I was hopeful for a good cup of coffee, but left disappointed. The coffee shop is inside the same building as a seafood restaurant, and it looks as though staff works at both. They were understaffed, as the worker had been in the kitchen for the restaurant and appeared about 5 mins after to take our order. I ordered a seasonal cold brew, but it was super watered down and didnt have any flavor. It made it difficult to drink and I just took the loss since we were just visiting and on the road already. We also ordered the mini beignets, which it's unsure if these are made in house or brought in by another business. They tasted like a donut with Nutella filling instead of a traditional beignet. This probably wouldn't be my first option to come back to for coffee.

Came here on a last minute whim to get some studying done. I ordered the Cupids Cloud which has raspberry hibiscus milk tea with rose & strawberry it was actually really really yummy I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. On the first sip you really get the hibiscus tea and rose together it's really refreshing but can taste a little thick or syrupy. I also ordered the chocolate croissant which was sadly stale even tho warm! Really chewy and not soft- hard & inedible, but the chocolate was very sweet and yummy would love to try this fresh. I did come at the end of day around 3pm on a Sunday. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. Now this cafe is a combo with pier 402 an oyster restaurant so the outside does smell like fish/ crab boil which isn't a bad fish smell - just makes me want seafood and can be a little off putting if you're going for more "cozy cafe" vibe. The service was unwelcoming, judgmental, & told me to wait outside for my drinks for some reason even tho it was empty inside. I felt bad seemed like they were the only one making drinks and taking orders. Parking lot is for pier 402 customers only so be on the look out for street parking! I liked the taste of my drink the variety of drinks like smoothies etc, I like that they are open until 1900 and I enjoy the space even tho I was directed outside & stayed there due to not feeling welcome inside. I like that outside had lots of overhead shade as well

After my Bark in Park. We needed some coffee. So we headed for Crema. I like coming here for coffee and going next door to Greenlee. After checking their seasonal menu,we decided on the mooncake latte. Something different than PSL. I asked the barista for her opinion on weather it tastes better hot or iced. She recommended iced. I agree, It was slightly sweet and slightly nutty. It also has a strong presence of expresso. The place is huge, plenty of people talking and working. Not sure what needs to be done on a Sunday, but plenty of laptops out. Also as a side note for those who drink black coffee. I've had their plain coffee and it's pretty good. Not bitter or to strong.

Cute cup, latte was watery though

First of all the parking situation is pretty confusing here. Technically Crema is part of Pier 405 - so all of the parking spots in the back that are labeled for Pier 405 are also available for Crema customers, which wasn't clear to me until I asked the cashier inside. I came here on a Wednesday around noon and the place was basically empty. Service was so-so, I didn't feel like they were particularly welcoming. The latte I got was flavorless and watery which was disappointing for $7+. Lastly the ambiance was terrible here. Anyone looking for a nice coffee shop to sit down and work at, don't come here. You could sit down and use their wi-fi, but its not a good working environment. It's dark inside, not a lot of natural lighting, and the music is loud despite the place being empty. Vibes were just off.

I enjoyed the atmosphere when Crema was on the Alameda. Coffee was good. Espresso drinks were good. 1st time trying the coffee at Race steer. I ordered the campfire cold brew. It was ok. 3/5. Seemed a bit off balance, a little too sweet and coffee didn't taste fresh fresh.

While driving, I saw the Crema Coffee Roasting Co. logo on the side of the building, and was compelled to go in and get some coffee. I'm glad we did because they had a unique pumpkin coffee called Pumpkin Bumpkin Mocha. I do wish the flavor had more pumpkin flavor in it, but overall I still enjoyed the drink. Service was quick, ordering and paying at the cash register. There's plenty of options for indoor and outdoor seatings. Coffee shop comes recommended.

