I really wish you guys would stop using AI generated photos. The matcha is grassy and the addition of jasmine matcha ice cream made the matcha enjoyable. It was a bit hard to mix the ice cream with the drink as the cup was filled up with ice. While it was admittedly good I'm not sure if I'll go out of my way to come here again.
Wow! The gelato here is awesome. I tried several flavors, but my favorites were the ube coconut and pistachio. Both tasted fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. We also tried the parfait. At almost $15, it's definitely a little pricey, but it was loaded with interesting ingredients and was really fun and whimsical. I'm not a matcha fan, so next time we'll ask if they can substitute another gelato flavor for the matcha. Everything else in the parfait was delicious. The ube coconut gelato was so good that now I want to try making my own at home. Definitely a place I'd come back to!
I honestly wasn't the hugest fan of the matcha drinks, but the desserts were pretty good! For matcha we had the fresh strawberry matcha latte & the milky mochi isuzu matcha latte. The matcha flavor is strong, but the flavor itself tasted a bit off. It tasted similar to the naoki brand matcha from amazon. I did enjoy the mochi aspect of the milky mochi isuzu match though. My favorite dessert that I tried was the half jasmine matcha half fragrant rice. Such a good flavor combo and both were extremely fragrant. The mango sticky rice sundae was perfectly not too sweet. I liked the inside of the viral mango crunch mousse but not a fan of the white chocolate exterior. Service is bare minimum. They let you sample ice cream which is nice. Few seats inside, all very clean. Overall: 3.8/5
Matcha Mori is located in a somewhat busy plaza; there's a moderate amount of parking available, and I didn't have trouble finding a spot. There is a limited amount of seating and very few outlets for charging, but there is free WiFi and the atmosphere is calm and comfortable. The service was very friendly. My drink came out quickly, and my questions were all answered with good accuracy. The menu focuses on gelato and matcha drinks, and the options are limited but not destitutely so. It was easy to find several appealing items, and I'm sure the same would be true for most. I enjoyed my drink--I do think this spot falls into that larger sphere of aesthetically-focused, slightly overpriced matcha spots that have really exploded in population lately. The drinks were pretty good, but not outstanding, which, for $9-$10 after tax is kind of hard to stomach. Even if the matcha was outstanding, I would have a hard time justifying the price. Overall, I do find this place pleasant, and may return in the future if I am in the area. I don't think I would go out of my way to visit, though.
Been here twice in 1 week since I seen they had a mango sticky rice products such as the cup one and a smoothie I enjoyed the one in the cup better. Also I always just get their coconut water because it's refreshing! You order on their kiosk. Lots of space to sit as well. Also forgot I tried the Ube ice cream and it was good as well! Lots of things on the menu to choose from!
We ordered via kiosk and got the pistachio matcha and a gelato cup with the matcha 3 and Sicilian pistachio. The matcha drink was nice and creamy, with a hint of earthiness. The pistachio cream was a nice addition and didn't taste superficial. It was almost hazelnutty. The gelato was lovely. Both the matcha 3 and pistachio felt well done. They had good mouth feel but didn't feel heavy. In saying that, the shop itself was alright. Some rows of seating. All full of course. The live music right outside was a nice welcome. I didn't interact much with employees outside of accepting my drink but people seemed friendly enough. I will say though, $10 for a pistachio matcha with oat milk felt a lil silly to me. The drink, while good, didn't particularly stand out much when compared to a drink I could make at home for closer to $6.
