egg matcha
Vicky Y.

Since I'm a huge fan of the Cupertino location, I naturally had to check out this new Campbell spot, and it did not disappoint! The interior is absolutely stunning, with plenty of tables that make it a perfect environment for both getting work done or just chatting with friends. I got the egg matcha with less sugar and it tastes balanced; you can really taste the quality of the matcha and the richness of the egg cream. However, my only gripe is that half the drink is ice, which felt a bit excessive. It's a solid four-star experience, and I'll definitely be back, though I'll be asking for light ice next time!

Pate chaud
Jo C.

Pandan coffee flavor was subtle, the coffee was strong. The mango kiss was refreshing and I wished I had gotten a large instead. The pate chaud was delicious. It was layered nicely and the pork filling was good. It wasn't too salty and went well with my coffee for breakfast.

I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor profile of Phin's egg coffee. The coffee is strong (as you'd expect from Vietnamese coffee), and the creamy egg topping blends beautifully with it. The café itself is super cozy--I stopped by around midday on a Thursday, and it was packed! Service was a bit slow, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal. If you're in a rush and need a quick caffeine fix, this might not be the best spot. But if you're in the mood for a relaxed, cozy afternoon, it's a great place to hang out or get some work done.

I have been to other Phin Cafes but not this location yet. Interior is very aesthetic of brown earthy accents. It is very spacious and big, plenty indoor seating, perfect for studying/working/group hangouts. I usually only try their Viet coffees since it's what they specialize best in. I was recently recommended to try their matchas from another friend who said they got better, so I got curious and decided to try them out. Overall, their matchas are on the sweet side but subtle. It could be stronger. Drinks: - Matcha Egg Cream: wish the cream was thicker and sweeter - Banana Matcha: actually pretty good, unexpectedly. Banana tastes pretty good and real. I was confused at first because I didn't know the banana would be mixed in already instead of on top. - Jasmine Milk Tea: don't recommend it. Thin tea style (using less milk/creamer), the flower is definitely floral and fragrant but it's too much to the point where it's like perfume. Has the oversteeped lingering aftertaste and borderline watered down. I couldn't enjoy it or finish it.

Banana oat matcha iced regular sweet $7.40

Great place to work out of or have meetings--lots of people camped out on laptops. A bit pricey for what you get. Banana matcha was fine. Both flavors were subtle and subdued, I expected a bit more oomph. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Service was okay, not very friendly.

Ube matcha (would not recommend)
Mika D.

Quick and easy online pickup. I initially tried their Ube matcha which I'd rate a 2.5/5, The Ube taste was extremely overpowering and artificial (like straight up Ube flavoring). However, I've since tried some of their other drinks that I enjoy a lot more. Prices are comparable to other local matcha spots.

Classic Flight & Large egg coffee
Sylvia N.

I was really excited to try Phin Cafe! The flight is a good concept and also really aesthetic! I tried the Classic Flight, but none of the flavors really wowed me. It was cute that the flight came with a tiny banh pia! That was yummy. My boyfriend liked the salted coffee. We also got a large egg coffee, which was yummy. I was intrigued by the chorizo and taro pate chaud, so I had to try those! I was worried that the chorizo was going to make the pate chaud super oily, but the puff pastry they use isn't super oily so it balanced the chorizo very well. Unfortunately, because the puff pastry is dry and taro is a dry filling, the taro pate chaud was very dry. I used the matcha and pandan cream in my flight to make the taro pate chaud less dry, and that was good. Service was a bit slow, but it was kind of busy when we came! Everyone was nice and willing to help.

I've made a few visits here and I've enjoyed each time! The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The place is super clean every time we drop by and the quality they serve is always on point. My bf gets the Pandan Matcha and I love their Matcha Lemonade. Their Pandan Waffle is also such a lovely treat to get, highly recommend!!!

Such a cute and modern cafe with plenty of work space. They roast their own beans so that added a pleasant coffee smell while I was there! They have a wide range of coffee to chose from. I decided to be adventurous and got their durian coffee! The creme on top was sweet and has a nice pleasant durian aroma. The coffee itself stays true to it's roots, strong and sweet. I got default sweetness and it was pretty sweet for my liking. I would definitely recommend 50% sweet if you decide to try their coffee. Overall, a solid spot and friendly staffs. I'd be happy to come back and try more of their menu!

Stopped in at 4 pm because I've been dying to try the banana matcha latte. I try to avoid caffeine because of the effects it has on me, but I needed this matcha. It was so worth it. Ordering was quick and easy. They really take their time crafting their drinks. The banana matcha latte was the best one I've had so far and I've had about 10. I especially loved the fresh banana chunks paired with the earthy matcha and creamy oat milk. My friend ordered a decaf egg cream coffee and it was presented nicely. There is plenty of seating inside the spacious cafe, but no pet friendly patio!

Amazing cafe. Ambiance is on point for those who want to bring their laptop and do some studying/work. Their presentation of Vietnamese drip coffee is worth it for the price. Looking forward to try their specialty drinks like coffee margarita and pho coffee when I want to treat myself. The WiFi password will be printed on your receipt so don't forget to request it after your purchase.

Pretty solid spot if you're in the mood for coffee or snacks. The space is huge too and nicely decorated with padded seats throughout. I usually stop by and grab an egg coffee, banh mi which is decent, or waffle for my kids. This location serves a flight that needs to be enjoyed here, which I'd love to try one day when I'm not on the go. Music isn't super loud so I could definitely see myself stopping in and getting some work done here. Wall chargers, if you can get a seat by the wall are available.