I wish I could leave 10 stars! This location is right across from some major construction but don't let that deter you! There's so much parking in midtown. Every time I come here, the baristas are so kind and welcoming. They work incredibly hard, and they make GOOD coffee. I don't drink dairy so I can't speak to items with dairy milk, but the oat & almond milk drinks I've ordered are so balanced and well priced. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Plus there's a lot of windows facing out, which provides great lighting if you're working. We ordered a hot and cold latte this day, as well as a vegetarian breakfast burritos. The ingredients for the burrito were so flavorful and fresh. I can't recommend this cafe enough!

quite chaotic and unorganized...lavender haze double latte (medium) $5.75 before tip...

area looks a little rough...mostly street parking...entering crema to find a large space downstairs and upstairs...saturday late morning visit...couple asian ladies working and looking busy...quite chaotic and unorganized...noticing food being taken to the wrong people and customers looking confused...the place wasn't that full, but those little ladies were working hard...no line to the counter, but giving them a little time to calm down before walking up to order...lavender haze double latte (medium) $5.75 before tip...keeping an eye to make sure we grab the right drink...drink provided and taking it to-go...sweetness of honey and strong lavender flavors in a milky foam...drink was for the wife and tasted more like a morning coffee dessert drink...overall the drink was okay, but they really need to improve the logistics of running their business...

Ask the Community - Crema Coffee Roasting

Do you guys have wallplugs/outlets inside the cafe?

No they don't

When I search board game cafes on Yelp this pops up as the number one result in the area. Does this cafe have board games?

No they don't...

How's the parking situation here streetwise and parking lot wise?

It's not great. There some street/side street parking that is not much at all.

Does any one else have issues connwcting to the Wi-Fi? I have come here on three different occasions and I can't connect to the internet...

It's worked just fine for me.

Do you still have open mic night the last Saturday of the month?

Yes and no. They still do the open mike thing, but at the other crema location down the road a bit.

Do the smoothies, particularly the berry banana smoothie, contain milk?

Yes, but you can substitute it with almond milk or no milk

The place has this worn-in, artistic, slightly scruffy charm.. idk if I'm describing it right. It's like... the kind of hangout where people come for a quick catchup each other but end up drifting in and out of nice, long conversations. Like.. the morning version of going out for drinks. Instead of cocktails, it's cappuccinos and spearmint lavender tea. same energy. Nothing feels overly polished, which is exactly why it feels comfortable. The music is one of my favorite parts. Very eclectic in the best way! I'm very particular with music and have an inside joke with my wife about hijacking the Bluetooth at certain places to play some "actual music" but damn. Find myself removing my headphones to listen to what they have playing. Sometimes I feel like I'm inside an NPR segment. Lol The coffee and tea have been consistently tasty. Great espresso, tasty tea options, and no one rushes you out. just gentle background life happening around you. Another shoutout to the staff. Literally EVERYONE has been amazing and they're always in such great moods. In return, all the customers are super friendly too. Love it :)

The baristas seem poorly trained, and they don't have a solid process anymore. They've expanded their space, but that just makes the wait and confusion worse. I recently was in their new space and ordered two simple cold brews--no modifications. Where they used to pour it straight from the tap, now they treat it like a latte--and everything takes forever. If you want to linger in their aesthetic (albeit chilly) space, maybe that's fine. But if you just want takeaway coffee, be prepared to invest 20-30 minutes. It's no longer the quick, quality stop it once was.

There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.

I remember when they had their other coffee shop down the way from the Alameda. I actually like that location better just because it was more of a homey environment, and I love how it was an old Victorian house where you walked up the stairs! So comforting warming feeling! This one looks like it used to be kind of a warehouse with very open spacious areas, but ample area for work if you can do digital work at a coffee house. Lol. The barista is working, seem to do their work rather quickly, but no small talk or anything. Maybe they had a long morning? The whole place was packed with customers hanging out and doing their own digital work as I was picking up 2 cups of coffee and checking out their Pastory scene. I got an ice red velvet latte which I've only seen at Bitter+ Sweet in Cupertino!! I also got a blended iced coffee drink! That was incredibly icy and smooth and totally hit the spot!! I will definitely come back here again since I didn't know they had breakfast options. I literally only came for coffee and a pastry today so I wish I knew about their breakfast beforehand. Lol I always got their coffee and then would go down the street to Cafe Roselinda for delicious breakfast burritos.