Writing this review based off of the GELATO only. I plan to come back to try a matcha latte some time but after reading other reviews, it seems like the matcha lattes were more underwhelming. Gelato was fantastic though! // Mango passionfruit My favorite flavor for the brightness! It had a muted tartness (not sour) which balanced very well with the fruity, freshness of the mango and passionfruit. Very creamy and smooth texture. Highly recommend. // Jasmine matcha Good floral flavor with the matcha. If you prefer a stronger matcha, I'd likely go with the Matcha No. 3 gelato. Not overly sweet and also very creamy and aromatic. Jasmine notes were not too strong. I will say Matcha Mori was a bit on pricier end. A 2-scoop cup was a little over $8 after tax. Scoops were quite small and more snack-size. I did really enjoy the gelato but I'll need to review the lattes next. Overall, cute modern cafe vibes but perhaps on pricier side for what you get. 4 stars if considering price. 5 stars for gelato flavor/texture.
Come stop by this cute little Matcha shop, right off the El Camino. Delicious verity's, and options, was served fast and friendly. Ethan was a great help quick with drinks and very friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by for a quick gelato or delicious matcha!!!
Really enjoyed the matcha here! They have really unique flavors and takes on their drinks. I got the creme brulee matcha, strawberry matcha, and their regular matcha latte and everything tasted fantastic. I also highly recommend their gelatos as well!
Matcha is definitely strong in the drinks here! Unfortunately, I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavor of whatever matcha they use (there is a hint of something too herbal maybe??). I got the Matcha Foam Coconut Cloud and really enjoyed it. The matcha cloud was the perfect sweetness paired with the refreshing coconut water, which was great because you can't adjust the sweetness level on this drink. I appreciated them filling my drink in my personal cup. I tried my friends' drinks--Milki Matcha, Salted Cheese Matcha, & Double Double Matcha; I enjoyed mine the best. All drinks had a very prominent matcha flavor, which was most important to me (: The extremely loud EDM playing was honestly a huge bummer and contributed to a very overstimulating environment in the already crowded and small shop.
Overpriced basic matcha I've been wanting to try this place and was finally in the area. Parking was easy and plenty as it's in a plaza and the interior is bright and clean. Service is ok - minimal interaction with the employees since you order at the 2 kiosks. I asked for the bathroom code and they didn't say anything, but just pointed at a note. As for the drinks, the matcha is pre batched and pricey. $1 extra for oat milk (they use regular oatly, not barista edition if that matters to you). The drinks ARE good, but I don't think $10 for it is worth it
Matcha Mori is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, high-quality matcha. From the moment you walk in, it's clear that the focus is on craftsmanship rather than overly sweet, trendy drinks. Dubai chewy cookie is honestly one of my favorites it's not overly sweet and it has a lot of kataifi. I love how they don't cheap out on it. I ordered a matcha latte, and it was excellent. The matcha had a vibrant color, smooth texture, and a rich, earthy flavor with just the right amount of natural bitterness. It was well-balanced, allowing the quality of the tea to shine without being drowned out by sweetness. The café has a calm, minimalist atmosphere that's perfect for slowing down and enjoying your drink. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the different matcha options.

