This establishment is part of a south San Jose plaza near Dick Sporting Goods and Happy lemon! It's super spacious and lots of parking. The staff were super nice and patient with me since it was my first time there. I ordered the following: - Cop Car: great balance of dark and milk chocolate for a smooth drink - The special bagel: so much avocado! Great balance of cream cheese and cucumber. The lemon drizzle added a good zesty flavor profile. - border bagel: a hefty and delicious bagel! The eggs were so soft with a crunchy bagel. The coffee is always good! The seasonal drinks are pretty good and they always have something interesting. If I'm not getting a seasonal drink, the Cinnamon Twist and Caffe Cubano are super solid and very tasty. We like to get the pastries here too, especially the scones. This spot is nice and spacious, and the wifi is pretty good so you can work there. They're always welcoming and friendly, and remember to ask them to stamp a rewards card for you! read more

I read about this coffee shop from our neighbors' posts on NextDoor as to their favorite coffee shops, so I decided to check it out. It's close to where I shop at Smart and Final, but located in the strip mall with Dick's Sporting Goods and Bourbon and Blossom Restaurant on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. There's an outdoor eating area, but there were clouds overhead, so people were sitting inside. The shop has some nice bakery goods, panini, crepes, bagels and sandwiches, besides the espresso and latte drinks. You can come meet up here with friends for a breakfast or lunch or a snack in between. The chocolate croissant I ordered was very big and tasty, the Mexican coffee was good, with espresso and chocolate. I also ordered a sourdough grilled cheese sandwich, just know that it takes a while to get a nicely grilled sandwich. I would have liked to have had an additional slice of cheese, because I'm used to fatter grilled cheese sandwiches, but it was still tasty with the traditional sharp cheddar cheese . I'll definitely come again to try the other things on the menu. There's plenty of parking, the restroom was clean, and there are plenty of other types of food available to eat at this mall, including a taqueria, a fish and chips restaurant, Miyakko Japanese restaurant, and Blossom and Bourbon. I also went shopping for groceries at the Chavez Market, and in this mall, there's also a Sally's Beauty Supply store, a shoe store, nail shop, Ace Hardware and some other stores. LOVE having a neighborhood go-to coffee spot and this place is great! Have been to the other one off Almaden but BLVD brings all of the great coffee, food and experience to Blossom Hill! The little guy chose a Cruffin which was a sweet, flaky cinnamon croissant/muffin delight. The adults would have liked it more but he ate through almost all of it on his own! We shared a Special Bagel (on an Everything which was a light, crisp, refreshing start to our day. And of course had to get coffee. I was in the area on the weekend and decided to give Blvd a try. I had heard a lot of good things but I don't have the time to make it over in the morning on a weekday. It's super spacious inside, lots of pasty options and well as lots of drink options. They also have a seasonal drink menu so I tried the pistachio latte. The pistachio foam on top was delicious. It was extra but definitely worth it. I ended up also getting the almond croissant which was delicious and they had a lot of other options that I really wanted to try. Finally got around to trying this place! The workers were friendly and service was fast which I appreciated. We got our order to-go so that we could enjoy at home since we live close by. My husband enjoyed his Americano and said it was good overall. I got the coconut matcha which was light and refreshing. I had asked for the coconut color foam on top as an add on, and I don't think it was included when I got my drink so I was a bit bummed about that. I didn't notice until I got home or else I would have said something. For food we got the cruffin and the almond poppyseed muffin. Both were fresh and tasty! They also warmed them up for us which I appreciated. Overall, there's a ton of seating in here and it seems like a good place to hang out and work/study. This is definitely a good local coffee shop to check out! In the future, I would like to see maybe a few more tea based options, as there were only 2 (that I could see) and I'm someone who doesn't drink coffee. read more

From Pizza Turnover to Coffee Powerhouse I spent an afternoon working from Blvd Coffee, and this was my first time visiting their new location. I have to say--it's an impressive transformation and a great addition to the area. The environment is perfect for getting work done or just relaxing with a good drink. It's spacious with plenty of tables, large screen TVs, and lively music that gives the place great energy without being distracting. The café itself is very clean, and the artwork throughout is fun and cheerful, with pieces that celebrate and symbolize the Bay Area. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which always makes a place feel even more welcoming. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk, and it was excellent--rich, smooth, and far better than the watered-down versions you get at Starbucks. They also sell pastries (which I didn't try this time) and have some great branded merchandise like coffee, shirts, and hats for sale. What will definitely bring me back next week--besides another work session--is their breakfast menu. It looks fantastic and I'm excited to try it. And when the weather is nice, their spacious outdoor seating area will be the perfect place to sit. It's also worth mentioning that this spot used to house two different pizza restaurants that didn't make it in this shopping center. Blvd Coffee has completely reimagined the space, and judging by the atmosphere and crowd, it already seems to be a hit. I'll definitely be back. read more