Tried both the pho Vietnamese coffee and the pandan coffee. I genuinely felt bad not giving this place 5 stars because everything else was great. The star deduction is only for the pho coffee flavor. To be fair, the worker did give me a heads-up that it's a 50/50 item, but I wanted to try it because it sounded fun and unique. Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan. It tasted a bit sour at first, and toward the end had a strange aftertaste. Not many times have I disliked a coffee, especially a Vietnamese coffee, so this one just wasn't for me. However, love the creativity! That said, the pandan coffee was excellent. My mom ordered it and we both really enjoyed it...smooth, flavorful, and easy to drink. I would 100% return to try their other flavors, especially their tasters, because I can already tell they'd be amazing. Service was outstanding and the ambiance inside was great. Overall, I still really loved the experience and would highly recommend this spot to others! I'd maybe just say skip the pho coffee unless you're feeling adventurous!

My absolute favorite dish is the grilled shrimp and BBQ pork with rice sheet wraps, it's outstanding. Their appetizers are good, and the egg rolls are especially delicious. The beef soup is also solid and comforting. You can tell this place has a loyal following many of the customers seem to be regulars, which really adds to the cozy, family style atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

The fresh rolls and egg rolls were the highlights. The fresh rolls were do it yourself style with rice paper, thin noodles, nuoc mam sauce, fresh mint, cilantro, and vegetables. The texture was great, chewy with a fresh crunch from the herbs and veggies. The egg rolls were just as good and came with vegetables for wrapping, making each bite feel balanced. These dishes alone are worth coming back for. We also ordered the bo luc lac, which had very tender filet mignon with bell peppers and onions, savory with a slight sweetness. We added sides of rice, which paired well. The clay pot catfish was sweet, savory, and flaky, a solid choice if you like fish. For drinks, my daughter had fresh squeezed orange juice, and I had the iced Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was smooth, perfectly sweetened with condensed milk, and not burnt. I would definitely order it again. The holiday decorations were a nice touch, with Mr. and Mrs. Santa, a festive window display, and a photo booth in the waiting area. Shout out to John Huynh of One Snap Photo Booths for the fun setup. We were seated quickly, given an extra chair without any fuss, and they even took our to go order early. The only issue was being charged for a few items we did not order, but overall we really enjoyed our visit and would gladly return for the fresh rolls and coffee.

The pho comes with either fresh noodles or thin noodles. The bowls are really good size! Probably come for dinner next time because our lunch bellies couldn't handle it all! I asked the server if he'd recommend the banh bao xa xiu and he told us the chicken baos are more popular. Pho Dac Biet (17.89): lots of meat! Like more meat than I feel like typical pho restaurants give Pho Ga Di Bo (17.99): pretty good chicken pho, dark meat bone in Banh Bao Ga (8.49): probably not made in-house but I could be wrong. Wouldn't recommend I'd probably come back to get that pho fix if I'm in the area!

Variety is great, but then I'm assuming items like the boba are probably powder/syrup based, and that many food items may be frozen/not fresh. House Combination Pho - 2.5/5 Came out with very nice presentation but realistically that's all that was special about it. Nothing really stood out besides being very salty which I guess can be some peoples preferences, but maybe you should stock up on water before ordering this. Chicken Bun - 1/5 Buns everywhere are hit or miss so I don't know why I bother ordering this anywhere. This was 90% dough with 10% meat as is usually the case of places that don't handmake it in house. On top of that, the "meat" portion was largely mushroom, so..... no thanks. Not even sure if I even got to taste the meat to be honest. They do come with three buns per serving, but again, what's the point with that ratio. Shanghai Pork Dumplings - 2/5 Nothing special and tastes like a frozen/costco item that's been reheated in a steamer. At the very least the quantity,6, that it came with somewhat made this ok. While this is the Bay... Prices are a bit higher than what I'm used to and unfortunately no one really wants to pay above average with what is most likely non-fresh items. Service is really slow and pretty bad, even taking into account Viet standards. Order - Receive Food - Pay and get out. Not really a fan, I'd recommend sticking to items you normally find in a pho place if you're okay with average unless you want verrrry subpar options.

I was pleasantly surprised with the pho ap chao, it was really tasty and crispy and a dish I have not tried before. We really enjoyed everything but the Bo luc lac (shaken beef) was super tender and the beef was flavorful! This is a must try in my opinion! This restaurant is clean and tidy and has cute decors of bamboo hats hung from the ceiling and remind me of being back in Vietnam again. Staffs were attentive as customers entered. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. I will definitely come back here for everything I tried during my visit and to try more when in the area or on the way back from Santa Cruz. After leaving her, the cousins who were in town all met for dinner at Com Tam Thanh. There were 8 of us. One of the locals knew about this place and it was her recommendation that lead us there. What a feast! The portions are very generous, and the menu is extensive. One could call this Vietnamese-Thai fusion, as they had a number of Thai dishes on the menu. We didn't try the "Broken Rice", but the description sounded interesting and they had a large section of the menu with different options in that area. Dear Hubby tried a pho soup. I went for wide rice noodles with shrimp and veggies. Ah-ma-zing! I can still taste the savory sauce and the tender noodles with the plump shrimp. Am wondering if there's somewhere local that I can get something similar as a craving has been notched. We also had two orders of spring rolls for the table and they were so fresh and delicious. A real treat! I wasn't sure I would like the peanut dipping sauce, but I did like it a lot. It didn't taste like peanut butter; it had its own unique flavor. The ambiance didn't make a big impression with me because I was tired and hungry. Everyone needed to decompress after being at the medical facility. It was very nice to be with the family members again in a warm, safe place with delicious food. We took a lot away; the portions were generous. As we were on the road, we ended up giving the leftovers to our grandson to take home when we saw him the next day. Thankfully we had a refrigerator in the hotel room so it worked out well. DH and I could have shared one entree with the spring rolls on the side - it would have been plenty of food.
