Egg, cheese, and avocado breakfast sandwich

This place looks unassuming but their breakfast sandwiches and donuts are top notch! I love the egg, cheese, & avocado sandwich on a croissant-- it's a little pricey at $10 but seriously is one of the best I've had. Service is just alright but they are fairly fast to get orders out, even when busy. I appreciate the seating outside, too, as it's nice they have heaters when it's chilly. I'd highly recommend for a quick breakfast in the South Bay!

This place is pretty grub. They have ask kings of donuts, pastries, sandos, etc. Kind of a weird ordering system that confused the heck out of me. There were two lines, one kind, one short. I guess stand in the long one to the right if you want a sando but the shirt in the left if only coffee and donuts. Bit out was good! And they have some outdoor seating with umbrellas that's nice.

Great donuts and solid breakfast sandwich. We shared a pink sprinkle donut and a sausage, egg, cheese, and avocado breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The donut had the perfect texture and excellent flavor to the dough. Breakfast sandwich tasted like your typical donut shop sammy, but appreciate their generosity with the avocado. Bagel itself just ok. Donuts well priced, breakfast sandwich a little pricey. I'd definitely return and try more offerings.

Was really excited to try this place because I'm always looking for new breakfast spots to try and ran into Roger's Deli. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and the place was clean and very organized. To the right you can order any sandwiches and to the left you can order donuts. I ordered a Sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant. Croissant was fresh and a little crispy, but my eggs were really cold. It tasted like a frozen food you'd heat up in a microwave when it's not fully cooked and inside the middle would be really cold. Thats how my eggs were. I thought they cooked the eggs, but doesn't seem that way then. Experience was amazing, but my sandwich was very disappointing.

I used to live just down the street from this spot when I was 2 years old, back when the shop was painted pink. Believe it or not, I actually took my very first steps here. I need to find the photo. Recently, I happened to be driving by and decided to stop in for old times' sake. The place has changed a bit, it feels more open and spacious now. They've got fully stocked fridges with a great selection of drinks and a full menu of breakfast options. I'm especially a fan of their breakfast sandwiches. And the donuts? Absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I love the cozy outdoor seating area, especially with the fire pit, it's the perfect touch.

Enjoyed some yummy donuts from Roger's. Had a regular chocolate donut and delicious apple fritter. They have a cute outdoor space with string lights very pet and family friendly. The staff were so kind and very attentive!

I just had the croissant, it was delicious and soft. Everything else in the display case looked really temptiing too. The place is pretty crowded and popular which is a good sign. The staff were friendly and patient while asking questions. There is ambiance is nice, there is seating area outside or you can grab and go or online order

Wow! This place definitely gets a lot of business. But I will say they've got a good system and a lot of workers. Just make sure you are ready to order when you get to the Counter. When you figure out the system, everything will work out beautifully. It's more of a production line type of establishment so I wouldn't expect service with a smile, but you won't be disappointed with your food.

Rogers is so good, I've been getting their ultimate combo breakfast sandwich for about 10years now and have put so many people on! If you're new to the area stop by Roger's for a delicious and filling sandwich. SIDE NOTE: if you're hung over this is a great place to gather yourself. There's a 7-11 next to it too if you need a little extra pick me up. :)

Been coming here since 2013 and I've never had a bad experience eating here. Good service, nice seating with fire, and the food is always delicious. Icdd white chocolate latte is also really good.

10/27/2024 Roger's Deli & Donuts 295 E Middlefield Rd Mountain View, CA 94043 I went there for a mid-afternoon takeout on a Sunday. It's on the corner of Middlefield and Whisman, with the best entry from Whisman Rd. There is parking around the building and more in the adjacent shopping plaza area. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and apple fritter at the main order counter, paid (less than a Jackson) and given a numbered receipt and waited for my number to be called. Service was helpful and was asked if I wanted the pineapple included, which I did. There is not a lot of inside seating and all the chairs were upside down on the tables, so not available when I was there. There is seating outside the place with some gas heaters around the tables. My order was ready shortly and I took it home for the unveiling. The Reuben had a good quantity of corned beef on kraut and melted Swiss cheese on light Rye. The sandwich was moist but not messy and with minimal pineapple taste. It was very good. The apple fritter was not overly sweet with some apple bits, again very good. This appears to be mainly a take and go place and since they open at 5 AM, would be a good place for an early AM breakfast. It's an okay value and I'd repeat.

    Incorrect order

Was given incorrect order upon pickup. Ordered the bbq beef sandwich and it was labeled as such. When I got to work and opened it there was no beef but was a chicken sandwich?

