Solid donuts. Nothing special, but no notes if you just want classic donut shop offerings. Went around 9AM on a Sunday and had good amount of selection.

Guava strudel
Samantha C.

Walked in with my dad just right before their closing time and the lady helping us mentioned s BOGO deal. The case still had some items like classic glazed donuts, old-fashioned donuts, cruellers, etc. We grabbed some old fashioned glazed, normal glazed, and guava strudels, all well worth the price. The donuts were tasty, but I would probably pass on the strudel next time since there wasn't much filling and it was pretty dry.

This place is a no for me unfortunately. I was super excited to try it after seeing so many good reviews. I like donuts a few times a year so I was really excited to check out this unique shop. The outside smelled funny, which I don't think it's the shop owners issue but jsut wanted to note it. The donuts tasted like old oil, hence the 3 stars. They do have a variety of donuts and flavors, but I couldn't eat them given the old oil taste. Customer service is excellent, hence I only deducted 2 stars. Perhaps it was a bad bath of donuts I tried.

Susan's Donuts is located in a small strip mall that also has Taco Bell, Pho Queen, Subways, etc. Plenty of parking available. It's a small tiny store. I only stopped in for donuts. I was charged the Fancy Dozen ($21) which personally, I didn't really get. She mixed in a chocolate bar and cinnamon twist with other classic donuts. Glazed Old Fashion - good, not too sweet, with crunchy edges. It's exactly what you would expect. The service was friendly and nice. I'll have to check them out again.

Classic, simple donuts. Taste fresh and you know what you're getting. In addition to the different kinds of donuts (old-fashioned, raised, cake, fritters), they also offer a variety of drinks and specialty sandwiches. The shop itself is definitely old and feels pretty rundown, so it's certainly not the kind of place you'd linger in.

In my opinion, Susan's Donuts are the best donuts in Santa Clara. They are good sized, flavorful and fresh. They taste the way traditional donuts should. People rave about Stan's, but I've been to Stan's several times and their selection is always very limited. Susan's always has a vast selection of fresh donuts. Glazed, sugar raised, old-fashioned, cake, jelly, twists, fritters, etc. have been all been available every time I've gone in. This is the only place around that I can reliably find cinnamon crunch donuts. They have breakfast sandwiches and coffee there too. I've never gotten anything there except donuts, but always see people ordering sandwiches. It's a small shop. Only a couple of small tables, and a bit run down, but the service is always quick, and the donuts are excellent!

Too Good to Go
S T.

One of my favorite Too Good to Go pickup places. Always feel like I get my moneys worth and most times get quite a few basic donuts which I prefer. Almost always it includes larger items like cinnamon rolls and apple fritters, and usually taste very fresh. And they are very friendly so nice to support them!

The space feels super cozy and service was friendly. They even mentioned their Burnt Almond Cake has always been their bestseller. First bite tasted heavenly. This had more stronger almond and Italian rum flavor and I was pleasantly surprised by the sugared almond slivers coating. The custard was absolutely generous, creamy, and divine. I'd say Peter's Bakery is more traditional, but more fluffier while Sugar Butter Flour has a more modern twist and is slightly sweeter. Their version definitely has more custard, which I personally enjoy... but this may be too sweet for the older Asian parents family. I'd love to come back to try their cookies and other pastries next time. Their Burnt Almond Cake is to die for and would love to buy another one when I'm in the area. I want this to be my upcoming birthday cake!

We got the hazelnut napoleon and raspberry cheesecake and these were unfortunately quite dry and hard. We were hoping it was a fluke because we had gone late at night. I returned Monday morning and got a few blueberry poppyseed lemon loaves, lemon poppyseed loaf, and a coffee cake for work. Unfortunately these were all dry and quite hard as well. As if they'd been sitting a couple of days. The workers were quite friendly and I asked a bit about their cakes. They said the cakes are not freshly made and they typically bake when they're running low. But it sounded like things can sit around for upwards of a few days.

I ordered the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant with eggs and cheddar, just perfect One of my buddies got Roger's Omelette and said it was deliciously made lol and the rest of the group really enjoyed their sandwiches too. The service model here is great. They take your order, give you a ticket number, and then you ring it up with the cashier. It keeps the line moving much faster than usual. As soldiers, we really appreciate a place that moves fast so we can get our morning break in and get back to duty on time. The facility itself is very clean, and the outdoor patio is huge and spacious. The staff is incredibly nice and efficient. Their sandwiches are simple, made with straightforward ingredients, and always satisfying. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy something honest and well-made, without it trying too hard. I especially like the tuna salad sandwich and the pastrami sandwich. Both are classic choices, but they're done with care and great flavor. The value here is also hard to beat.

Because I did, and had to bother two event staff who had nothing to do with them. When I do finally find Simbongsa, they say they are outside and escort me back out. As if I came looking for the wrong place. Then, they ask if I placed a glazed order. I say no. They come back out in 5 and ask if it was not the glazed order. They confirm my name but mind you. I got a "3 piece" flavors with cookies n cream, chocolate churro, and Biscoff. While now I realize this is what they call their multiple flavors, they didn't sound like glazed to me at first - cause if I know something about donuts, glazed is not the same as cookies n cream nor churro nor biscoff. As for the actual donuts - they are smaller than they look. The flavors are good though. Anyways, I've been meaning to try them when they were in East Bay, but realized they moved south. So hence my trek here. Probably my only time.

Overall, the savory korokke I've tried tasted a bit dry and less flavorful than expected. It felt like something was missing and I couldn't pinpoint what... This is the first time I've had Korean croquettes (I'm used to Japanese ones), and maybe Korean style croquettes are like this. The croquette itself was crispy, crunchy, and chewy, so I think they do an amazing job with the crust! Twisted Donuts - like a churro without the cinnamon. It was crispy and chewy and sweet, not bad. I prefer this over normal churros :) Beef bulgogi korokke - a bit dry and wish it had a stronger flavor. The beef bulgogi wasn't the best in terms of flavor either. Crab Meat korokke - a bit dry and didn't have much of a crab taste. It felt like something was missing. However, service was great so I'm adding a star to my review. The lady at the front was super warm and welcoming. I know they haven't been around for long (last time I was here, a Katsu stall was at this location!), so I wish them the best!! Would be open to trying some of their other flavors.
