Good spot for ice cream! Located on el Camino real, small parking lot right in front, and it's convent location. I used to love baskin robins as a kid, but as I have grown my taste have changed and I prefer less sweet ice cream, but I have stopped by this location while living in Mountain View if I wanted a sweet freer during a hot day. It's not for every day treat, but a solid spot for once in a while. Customer service is decent. They do have cakes as well, which is fun. Overall a good spot read more

My experience today was great because of Sally. I asked a question about cake flavors available. The blonde rudely said she didnt have them memorized. lol Sally stepped up and offered to go through them for me.....and actually found the exact flavor I was looking for. Came here for the buy one get one half off sundae special, ordered the Pistachio Chocolate Bar flavor as the base. I tried calling the one in Menlo park. no answer! This place has 3 cake decorators! You just need to call 24 hrs in advance b/c they have to make the set, let it cool, etc etc. so plan ahead! 48 hrs on the weekend. LOTS of design options. LOTS of cake already ready in house in case you are last minute like me. nice and fast. read more

This is exactly what you'd expect of a BR. Nothing special but also nothing bad. I had a child's scoop of mint chip, and cookie dough. Both were how one would assume. Other than nostalgia this BR satisfies. there are plenty of other small batch or family owned places to try in the Bay Area. My friend enjoyed the Cookie Monster flavor. read more

Popped on by for a weeknight dessert and workers were really friendly in getting us our scoops of ice cream. Jamoca Almond Fudge is elite and such a childhood favorite. Plenty of parking but a bit difficult to get out right on El Camino during heavy traffic times. read more

Take more than 30mins to defrost still too hard to cut, need to wait even longer than 10 mins they advertised. $45 well spend! Service is good and they are so friendly! I stopped at this Baskin-Robbins on my way home. It's a small shop, with a large common parking lot. The clerk/order taker promptly took my order.....2-scoops, chocolate & coffee. She quickly had it ready, then I had to wait to pay. While I waited, I snapped some photos for Yelp. Lots of fancy cones and toppings to choose from. 2-Scoops, price $6.29. Now, I'm not an expert on ice cream, but my coffee ice cream had ice crystals in it. Does that mean the ice cream is old? Or is the freezer faulty, and allows the ice cream to melt? The chocolate ice cream was creamy, sweet and perfect. I sat outside and ate my ice cream, and watched a steady flow of customers go inside the Baskin-Robbins. Ice cream makes me happy. I'm pretty sure they have more than 31 flavors now. There were 31 flavors when I was a kid 31 years ago! It would be nice for them to update their logo to modernize and come up with a catchier slogan now. However, when it comes to the ice cream, what you see is what you get. And all I see is deliciousness in a bowl (or cone)! The # of dopamine receptors in my body that are activated are too numerous to count. Ice cream makes me happy. It takes a lot for an ice cream place to not get 5 stars in my book. The service was great too, but honestly, my eyes were on the ice cream the whole time. read more

I am a big Baskin-Robbins fan, I love my cappuccino blast. Wanted to give a shout out to the lady that served me yesterday, thank you! Unfortunately a lot of people can't follow a simple recipe and make a good blast, but she did best one I've had in a long time. Service was a 10 out of 10 and my blast was a 10 out of 10. I'm a big fan of Baskin Robbins and wanted to like this particular branch in Mountain View because the person who helped me was so kind and patient. HOWEVER, this outlet does not properly freeze its ice cream. All of our cones were immediately melting. When I took my cone back, they graciously attempted to dig deeper into the vat in the hopes the ice cream would be harder. Sadly, there was little difference - the ice cream was melty, drippy, and soft. Is this an intentional policy as a way to save money on electricity? Do they think their customers prefer soft ice cream? Do they have "Soft Serve" envy? Or more likely, are their freezers old and failing (circa 1970's?) and need desperately to be replaced? Until they fix this problem, I will eschew this branch and take my chances at the cornucopia of other BR branches across Northern California. read more

