Was craving a breakfast sandwich, but not wanting to dine in and found Happy Donuts in Pap Alto right off El Camino Real. It's 8 minutes from where I work, so very convenient. Parking lot is small, but the shop is very spacious. They serve Hot and cold drinks, donuts, cronies, croissants and breakfast sandwiches as well. They serve lunch and have burgers also. What I ordered Sausage egg & cheese on a Croissant Chorizo egg & cheese on a Croissant The croissant was very crispy and it took time because they actually cooked and not warmed it up like other places. On Doordash, they pick and choose when you can save by buying a dozen vs purchasing individual expensive ahh donuts. No dozen option availble at the moment which is irritating when Inwabt a bunch for kids.They are good donuts but I find this too be SNEAKY. The sandwiches are delicious. Just stertrd coming here a few months ago and I love their breakfast croissants. I love they have the thick salty bacon and they cook the egg on the same griddle giving it that 'dirty egg' taste. Their burger and fry combo is also really good and fairly priced. Donuts are always fresh and they have a huge variety. If you order a Vietnamese coffee, make sure you don't add sugar. I came by early on a weekday morning and I'm so happy I did! I heard of the infamous donut shop that was 24/7 and I've been wanting to try it for a while. Although it's no longer 24/7, it was really great to find a breakfast spot that opens so early. I was relieved to find that the parking was pretty easy, there's a few spots in front of the store and some street parking as well. We were greeted by two very nice ladies. There were so many options to choose from, I wanted everything on the menu! We started out with a couple of breakfast burritos, which included meat of your choice (sausage, bacon, ham, etc.), potatoes, tomatoes, egg, and cheese. I was super excited to see the variety of cronuts, it's been so long since I've had one. I went with the traditional glazed cronut and it was delicious. I loved the flaky layers of crispy goodness with sweet glazed sugar. We also got a hotdog that was stuffed in a plain bun, it was so awesome. I was happy with my Vietnamese coffee, she definitely made it with a lot of care. Although the store was busy, both ladies had spent so much time on each customer and I felt like there was a lot of care with the food they prepared. The store was spacious and there was a lot of room to sit and enjoy your food. The menus were so extensive and there's a little of everything under the sun on the menu. The chocolate glaze twist comes on a plain donut or even cinnamon... I went with the OG and it was so soft and fluffy while the chocolate glaze wasn't overwhelming. My boyfriend's coworker brought donuts from this place. My boyfriend ate one of those coconut flakes flavored donuts and around noon, he started experiencing diarrhea, chills, fever, out of body feelings. It was a horrible experience for him. I'm so happy I found another spot open at 5am before my work shift! This location is clean and very organized. The women who run this shop are in point; one fixing the donut cases, another cooking, another taking orders and helping out. They have a neat process of doing things especially for a big line of customers. I'm a huge fan of their breakfast croissant and bagel sandwiches. I enjoy ordering their croissant with egg, cheese and bacon while on my bagel sandwich, I like the egg, cheese and sausage. They grill and put everything together from scratch and taste delicious compared to other donut shops around. They also sell Vietnamese banh mi, noodle soups, and other delicious food items. I am a big Apple Fritter fan and wanted to give Happy Donut's version a try. Sadly, I was disappointed, as the fritter was old and tasted mostly like fried dough. Fortunately, I also ordered their signature Cronut donut holes, and was blown away! The layers were buttery and soft with the perfect amount of sugary crunch. I immediately had to return to order the large version, which tasted just as good. If you're in the mood for an Apple Fritter, I would not recommend this location, but I WOULD highly recommend visiting to try their Cronut! read more

I first got to try their filled cronut holes at a potluck and initially thought these could only be found at the Burlingame location. Boy, was I so happy to find out that there's a Happy Donuts so close to my workplace in Palo Alto! At 7AM, there were plenty of donuts displayed in the case and lots of trays of fresh ones ready to go. A line quickly formed after I arrived, but the staff was very aware and attentive so everyone was helped promptly after arrival. Although not listed on their menu, the filled cronut holes are a must! These are made upon request, which I appreciated since this prevented the cronut holes from becoming soggy. The cronut holes were generously filled with custard cream that wasn't too sweet! This balanced out the sweetness of the cronut hole itself pretty well. I paid $17 for 18 filled cronut holes. This is a bit pricey since it comes out to almost $1/piece, but worth the price as I don't know anywhere else I can get them! read more

Giving a 1 star rating due to the fact that I came in to buy a cup of coffee & and energy drink early in the morning. The lady behind the counter rings me up and I thought it was odd after I swiped my card that it didn't ask if I wanted to add a tip. Then I realized she pulled a sleight of hand trick and added the highest tip option available on the screen before she thought I could see it. Nice try Asian lady but I will be doing a chargeback on my card. If you're doing that bad as a business to where you scam customers out of tips you should probably close down. read more

I tried the Maple donut and it was the best thing I've ever tasted. When I found out the location is conveniently on Camino Real, I knew I had to go inside for myself. There are SO MANY donuts and pastries to choose from. They also have lots of sandwich and coffee offerings as well. Anything you could possibly want for a quick breakfast is here. And the prices are amazing, truly great deals all across the menu. There is also plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in. The working ladies were quick to attend to us and were very kind and thoughtful- we bought almost 2 dozen donuts and she went to the back to grab fresh ones off the baking rack.
