A definite experience in ice cream. It's on the pricey side but it is a show and has fresh ingredients. No line so we were served quickly. My kid had the best- Nutella, strawberry and chocolate. The strawberries were super fresh and yummy. I'd get that for sure next time. Mine was good but not the best- coffee, Oreos and peanut butter. I still liked mine- the coffee was potent. The place is small and I could see it getting crowded. I liked eating there to get the full flavor and experience of a rolled ice cream. read more

In the mood for some rolls but to serve a sweet tooth? Kween's is tasty spot to satisfy the craving! I visited for their matcha ice cream, and added in almonds, popping boba, cheesecake, and mochi. While the matcha ice cream, almond, and cheesecake combo was super delicious, the others were a let down. For starters, the mochi wasn't what I had expected, as I was expecting a much thicker, Japanese-like one - oops! The popping boba was also a decent add-on, but I don't think this went well with my creation. All rolled ice cream is made to order, and the best part is being able to watch the entire process. There are a few tables to sit in, but note that it's quite small, since most customers will take it to go. Overall, this spot is definitely worth a visit for the next tasty rolled ice cream creation. read more

For $6 a scoop, this place is truly a must GO for dessert if you are in the Mountain View area. The $6 scoop, is more like a $6 cup full of ice cream. It look me around 15 minutes to finish the whole thing and I am considered a fast eater... I got the mint flavor and it tasted exactly how you would expect a mint ice cream flavor to taste and bonus points for it having so many chocolate chips in it. Every bite was fun to eat and it was delicious. Not much else to say, but great ice cream, clean environment, and friendly staff. Disclaimer: They offer you a free ice cream scoop for leaving a review, but the fact that is free does not impact my rating of the ice cream! Decided to come here for a sweet treat after dinner. I ordered the Thai tea rolled ice cream with Oreo crushed in and condensed milk and mochi toppings. Once I ordered, the worker got to work rolling it right away so my ice cream came out really fast. You can taste the Thai tea flavor in the ice cream but I wish it was a bit stronger as the Oreo really muddled the flavor. The mochi is a nice added texture too. My friend ordered a scoop of ice cream and omg you def need to share it because the scoop was huge and they did not finish it. I would say it is really worth your money for the rolled ice cream but I would definitely be back for the scooped ice cream. read more

Kweens is a solid dessert stop in the downtown Mountain View. The location is pretty convenient for a date or hang out because you swing by after lunch or dinner nearby. The space is a pretty good size with several tables, so it works well whether you're coming as a couple or with a small group. I tried the ube ice cream and really enjoyed it. It's creamy and not too sweet. They also have a bunch of different options on the menu, which is always nice if you're with people who want to try different things. Rolled ice cream can sometimes take a while, but my order came out faster than expected. Service was good and friendly overall. read more

In the heart of DT MV, a cute ice cream shop lies with the cutest and most knowledgeable Kween's staff, Ashley and I'm sorry but forgot the girl's name. I really wanted to like Kween's more. I like the idea of rolled ice cream. Watching the folks make it was fun. It's Benihana...for ice cream. However, the ice cream I got Oreo was not very flavorful. It was creamy in texture, but not much in the way of flavor. It was a bit of a surprise. Service was good that the team member that served me was helpful in making a suggestion. I came here two days in a row with one simple mission: get a shake. That's it. But both times I was met with the same crushing news--the blender is broken. Cue heartbreak. Now, I'll admit--I'm not a regular at independent ice cream shops, so walking into a spot with a split menu (rolled vs regular ice cream, with different flavor options for each) kind of sent me into decision paralysis. I was already disappointed about the shake, and trying to decode the menu on the fly made me a little anxious. So what did I do? I panic-ordered. Ended up with cookie dough ice cream, crushed Oreos, and what I can only describe as a pleasantly reckless amount of Nutella. (Nutella makes everything better.) Fingers crossed the blender is up and running next time. And hoping this isn't one of those "McDonald's ice cream machine is 'broken' because nobody wants to clean it" situations (kidding...mostly ). read more

You would think since it's winter now, I wouldn't be craving ice cream, but this didn't apply last night! I swung by Kween's last night around 6-7pm. The workers were so nice and patient while I figured out what I wanted to order. I ordered ube ice cream rolls as my base with toasted coconut flakes and Oreos as my mix-ins topped with mochi. My kids wanted rolled ice cream, but when it was time to order, the person helping us didn't explain how the ordering process worked or offer any recommendations. We didn't realize we were supposed to say exactly what we wanted for the rolled ice cream. It would have been helpful if they had shared the options or guided us a bit. Unfortunately, all we got in the moment was "sorry," and the kids left disappointed. That said, the owner later reached out to me personally after seeing my review and refunded our order. I really appreciated them taking the time to make things right and acknowledging the experience. It shows they care about their customers and are willing to improve. Customer service like that definitely means a lot. Everyone deserves second chances. read more

