Business hours but scheduled warm donuts!?!

This Donut Basket is located in a very small strip mall. Parking is ok. Classic donuts, cronuts, coffee drinks & other drinks, and croissant sandwiches. The service was nice and friendly. She even threw in a few donut holes in my box. I tried the glazed donut, and it was on the smaller side. It was ok.

Behold, the plain cake donut! Which is looking very similar to my cat's butt hole but still very tasty!

As the reigning Donut Queen of the South Bay, I heartily endorse this donut shop. Which is why I'm there every week ... Did you know your taste buds change as you get older? Maybe that's not an actual scientific fact but it sure seems to be the case for me. Overly sweet pastries? Not for me any more. I don't want food that makes my teeth ache. Enter the Donut Basket. Not only are their donuts super fresh they're not covered in grease and sugar. My personal fave: the cinnamon roll. These things are enormous. They're light though so if you were a Donut Queen like me, you could probably eat an entire one. Over 3 hours. Runners up: the jelly and, believe it or not, the plain cake. You know it's a damn fine donut store when the plain cake rocks. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Spendy, a bit spendy. $1.75 for a plain cake donut? Spendy. But hey, everything costs more now so it's not really the Donut Basket's fault they've had to raise their prices. I still love them.

Bacon, hash brown, egg and cheese on a jalapeno bagel with a vietnamese coffee

I've been here 30+ times in the past couple of years, since I live close by. I like to eat the food at Heritage Park (has benches, a table, trash cans) just across the street. Service is always pretty good. Prices are between Starbucks and a diner for the same amount of food. I usually get either a hash brown, egg and cheese or a bacon, hash brown, egg and cheese on a jalapeno bagel. The bagels are freshly made while the rest seems to be reheated. It's a simple, satisfying combination. I also get a vietnamese coffee or the blended latte.

Cleanliness was lacking this morning. The shop had flies swarming upon entry. Customer service was top notch and the cashier was very friendly but this place needs a visit from the health department. Dirty shelves and trays in the donut case. Nothing looked fresh. I ordered the jalapeño, cheese, ham croissant but upon inspection the dough didn't rise. Undercooked and goopy on the inside. I had it heated up by the really nice cashier. It was cold by the time I had it in my car. It was poorly made and had hard cheese on top. I found a human hair inside my croissant :( Won't be back.

Meh, didn't enjoy the donuts that much. It's not cheap either. I'd rather get Krispy Kreme next block

Thanks to KQED Late Night Eats, arguably the best food blog ever, I learned about SH Hawaiian Barbeque and Donuts and decided to stop by here when I was finishing late from work and on my way back home. I love Hawaiian food and got a few different items so I could sample a variety. It's important to mention that you are not getting the best Hawaiian food of your life when coming here. However, for a place that is open late, the food is pretty decent. I also got a couple of donuts and they tasted as good as the ones you would get from Krispy Kreme or any generic donut shop. Although I didn't order any, they also have have some Chinese options, which, again, look similar to what you would get at Panda Express. As someone who often finishes late from work, I enjoy having options for places to eat that don't just serve fast food. Again, you aren't getting five star dining here but if you want some decent Hawaiian food or donuts to satisfy your late night craving then this place is a great option.

They also serve you the "healthy bbq chicken" on a large lettuce bed, with a few prices of cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. I thought it would be vegetables. They do give you brown rice. It didn't seem healthy The chicken katsu is flavorful, not as salty as the regular bbq chicken. I think it's the sauce that made the bbq chicken super salty Their Mac and cheese salad was good. And their spam masubi is good as well. Overall i felt it was just okay Can't comment or service or the interior given this was a to go order.

They had a few tables and chairs inside and outside should you choose to stay to enjoy your drinks and mochi donuts. The pink wall and decor makes it a very Instagram-friendly backdrop. Ordering was easy enough: there are 2 kiosks at the front as soon as you walk into the shop. There's no need to actually talk to any of the staff. They weren't particularly friendly, but they also weren't rude. They were just there, minding their business, which was a welcomed change because I had already been feeling overstimulated after visiting with a lot of people. I ordered the Strawberry Green Tea with no toppings. The sweetness level couldn't be adjusted. So it was a tad bit too sweet for my liking, but it was still okay. I did end up diluting it a little bit with water when there was enough room in the cup. I wanted to try a mochi donut, but decided against it because they didn't have flavors that I wanted to try. Overall, decent experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

We always ask for a table with chairs because I have back problems and can't sit in their totally worn booths and the host has never had a problem with that request. But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was. And both of our plates of food came out hot and perfectly cooked which doesn't always happen at the Creamery. I guess we just eat there for the memories. My husband said none of the staff at the Creamery seem happy except for the host so if we don't see him seating the guests, we'll just go to Joanie's.
