I have yet to have a bad experience, here at Roger's. A visit to our favorite deli and donut shop was long overdue when we pulled up to the old location, Roger's 2.0 was actually open next door! It turns out they moved just to the other side of the parking lot a couple months ago. The way they operate is still the same, ordering sandwiches from one side and then the donuts from the other counter. Our go-to order is their Hot Pastrami on an Asiago Roll (it comes with bacon too, but we decided to opt-out). It's a hefty sandwich for what you pay for, it will leave you feeling full or packing it to-go for some goodness later! With a big change for them, we were worried the quality would have the chance of going downhill, but I'm happy to report that they're just as good as we remembered. :) Congratulations to them on their upgrade of a storefront! read more

Great local place! I've been coming here for years now for their sandwiches. It's located in a nice area and when the weather is nice, it's great to sit outside. Their sandwiches are well made. They also serve breakfast plates along with their donuts. They just recently moved across the parking lot to a new building. The interior looks nice but the seating outside looks limited. Came here with my battle buddies after a stressful AFT to grab some breakfast, and it was exactly what we needed. I ordered the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant with eggs and cheddar, just perfect One of my buddies got Roger's Omelette and said it was deliciously made lol and the rest of the group really enjoyed their sandwiches too. The service model here is great. They take your order, give you a ticket number, and then you ring it up with the cashier. It keeps the line moving much faster than usual. As soldiers, we really appreciate a place that moves fast so we can get our morning break in and get back to duty on time. Roger's Deli has really amazing sandwiches, but their donuts are honestly just ok. They recently opened a new location right next to their original location, and the new location messed up my order once. They didn't put any bacon or avocado in my turkey bacon avocado sandwich, but I've been coming here consistently for a few years and this is the only time that's happened, so I just chalk it up to the staff at the new location being new! The sandwiches here are super good, including their breakfast sandwiches. The dutch crunch bread is really good. So is their sesame bread! Try the sprouts in the sandwiches as well. read more

The ordering system is a little confusing if you want a sandwich you have to go to the right and find the station A people, order your order they give you a receipt and then you take it to the cashier to pay and then you wait. I enjoyed my jalapeño cheese bagel sandwich with sausage egg and cheese! Lots of tapatio and ketchup bottles. Was really excited to try this place because I'm always looking for new breakfast spots to try and ran into Roger's Deli. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and the place was clean and very organized. To the right you can order any sandwiches and to the left you can order donuts. I ordered a Sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant. Croissant was fresh and a little crispy, but my eggs were really cold. It tasted like a frozen food you'd heat up in a microwave when it's not fully cooked and inside the middle would be really cold. Thats how my eggs were. I thought they cooked the eggs, but doesn't seem that way then. Experience was amazing, but my sandwich was very disappointing. read more

This place is pretty grub. They have ask kings of donuts, pastries, sandos, etc. Kind of a weird ordering system that confused the heck out of me. There were two lines, one kind, one short. I guess stand in the long one to the right if you want a sando but the shirt in the left if only coffee and donuts. Bit out was good! This is a great place for donuts, lots of variety n well stocked. This time we actually ordered breakfast of French toast, came with fruit salad n bacon, nice sized portions. The only problem was that our order took longer than expected, waited maybe about 10/15 mins. It seemed the customers that came after me got their orders n left before me. Personnel were friendly. A lot of options here for sandwiches whether it's breakfast or lunch. Great selection of bread including Dutch crunch which I liked for my chicken salad. It looked huge and thought the bread would cut the roof of my mouth a lil but didn't, it was perfectly crunchy and soft. Sandwiches come with lettuce, pickles, mayo and tomato - I really liked their pickles! Good variety of chips too then they also have potato salad and mac salad in the fridge. I tried their mad salad but it had a lot of big chunks of white onion. Next time I'll try their donuts but I've had a croissant previously and they was really good. Would be great to make a sandwich with that next time. Plenty of seating outdoor so you can eat there and hang out. Wow! This place definitely gets a lot of business. But I will say they've got a good system and a lot of workers. Just make sure you are ready to order when you get to the Counter. When you figure out the system, everything will work out beautifully. It's more of a production line type of establishment so I wouldn't expect service with a smile, but you won't be disappointed with your food. read more