Been here before for the rolled ice cream which was a fun experience to see them put together. Came here recently for the 2nd time since they offer Marianne's ice cream. The Heaven flavor was amazing & would recommend for those who like peanut butter. I liked how the peanut butter wasn't too sweet, it had a lil hint of salt to it which went well with the caramel & brownie bits. Service was quick, just grab your own spoon when you walk further inside. Wish they'd tidy up the place a bit, otherwise it would be a nice spot to dine in. There was also a bad smell that seemed strong & it threw me off because I thought it was just near the entrance but you can also smell it further inside. read more

Better than the other ice cream place that used to be here (Icicles) in downtown Mountain View. Except the table closest to the back of the store, is wobbling, they have an AI generated image displayed on the wall, and there were 5 big flies (or beetle???) on the ceiling and wall. Also the cookie dough tasted cross contaminated with lavender or another floral type. This place is not just about ice cream--it's a full experience! It was so much fun to watch the staff make the ice cream right in front of us on a freezing cold round plate. The process was super entertaining and made the treat even more special. The ice cream itself was absolutely delicious. You can choose from their preset combinations or build your own from scratch. They offer a wide variety of flavors, mix-ins, and toppings. I went with a chocolate base, added banana, caramel, strawberries, whipped cream, and toasted marshmallows--so good! And you can add as many toppings as you want, which is a nice bonus. They offer both small and large sizes. I got a small, and it was surprisingly filling. For two small custom-made ice creams, we paid $22.04--not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality and the fun of the experience. The only downside: the place could use a bit more attention to cleanliness. It wasn't terrible, but it would make the overall experience even better if the environment matched the quality of the dessert. Still, highly recommend it if you're looking for a sweet treat with a fun twist read more

We got the sorbet ice cream and hot chocolate. Sorbet ice cream was really good - I would give this 4/5 given I am generally not into sorbets. Hot chocolate was very chocolatey and HOT. It was much needed for a very cold evening. I would give the drink a 5/5. They have more interesting aspects to their business in the ice cream rolls they offer, which I will have to come back and try, but so far this spot is pretty legit! Staff: SUPER FRIENDLY. One of the faster rolled ice cream places! Line went by fairly quick and we got our rolled ice cream within 5 minutes! The cookie butter rolled ice cream with Oreo was yummy! the pistachio tastes very artificial, I would skip on that one. Who needs a club when you have Ice Cream Kween?!? Came here on a Saturday night 30 minutes before closing. Rolled ice cream: 5/5. I ordered a cookie butter ice cream base with almond and brownie mix ins, and cookie butter and graham cracker as toppings. Ice cream tasted delicious and made right in front of you. Note: there is also the option to get scooped ice cream if you are not interested in rolled ice cream. Service: 4/5. Cashier could have showed a little enthusiasm but it was towards the end of his shift. The ice cream was made pretty quick and we didn't have to wait long for it. Ambiance: 4/5. The music was so loud it felt like I was at a club! It was hard to hear the cashier and we had yell to talk to each other. Parking: 5/5. Street parking only. This ws my first time ever trying rolled ice cream, nd now I already want more! I got the coconut sorbet regular cup, and my fiancé got the Vanilla Oreo small cup. Both were full of flavor and nicely presented. They roll the ice cream behind the counter so you can watch. It was a cool experience. Great dessert place at downtown Mountain View, famous for their rolled ice cream. The servings are pretty big, I definitely recommend splitting with someone because it's actually a challenge to finish one all by yourself. Meet the Business Owner: Ashley L.

Hello! My name is Ashley I'm the owner of Ice Cream Kween. I've been in the ice cream industry for about 8-9 years now. I was a manager at an ice cream shop in San Jose (previously in San Pedro Square). I really enjoyed the flavors from the San Jose shop and I had lots of fun making new flavors for the business and on their Thursday karaoke nights. Once Covid hit I lost my managing job and then got the opportunity to purchase an ice cream shop in Mountain View! I had my rolled ice cream shop in Mountain View for about 2 years then by 2024 I decided to have my own brand ice cream shop that is now Ice Cream Kween. My Ideas for Ice Cream Kween are coming from all of my years in the ice cream industry and also trying to create a more personal customer experience. I love hearing and taking notes on what you guys would like to experience at my ice cream shop.