Would suggest coming more late on during the day because it does get super packed in the morning. Tried 3 matchas of strawberry matcha, mango matcha, and the creme brulee. I really liked the mango and strawberry the most. Not a fan of the soggy crumbles in the creme brulee. read more
Came by again for gelato. This weekend they were celebrating their grand opening. Gelato and a few other menu items were half off! Live music - place was packed. I agree with others that normally price can be a bit high, but today's half off gelato was a great deal! This time I tried traditional matcha, Japanese yuzu sorbet, and repeated Sicilian pistachio. Absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient despite what seemed to have been an unusually busy weekend. read more

The drinks here are pretty good. I usually come during off peak times and there hasn't really been too much of a wait and parking was plentiful. Easy ordering through the kiosk/tablet. It's a small place but there are a few spots inside for dining in or just hanging out. Although pretty good, the drinks are a bit pricey even for the area. Convenient and delicious for a drop in now and then! read more

First of all their drinks are beautiful. They taste just as good as they look. I enjoyed both the strawberry matcha latte and their creme brûlée matcha. The crème brûlée matcha has a slight saltiness which creates a nice contrast with the sweetness. I highly recommend both drinks I tried. They're delicious!! 100/10 read more
Randomly stumbled on this place after climbing at Movement next door. No idea how the matcha drinks are since we only got gelatos. I think this place might be our new favorite gelato spot. Their rice milk flavor is so unique, and the texture is perfect. They have some seating inside so you can hang out after getting the drinks or gelato. I had a very unpleasant experience here after trying the creme brulee matcha drink. Shortly after, I became extremely ill and nearly passed out while I was out in public. Thankfully, I was with my family that day. The following day, once I was feeling a little better, I contacted the store to let them know what had happened. Unfortunately, I never received any response or follow-up, which was disappointing given the severity of the situation. I understand that this could have been a one-off incident, but I wanted to share my experience to make other customers aware. The drink itself was also very disappointing. It tasted artificial, too sweet and seemed as though it may not have been very fresh. It was also extremely heavy, lacked matcha flavor, and I honestly did not understand the hype. With so many new matcha spots opening around the Bay Area, I would personally recommend getting a matcha latte elsewhere. Unfortunately, based on both the drink and my personal experience, I would not return and neither would my family or friends. This dessert spot hits all the marks! The interior has a super modern feel with lovely marble counters and a clean, bright layout. The crème brûlée with Biscoff was delicious, especially with the thick cheese top. I added the additional tea jelly which enhanced the texture and flavor. The rice and matcha gelato combo was incredibly creamy. The rice flavor has real rice pieces and the Matcha No. 3 is perfectly strong and bitter. Service is fast thanks to the ordering kiosks, and the server was nice enough to clean off the sticky outside of our cups before giving them to us. Highly recommend! read more
Not a good experience. Came here because the ratings are good on google maps. Ordered the matcha frappe thinking it would have a strong matcha flavor, but for some reason it contained sort of like Biscoff cookie pieces inside that was a huge downside and not appetizing at all. I couldn't finish the drink and had to throw it away. Not coming again especially given how high the prices are. read more

There is a new matcha spot in Mountain View! I ordered their Matcha No 1 and Silician Pistachio gelato flavors in a regular cup. The Silician Pistachio was tasty, light, and creamy! The Matcha No 1 gelato flavor was a little more clumpy, but had a rich matcha taste! The space is open and inviting, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. I went on a weekday afternoon, and there were less people. The prices are on the higher end, my regular cup with two gelato flavors cost over $8. Would return again! read more

overall decent spot for matcha and ice cream if you're in the area, but it's not worth the extremely long wait times. the mostly 5 stars on google are from opening promotions, so take those reviews with a grain of salt we got the double matcha, isuzu matcha latte, and strawberry + mango passion fruit sorbet got lowest sweetness for both matchas and they were on the sweeter and milkier side, I could tell they use pretty high quality matcha at first sip but I think the proportions were a bit off because once blended with the milk, you can barely taste the matcha the sorbets were pretty good, very smooth, fruity, and sweet, but at a high price point read more

