Writing this review as an obituary of sorts for this See's location. Heard a few days ago that their last day is today, Sunday, May 11. As such, I hauled @$$ down here a few days back to buy a few candies and a box of See's chocolate "lollypops." This particular location had been right here for a good approx. 30 years. I remember going to it a number of times as a kid. So, hence, I had to make one last stop, if nothing else, for nostalgia's sake. On my visit, unsurprisingly, there was a long line of people who were A) getting gifts for Mother's Day, and B) buying one last item(s) from this store before their permanent closure. Overheard an employee say to another customer that the employees at this store were offered to work at other See's locations, so it's nice to know that they at least weren't laid off instead. So far, the individual chocolates I bought have been, predictably, delicious. Like in my previous review, regardless of location, you can't go wrong with See's confectionery. They're a Bay Area staple. You're gonna like the way they taste. I guarantee it. I'll miss this particular location though. But who knows? Maybe Warren Buffet will intervene and find a way to get them to stay. (Wishful thinking.) 4 stars read more

I visited See's Candies Saturday afternoon. I wanted to go there for their limited time St. Patrick's day Irish cream (bc I LOVE IT so heavenly) 11/10 The associate who packed my half pound box told me it can fit 10-12 pieces. She hooked me up with 2 extra pieces for a total of 14 pieces of Irish cream!!! I LOVE IT!! She packed it extremely well. She was very kind, very helpful, and very warm and friendly with my request for see's candies Irish cream!! She also gave me and my friend each a sample of our choosing (we got more Irish cream LOL) SO GOOD! At the end she gave me and my friend coupons! Wonderful amazing experience! Excellent service! What a great experience!! These days, I think we all have the feeling that Cheyne stores will all be exactly the same. The same customers, the same, Customer Service, the same employees, etc.. This Santa Clara sees candy location really stands out above most of the stores that I've shopped at. The store is a little bit larger than most, and it's in a strip mall of sorts that doesn't look very appealing. Everything was perfectly displayed, there was plenty to choose from, and the store was not only super clean, but had that wonderful light candy fragrance dancing in the air. We were greeted by both of the very gracious women working there, and, as we wandered around, picking items up off the shelf before we made our way to the counter, you could just feel the happiness in the air. They genuinely enjoy what they do. I love it! The only rub for me, and it's so super minor, is that for my local stores, they organize their individual candy pieces differently than this particular store. Normally, all of the truffles are together, etc. The store had everything mixed up, which, in retrospect made it far more interesting to pick and choose different chocolates. They were pretty generous with the samples, and we truly had so much fun handpicking chocolate. Rumor has it that the coffee flavored scotchmallow will be coming back fairly soon. Everything was perfectly wrapped with seasonal paper, imperfectly placed in the shopping bag. We all know it's important to protect the chocolate lol. But zero complaint and they packaged it nicely in a bag for them. +++ Holy hell, this chocolate is good. We've gotten REALLY nice chocolates as gifts, and See's holds its own with much of them. Sure, you're not going to get bergamot thyme truffle but ugh, how many of those orangey-herbey things are you really going to eat (or even like in the first place)? See's Candies actually does have some pretty interesting combinations. And it's clear the chocolate doesn't contain the crap cheaper chocolates have. + Price is decent. $30 for a lb of chocolates typically. + Hits multiple price points. If you want less, you can get individual lollipops (man, I remember THESE from my past!) or individual truffles. If you want more, they have everything from $14 boxes of lollis to the 1 lb'ers at ~$30 to 2 lb'ers and more. + Did I mention how friendly the people are? Oh, and they're dressed in the traditional See's uniform. + When I mentioned I was getting the lollipops and gift certificate for my daughters' birthday, they insisted I take an extra sample of a truffle called "Birthday Cake". Seriously? I don't remember when I've had service recently that cares so much. Make the stop. The time there will make the rest of your day happier. read more

I don't usually leave reviews or even go to See's Candies, but my experience was worth noting. The staff were absolutely flawless. Very nice and respectful! Great selection on single chocolates & boxes! Im not sure if it's policy to be this polite to customers but if not, they deserve some kudos! Keep it up team!!! read more

Me and my husband have been going to this See's Candies for 5 years and yesterday they blew us away. I wish I got the girl's name who helped us. There were 3 women in the store and they all had the best energy and were so warm and welcoming. They were a little busy but quickly helped us. We got a 1 lb box and got a little too excited and were told we had about 1 chocolate left. The girl helping us could see the panic on my face. She generously offered to flip some of the chocolates in the box on their side to fit in a few extras. This box of chocolates is to celebrate passing the bar exam, or to get me through not passing. This meant so much to me and I can't wait to get another box for our next special occasion. read more