10/27/2024 Roger's Deli & Donuts 295 E Middlefield Rd Mountain View, CA 94043 I went there for a mid-afternoon takeout on a Sunday. It's on the corner of Middlefield and Whisman, with the best entry from Whisman Rd. There is parking around the building and more in the adjacent shopping plaza area. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and apple fritter at the main order counter, paid (less than a Jackson) and given a numbered receipt and waited for my number to be called. Service was helpful and was asked if I wanted the pineapple included, which I did. There is not a lot of inside seating and all the chairs were upside down on the tables, so not available when I was there. There is seating outside the place with some gas heaters around the tables. My order was ready shortly and I took it home for the unveiling. The Reuben had a good quantity of corned beef on kraut and melted Swiss cheese on light Rye. The sandwich was moist but not messy and with minimal pineapple taste. It was very good. The apple fritter was not overly sweet with some apple bits, again very good. This appears to be mainly a take and go place and since they open at 5 AM, would be a good place for an early AM breakfast. It's an okay value and I'd repeat. read more

I ordered a Works Lox bagel, which is supposed to come with double lox, capers, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, onions, sprouts, and I added avocado for $2.50. THE LOX AND CAPERS WERE MISSING! No frills shop located in Mountain View. Always a lot of people whenever we go, but never found myself waiting long for my order. It looks a little confusing when you first enter. Our first time here, we were a little confused (albeit a little tired in the morning too). Basically the right side is where you order your sandwiches or food, and left side is where you order drinks and donuts. You pay for sandwiches on the right, and drinks and donuts on the left. If you're getting both, it's recommended to purchase at the deli first then move to the donut side. I usually get a breakfast sandwich with pepper jack, along with a green Thai tea. They cut it in half for you so it's easier to eat, and they always make it super good! It's a huge sandwich, so I tend to give half to my boyfriend so he eats 1.5 sandwiches. I've also tried their donuts which are yummy--you can't really go wrong with a donut. The Thai iced coffee is also really great. read more

The chaos of Roger's Deli & Donuts on a Sunday really reminded me of the east coast. Around 10AM they were super busy, but very efficient at getting through patrons quickly. Their system was a little confusing, where you order your bagel right away and receive a ticket, but only order your drinks and pastries when you pay at a different counter. I ordered an Everything Bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers, and then also got a Thai Iced Coffee and an Old Fashioned Maple Donut. Everything was ready quickly, but I had a hard time hearing the order numbers being called out, since their intercom was very quiet. They did have some seating inside, but the outside had a much more pleasant ambiance, so we snagged a table there. My Thai Iced Coffee was phenomenal - strong, delicious! I highly recommend ordering one of these. The bagel wasn't bad, but was't anything special either. The thick layer of cream cheese was definitely too much compared to the amount of lox. I did love the Old Fashioned Maple Donut though! The texture and the maple frosting were both perfect. Overall, a good experience - would happily return to try more! read more

Seems like they added a bunch od other items to hide the fact that there's no bacon. That's the main thing about a club sandwich. Seems to be a permanent issue bc this happens often. It's nice to have a donut/sandwich shop nearby in your own neighborhood and this place is no exception. I've been frequenting Roger's for years now and have seen this business thrive. There are many folks from the neighborhood coming in on the weekends and workers mostly on weekdays. Their donuts are delicious and their croissants are not your regular type croissants but more of a doughy-donut texture but still good. What I really love is their sandwiches and my favorite is the hot pastrami. It can get chaotic though at times especially on the weekends. To order a sandwich, you must get in line near the cold beverages and place your order. The menu is large enough and easy to read. Choose your bread type and any cheese you want added. A ticket is then printed in front of you and you take that to the cash registers. What is confusing after that point is many people gathered around with no sense of organization. One way to notice if someone has already paid or yet to pay is by looking at the color of their receipts. If you see someone holding a white ticket, most likely that person hasn't yet paid for their food. If you see pink in their hands, they have already paid and is waiting for their food. They also have breakfast offerings but I have tried any of those items yet. Besides the chaos of people standing around, the food makes up for it.