The best place to take kids to go get some ice cream. It is a perfect treat for a hot day and if you do not have ice cream at home. The ice cream is very high quality. Perfect place for kids and kid approved. The toppings are also very high quality and not to bad at all. The shakes are also very high quality and taste very good as well. The price for the ice cream is a really good also and the wait is not to long unless there are a lot of people that want Baskin Robbins. read more

BE AWARE! If you're craving their cappuccino blast or anything that requires a blender do not come here almost towards closing. They say their blender is "out of service" BULL! it's b/c their lazy butts don't wanna make it then wash it right after. Coincidentally several times I came to this location b/c it's near my house and every time I ask for a blast they say "out of service", but you go there the next day right when they open and BOOM! all of a sudden their blender works. SMH read more

The day I went, Tina and Princess Lea were working together. They work great together as a team and individually. They can handle the rushes. I view them as the OG's. They greet every customer with warmth and they are kind and professional. They know how to make each customer feel special, and take their time with every person but also get all the orders out quickly and with accuracy. After Coldstone proved to be complete liars about their hours, my fiance and I went to Baskin Robbins for some icy creams. Going to Baskin Robbins, you know what to expect. Approximately 31 flavors. Prices that are always a little surprisingly high. Milkshakes. Promos for their newest invention (in this case, ice cream cake bites and also their soft serve). But this time, I tried a new flavor. Slow-churned chocolate covered banana. In one of those chocolate-and-peanut-dipped waffle bowls. Which I smashed up and approximated the Coldstone concept of a mix-in. What can I say, if I can't adapt to my environment, I adapt my environment to me. Oooooh my goodness. It was delicious. So so fudgy, and creamy, and wonderful. Dare I say, I loved it? One thing that wasn't so lovable, they were cleaning up (about a half hour before closing), and were spraying ammonia around the restaurant. Nothing like the smell of ammonia while you're eating ice cream. Blegh. read more

Shout out to Lea! I visited the store to pickup the ice cream cakes that I had ordered online. They were ready on time, but the real star was Lea. I had my toddler with me and she was so friendly to him and me. She gave him a paper dinosaur hat and offered to take a picture of us. She added in the birthday names on the cake (they were missing). She even helped me carry the cakes out to my car. I left feeling happy that I had interacted with her. read more

So when it was time for my wedding, I knew I had to get my cake from them! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They offer cake tasting boxes that include their most popular flavors. However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. I also had a very specific vision for my wedding cake - I wanted a detailed three-tier cake with buttercream vintage flowers. We also ordered a plain sheet cake with the same flavors to ensure that we had enough slices for our guests. I worked with Fariba during the ordering process and they were great. I am truly still SHOCKED at how beautiful the cake was and how it matched the inspo photo perfectly. It was a showstopper and extremely delicious. See the photo for details! It was covered in chocolate and filled with custard, and it was just the right sweetness and not too sweet. The size was pleasing, and the custard filling was good. The cake was not enjoyable; to be fair, this might or might not be due to personal taste. It was a 3-layer vanilla cake filled with lemon mousse, covered in buttercream and white chocolate bark pieces, and topped with 10 blueberries. This flavor can be found on their website catalog. I don't know if this is typical for this bakery, but the cake was heavy, claggy on the bottom, and way too sweet. The lemon mousse tasted incredibly strange, as if it were artificial or maybe had some kind of herb or weird flavoring added. The less said about the cream, the better. The white chocolate was quite good though. I saw they had a wide variety of cake offerings, but I don't think I'd want cake from here again. I might get the choux pastry again.

I overheard regulars saying it was unusually quiet and not the norm? Regardless it was peaceful! Shades triangles above the picnic table, the side under the tree was occupied but I was happy where I was. I'm going to have to return with my wife at some point and even when I'm in the area I'll make it a point to stop over.
