Double Chocolate Chip Cookie
Stephanie L.

I had to pick up pizza in this area, and was hungry, so I stop by this bakery for a quick snack. They sell a variety of breads, salads, and cookies. I got the double chocolate chip cookie with cherries. This cookie was HUGE. I love how it's super soft and the cherries were a nice touch. It was a delicious snack :)

I love the style of the pastries / breads here: dense, heavy, not too sweet, high quality ingredients, lots of seeds oats. If the aforementioned isn't your thing, then this spot might not be your thing :) When people complain about prices it's like - OKAY, you can't compare a small batch local bakery to prices you get at a big box store - the margins are completely different when you sell at low volume. I'm totally down to pay 3x if it means supporting the small guys and keeping these businesses alive. My wonderful mother brought back a sourdough currant scone and a seeded bread loaf from this bakery - the currant sourdough scone was wonderfully flaky and dense. I am excited to try the seed bread as avocado toast!

Little Sky Bakery is such a gem in Los Altos. The breads are amazing--full of flavor and that perfect chewy texture (the olive and raisin-walnut are my favorites). Their cookies are huge and delicious, and the mandos are super tasty. Everything tastes super fresh and made with care. A must-stop if you love good bread and baked treats. Super friendly guy at the front who walked me through options and helped me pick multiple items.

Small little bakery vendor inside a diverse food hall! You choose a selection of items and the baker can warm them up upon request. This mushroom bun needed the sauce that came with it

Little Sky Bakery is located inside the State Street Market, a food court on State Street. I'm posting my review on this Yelp business page because it is the the one that has the correct location listed. However, I'd like to point out that the business name is "Little Sky Bakery" and the Yelp page has the name misspelled with an extra "E" between the R and Y in the word Bakery. You can't miss this bakery, it is the first place on the left after you enter the State Street Market. They sell breads, sandwiches, cookies and more. Cookies may seem expensive at $6, however their cookies are HUGE. I don't think my photo shows how large they are. I picked up a Caprese Sandwich, which had tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto. It was pretty good! I would get it again. There was plenty of seating at State Street Market when I went there for lunch, on a weekday. Restrooms are available (and the restroom also has diaper changing station for the little ones). There is parking on the street or at nearby parking lots. I didn't have any trouble finding a spot.

First of all, I always enjoy coming to State Street market. It's nice that the bakery has a little booth inside this delicious food court. They offer many different choices from savory to sweet, and I'm sure they have a reputation for selling the largest cookies around. I decided to go for the veggie focaccia this morning which was very fresh because I got there right when they opened at 11:30. Exceeded my expectations: chewy, flavorful and filled with ricotta cheese. Highly recommended! I also tasted the healthy looking breakfast bar and was delighted by the flavor combination. I decided that I wasn't going to be healthy today but if you find yourself at a bakery regretting all of the less healthy options, this one is for you. For dessert, I'm going to indulge in a sourdough chocolate chip scone and given how much I'm liking the focaccia, I think I'm in for a treat.

Stopped by to pick up the sourdough seeded whole wheat loaf which is one of my favs. The bread is always really fresh and I love the texture.

They always have 3 delicious salad variants, next to the larger variety of pastry (only a small of it shown here).

Personally, I love Blue Door, which is a more affordable version of Ettan and serves delicious Indian street food. It's still on the pricier side, but the flavors are absolutely worth it. The drinks are great (also a bit pricey), and on Tuesday nights they host trivia -- which makes the whole place feel even more lively and energetic. I ordered a lychee martini, which was delicious, along with paneer tikka, naan, and daal makhani from Blue Door. We also shared the sesame leaf chaat (my favorite!) and a margarita pizza. The pizza was okay -- not my favorite, as the crust was a bit too crunchy for my liking. Overall, though, such a fun and vibrant spot!

Tons of boxed lunches and a lot of variety from sushi to many different cooked foods. Many frozen meat and fish items but almost all are frozen (other then the bento lunches). That was a bit diappointing. Had a bento lunch at the Pogu - Bulgogi. This was a good meal with plenty of banchan Also bought a matcha drink at the Cafe which was good. Bought some cookies at the Bakery, which is gluten free. Overall experience was good, but it's pretty hard to get to since I live west of 280 and there's no easy way to get there except down Page Mill, which is very slow. It's easier to just go to downtown Palo Alto or MV. Probably fiine for people living close to 101. They are right next door to Home Depot and I never go there unless I have to do major hardware shopping like lumber. So it's unclear whether I would make the effort to go to Mega Mart except to get stacks of short ribs or shabu shabu meats.

Late afternoon on a weekend, there wasn't too much of a crowd or line around 5:30pm. Parking was also reasonable too (to my surprise). Usually it can be difficult to find a good parking spot. There are a few tables inside for you to sit and enjoy your food after ordering. At the order counter, I got a few potato samosas and an order of pani puris. The pani puris came out to be roughly a dollar a piece, which wasn't too bad. Insides had garbanzo beans, onions, and some spicy water. Flavor overall was pretty good. I'm not sure what the difference is between pani puris since the first time I tried it at another place, they had yogurt inside too. The boards at the order counter boasted quite a few options, though I didn't see prices listed anywhere. I guess you'd need to ask before you buy to know. There were lots of curry options too for a plate lunch, though I'm not sure how long they typically sit out for. The potato samosas were quite spicy and also came with a dipping sauce. Good crunchy exterior with a soft filling. Glad I gave this place a try. Would come back again to try other affordable snacks too.

It also has literally food from all over China including Taiwanese food. The service is good and it's part of food court so I can't complain about the atmosphere. My problem has to do with the shenjianbao. I'm SO TIRED of places that had no pedigree of shanghainese food making shanghainese food. If you don't know how shanghainese food works don't make them. Shenjianbao looks ok but it's so bad. They got the size right and they did pan fry correctly on the "wrong" side (flipped upside down which is correct). However the dough is way too thick and the filling doesn't taste right. Nothing is right about the taste. The fact they also make frozen dumplings tells me that this is not made by someone who knows about shanghainese food. The rice burrito or Taiwanese rice roll is alright and even though it's slightly expensive but we are in the South Bay. I kinda don't want to say anything bad because the food court is obviously dying and I don't want it to die but making subpar shanghainese food gets on my nerves. Just take it off your menu and concentrate on stuff you know how to make.
