I ordered my son's birthday cake from here and ended up getting a different variation which was slightly upsetting. I called the store and one of the people I spoke to said I had to come in and that I could get a portion of my refund. I understood the partial refund but was grumpy I had to go in to receive it. The manager/owner called me shortly after and left a vm to tell me he would refund my order in its entirety and was very apologetic. I meant to call him back to confirm and coordinate and refund but I got busy and didn't have time. He ended up refunding me even though I didn't contact him back. Got 2 tubs of rocky road, 1 tub of mint and 1 tub of pralines. I already started with the rocky road and it was as good as I remember. Dirty - that pretty much sums up my experience here. I work near this particular Baskin Robbins and decided to come in one evening instead of the El Camino Baskin Robbins I usually go to. The first thing I always look at in an ice cream store are the freezers where the employees scoop ice cream out of. For some reason, this store's freezers had a bunch of dirty ice on it - it looked like the side of the road going up to Tahoe. Worse yet, I could see the flakes of dirty ice falling into the tubs when their sleeves brushed by it... *yuck*! I would have lost my appetite if it weren't for my insatiable love of ice cream. The service wasn't bad, or else I would have given 1 star for certain. If the health inspector doesn't have rules against dirty ice falling into ice cream tubs, they should before someone gets sick from it. By the way, I also came by one other time at around 8:30, and the location was closed for no particular reason. Thank goodness I found another one nearby just south of 85 on El Camino that was still open. read more

An American institution, a classic, 31 flavors! My GF and I have made a habit of popping in here for the past several years. We love trying out the seasonal flavors, though there's nothing a pint of Jamocha Almond Fudge can't fix. While it is true that's it's been years since this location has had a facelift it is generally clean. It can get messy on Family Night when scoops are discounted to kids and the place is packed. We usually get prepacked and get out quick on those occasions. Parking can be tough in the lot since it's a tiny strip mall but there's always tons of parking on the corner by the surplus store and bar. I have ice cream fanatic friends that can go on and on about the richness and creaminess of this brand ,or the mixture of ingredients ot that brand, etc,etc. I actually eat my ice cream. No slurping it from a cone, I mean biting it and chewing it . I don't like tons of things in it (I do go to Cold Stone but the only mix in I get are almonds) and I like it in a cup with a spoon. Kinda boring eh? Baskin Robbins ain't no Haagen Daz, Ben and Jerry's or Cold Stone but they do make a mean Pistachio Almond. I don't get any other flavors here. Ok there was this one year where in college my roomate and I hit the Cappucino Freezes hardcore, and he would have these bitter rages after coming off the caffeine, but that's another story. Yes it's all about the Pistachio Almond. A unique flavor, nicely dense texture, with the occasional crunch from the almonds. It's funny how out of all these different brands and fancy restaurant ice creams I've tried, if I had to pick one this would be it (unless Colleen's Creamery in Davis were to wake up from the ashes). Is Baskin Robbins the lowest common denominator on the ice cream chain? Maybe, but sometimes it's good to be simple and straightforward and if B.R. got rid of everything else in the joint except the pistachio almond it would get 5 stars :) read more

They say that you can't judge a book by it's cover, but what if the cover is stained and dirty? This Baskin Robbins had to probably be the filthiest location of the ice cream chain I've been to. The back counter where the sundaes are prepped looked grimy. The tables and floor of this place are sticky like​ it's rarely clean. The TV is blaring. One of the employees is rocking some stains and despite saying hello (good) you can tell it's at best a disingenuous one (bad). I know the job doesn't pay well, I really absolutely sympathize with the employees - all this kind of stuff falls on the owner (about cleanliness mainly). I mean beyond that, the product is a fine homogenous scoop. It it weren't for my wife liking ice cream and me refusing to travel great distances - I would not come here. The sundaes are wildly inconsistent. Used to have two Baskin Robbins in the north Peninsula where I used to live which were amazing. When you drop $7 on a Reese's sundae and you barely get any Reece's pieces and barely any toppings what's the point? I can buy a whole box of Reece's and scoop my own. And it's getting to that point because the sad employees and the grime has a way of making 31 flavors taste like 1 flavor - salty. read more

