After returning from my NYC trip, I was inspired to seek out local bagel shops in search of bagel that are as good as the ones I had when I visited NYC. I did a search and found Bagel Street Cafe. It's located in the shopping center at the corner of Mathilda & Maude... sandwiched between Marty's Donuts on the left and KFC on the right. I stopped by to pick up some bagels to take home. It wasn't busy when I stopped by just before noon. There was one lady worknig there and she was super nice. I made the mistake of assuming that bagels on the shelves matched the flavor sign on the glass in front of the shelves. This is certainly not the case. I saw bagels behind the Super Combo and Onion signs. So I asked for some Super Combo bagels and some Onion bagels. The lady then told me that they were out of Onion bagels (and here I am thinking "but wait, I see bagels on the shelf behind the Onion sign). She then tells me that the bagels I see on the Onion shelf are 3 other flavors, Pesto, Spinach and I think she said the third one was Asiago. The Pesto and Spinach shelves appeared empty (on the right side, see photo). Well this is certainly confusing. So my tip to you is to not go by the bagels you see on the shelves. This is not the indicator of what flavors the have in stock. Just look at all the flavor signs and then ask for the ones you want to get. They could have a flavor in stock even if that shelf looks empty. And a flavor could be out of stock even if that shelf has bagels on it. I ended up picking up half dozen bagels (Super Combo, Pesto, and Spinach flavors). I had the Pesto and Spinach bales toasted with cream cheese. And I made sandwiches with the Super Combo bagels. I enjoyed all of them. I will have to go back and try some of their other flavors. There isn't a lot of seating inside, a few tables inside and 2 outside. I think most people take it to go. There's plenty of parking at this shopping center. Didn't see a restroom for customers. Not a big deal since I'm local. But it's something to consider if you're traveling and want to stop here for a bite to eat as you pass through the area. I know it's common practice to want to stop for both food and a comfort stop when traveling. Plus it would be nice having the ability wash hands after eating.

I got a small vanilla iced latte with oatmilk... it came out to 9 dollars. When I asked her; she said it's because of the add ons. Flavor and milk... which it says .50 cents unless it went up. But yeah not sure I'd come back. 9 dollars is a little much for an iced vanilla latte.

I was working nearby for the day and had plenty of time to waste so I looked for a light breakfast. This was the random place I picked and the menu and pictures from yelp made it easy to select from all of the options. Located off of Mathilda sharing a nice sized parking lot with a few other businessmen so you won't have issues parking. I initially came in to try the pizza bagel but ended up deciding on a chicken pesto bagel on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, which didn't disappoint. I added some hot sauce that they had with the other forget me not additives. Very fresh and flavorful. I also grabbed a giant snickerdoodle cookie from the counter. Those items and a can of coke came out to 16 bones roughly. Not the cheapest but I wouldn't say that I felt ripped off in the slightest. The line moved pretty quick and the service was nothing over the top but friendly and respectful nonetheless. Now everything i pass by this place with my family I tell them they gotta try the pizza bagel from here and they remind me that I've told them 100 times now lol.

Fresh bagels in the morning!

You'd think that if you've tried one bagel place you've tried them all... but that's definitely not the case here at bagel street cafe in Sunnyvale. Not only is the variety of bagels, breads and sandwiches vast, but so are the combinations and possibilities! They serve breakfast and deli-style lunch items and nothing that I have tried so far has ever disappointed. #BringOnTheYum The staff is super friendly and highly efficient... whenever there is a line, it goes by very quickly due to their fast and friendly service. I've even ordered catering for a work event through this location and everything went through seamlessly! Every morning starts off a little bit better when I stop here before going to work. It's a small, relatively quiet place with a lot of personality. A good local stop if you are in the neighborhood. Personal recommendation: Try the pizza bagel! It's like a super-sized bagel bite!

Nice local bagel spot! They have all sorts of different bagel flavors. I tried their chicken pesto pizza and it was really good, the sourdough bagel was toasted nice and crunchy and it was cheesy. I really like the atmosphere of this place, it seems the managers recognize their regular customers and even their orders. They even have seasonal pumpkin bagel, will be back to try!

They have a variety of bagels and a great selection of cream cheese flavors. The sun dried tomato cream cheese was mid, but their jalapeño cream cheese was good. I had the pesto bagel and asiago bagel. I got a bag of chips as well and that was overpriced in my opinion.

I was in town visiting family so I decided to check this place out for breakfast! I got a plain bagel with sausage, egg, & cheddar cheese. I also got a hot matcha latte with oat milk, plain bagels and cream cheese. From first looks I was unsure about the taste but the bagel sandwich was one of the best I've had. I had never had a hot matcha latte but from the first sip I was impressed & it was perfectly sweetened. The customer service was good. There's limited seating indoors. There's a lot of parking since it is in a shopping center. My family also loved the plain bagels and cream cheese. If you are from this area, check them out!

Some updated photos of the menu as of December 2024. I really recommend the white pizza bagel on a jalapeño bagel with pepperoni added !! :)

Nova Lox & Cream Cheese Sandwich
Hope M.

I just came back from NY and this bagel was almost as good as NY -- it had a great chew to it! I ordered the Nova Lox and Cream cheese sandwich! It was only $12 which is such a bargain. The amount of cream cheese they put on it is perfect and the lox was so fresh! They also put quite a bit of capers on it which I personally love. I arrived at 1:45pm (15 minutes before they closed) and they only had a few bagels left! Make sure to go earlier if you want more of a selection.

