The size of their arrangements. I paid over $100 for a very small one and it didn't even seem to be worth the amount I paid. Very DISAPPOINTED. THEY WERE nice on the phone but the arrangement was a disappointment. read more

Rewritten from 2020 I just completed my fourth order with Twig & Petal, and once again, Bella exceeded all expectations. Unsure of flower availability during the chaos of the pandemic, I reached out to see if she could recreate a beautiful arrangement she had made for me last November. She responded quickly, with thoughtfulness and clarity. This time, the order was especially meaningful, as it was a sympathy bouquet for a dear friend who had just lost her grandmother to COVID. Because the loss was so sudden, time was of the essence. Bella not only took my request seriously, but assured me she would treat the order with the utmost care and urgency. When the flowers arrived, my friend texted me immediately. She included a photo, and the moment I saw it, I thought, Bella arranged this as if it were for her own grandmother. The bouquet was stunning, elegant, heartfelt, and full of life. It was clear that every detail was handled with compassion and artistry. I haven't experienced this level of customer service in a very long time. Bella is a rare talent and a true professional. She has earned all of my future business--and more than five stars. She deserves ten. Bella, if you're reading this--thank you from the bottom of my heart. read more

Never received my flowers and did not receive them on the day I ordered them to be delivered for my parents' anniversary. The next day received an email that they were delivered (a day late) but they were never delivered. Have tried emailing and calling the business with no response. Update: shortly after I posted Yelp review, team emailed me back offering next day delivery of flowers, refund, and additional free flower delivery. Not sure if it was the computer system but my issue is that I was charged the cost of the flowers and delivery (even though it could not be honored) and then an email confirmation was given the next day saying the flowers were delivered when they weren't. Nice of the team to try to rectify things though. read more

I ordered a delivery for a friend and was so pleased! When she sent me a photo, the flower arrangement was fuller and even more lovely than the example on the website! And the card was so beautifully written with elegant penmanship that it elevated the whole arrangement! You can tell that the team pays attention to detail. I'll definitely be a repeat customer! read more

Above and beyond customer service. I was initially disappointed with the arrangement because the colors didn't match what was pictured. But Bella reached out immediately to rectify my concerns. She explained that they didn't have many pink/pastel flowers available because Mother's Day was last weekend, which is understandable. But Bella was able to add peonies and the anemones to make it a lush bouquet. I'm always impressed by a business that goes out of their way to satisfy the customer and Bella Jardin did just that. read more

This was my first time ordering from Twig and Petals. I prefer to order from local florists vs big online companies as the quality of flowers just do not compare. Plus there is something extra special about receiving a floral delivery where everything is already arranged in a lovely vase vs having to open up a box and do it yourself. I ordered the standard size of the Beautiful Pastels arrangement which is an additional $50 more than least expensive version, the petite. The recipients were very happy, appreciative and the arrangement was pretty. My only feedback would be that it would be really nice if T&P had additional photos of the different sizing options (or descriptions) so that when one contemplates ordering from petite, petite plus, standard, standard plus, deluxe, deluxe plus, premium and premium plus, we can see how full the arrangement will look. Is the one photo shown on their web page, the premium plus size? Would be helpful. read more

Bella was great! Caught her at the flower mart getting flowers, answered her phone polite courteous and called me back when in studio. I was ordering flowers for my mother in law, after a surgery at Stanford hospital. Great selection on website, was unsure of size, Bella helped me decide on standard size of purple tin. A bit pricey, but was my choice and well worth it! Beautiful arrangement and my mother in law loved them! Fresh, well arranged and beautifully done! read more

The bottom line is the concept matches the product- awesome! On top of the presentation, I requested they bump me up in order of delivery because my wife's office closes at 4 pm- it was last minute and they made it happen. I understand the delivery guy was great too! All in all- beautiful arrangement, great concept, and excellent customer service. I will use them every time I do something dumb! Bella creates the most spectacular arrangements on the Peninsula and deliveries are done without a hitch! For Mother's Day, the blend of colors and unusual flowers (Iceland poppies, peonies, sweet peas, ranunculus - OMG!!!) was simply gorgeous and was deeply appreciated by my discerning Mum (herself a Master Gardener). Twig & Petals was great too, but Bella has taken this florist to a new level. read more

Experience was simple. They understood what I was looking for. Very helpful and delivered exactly as ordered. Thanks!!