I've been here several times, and I am always happy with the ice cream, excellent quality product that has been around since I was a kid!! It is actually decently priced, and of course they always have wonderful delicious flavors! Tonight we decided to stop by for an after dinner scoop of yum. I got a chocolate dipped sugar cone with a scoop of German Chocolate Cake ice cream. It was insane....sooooo creamy, so sweet and delightful. Perfect end to a great meal. read more

NEVER get a birthday cake here! Absolutely, the worst experience ever. We've bought many a Baskin Robbins birthday cake over the years (our 9 year old son's favorite), and have never had any problems before. I'm 100% positive it's this location. I had to come back twice just to order. I worked with the same girl each time. The first time I came she said that there was no way she could make a tuxedo cake out of the chocolate fudge (his theme was James Bond). No problem. I returned since she said a picture would be better. I came back with a printed picture and then she said that they could superimpose it onto his cake. She said I was required to pay the price of the cake up-front. I typically don't pay up-front because I like to see the cake upon pick-up. She said you'd had a few no-shows and your policy had changed. I said that's fine, and paid. Then, I arrived 30 minute before the party to pick up the cake and take it to our venue. His face on one photo was all distorted because of the printer. I asked her why she didn't just cut off that portion (there were five photos of him lined up) and she said that she hadn't thought of that and well...that was the photo I wanted. I asked her why she hadn't called me. She said sorry, but nothing she could do. I then proceeded to ask her for a discount. And she said that I could have the price of the transfer back. $10. We paid over $80 dollars for a custom cake to go with the theme of our son's party. The cake was the centerpiece, something our son was super excited about, and it looked awful. I told her that wasn't very satisfactory and she said very loudly, "Ma'am, don't make this into a big deal! Here I am trying to be nice and give you a discount and you're turning this into a huge thing!" I hadn't even raised my voice, and I got shamed out of an ice cream store...seriously? Then, I call to complain and leave a message. Never hear back from the manager. I even sent him an e-mail with photos...again no reply. Turns out the manager is actually on the Mt. View EPC and Neighborhood Association, an entity that works towards "Encouraging community responsibility, identity and pride." I want a recount! Absolutely worst service ever. Bad customer service! I cannot believe how GWEN acted towards customers! We were simply explaining what we wanted and for some reason she is not getting what were trying to tell her and looked back at us lookibg so annoyed. She accused us of raising our voice. All we're trying to do is explain what our kids want behind the thick glass. I can't believe she actually think we're screaming at her!!?? What a very bad experience at this BR branch. We have never encountered someone like her. She acted like a mad lady especially in front of kids and other customers. How she acted was so unprofessional! BTW, I asked for a manager so I can address my concern and she said "Well I am the manager!" wow! I feel sorry BR's company! a good manager should have a good work ethics and good customer service and she is the opposite! This BR has literally been around forever. My friend was craving Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream the other day but didn't want any of the more gourmet options in the area -- e.g. Scoops, Smitten, Tin Pot, etc. , so we decided to go old fashioned and get ourselves some BR. The place is in a tiny strip mall on El Camino (which most things are in the area I guess). It's pretty small, but there're a few tables to sit at, or you can sit outside and enjoy the cool Californian summers. Did you know Baskin Robbins does $1 scoop Tuesdays? I didn't! The SO had a craving for a hot fudge sundae (I know, he's so vanilla =P), so we came here last night and I saw the poster. Yummy! I wasn't planning on getting anything, but cheap ice cream will entice me. I tried the raspberry cheese louise, which was pretty good (chunks of cheesecake). I am also a fan of Jamoca Almond Fudge. This is another Baskin Robbins, so don't be expecting any over-the-top services. You just go in, choose your flavor and size, and get out. Simple as that. What I got was a kid-sized scoop of the flavor Baseball Nut. The kid sized scoop was enough for me. I'm the type of person that enjoys small portions of ice cream, but I like it more sweet, heavier and creamier rather than a lot of the airy, light stuff you can buy at the supermarket. The Baseball Nut flavor was pretty good. It was just basically vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirls, and cashews. At this location, "family night" is every Tuesday from 6 pm to closing. This is just means that you can get a kid sized scoop for $1.29 during those hours. The regular price is $2.49 so that's almost half off! Regular sized scoops are $2.29 (I don't know the regular price). The customer service is good. But like I said, don't expect any spectacular customer service since this is just another BR chain. read more