Cute little bagel shop in Sunnyvale. We visited on a Sunday morning, despite having many customers service was very fast and staff was friendly. Their Americano tasted amazing

We were heading out of town for a long road trip and wanted something easy that we could eat in the car. My husband found this place and we gave it a shot and it was soo good. The portions in the bagel were plentiful, which is usually not the case, usually places kind of skim on the insides since the bagels are soo thick, not this one. Great tasting, fast, in and out in a pretty timely manner and soo good. Would come again for sure.

I like this place and will stop by again if I'm in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way. My eggwich was tasty but not substantial enough - paid for a full meal but left hungry. Great staff - attentive and they were happy to oblige adding toppings so that I had both meat and veggies (most menu options are not set up that way). Short wait.

Ok I do like the bagels here but I might not come back for a while…read more. We came on a Saturday around 10:30am and there was a longgg line outside. We waited about 25-30min. The shop is quite small inside with no tables so it's to-go only. We got: - Ube Almond (5/5): this was my personal favorite but the almond flavor is strong so if you don't like almond you may want to skip this - Cali Roll (5/5): Really good! However if I had to choose between this and a california sushi roll, I would probably just go for sushi tbh haha - Miso Scallion (4/5): Their seasonal AAPI month flavor. I couldn't really taste the miso scallion. It just tasted like cream cheese to me. But my husband really liked this one! Also, I'd like to note that we happened to get their last Ube Almond of the day (I felt bad hearing them tell the party after us it was sold out now). So I would recommend arriving earlier than we did. Overall, while the bagels did taste good, they were all VERY oily. Like oil literally drips out as you squeeze the bagel. So they're quite heavy to eat in the morning and not something I would get often.

While waiting we joked that the bagels must be hella messy if there's only wet wipes on the counter, no normal napkins. We had no idea how right we were. Very greasy bagels (to be expected, if they're dipped in butter). I make fun of my boyfriend for sometimes using a fork and knife with pizza -- this is a fork-knife bagel. Pork floss was delish, tons of butter and garlic flavor, soft and slightly sweet bagel, good mix of textures. The corn was a surprise...flavor wise it works, but it falls out all over the place. Fork definitely recommended. Bf's garlic Asiago was just as greasy, more garlicky, and I didn't think it was any better than a typical cheesy garlic bread. I would skip that one. It was good, don't get me wrong, it just didn't seem special or worthwhile. These bagels seem more gimmicky than anything. Good, but overpriced. Probably won't return.

After my half-year in the Bay Area, I frequently find myself craving a good NYC-style bagel, and, while Boichik Bagels hasn't _quite_ cracked the code, they've gotten pretty darn close. Their bagels are delightfully dense and slightly chewy, with a great snap from the crust. They're a little bit heavier than my average NYC bagel, but they've definitely mastered the NYC-style ginormous schmear of cream cheese and/or loaded breakfast sandwich. I've enjoyed their bagels in both sandwich form (huge fan of the whitefish salad with cucumbers and tomatoes for a more protein-rich / substantive meal) and with just a generous helping of cream cheese (of which they have quite a few flavors, including several vegan options). They don't have a _ton_ of bagel flavors, but they do have all the classics. Boichik also has a surprising love for pumpernickel; while the classic pumpernickel is delicious, I'm a huge fan of their pumpernickel caraway salt for a bit of extra herb flavor and savoriness. The staff is friendly and efficient. While there isn't any seating inside, there's a smattering of tables outside or you can always snag a seat elsewhere in Town & Country.

I ordered an Eggything Bagel and the Pumpernickel Bagel, one with Hatch Chile Cream Cheese and the other wit the Horseradish Cheddar Scallion Cream Cheese - shmears could have been more generous, and the bagels are more in the 'dense' range. Nahita Bakery operates a humble storefront with large glass display cases showing off their delicious baked goods, fried pastries, and stewed meats and vegetables. As a first timer, it was a feast for hungry eyes! We came in on a weekday afternoon and were hankering for a snack before dinner. The staff welcomed us in and gave us a quick introduction to their offerings. My mouth was already salivating at the sight of the golden brown pastries and at the mention of olives and cheese, I was committed! We ended up getting a coupe of their items including achmas (pastry made with sweetened dough) and pogaca (pastry made with buttery dough) - one filled with olives and one with the feta cheese. We also got a borek (pastry made with phyllo dough) with ground beef and asked to be cut up so it can be shareable. The olive achma was fragrant and soft when torn into. The olives were flavorful and distributed well within the bun. The feta cheese pogaca was flavorful and was layered into bun. I think it would have tasted even better warmed but it was delicious nonetheless. The distribution of the cheese could have been better to better fill my mouth with those flavors. The borek was a star but too heavy for one person to eat. The fried dough was crispy and paired with the ground beef made for a hearty snack to go with something warm to drink. The other pastries and entrees looked good and although we didn't have the stomach space for it this time, we know we will be back when we are in the area to try something new. Perhaps we will get to try their coffee next time! Overall, Nahita Bakery does an amazing job bringing their Turkish culture through food to the South Bay. Their quality of work is shown in the food's presentation, ingredients, and flavors and the clean open dining space elevates the dining experience here whether you're in for breakfast, lunch, a snack, or dinner. Their large parking lot shared by other small businesses is fantastic for those looking to get in and out on some errands. If you haven't had a chance to try some Turkish pastries, you are in for a treat at Nahita Bakery!