Blvd coffee is serving up simple cups of coffee without any frills or gimmicks. I had a cubano and a cinnamon twist latte, both were decent. The coffee wasn't too exciting but it also wasn't dull. They also have a generous menu that includes coffees, pastries, and savory bites. They have a display of the many pastries that they make, which all looked delicious. The service was good for what it was, as only one barista was working so it took a little longer than usual but that's expected with only one person on the bar. The ambience is simple, nothing too exciting except for the disco ball that is in the middle of the room. So overall, if you're looking to get some work done, have a simple coffee and pastry, then this might just be your spot. read more

3.5 stars I normally don't like to give that rating but it's mostly based on the customer service, or lack thereof. My niece ordered, the cashier asked for her name, she spelled it for him, and he said, "I'm still going to spell it wrong." I mean, come on now, excuse you! That shows a lack of effort on his part to care for the customer. Another name mixup was with my other niece: she said, "Judy." They spelled it Julie, which was an honest mistake; however, when it comes to drinks/coffee/customer service in hindsight the cashier could've repeated her name to ensure it was correct. Ordered: Avocado toast: 4/10 - not enough avocado Strawberry and Nutella crepe: 9/10 Sunny something panini: 10/10 - turkey pesto Breakfast plate: 8/10 Cinnamon Twist: 6/10 Cafe Mocha: 8/10 Spacious inside compared to the Almaden location, which is smaller and not as bright (more on the darker end). There was a disco ball that turned on, unsure of the vibe they were going for with this. There's a large tv so I would assume it'd be good to hang out and lounge. Stopped in here on a weekday morning and it was very busy, which of course added to the wait time as to be expected. I did not order any coffee, but I definitely will next time. I did order a bagel with cream cheese. That really hit the spot and I loved how they gave you a lot of cream cheese. I really enjoyed their coffee but the experience was ruined because it took 30 mins for a simple sandwich to be served. The staff seems to be untrained and are not professional in getting orders out promptly. Extremely disappointed since the Almaden location has such great service. Their third location is now open! We've been a fan of Blvd Coffee since first visiting them in Los Gatos several years ago. Saw on Instagram that their new location is open. It is conveniently located less than 2 miles from where we are visiting this weekend. We knew we had to stop in right away. The location was easy to find and there is lots of parking, yay! We were greeted warmly upon entering. I immediately went to look at the baked goods. They have a good variety of items, including several flavors of scones and that is all I needed to see!! I got a vanilla bean scone, my husband got a lemon white chocolate scone and we picked up a croissant for my mom. I'm a tea drinker, so I opted for a hot green tea. My husband is a coffee snob and ordered a double-shot espresso. My husband credits the owner, Humberto, with introducing him to good tasting coffee years ago. We have one coffee roaster in Vacaville where my husband swears it is the best espresso around. All other espresso's are judged at this benchmark. Blvd Coffee makes espresso that meets this standard. It is tied with the best espresso he's ever had. We love that they roast their own beans and make their baked goods. It is a family run operation with very sweet staff. We loved the interior of the cafe as it offers bright cheerful tables inside and shaded patio seating outside. We hope to visit again soon, the next time we are in town. read more

The cruffin is so delicious! It's super crispy on the outside and soft and doughy inside. Highly recommend getting it heated up. The coffee is really good too. My husband got the cubano, which is their signature. The crepe and breakfast burrito were average. Nothing to write home to and probably wouldn't get them again, but we weren't unhappy with our meal. I personal had the crepe with turkey, cheese, egg, and avocado, and felt it to be on the dry side. Im glad I asked for some pesto because that helped it be a little less dry. As of now, we'd for sure come back for pastries and coffee! Can't wait to try more bakery items! If you plan to dine in, they have plants of tables available. (i'm surprised because i enjoy their coffee at their other two locations). i more-so come for their home made scones! i've tasted nearly all scone flavors & they're delicious! my faves are guava & maple. although their coffee is just okay to me, they have creative & unique seasonal drink menus which is fun to order from. id say this is a solid spot for a grab & go drink, a date, a family outing or a friends hangout because there's ample space indoors & outdoor (yes, even for a stroller). plus points for having high chairs for the kiddos! employees at the register are always kind. the atmosphere is a little awkward (not your typical cozy coffee shop) which takes away from the coffee experience. good thing they have a stamp card program because it gets us to come back! read more

Tried this new spot today and was underwhelmed. I got an iced pumpkin spice latte which felt overpriced ($6.95) for an okay-tasting espresso and what looks like Torani syrups. The menu is also quite limited. However, the ambiance is nice - minimalistic and spacious. What really boosted my rating and made a lasting impression was the outstanding service: I was helped by Nicolas who was responsive, courteous, and very hospitable! We are excited about the newest coffee shop addition to south San Jose! We love the other blvd coffee but this is closer :) we just got drip coffee (him regular and me decaf) and it had great flavor. We also got a blueberry lemon muffin that was alright. It's still a new open so there's some kinks to work out I'm sure. Adding art, plants, and/or couches would make it cozier- there's certainly room for it. The cashier was super sweet and engaging with our child. We will be back! read more

