Awesome find! I live in Palo Alto and didn't even know about this hidden gem. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk (+$0.50) and a croissantwich with ham (+$0.75). Overall spent about $15 with a 15% tip. The latte was a real highlight here, I could clearly taste the matcha and the only sweetening came from the oat milk. It was a subtle sweetness that didn't overwhelm the matcha, it was great! As for the croissantwich, it was buttery, soft, and delicious (it was made to order!). Cute candy shop serving Frozen yogurt and refreshing drinks. It is hidden away from downtown Mountain View and may be the best kept secret in town. I ordered the Farmers Melt along with the Raspberry Sorbet on the side. The Farmers Melt was nice and toasty with the chicken breast, cheese and pesto making for an amazing savory Sandwich. If you're able to come here from 11am- 2:30pm as that is when they are serving their lunch menu with other sandwiches, fruit bowls and tomato soup. The Raspberry Sorbet was delightful as well as it definitely hit my sweet tooth when I was eating it. Overall this is an amazing shop that also donates some of their profits to local schools. With my mother in law very recently moving into the Palo Alto Commons, we've been starting to explore the area for fun quick trips to take her and our kiddos. Sweet Shop was exactly what the day called for. A 5 minute drive and my family's sugar cravings were met, along with my caffeine needs! They ordered a variety of fro yo and toppings (getting 3 after a nice rigorous hike), and I was pleasantly surprised with a tasty and strong iced dirty chai. I thought the price was pretty reasonable, considering the Los Altos location, quality of food/drink, and the charming ambience (very cute seating inside, along with a peaceful outdoor area with a beautiful fountain). This is a really cute frozen yogurt and candy store. A great find in Los Altos. I got a small bowl of chocolate frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries. The small was shareable really, if I wanted to share. My husband tried the mango frozen yogurt with brownie bites. Before the virus I heard that you could go into the tiny building to sit and eat your frozen yogurt and check out their candy store. Today with social distancing to remain safe they have outdoor seats and tables. You can ask for their candy selection as well. A little less than impressed after our first visit to the Sweet Shop. At 1pm on a Sunday the pastry selection was very limited so I went with a sandwich that was thin, soggy, and quickly fell apart. For $6 was it worthwhile? Maybe, but I'd have preferred to pay more and get a more substantial lunch. I had a shockingly poor customer service experience. My family and I have been going to this shop since it opened years ago. Today on my daily walk, I had the sudden need to use the lavatory and decided to stop here to meet the urge and purchase a cup of coffee. Getting old really sucks sometimes. I explained to the clerk that I needed to use the lavatory and suddenly the manager/owner broke off her conversation with some friends and said,"No, it was only for employees." I begged that it was an emergency and she just refused citing her COVID rules. When I said that I had just sanitized my hands, she callously turned her back on me and returned to chitchatting with her friends. Also, please note that I was fully masked and following all social distancing requirements. I cannot believe that someone can be so dismissive of someone in need. You can choose to continue to go to this shop, but I will never step foot in there again. So much for the nice neighborhood coffee/candy shop. read more

They brew and serve a fabulous cup of coffee, and have a hearty candy selections. However, they could use an upgrade on ice cream-- they serve two flavors of blah soft serve (real ice cream or gelato addition would definitely be a plus). Another tip I would give to management would be to offer tongs instead of scoops for some of the candy jars. My daughter and I both had a hard time using the scoops to retrieve the long gummy candies out of the jar-- that clearly need a tong. The outdoor patio with fountain/pond combo is why my daughter and I go back, not to mention the candy fix she gets ;-) The patio is just super adorable, and worth the visit. read more

This was a surprising little jewel situated in a Los Altos neighborhood. Who knew it was there other than the locals? We only happened upon it after my daughter used Yelp to find a place that offered Dippin Dots! They also have a variety of yogurt, candies in cute jars, drinks, sandwiches, etc. There are two parking spaces (one regular, one handicapped) in front. Literally a cute little "sweet shop" located in a residential area of Los Altos! Came by to escape the scorching south bay heat for some chocolate froyo with a side of strawberries (~$3.75). It was very good! :) There is indoor and outdoor seating, but I preferred indoor because the A/C was relieving. I saw that they had some Dippin' Dots, which can be rather hard to find nowadays. Delicious frozen yogurt, and they use compostable cups and utensils. Excellent service from the two young workers. The side yard is decorated and wonderful for relaxing with a cold treat.
