I woke up craving donuts this morning, which very rare for me, so I decided to treat myself. My favorite has always been a Boston cream donut (although I've never been to Boston to try the original one!). I chose this shop over places like Krispy Kreme because I loved that I could buy exactly the number of donuts with any flavor I wanted instead of committing to a dozen. That's a huge plus when there are only two people, because honestly, even one donut is pretty filling. I picked five flavors: * Boston Cream * Matcha Pistachio * Blueberry Cake * Old-Fashioned Glazed * Red Velvet Cream Cheese They all looked beautiful, but the taste is what really mattered. Matcha Pistachio - 10/10. Absolutely delicious! Great matcha flavor with a nice pistachio balance. Boston Cream - 10/10. Everything I hoped for. Rich, creamy, and definitely my favorite classic. Old-Fashioned Glazed wasn't really my style, but my husband enjoyed it. Blueberry Cake was a bit disappointing to me because the blueberry flavor tasted a little artificial. Our least favorite was the Red Velvet Cream Cheese. I love red velvet cake, especially when it's paired with cherries or raspberries for some freshness, but this donut was simply too sweet and didn't have much balance. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. They have a huge variety of flavors, you can mix and match however you like, and most of the donuts we tried were excellent. If I'm craving donuts again, this will definitely be one of the first places I'll come back to.
Was in the area and craving a fresh donut. Found this place and it did not disappoint. Parking was easy inside the little plaza which looked like an old converted motel. They have both a front and a back entrance. Inside they had all kinds of goodies, including donuts, croissants, cronuts, coffee, and much more. All the pastries are a huge portion. The nice woman offered to warm up my croissant. I also got a chocolate glazed donut. Both were really good, and fresh. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving some delicious pastries.
Matcha donuts. Ube donuts. Cronuts. Open 24 hours. Whaaaat?! Yes. 24 hours. Hubs used to live in the neighborhood, so we visited Chuck's more than a few times. And do you know what? Every single time we came by, service was always patient, helpful, & friendly. Every. Single. Time. Having tried a vast assortment, I can say that donut wise, all are good, & some are great. The standout for me is definitely the Ube donut. Hands down. The fritter was my least favorite (tended to be dry). No frills. Interior is old school donut shop. But that is part of the charm. 4 stars
I stopped by on a weekday afternoon. The place was not too crowded. There were a ton of types of donut. Nutella filled donut and choclolate cronut were my favorites. Pistachio donut was good as well. Surprised to see that this place operates 24 hours. I will be back to try more donuts.
Ok a co- worker and her hubby introduced this place to me. At first I thought, there is no way on God's blue Earth is this place as good as they describe. How WRONG I was. Coffee was really good, the best blueberry fritter that I ever had. The bagel with egg and sausage changed my life. An the place seems to be popular. I definitely enjoyed the food and service.
Overhyped. Came here on Jan 3, 2026, parking is a bit tight so be careful. Bought a blueberry fritter, matcha glazed and ube glazed and the total was $15 which is INSANE. Cashier said cash only and never offered to heat it up, went right back to talking on the phone with his wife or girlfriend back home. The blueberry fritter was decent, just the right amount of sweetness. The ube and matcha glazed were awful. It was just regular flavored sugar put on top. Donut was definitely old and sitting.
Overall 2.5 stars maybe even 2.6. It's over priced, overhyped and underwhelming in my opinion The donuts are pretty sweet, a bit too sweet for my taste. I think the glaze makes it even more sweet, and I was hoping for a more balanced flavor We paid $18 for 4 donuts, and they only accept Venmo or cash. $18 for four donuts feels pretty steep, especially when the donuts were just okay I love croissants, so I wanted to try their cronut (a croissant-donut) and we their traditional donut. Pretty insane variety. Fruity pebble stuff stripped frosting things. I'm a basic old foggie I like Maple bars. This one was solid. Fluffier on the inside but still tasted deep fried or something. Huge collection, short line, moderate prices. I think our 4 doughnuts were $18? Don't live here, would recommend it but don't think I'll come back.
I so wish this place had been around when I was pregnant and craving a glazed donut in the middle of the night! Chuck's Donuts is SO SO good. I usually stop by on my way home around 6 AM after an overnight shift, and their Apple Fritter is my absolute favorite -- it's huge, still warm, and honestly impossible to resist. I end up picking at it in the car, and it's gone before I even make it home! The people who work there are super friendly, the place is well lit and I love that they even have a vegan section. The only thing to note is they accept cash or Venmo only (no credit cards), but it makes sense since most orders are small. Totally worth going a little out of my way when the craving hits!
This chucks doughnuts is ok. I like their doughnuts and variety but the egg sandwich's were not fresh as they claimed to be! Also, a small line turned into a monstrosity because of their relatively slow staff . Overall I would only order the doughnuts from here. The water was also good. ACTUALLY we just paid for our ONE EGG CROISSANT #4 & water bottle and guess how much it cost. SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND SEVENTY EIGHT CENTS
Out of spontaneouity, or more like out of impulse last Sunday morning to relive the deliciousness of a lemon filled donut, I decided to check this shop out again. (Since the closest shop in Belmont is not as good or doesn't have much variety as this location). Plus the last time a bought a dozen variety for my coworkers back in 2021, everyone in clinic loved the donuts! I arrived around 1230 p.m. and was lucky to be served right away and surprised to find two more donuts of the Ube flavor left, I snatched these up as they looked interesting! Also, the man behind the counter made the lemon filled donuts for me. Apparently the flavors I chose were specialties and cost altogether, $20 for 4 donuts! Whatever, I thought and bought them anyway and was not disappointed. The Ube flavored donut was delicious, crispy as one other Yelper commented (but only bc of the dry frosting on top of the donut). Either my taste buds were off, but I couldn't tell if this actually tasted like Ube, but it was delicious nevertheless. The lemon flavored donut was my favorite. I know the filling is an artificial lemon flavor, but that didn't matter as it was still my favorite Lol. Getting here can be tricky; you're either coming in from the main road (Woodside) or if at the intersection you make a right or left on Orchard Avenue, there is this tight entrance with low clearance you can drive your car through. The parking lot is plenty, but shared with other businesses. Imagine coming here during rush hour! So try to go first thing in the morning or maybe on the weekend? Stop by and get your donut fix at Chuck's Donuts!
Came here on a Saturday night. We we're 3rd in line but plenty of donuts out! They had already run out of blueberry fritters (around 6:45pm). We got 2 apple fritters instead and a regular glaze donut. Loved both donuts! Would highly recommend coming here.
Ordered takeout, donuts ere delicious, the maple with whipped cream was crazyyy, didn't know what to expect but they did it justice, id do it again lol.