They offer multiple bread choices, a variety of cheeses, and different spreads so you can build exactly what you're craving. It feels elevated compared to a typical deli. The chip selection is a standout -- more than 10 flavors of Kettle Brand chips, plus guac and salsa chips. If you like options, you'll appreciate the variety. And the drink selection? Packed. Soft drinks, a wide range of local beers, and more choices than most convenience stores. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.

Hence why I stopped here one warm late afternoon despite having lots of food options in this downtown-y area. The Godfather ($15ish/5*) When I first try a deli I will usually try their Italian combo. It's a classic sub I love but honestly I find it hard to find an above average one. I'm not sure if the art of making one has been lost, but within the last decade or so, I strike out more than I get hits. Usually the meat to bread to produce ratio is off. Sometimes the meats are too salty/poor quality. Other times the sauce/dressing flavor is off. I am so stoked that I found a legit one here. They use prosciutto, mortadella and salami here, all my faves. I hate when a place uses American ham/cheese on an Italian sub. And all the meats are of quality, not too salty at all. Provolone was the cheese, textbook. I chose a sourdough roll and even though requires a good amount of teeth strength to bite off a piece and to chew, it was pretty damn satisfying. The interior is soft yet chewy. They definitely use a solid bread company. The bites were what I consider to be classic Italian sub flavors. No curve balls like pesto, red peppers or strong mustard. Just quality meats with great textures, fresh produce dressed in oil n' vinegar so it taste like a good salad. And the kicker that pleasantly surprised me were chunks of marinated artichoke hearts so this made you feel like biting into an antipasto platter just in sandwich form. So Damn Solid. Italian Sausage Sandwich ($15ish/4*). Even though solid I didn't love this as much as the cold sub. They ask what type of sausage mild or hot Italian. Chose hot, no surprise. They said this will take longer to make, like about 10 minutes. I chose a regular sweet French roll for this. Not as chewy as the sourdough roll, much softer but still has body. I liked the flavors of warm marinara with their unique sausage, quite classic once again. But the sausage they use is super thick like twice as thick as a common Italian sausage link. They do split it so it covers the bread but that sausage is one of the firmest textures I've ever had for a sausage. Sausage by nature because of the grind usually bites easily. Not here, I had to bite so hard that the meat couldn't stay in the bread. I think the casing was unusually tough for some reason. I eventually peeled it off. Decent flavors but problematic to eat cleanly. $35+ (after T&T) for 2 sandwiches seems pricey but really it is the new reality. 10 years ago this would have been about $20ish. Welcome to the new world order. Lol

I ordered the Godfather, which is supposed to be their specialty, and it was very disappointing. The meats seemed old, extremely fatty, and so chewy that I was unable to swallow them. Every meat on the sandwich was fatty, including the mortadella, which was unusually greasy and unlike anything I've seen before. The texture made the sandwich very unpleasant to eat. It also made me question whether the meats had been stored properly, though I can't say for sure. The bread was average and didn't seem very fresh either. Maybe going later in the day means the ingredients have been sitting too long, but either way, this sandwich was difficult to enjoy and ended up in the trash.

It usually takes me two and a half hours but hey I get to see my friends and drop in on Dittmer's. I usually buy the smoked ham hocks because I am addicted to a Cuban black bean soup. I have tried smoked ham hocks from other sources, but the results were so bad that I threw out the soup. The only place I have found that has true smoked ham hocks is Dittmer's. I noticed the price of ham hocks has gone up. But many of the other prices have held steady. The store remains neatly organized and is spic and span. Totally worth a 2.5 hour drive. 2 pounds of black beans Quarter cup olive oil 3 cups, diced onions Eight cloves of garlic, bruised and peeled. One smoked ham hock 6 quarts water 2 tablespoons +1 teaspoons ground cumin 1 tablespoon dried oregano Three bay leaves. 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper Pinch of cayenne 6 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley 6 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves. 1 teaspoon salt Two medium red bell peppers, diced reserve a quarter of a cup for the garnish Quarter cup dry sherry 1 tablespoon pack of brown sugar 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice. One cup of crème fraîche or sour cream. Soak the beans overnight, drain and rinse. Heat the oil over low heat and sweat the onions and garlic, about 10 minutes. Add the beans with the ham and the water to a large pot. Stir in the 2 tablespoons cumin, the oregano, bay leaves, black pepper, cayenne, and 2 tablespoons each of the parsley in cilantro. Bring to a boil, then simmer, uncovered until the beans are very tender and the liquid is reduced by about 3/4. This will take about one and a half to two hours. Stir in the remaining 4 tablespoons parsley, 2 tablespoons cilantro, salt, and all except 1/4 of a cup of the bell peppers, the remaining 1 tablespoon cumin, the sherry, brown sugar and, lime juice. Simmer another 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Adjust the seasoning and serve hot. Garnish with a dollop of crème fraîche and a sprinkling of the diced peppers and chopped cilantro.
