Was looking for a donut shop on the way to a work gathering and this came up. So I decided to give it a try. I came at 7:45 in the morning and they were well stocked. I wanted to order one of everything, but was only here for sprinkle donuts! I got 6 pink, 3 chocolate, and 3 white. They were fantastic! Very pillowy and delicious. Walked in with my dad just right before their closing time and the lady helping us mentioned s BOGO deal. The case still had some items like classic glazed donuts, old-fashioned donuts, cruellers, etc. We grabbed some old fashioned glazed, normal glazed, and guava strudels, all well worth the price. This place is a no for me unfortunately. I was super excited to try it after seeing so many good reviews. I like donuts a few times a year so I was really excited to check out this unique shop. The outside smelled funny, which I don't think it's the shop owners issue but jsut wanted to note it. The donuts tasted like old oil, hence the 3 stars. They do have a variety of donuts and flavors, but I couldn't eat them given the old oil taste. Customer service is excellent, hence I only deducted 2 stars. Went back a couple times to get the veggie sw. Cinnamon tea; They boil cinnamon sticks to extract the flavor. Susan's Donuts is located in a small strip mall that also has Taco Bell, Pho Queen, Subways, etc. Plenty of parking available. It's a small tiny store. I only stopped in for donuts. I was charged the Fancy Dozen ($21) which personally, I didn't really get. She mixed in a chocolate bar and cinnamon twist with other classic donuts. Glazed Old Fashion - good, not too sweet, with crunchy edges. It's exactly what you would expect. The service was friendly and nice. I'll have to check them out again. read more

In my opinion, Susan's Donuts are the best donuts in Santa Clara. They are good sized, flavorful and fresh. They taste the way traditional donuts should. People rave about Stan's, but I've been to Stan's several times and their selection is always very limited. Susan's always has a vast selection of fresh donuts. Glazed, sugar raised, old-fashioned, cake, jelly, twists, fritters, etc. have been all been available every time I've gone in. This is the only place around that I can reliably find cinnamon crunch donuts. They have breakfast sandwiches and coffee there too. I've never gotten anything there except donuts, but always see people ordering sandwiches. It's a small shop. One of my favorite Too Good to Go pickup places. Always feel like I get my moneys worth and most times get quite a few basic donuts which I prefer. I was excited to try this place because I been craving a breakfast sandwich from a donut shop. Unfortunately the sandwich I had gotten wasn't good. The cheese wasn't melted just tossed on there. I also got a mango smoothie but the smoothie was all liquid watered down didn't even taste like mango or had texture of a smoothie. I had been meaning to give this place a shot. Swung by this morning to buy some donuts for my family and I and this place definitely has that classic donut shop vibe. The selection of donuts isn't very vast but they do have the classics. I picked up 8 donuts, 2 chocolate, 2 maple, 2 plain, and 2 glaze and yeah, they've got those flavors down. The two ladies working here were super sweet and super nice! 5/18/23 The Taco Bell I usually go to for breakfast wasn't open 'till 7am, so I was happy Susan's opened at 6:30 AM, serving some breakfast fare. I wasn't happy that it was kinda expensive (though what isn't nowadays right?) but mediocre. I got a ham & cheese croissant for over $7+, but turns out it wasn't really a classic ham & cheese croissant. It was actually a croissant sandwich with ham (2 mass-produced slices), cheese, and mass-produced rubber "egg". Egg was kinda gross, and some parts were some strange greyish color--just didn't look right, and of course feeling like rubber and synthetic is never a good thing for eggs. Otherwise the rest of it is what you'd expect for a microwave warmed ham and cheese sandwich. Also got a apple fritter which was about $2--kinda thin, not very meaty, not very apply... not that good. I really wanted to like this place. I first heard about it from Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein's Facebook page - he's been visiting Sunnyvale restaurants almost every day since the Covid-19 public health emergency began and writing about them to encourage people to support them. Susan's was featured relatively recently, so I made it a point to drop by. This place opens at 5:00am, and my daughter and I visited around 7:30am. We were disappointed to find that half the case was empty already, so few fewer options from which to choose. Perhaps they had a run on donuts that morning, but I've never seen the same thing at other places in the area. Anyways, we ended up getting their last maple old fashioned, a regular glazed, one of their "best apple fritters", a "best cinnamon roll". It was a mixed experience. The glazed donut was delicious, but the maple old fashioned and the cinnamon roll were both on the dry side. The apple fritter was also pretty good - there's no missing the apple flavor! Service was friendly and the store appears to be adhering to Covid safety guidelines. I read one of the recent reviews that complained that they received incorrect change, so when I handed over my cash I said clearly, "here's a $20 bill" so there wouldn't be any disagreement. read more

Is there a reason why this man keeps giving me a blueberry donut when I never ask for it? I'm so irritated with him because this is the 2nd time he's done this to me. 1st visit, I asked for a dozen. Easy: 6 glaze, 4 choc and 2 choc w/nuts. He shorted me 1 w/nuts and slipped the blueberry in my without even telling me. I looked in my box and was like, what is this?