Love the $1 scoops on Tuesday nights. It's $1 for the kids size scoops, but that just makes it easier to get two different flavors. It's a Baskin Robbins, so it's about the same as everywhere else. But you know what you're getting, so there are no surprises. This particular location has always been friendly when I go there. The inside is a little small, but there are a few tables outside, too. Seems as though we have a price gouger here. I ordered a banana sundae. When it was put in front of me I noticed that the cherry barly came to the top of the container. I asked where the ice cream was and said that it should look somewhat like the picture. Ice cream should be to the top of the container and the whipped cream and cherry at least 1 inch above the container. I paid $6.54. $3.00 would have been fair. I was told that they use CHILD SIZE SCOOPS. I told the guy that I was an adult and wanted adult scoops. He was willing to give me more ice cream, but would have to charge me more. I will not be giving my hard earned money to Baskin Robbins anymore. I can see them filing for bankruptsy if they don't stop being gready. read more

When I come to this location, I come to get ice cream, not for their exceptional customer service. Baskin Robbins ice cream offers a large selection of ice cream and it's delicious. I find that the consistency of the ice cream and just right. The right blend of creamy and yumm! Our favorites are: mint chip, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and chocolate chip. The coworkers we've experienced are not very knowledgeable about the ice cream. They don't always greet you and you get the feeling of, "okay, hurry, I want to go home and be out of here." They offer some seating at this location. I do not suggest to sit inside because it does get cramped when people are ordering because there isn't much breathing room between where you order and sit. Outside however, there are a few benches you can sit at and a few tables/chair combinations with umbrellas which is nice on a warm summer day. My one bad experience. I came with 2 of my girlfriends on a weekday about 4pm and we were having a great time enjoy one another's company and delicious ice cream. Well, when we would laugh, the manager behind the counter would tell us to "HUSH!" We ignored it because we thought we were imagining things and then he shouted at us and told us we were being too laud. We were upset and we left. That one bad experience didn't shy me away from going back. I love me some Baskin Robbins regardless of the bad service I've first hand experienced. read more

Typical BR you'll find anywhere. But smaller location so not much room to move around. They do not have a drinking fountain or water cooler / dispenser I've seen in other BR. When one of my girls wanted water I asked for a cup of water and they said I could buy a bottle for $1.50 or buy a cup of water for $0.50! Super annoying and you feel robbed having to pay for water. They wouldn't take credit card due to $5 minimum charge even though I had already bought three ice cream cones. Had to break a $20 and now I have wallet full of small bills. I love the lady that works here!!! She's hella cute, friendly and knowledgeable about all the ice cream flavors and their textures. If you're undecided about a flavor, she's patient and will offer you many taste tests. The world totally needs more people like her! The shop itself is very clean and cozy. Friendly staff. Place seemed a little dirty when we were there but how many Ice Cream places can you go and also watch the World Series. MAJOR BONUS. I remember every year, since I was in 4th grade, I'd receive a Baskin Robbins mint chocolate chip icecream birthday cake, because my parents knew it was my favorite. It still is, their mint chocolate chip cannot be compared to anywhere else. I love it. If I could, I'd buy the whole round bin, but there's not enough room in the fridge. True, this location is a bit small, and awfully warm [are all icecream places like this?] but I really just go there for the MCC icecream. It used to be cheaper though, so I docked them a star for that. Like, c'mon, I want a bigger single scoop if I'm paying nearly 2 bucks for it :/ It's also conveniently located next to Blockbusters. I don't enjoy giving bad reviews, but when it comes to cleanliness and health and safety yeah I have to speak up!! I asked for my ice cream, and the girl behind the counter wiped her nose on the back of her hand. Then she went to get my ice cream. I quietly asked her if she could wash her hands, since she had just wiped her nose. She begrudgingly did it. Then, she quietly asked me what toppings I wanted, not even looking at me, so I didn't know she was talking to me. She asked again, just as quietly. I guess it was a game. So I answered, and she went to get the topping and wiped her hand on her nose again, right in front of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On my way into the store, I saw a grimy door with a bunch of boxes next to it, and realized that the last time I came here that same exact door looked dirty and gross as well. I guess that's how they keep it! And that's why they don't tell their employees not to wipe their noses on their hands right in front of the customers, and they don't wear gloves. I am not sure if it's store policy to scoop less, or if we just got unlucky with the employees working Wednesday evening. There were two young women working and they seemed bothered just to explain the restrictions around the buy one get one deal.