Redwood City is home to the infamous Chuck's Donuts. If you're in the Bay Area, and you're craving a superior donut, Chuck's is a must try. The donuts are exceptional. I've been on a donut kick as of late, and discovering Chuck's fueled the need for that delicious donut. We purchased three donuts, because sharing is caring. The Ube is exceptional. It's mild, sweet, creamy, with that hint of coconut. It's seriously the best Ube that I've tried. The twist was light and airy, with that melt in your mouth freshly made taste. The blueberry fritter isn't what I expected, it was more!! I absolutely love a good apple fritter, and it's challenging to find one that doesn't taste like lardy ick. THIS was on another level. The blueberry flavor was sweet and combined with the sweet dough and glaze, each bite was delicious. The fritter was one of the best that I've tried. All of the donuts in the case, looked phenomenal, and based on experience, I'm betting that they all are. I love that Chuck's is open 24/7 Will I be back? Absolutely! Should you go? Absolutely! To whom it may concern, I want to highly thank Shri for his awesome hospitality. We came in today at around 6:15pm and were intrigued with the amount of available donuts at this time! They all looked so delicious that we had to ask him for recommendations which did not fail! We had a confusion with the cash handling process with Shri but it was OUR mistake and not his. We miscounted our change and asked if we can please double check the cameras but we were the ones that made the mistake and not him. I want to sincerely apologize to him ( which we already did ) but most importantly thank him for his amazing service. I go here because it is just physically most convenient for me and I am pretty happy every time. They are open 24 hours and for being 24 hours, the donuts are pretty fresh. They get PM sun in the donuts and even then, they dont taste like they have been sitting out. They are a little expensive but what isn't these days? I will come back and be happy but not super thrilled read more
If you're craving donuts late at night, this is the spot! Chuck's Donuts is open 24 hours/day. The donuts are continuously made so there's always a full selection of favorites! My go-to is the cruller, which usually sells out quickly at other places but they had several when I stopped by on a late night. A donut a cup of hot chocolate hit the spot when I was here with some friends the other night. Definitely a popular late night delivery choice for many. I heard the DoorDash chimes ring several times when I was there. Sure the place does show its age but don't let that deter you from visiting. It has a classic nostalgic feel to it. There are a few tables and booths available for seating. If you're feeling lucky, they also have two lottery ticket vending machines. read more

Chuck's Donuts is open 24/7, so you can come by anytime. We had the blueberry, ube coconut crunch, and the white chocolate Fruity Pebble donut. All of them were fresh and tasty. The blueberry was soft and not too sweet. The ube coconut had a nice crunch, and the Fruity Pebble one was fun and sweet with a light glaze. Fresh donuts come out around 11am, so that's a good time to go if you want them warm. They also have coffee, milk, and soft drinks. You can get chai, cappuccino, espresso, smoothies, and freezes. They had sandwiches on the menu too. The donut shop has free wifi and feels like a regular donut shop smells like coffee and pastries. They only take cash, but you can pay with Zelle or Venmo, which was helpful. Service was fast and friendly. It's a great spot if you're craving donuts day or night. read more

However, I always go for their Ube donuts for sure. The Ube flavor is not prominent but it definitely still has the ube essence that is challenging to achieve. I love the quality of Chuck's Donuts and they are not too dense. I am not a fan of heavy dense thick donuts. Chuck's has a perfect dough to donut icing ratio. I will say that some of the donuts are too sweet but it really depends on what you get. There are also interesting savory donuts like hot cheetos or bacon maple donuts which is cool. SERVICE: 10/10 I have only gone to Chuck's Donuts during night time and considering how late we go, I would think the staff are tired but they are always nice and energetic. I appreciate that a ton! AMBIANCE: 7/10 The ambiance is just like any local donut shop! I've gone to Chuck's more times than I can count and have obviously been a fan of their donuts. The reasons for 3 stars: (1) sometimes the oil doesn't taste fresh, (2) parking is abysmal, and (3) two donuts cost $9 on my most recent visit. I'll still come back, though. :D read more

Chuck's has a great local vibe -- welcoming and low-key. I picked up a Too Good To Go box of day-old donuts and they were still soft, flavorful, and really satisfying. Friendly service made the stop even better. read more

Can you tell the difference? Yeah me either, I paid for extra meat ($4) on two sandwiches and one regular and literally the same thing. Btw the use the wrong type of meat for this " banh mi". Honey glazed pork from Safeway is disrespectful read more