On 12/21/23, my husband and I picked up Christmas Gifts of See's Candies for ourselves and as gifts. The store was very busy-front register no line however, the back wall candy selection of choice had a line going to the front door! There were two employees assigned here. We were Blessed to be served by Kanin H, who not only assisted her customers but also assisted her coworkers and was literally running around ensuring all of us had a positive See's Candies experience. I felt like I was a princess because I was the only one shopping in the store close to opening. Sales associate Kamin had wonderful recommendations. She inquired if my husband works for a Sunnyvale company that would be affiliated with See's Candies' discount program, and he does! She reminded me that I was eligible for a free sample. Kamin was an excellent listener, and she did not miss a single detail which I only discovered when I arrived home and opened my shopping bag. I go to the Sunnyvale store a lot (too much actually). The staff has always been polite and helpful. And, of course, the product is addictive. Well I hardly need to come add my 5 stars, but the fact is that See's brings delicious chocolate and great service. Stopped by here the other day to pick up a 1 pound box for a birthday lunch, and I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the young lady helping me as she packed out a beautiful, personalized box, with the different candies in neat rows, and recommended an attractive birthday sleeve. The lunch was fun and whipping out the box of chocolates took it to the next level of enjoyment and camaraderie. I stopped by to pick up a couple of Tipperari's for my mom. Ruby E. was at the counter, ready to help. She told me that the Tipperari's were the sample of the day and had, unfortunately, run out. I went to this See's Candies store several months ago (there's a closer one to where I live). I had such a positive experience that I was determined to return. I went again this week and the sales associate recognized me. She even reminded me that I needed her help with identifying a favorite candy in the Bridge Mix, and she did it successfully. her name is Kamin. I was so impressed with her interest in the customer and knowledge of the candy selection that I will now be a regular at that store. I needed two small gift boxes made while I grew up with See's Candies as a childhood favorite, I had not been inside a See's Candies in a long time. Store associate Ian D. was extremely helpful and patient in helping me select an appropriate size (for me, the half pound box) and a variety of classic favorites as well as other interesting choices. If you've been to a See's, you know what to expect. If not, it's more expensive than grocery store candy, but it's better. It's less expensive than Godiva, and also still better. A tradition at See's is for them to give you a sample candy while you are looking around. So, I hear a nice lady say to me "See anything you like?" while showing me a small tray of samples. I said, "Yes, I will take one of everything." I can remember See's candies from being a tiny kid and I still love them today. They are traditional candies made with the finest materials. Look, I have tried candies from all over the world. There is simply no equal to See's. Oh, this store is nicely located on El Camino in Sunnyvale, CA with easy access. Clean and neat (of course) and full of great candy. I strongly suggest that when you buy a 1 pound box as a gift you remember to buy a 2 pound box for yourself!! Once in a while I crave chocolates. When I do, this is the BEST place to come. The staff are very friendly and always have a warm smile on their faces. I love the See's Bon Bons!!! They are my favorite item at See's Candies. My family and friends indulge in soft center and nuts and chewy mixes. See's is always around whether if I am at home or if I am at a friend's house. I also like the chocolate cigars. They are tasty and great to give as gifts. The prepackaged items displayed on the walls are wonderful. Seeing what is in the boxes helps me select an item I know I will enjoy. Lastly, and always a wonderful treat, the free sample is divine. I just love See's Candies! This location is awesome. You have a great parking lot that wraps around the corner of the building into another larger parking lot. The store is pretty large and spacious. This seems location is beautifully laid-out clean and neat and easy in-and-out access. Each time you take a test sampler it's like biting into a piece of heaven. Cease is truly an amazing memorable gift but it is on the pricey side but I have never had anyone in my lifetime complain about the taste the experience and the enjoyment when they receive the gift and eat the gift. read more

As stated in my earlier review this is a Corporate Store which honors company discounts, which made it my 'go to' store for all my confection procurement delights. The staff here are always helpful and cheerful to me and I was looking for a 16oz bag of milk chocolate drops for my chocolate chip cookies. Apparently they only off them in 4oz bags, so I bought three to add to the one that bought in the Los Altos store. With this store being larger they were on the carousel, but the nice lady behind the counter showed me exactly where they were. Great customer service! read more

I could never give a See's less than a 10, but since the rating system is a 5 max.... that's my 10 equivalent! I have been there 3x this week alone-- don't be worried about me, it's Valentine's week! Which means lots of goodness for everyone! Godiva and Ghiradelli just can't compare, there is something about See's that gives the feeling of something home-made AND to die for! This particular location is my favorite, here's why.... it's not in a mall!! That means no mayhem, and I can go visit them anytime I like without having to deal with mall traffic. And the employees are super nice and helpful! While I AM a See's faithful, I didn't know what a particular candy's name was and I described it to the woman and she knew right away what it was! I have quite a few events coming up over the next few weeks. If you have been following my reviews then you know this is nothing new, it just means I am too busy for my own self!! Fathers day, my sister and old supervisors birthday, my daughter and my graduation party, my nieces baby is due within the next few weeks....all right around the corner! Since they are all within a few weeks from each other I thought why not get everything (or mostly everything for that matter since I have already ordered some cakes and other things) from one place so I don't have to deal with more than a handful of people. Right? I mean if you have orders out everywhere how are you to keep it all organized unless you have a personal assistant! And yes a personal assistant is on my wish list! I of course decided on See's Candies! I must have spent an hour gazing over all the candy before making my decisions For the gradation favors, I picked an assortment to add into a really cute tassels shaped tin that I ordered online. Everything from truffles, to fudge, and I even added in some nuts to give it more flavor and decoration. I'm a huge root beer barrel person so I also included the root beer lollypops too. I wish they had more per box, 15 items isn't enough for that price, but I thought a few boxes wouldn't hurt! For my old boss, I wanted a unique touch to the gift since we are fairly close. I had explained that she was mentor and how I can never thank her enough for what I learned from her. They recommend a personalized box that said "Thank you" on it filled to the rim with peanut brittle, her favorite! For the new baby that we are hoping arrives healthy, I ordered the same as I did for my boss but also added some of the chocolate cigars for the men in the family. Chocolate is safer than real smoke! See - they have the right gift for every occasion! I had a great time meeting all the employees and the specific employee I was dealing with was very friendly. She offered many good ideas on candy assortments and gifts and which would be good for what event. They have plenty to offer, the prices are really fair, warm employees and delicious products.