Healthy & attractive arrangement. Completed delivery on short notice. Steep price, but the quality & artistic execution worth the cost. If concerned about size, ask about the height of the arrangement. I was told the dimensions of the vase. Somewhat useless, since the stems were cut short, and left me wanting more. I recommend the business, just SET YOUR EXPECTATIONS TO PAY MORE THAN LESS. read more

Very prompt communications. I hope it was as nice as the online description. I received a notice an orchid plant arrangement I ordered had been delivered for a memorial event. But, I really would have liked photo of the actual plant delivery. For out of town deliveries, it's really hard to know if it was especially nice or not. I don't do this often, but the additional delivery charges seemed especially high. read more

Bella created a beautiful custom arrangement as a gift. She was very responsive over email, even though we kept missing each other on the phone, so I was able to have it delivered on time. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I wanted to surprise my wife with flowers at the table for our 16th wedding anniversary dinner. I have to admit I was really nervous about the logistics of finding the right florist to create an arrangement my wife would like and also have faith that they would deliver the flowers to the restaurant for my surprise. I scoured Yelp for florist reviews in and around Palo Alto before deciding on Twig and Petals. T&P's reviews stood out so I gave them a call. I spoke to Bella about my plan and about what my wife would like. She was patient and had some fantastic ideas of what to do (I don't know much about flowers so I just had to smile as Bella ran through a list of flowers that I was clueless about). At the end of our conversation I knew I had made a good choice and that everything was going to work out as planned. The arrangement was delivered to the restaurant on-time and looked amazing. My wife's eyes lit up when she saw them; the mix of colors, shapes and textures was perfect. Thank you Twig and Petals for a truly 5 star experience. Cheers! read more

Outstanding service - quality flowers - exquisite arrangement. I ordered over the telephone with Bella, as it was my first experience with Twig and Petal, although they have a fully functional and extremely user friendly online order form. She was patient, helpful, had excellent suggestions, and when given a budget, managed to stay within it, including tax and delivery charges (which were quite reasonable). Upon arrival, the delivery was on time, discreet, and the flowers were the most beautiful of all the other deliveries (there were others, from supposedly reputable florists around town, which shall remain nameless, that were simply embarrassing, and come to find out, more expensive-I saw the amex bill from corporate!) Five days later, Bella's arrangement from Twig and Petal had blossomed beautifully, and still looked and smelled as fresh as the first day... whilst the OTHER bouquets, I had to prune, rework and discard much of their "fern" foliage/greenery and rotting/cheap (?) flowers (which thankfully Bella does not use). The Twig and Petal bouquet made a great impact in a compact package, did not obstruct anyone's view or work, but packed an impressive punch. I like important flowers in impact-full arrangements, but oftentimes need to think of the recipient and not myself. Bella at Twig and Petal helps me achieve both, I get to send an important arrangement in a thoughtful package (maybe they are scent sensitive, have space limitations, etc). Her arrangements are utterly exquisite in her choice of unique floral combinations, textures, colors, and greenery. She uses high quality - heavy weight modern glassware - omits the kitch bows, baby breath and ferns (ugh!), her cards are proper high end gift cards & most tasteful, even the card holder is wire - not plastic - every detail is thought of. Utter perfection. So often one sends flowers and does not really see the end result and more importantly the result five days later. I had that privilege here and am most grateful. Twig and Petal really shines head and shoulders above the rest. Brava!! I am truly impressed by her talents and intend to make her my go-to florist going forward for all my gift giving needs. read more

Such a pretty arrangement! I got a surprise delivery from my boyfriend at work and these flowers were impressive. Bella exceeded all epxectations for our elopement. I didnt have a clue what I wanted so I jsut said neutral and bridal. She came up with a bouquet that was even better than I could have imagined. I didnt even know the names of half the flowers in it, but it was gorgeous and somehow perfectly me. She even sent her husband at 7am to deliver them to our home because she didnt want me to stress about keeping them overnight. Bella is the best! I found myself working from across the country to fill in and help with wedding and rehearsal dinner plans for my son and his bride from PaloAlto. She came highly reccomemded from a local and I couldn't have been happier. She worked very hard to help us to be conservative financially and still have the most beautiful flowers and table arrangements for multiple locations. She was very prompt with her emails back and forth, the quotes were right on and she was able to adjust to some last minute additions and corrections. She was on location when we needed her, she was truly such a joy to work with...Everything you would look for in your favorite home-town floral designer but she is my long distance home town favorite! She saved me from many of the heartaches of a long distance wedding and events. Best of luck in 2012 and thanks for everything in 2011 MOG-Atlanta, Ga read more

Twig and Petals is totally off the beaten path, but it's so worth the hunt - an amazing find! I asked her to do some flowers for a bridal shower that I was throwing, gave her very little instruction beyond "here's the brides favorite flower, and the color scheme" and she pulled together a few arrangements that were absolutely perfect! I wish I had been there when the flowers were delivered (I got to run errands all morning instead) but the other bridesmaids were thrilled with their professionalism and work. I must have gotten more complements on the flowers that day than on the rest of the party! Bella is an absolutely brilliant joy to work with - even if you've got little to no knowledge of flowers. I would highly recommend her to anyone (in fact I've got another wedding coming up in Mississippi that I wish she could collaborate on!) She is truly one of a kind. Also: just since she's removed from the main Menlo Park through-fair doesn't mean you should skip the storefront. It is utterly gorgeous, minimalist and full of inspiring things for your event and every day. I can't even explain how charmed I was by them! read more