You can do WAY better for your money. I think the only way this place has high reviews is people that know them because this ain't it. The croissant sandwich in an earlier review is what sold me and what I got looked absolutely nothing like it. The croissant in their display and in that picture is NOT what I got. This was a soggy super low quality McDonald's croissant that felt like it just came out of the microwave. It was so bad that I had to take it back and got the bagel instead. Even the bagel I got was a soggy piece of bread that felt like it came from Safeway. The cappuccino was just okay. Please, do yourself a favor and spend your money on better places. $33 for 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches that were fast food quality was not it. EDIT: The owner stated he could not find the picture I was referencing, when it's right here in the reviews. I added it for convenience. Also, I didn't mind that the sandwich was flat, nor was it cold as he mentioned. The problem was that it was a soggy croissant as if it was placed in the microwave. I was so excited to try this spot as I've been wanting to check it out for a while but closest location was Los Gatos...too far for me so I'm so happy there's a South San Jose spot! I popped in early morning for a pre workday coffee and breakfast. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I took a minute to take in the menu and make a decision. The iced white mocha was delicious and not too overly sweet with syrup with a good nutty coffee taste. The ham and cheese breakfast sandwich was delicious also. Blvd Coffee, Blossom Hill, located in the old location of the short-lived Buddie's Pub (which looks like it said "Buddles Pub", in my opinion), is a welcomed addition to the Blossom Hill neighbourhood - an area that needs a fresh injection of non "big corporate" chain coffee shops. Coffee is solid, with options for most tastes, and the ability to customize that you would expect. The espresso-based drinks are made on traditional Italian espresso machines and grinders, and all brewing is done by hand, with all steps being done manually. This is in sharp contrast to many big box coffee shops these days, and offers a more analogue experience, but also means you can expect some varrience in what your drink will taste like from visit to visit. The staff is incredibly friendly. The family who owns the establishment works alongside everyone else, and are personable and relatable. I was thanked today for sharing posts about their new location and experience in all of my networks. This is usually pretty thankless, so I appreciate the love in return. Ambience is a work in progress for this site. It's a bit clean and sterile looking, but based on their Almaden location, I'm hopeful that they'll add some styling pizzazz soon enough. The building has great bones, so there's no reason it won't be gorgeous inside soon. I'm still experimenting to see exactly what I like the most there, but to date, the best drink I've had was a vanilla latte with an extra pump of syrup, made with 2% milk. Barista's name was Enrique, who I believe might be a manager at the site. There is also a super friendly order taking individual named Edith who brightens up the atmosphere with her smile when I go in each day. She might be found in the picture I'm posting with this review. Give it a try. I've been there almost every day since their soft opening and will continue to give them my business and recommend any time possible. read more

Love having a good local coffee spot in the area. I got the Mexican mocha for myself and it was delicious. I got the pumpkin pie chai for myself mom and stole a sip. Also delicious. My brother is allergic to dairy and they were able to accommodate. I got him the fall latte that had maple, cinnamon, and honey and oat milk. None of them have been good. On this occasion : Ordered 2 orders of the avocado toast, comes out with 1 slice and told "sorry we will bring out another slice. " ...Never came back. Never mind there was hardly anyone in there and it took 20 mins to toast bread and put avocado on it. Asked for 2 eggs on the toast ($4 each egg). A total bill for 2 ppl: two cups of coffee, two avocado toast with 2 eggs $50. Wouldn't mind the price if the items were actually served. White plain walls with no personality, sign outside said crepes, paninis, etc... It's a fairly large space with great potential, wish them the best but this kind of service and pricing won't last in this area. read more

I had a crepe here and a coffee. The crepe had uncooked zucchini and the coffee was not really that good. It was poor in quality and not tasty. When I walked in multiple tables had crumbs on them. One table was even stained from a prior customer. When I pointed that out to the employee she acted as if I was some inconvenience for asking her to work and clean her tables. A person that entered after me was unnecessary loud. There is coffee shop ambience and then there is a person at the next table talking inappropriately loud. There is a certain level where someone is too loud for other people and this person is very unself aware. When I told him to lower his volume so I could focus on my task, he became unnecessary immature and confrontational. The employee didn't insist that he lower his voice to accommodate others. I pondered upon this establishment one day and so glad that I did! The barista offered me an expresso shot to sample their beans and it was good. This weekend we had bagel breakfast sandwiches (super good) and cappuccino & latte. The staff were so kind and checking in on our order. The coffee ship is in a big space and clean, which is important to me. I'm definitely planning to support this establishment and continue to enjoy their good coffee & food. blvd coffee will forever be one of my favorite coffee shops. locally owned and i believe also mostly family operated! the coffee is ALWAYS on point, i've never had an issue with my drink or food! i recently tried their Tg - Napoleon and it's to die for!