So many new matcha spots popping up in the Bay Area, but this one actually stands out for strong matcha, not too sweet and fun gelato flavors such as Fragrant Milk Rice + Matcha Jasmine. My favorite was their Milky Mochi Matcha latte because the drinkable mochi topping was so addictive. Also these drinks surprisingly left me wired all day. This place is def worth adding to your matcha list for your next adventure! After picking up my daughter from school, she noticed a new matcha tea shop opened up next door to little caesers. She decided to pop in and explore the menu a bit. She saw that they have gelato and wanted to try it out. She ordered the fragrant rice milk flavor. I got to sample it and we both agreed that it was delicious. great place! I'm surprised it only had a 3.5/5 on yelp. OVERALL: this place has solid drinks, a pretty quick/responsive staff, and good ambiance (even if the inside is a bit small). it's not my matcha place in the pensinsula, but it's solid and def deserves higher than the current 3.5/5. my only critique is that I find it a bit strange that matcha mori tapes up all but one of their outlets. I understand the reasoning on the business end. however, I'm very much a believer in cafes as third-spaces. as a new cafe, I'd want to cultivate comfort/community so that people WANT to come back. but also, I get wanting to increase customer turnover so that you can pay your rent. ANYWAY, I got: - milky mochi isuzu matcha latte: 5/5 YUM! I was a bit apprehensive since most places put too much or too little mochi, but matcha mori had the perfect amount. and the mochi actually tasted like sweet rice which I really loved! I don't like my drinks too sweet so I got 30% sweet like I usually do, and honestly I wish I would've gotten 50% sweet. the matcha was strong with a very nutty flavor and a bit of a bitter aftertaste. not gritty at all. the milk top was SOOOOOO yum. CAN YOU STUDY HERE? 3.9/5 -- tbh yeah, they have one open outlet and a couple more outlets taped up, a restroom, comfortable seats, sizable tables, and it's not too loud. however, again ONE outlet and it's a bit small inside. if you come early with a charged laptop, for sure! I haven't been so excited to write about a matcha spot for awhile. I know Boba Bliss(down the street) is good and I wasn't really feeling matcha, but I wanted to try out a new spot and I am so glad I did because I am obsessed! The strawberry gelato caught my eye and I mainly wanted to get it so my toddler could have some. After selecting the rice and strawberry gelato, I was casually scrolling through the menu and kept wanting more. My friends got their drinks before I was even done ordering so I finalized my order with the Matcha latte float (jasmine matcha gelato) and the gelato. Both items had really bold flavors and the matcha was smooth and not grainy or chalky. The matcha latte was light and refreshing, and matched well with the jasmine gelato, which made it rich and creamy. I inhaled the entire drink before the ice had a chance to melt. It was so rich that it left a coating on the ice and I was literally thinking about making a second drink by adding just water to the remnants. I didn't ...but I should have! The gelato was really really good. I missed this one tofu gelato I had in Hong Kong and the rice flavor reminded me of it(I know ....they are completely different. Indirectly hinting for them to create a new flavor =p, girl can only hope right? Please let me know if you ever see tofu on their menu!) Love the freeze dried strawberry and the rice bits. I would 100% come back to Matcha Mori. Before leaving, we were offered a new dessert to try as a possible new item. I'm not sure whether they will offer it not and I don't want to spoil the surprise either so I just want to say, it was unique, refreshing and delicious. read more

Was around the area and craving matcha! Found Matcha Mori and so glad I did! There was a bit of a crowd, but we got our order quickly after ordering on the kiosk. Inside was a wall of tables where people were chatting & working. The Matcha itself was a little on the bitter and pricy end but tastes high quality. The boba inside the brown sugar matcha was super delicious! I would definitely recommend if youre wanting quality flavored matcha- I would love to try their strawberry or mango next! read more

Came in here to try the matcha & almost ordered the whole menu LOL we got the strawberry matcha latte: 10/10 cream was thick & sweet! the creme brulee matcha latte: 10/10 my favorite Matcha is soo strong & the brûlée topping is perfect! pork floss mochi sandwich: lacked a little flavor but the por floss ties up all together. strawberry & jasmine ice cream:10/10 jasmine was sooo fragrant! Before I start my review , I want to give a sincere feedback to the owner/staff. So please don't take it in a wrong way but as a constructive criticism since I have tried Matcha drinks at 20+ places before and I feel you will be able to improvise on it and earn some loyal Matcha aficionados. Please try the same ' Crème Brûlée Matcha swirl latte' drink at Izumi Matcha- Cupertino which is at the same price like yours and then see for yourself what a vast difference it is in terms of quality and recipe of your creation with it. I sincerely felt when I had your version, it was as if I was having a Biscoff drink with lots of egg cream, cookie crumbs and lots of ice with a minimum quantity of matcha. There is really a feeling of completely mismatched expectations for a customer like me who wanted a simple matcha latte drink with crème brûlée. Try your competition and then decide for yourself! Disappointing experience at Matcha Mori - we waited over 30+ minutes for our drinks - they forgot 1 of 2 drinks in our order, so one was made and one was forgotten until my husband asked why everyone's orders after ours were called and ours weren't after waiting 30+ minutes. One drink was ready and it sat there forever so it wasn't good anymore and the other one they quickly made wasn't great. We understand they are newly opened and they hand whisk their drinks but I think this is a one and done for us. There are better spots out there worth visiting. read more
