Ever since I came back from NY this past summer, I've had a violent craving for bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches. Luckily for me, there's two bagel spots within a stones throw from my work. Been meaning to try this one for a while now but didn't get a chance to do it until recently. For a small and unassuming shop, it actually got quite busy when I was there on a weekday at around 10am. There were only two people working but they were friendly and efficient. The bagels were warm, delicious, and satisfied my craving. Stopped by Bagel Place Cafe to grab some bagels for the day. Went around 11am on a Saturday and it was not too busy, with there being some indoor and outdoor seating available. I got two Jalapeño Cheese bagels - one with egg & cheese and another with veggie spread and it was ready after 5 minutes. Bagels were pretty standard, and I wish there was more Jalapeño Cheese flavor as it tasted like any regular bagel. Good amount of cream cheese - I preferred the spread over the egg & cheese as I felt the latter could have been seasoned more. Overall, simple, no frills local bagel shop with friendly service. I was craving a really good lox bagel and came across this spot on Yelp. We ordered two bagel sandwiches and paid $18 and were very satisfied. Both had fresh ingredients and tasted great! It's a small locale with two employees on a Saturday morning. They had a few tables outside to sit and clearly a good customer base because by 8:15 AM, there was a group waiting for their food with us. There are plenty of trendy bagel spots nearby who will charge $15+ for a bagel which is ridiculous, I much rather come here! Support small businesses! read more

If the pricing is old and not updated, then please let the customer know. It is the establishments responsibility to update the prices....not ours to know. If you want to keep small mom and pop shops like this one around, please respect the customers too. It's not only one way. A greeting and pricing that is accurate to your menu would be appreciated. "Hello, I will pay cash" ...."Ok, that would be 6.50" for an item that clearly says 5.50 everywhere. Things like this made you loose a customer, because egg and cheese bagels are available all over Bay Area for under $5. Heck the place in Santa Clara by the library charges 4.75. read more

Convenient breakfast spot right off of Lawrence expressway with a broad menu of bagel sandwiches, other pastries, drinks and coffee. There's outdoor tables but otherwise just limited counter seating on thenin I ordered the ham and egg with spinach and mushroom on sesame bagel - which was surprisingly crunchy. The combo was pretty good and hit the spot. I also ordered the strawberry croissant - pretty much as you would expect. Meets the sweet tooth craving - the pastry is moist and crunchy on the outside. Great find - in an area where there's not a ton of breakfast options (the most important meal of the day) because I think many techies don't eat breakfast or wake up too late :) That's all. read more

The prices haven't changed much since I started coming around 3-4 years ago. Plus they are still generous with filling for sandwiches. I don't bother going anywhere else for breakfast sandwiches anymore! Blueberry crunch is my fave bagel here and the croissants are huge!! read more

Wanted to grab a quick bite before running some errands in the morning. I was craving bagels and this place came up that was nearby. It's a cute little spot in a plaza on Lawrence. The service was very nice and welcoming. I thought I was gonna get some bagels but I saw that they had crossaint sandwiches too, and I saw one with chorizo... I just had to try it. I love bagels so even though it was dinnertime, I chose to come here instead of the nearby food stores for a quick dinner before an event. Upon entering I saw they had a lot of different options on the menu, with pictures included so you could see what they looked like, which is so helpful and convenient especially since I had to take it to go. Work cafe was closed so I decided to satiate my bagel craving somewhere else. Found this spot nearby and was enticed by the single $ sign on Yelp. Store is located right off Lawrence expwy, with ample parking. Shop itself is small, like many cafes... but it had a good assortment of drinks, coffees, and of course bagels! First off, I appreciate a variety of bagels and also when the menu is simplified to a handful of combinations with slight variations. Ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel. Waited barely 5-10 mins and my food was ready. CAUTION: being freshly prepared, it was piping hot! Flavors and textures were good, with no hint of aging ingredients from what I could tell. BUYER BEWARE!! You may not be prepared for how incredibly delicious your breakfast sandwich will be! I have literally never had something that tastes so delightful. And really, it was the croissant that did it for me. It was so buttery and flaky, every bite felt better than the last. I love being walking distance from this mom-and-pop bagel place! Probably my most-visited eatery in the bay area. I either get one of the cheese bagels toasted with egg & cheese + a spread or their turkey croissant sandwich, which they pack with fresh lettuce, tomato, and mayo+light mustard. Their fresh milk coffee is my favorite! I like it sweetened (they don't make it too sweet) and the coffee is fragrant without being overly bitter. Our go-to spot for delicious fresh bagels from this mom-and-pop shop! Open early and always friendly. They are located in a small plaza facing lawrence near McDonald's. Their location is nice as it allows for quick access to get back onto the 101 freeway if you are heading to work. You can order in store or through Grub Hub, but we prefer to go in person so they don't lose money to the delivery service. My personal favorite is the bacon and egg on a pesto bagel - fresh, soft, goey, melty cheese with crunchy bacon. The egg is also soft and moist *drools* When we go we usually buy a sandwich to eat that day and a few bagels for the next day or two. You can also buy their cream cheeses in small or large containers to take to-go. They also pack your bagels well and put it in a nice paper bag. Our other favorites are: Bagel Dog- huge hot dog! Asiago Bagel Everything Bagel Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Cheese Thai tea- good and only $3.50 Tip: their bagel sandwiches usually come with cheese Ex: "Bacon and egg bagel" doesn't specify it has cheese, but it does. The bagels are pretty ok... Nothing too crazy... The ambience of the place was interesting and on the older side .. didn't scream fancy or exquisite by any means. The bagels themselves are ok, some of the baking could've made it more fluffier but I guess on that day it was that great. A great little hole in the wall off of Lawrence Expressway in a quiet ancient strip mall. The people working there are lovely, the bagel sandwiches tasty and (according to my DH) the coffee, while out of a machine, is delicious. There is a mix of blended drinks available - Thai tea, fruit smoothies, matcha, etc. It is a nice spot to get a sandwich and drink and sit while the traffic of Silicon Valley rolls by. We woke up early to get Covid tested and skipped breakfast for the pleasure of standing in line for three hours, and afterwards we were looking for something to satisfy our growing hunger. Bagel Place Cafe definitely hit the spot. To call this place a small operation is an understatement. In the handful of times that I've come here over the years, I've only ever seen a single person working behind the counter. Things were no different on this occasion, but somehow the lone worker was able to take orders, make the sandwiches, and ring up the customers in a reasonably efficient manner. We got a couple of bacon/egg/cheese and sausage/egg/cheese bagel sandwiches on some different types of bagels. The meat portions were fairly generous; in my sausage sandwich there were two decent-size patties. The eggs were light a fluffy, and the American cheese was satisfyingly gooey. We did notice something curious. For both the onion bagel and the everything bagel, there were toppings on _both_ halves of the bagel. Not just a couple little bits of onion and poppy seed, but a thick coating as if there were two bagel tops and no bottom. What kind of sorcery is this? Don't think I've ever seen that before. We will have to return to see if this is a consistent phenomenon. If so, then one can only conclude that the proprietor is some kind of wizard. Anyways, this is a great place for a breakfast sandwich, a real mom-and-pop kind of operation - even if they are practicioners of the mystic arts. (BTW, we all received negative rapid antigen tests that morning - yay us, even if the sensitivity is lower than the PCR tests). read more

Pesto bagel had great flavor with great consistency. Both sandwiches had very tasty sausage Pattie's that covered the entirety of the sandwich, no skimping out here.
