Highly recommend Especially the ice cream--it's really delicious! I'll definitely come back.

This is a must-try place for the Warabimochi Uji Matcha Sundae or other option! I've tried a few different places, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this place offering this kind of dessert for only $9.59-9.99! We also tried their Premium Matcha Latte, Matcha Latte with Soybean Powder, and soft-serve ice cream, and we absolutely loved everything. One thing we especially appreciated was that the desserts and drinks weren't overly sweet. If you're having the drinks together with the dessert, I would recommend adding +10g of sugar for that option is available. The Warabimochi sundae and soft serve have a rich matcha flavor, so the drink can taste less sweet when you have them together. Really loved that they don't make everything overly sweet like some other places. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be coming back to try more of their drinks and desserts.

Ice cream very yummy. Highly recommended

The ice cream here is really good! Their matcha flavor is rich and creamy without being too sweet. I especially liked the combination of mochi, red bean, crispy rice, and ice cream--there are so many different textures, and everything goes really well together. Their matcha drinks are also rich, fragrant, and delicious. Definitely recommend both the matcha soft serve and their drinks!

Went to this spot for the first time and really enjoyed my visit. Katherine was extremely helpful and super nice! She recommended me the Gozen Premium Matcha Latte and the drink was so good! Somebody give her a raise!

You order at a kiosk and wait for your name to be called, then pick up your drinks at the counter. There are some benches outside in this plaza, so if you want to sit, you can. Their matcha is exceptional, and although the line can get very long, they are so efficient that your drinks are ready in no time. I'd say the longest part of the process is waiting for someone to place their order at the kiosk. As a vegan, I stick to the fruit teas like Strawberry Yuzu Matcha Tea, Red Dragon Refresher, Lychee Matcha Tea, and Yuzu Matcha Tea. However, prior to becoming vegan 3-ish years ago, I did try the Crème Brûlée Matcha and Okinawa Hojicha Latte. Each drink is delicious in its own way, and I love that the matcha shines regardless of the flavor you choose. During my recent visit, I had the Strawberry Yuzu Matcha. The screen suggested keeping it as is instead of choosing "less sweet," so I stuck with the original. I liked it, but next time I'll definitely go with less sweet. It wasn't a sugar bomb, but it was a bit sweeter than I prefer.

They had 120+ drinks being made at all times according to their board, so definitely order at least an hour ahead of time on the weekends. When we finally got our drinks, we chugged them because we were so thirsty and they were sooo good. We ordered a variety of drinks: Strawberry Avocado Kale, Strawberry Daifuku, Durian Smoothie and a few of their other fruit smoothies. The Strawberry Avocado Kale and Strawberry Daifuku were definitely the top 2 drinks for us and I'm excited to come back to try the regular Avocado Kale with popping oat boba! There is plenty of seating inside but if you don't like the smell of durian, then I probably wouldn't sit there. Once you enter the store, you are blasted with a waft of durian air. Overall, 10/10, can't wait to come back when I'm in South Bay!

Given their notoriety for fruit drinks, I went for one of their grape smoothies with jelly for a topping. They don't offer traditional boba here but other similar toppings are available. The smoothie I had was very good I must say. I could taste the fresh fruits blended with just a hint of sweetness. None of it felt overpowering and was really refreshing for a hot day. We did have to wait maybe 15 minutes for our drinks due to so many online orders but I've had worse wait times. The parking lot is small but we were lucky to find a spot rather quickly when we went on an early weekday evening.

I came around 6:50PM on a Saturday and there was a small line for the order kiosk. After I ordered, there were a limited number of seats since people tend to hangout in friend groups and treat it as their 3rd space, so be prepared to fight for a table if you're coming during peak times. I sat down and realized they were a whole 10+ orders behind, meaning I waited at least 25mins before getting my bingsu! I ordered a honeydew yogurt bingsu and it was $20. Inflation may be a little crazy, but this was a little above what I was expecting. It came with about 1/2's worth of honeydew. The bowl was not topped with bingsu, and I felt like there are more melons than bingsu (not ok). There were some sweet cheese pieces inside (yummy), some unsweetened frozen yogurt, and the rest was yogurt flavored bingsu. Although healthy, the bingsu itself was NOT sweet enough and I felt sick after eating so much unsweetened yogurt. I wish they gave us a cup of condensed milk like they do at every other bingsu place... Service was slow and everything is self serve, from getting your bingsu at the front to bussing your tray. I do believe there are other bingsu spots in Bay Area that give a similar experience with more variety and better pricing. I do not look forward to waiting almost 30min after spending $20 for a bingsu that's only half bingsu with honeydew layered on top.

I've been coming to La Patisserie in Cupertino for years, usually when I'm already in the area…read moreshopping. There are a lot more fancy dessert shops around the Bay Area these days, but somehow I still come back for their Guava Cake. It's actually a strange craving. I don't think about this cake every week. Sometimes I completely forget about it for months, then one day something goes wrong in my brain and suddenly I NEED a guava cake. I've had this cake many times over the years and that's probably what impresses me most - it really hasn't changed much. Same fluffy cake, same very fragrant guava flavor, same bright old-school appearance. Maybe the angle of the whipped cream piping has changed a few degrees over the years, but I'll allow that process deviation. The guava flavor is the main reason I keep buying it. To me, it tastes surprisingly natural and close to real fruit. I've had plenty of guava desserts where you immediately get that artificial syrup/flavoring impression. I don't get that here. The guava is strong and fragrant, the cake itself is very light and fluffy, and the mousse and glossy guava topping give you that fruit flavor in almost every bite. This is definitely an old-school cake. It's not trying to be Lady M or some modern Instagram dessert. And that's fine. A good traditional cake is still a good cake. Usually I'm buying the whole cake to bring to someone's house, so I've watched a lot of first-timers try it over the years. Guava is guava - some people think it's on the sweet side, others love how fragrant it is. But somehow this is the one guava cake I've brought around that pretty much everybody ends up liking. And one comment I hear a lot is how natural the guava flavor tastes. It's around $70 for a whole cake now, which definitely isn't cheap. But if I'm paying that much for cake, at least give me something I can actually remember the next day. This one I can. If I'm planning to pick one up around 4 or 5 PM, I normally order earlier in the day. I've learned not to conduct unnecessary cake-inventory experiments. After all these years, La Patisserie's Guava Cake is still basically the same cake I remember. Dr. C long-term stability study: PASSED. Whipped cream piping angle may have experienced minor process drift. No CAPA required.
