Lox toast with poached egg
Linda C.

A cute and fast breakfast/brunch place. Came here with a friend because I have been wanting to try this place out. The tater tots are one of the best I've had with the prefect amount of crisp. I got salmon toast and m friend got the breakfast sandwich. We enjoyed the fact that it was not overpowering or greasy and that it as light enough fit for brunch.

Bacon breakfast burrito with avocado.

Tasty bites in a bougie Insta worthy atmosphere. I had the bacon breakfast burrito $16 and a flat white at $5.50. Burrito wasn't huge but certainly was tasty. Filled with creamy scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes, and bacon. Service was fast and efficient. I'll be back!

Breakfast spot that took over La Vic's! Been seeing this breakfast joint when I drive past by for months now but never got to try it until recently. We came with a group of 5 people in the morning on a weekday around 9am. There was a good amount of traffic coming in and out mainly for takeout orders. We got to take a look at menu but opted for easier visuals through Yelp. We ended up getting a raspberry matcha, matcha with cream top, hot latte and a vanilla bean latte for our drinks. For our food, we got nutella banana sandwiches, avocado toast, breakfast burrito, and a couple mortadella sandwiches. The matcha with cream top here is heavenly. I never finished a matcha drink so fast in my life. It was flavorful and the cream top was a phenomenal addition. My sister enjoyed her raspberry matcha saying there was a fruity yet still earthy taste to her drink. The hot coffee latte (not sure what they got) was gone by the end of the meal. I would come back here again strictly for the matcha with cream top. The vanilla bean latte was a little too sweet for my boyfriend and he couldn't taste or feel the caffeine lol. The mortadella sandwiches here were amazing. The brioche bread was soft and sweet. Everything inside the sandwich: the eggs, meat and cheese complemented one another. The avocado toast was refreshing to eat adding a good balance to our meals. The breakfast burrito was a popular item here it seems! A lot of people got it, and it was gone by the end of our meals. The Nutella banana French toast was popular with the sweet teeth people we had in our group. I can't wait to come back here next time for breakfast or for a quick stop for matcha and breakfast. :)

Grilled cheese with bacon

Finally decided to stop by and see what all the hype is all about. Wasn't disappointed. Went there for lunch, around 12:30p-ish, on a Saturday. Wait was not too bad, less than 15min. Maybe because of the weather, was drizzling a bit. Service was pretty good, chill, casual homey feel. No check ins though, and didn't ask whether we want any condiment. We had to ask to get the chipotle and minty cilantro sauce that were in small to go cups on the kitchen counter. Food was great. The fried mortadella had a nice crisp to it with tender slices of the mortadella meat and nice sweet dijon-mayo sauce. The burrito I thought was a tiny bit dry but with the extra chipotle and cilantro sauce, it was good. Didn't try the grilled cheese, my kid said it was good but very greasy, not for those that wants a light healthy meal. Price point I think was good considering the food/ingredient quality and amount. Tipping was the usual tip screen on the POS while the cashier stares at you. Overall a pretty good place that I will most likely visit again if the wait line is not too bad.

Iced matcha latte with cream top, seasonal raspberry matcha

It's our second time coming here and the service was good. It's a pay and choose your table set up which is nice but there no specific server for you. Outside environment is nice given there's limited spots inside. Fried Mortadella 3.5/5: Great flavors, fluffy and crispy bread but the sauce was lacking. Get a chipotle aioli on the side and it makes it much better! Tater tots 3/5: very hot, fried very crispy. cheese as seasoning was a nice topper but a sauce would've been better. Again side of chipotle aioli saves the day. Cheese burger 3.5/5: very savory burger and had a perfect amount of sauce. Could've used lettuce for some greens and to break up the grease. Iced matcha with cream top 2/5: for will almond milk, not very strong. It's okay but I wouldn't get again. Raspberry ice matcha latte: also got with almond milk. Very tangy, wasn't a fan. Some good items but some misses here.

This was my third time visiting, and I honestly love this place more every time. The food is always delicious-fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. What really stood out this visit was the hospitality. Penny, who is always so friendly and welcoming at the front, made our experience extra special. She greeted us right away and made sure we were taken care of from the start. At the end of our meal, she came by to check on us and asked if we needed any boxes. We casually mentioned maybe just taking a little cheese to go with our tater tots. Instead of just boxing leftovers, she went above and beyond--she realized we had accidentally ordered regular tater tots instead of the truffle ones, and she came back with a fresh order of truffle tater tots for us. We were so surprised and grateful--it was completely on the house. That level of care and attention is rare. The vibe here is always great, the service is consistently warm, and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend this spot--not just for the amazing food, but for the genuine hospitality that keeps you coming back.

Morning Lobby gets a solid 4 stars from me. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-kept, which immediately sets a great tone when you walk in. Front desk service was friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth and welcoming. The food across the board was excellent. We tried a variety of items--the Strawberry Overnight Oats were fresh and flavorful, the Bacon Breakfast Burrito was hearty and satisfying, and both the Birria Bowl and Chicken Bowl were packed with great taste and well-balanced ingredients. The Nutella French Toast was a standout--sweet, indulgent, and definitely a treat worth ordering. The only downside was the pour-over coffee. While it was good, it's hard to justify paying over $8 for such a small cup--that alone feels like a 1-star value hit. Overall, great food, clean space, and strong service. Fix the coffee pricing and this place is easily 5 stars.

Morning Lobby, you are quite delicious if I do say so myself! I've been here twice now and each time I've left very satisfied. The first time I got the caesar salad wrap, which was very good. However, after trying the breakfast burritos my second time, I have to say I'll probably never get the caesar wrap again. The birria breakfast burrito was SO flavorful and the sauces they gave paired very nicely. The bacon breakfast burrito was also really good but the birria was my favorite. My boyfriend didn't agree with this though haha and he thought the bacon was the best. The drinks were also tasty but the food is definitely what stands out from Morning Lobby. Aside from that, the staff were really friendly and the wait is never super long either. Highly recommend!!

Attractive cafe; comfortable and inviting. I loved the sleek pink quartz bar and fresh white, Pinterest-y decor. Hostess was warm and welcoming. She explained to me how it works -- you order at the counter, choose a table, and have your order served to you. Breakfast burrito has a craveable combination of soft eggs with crunchy tater tots, nacho cheese and fajita spice. Seriously, yummmm. Perfect with their vanilla latte. Coffee drinks are good quality. Smoked salmon toast has the perfect ratio of salmon to cucumber to cream cheese to bread -- light, not too salty. Looks like they do everything right. This place is magnetic.

Iced Cafe Miel and Americano

Checked out Morning Lobby and overall it was a great experience. The only downside was the line to order, it took a bit longer than expected. That said, everything we got was really good. The avocado toast with a poached egg was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. The banoffee overnight oats were also a standout, perfect if you're craving something a little sweet. For drinks, both the iced Cafe Miel latte and the Americano were excellent! Both were smooth, strong, and well-made. Long line aside, Morning Lobby is definitely worth checking out. I'd come back again!

Warm and cozy breakfast spot

I've been here a few times for breakfast. They seem to be doing really well and they had a line (that moved pretty quickly) every time I went. They did a great job of making the inside look bright and cheerful. It's the perfect decor for a brunch spot. My favorite dish has been the birria burrito, especially because I'm not a huge breakfast food person. I liked the salmon toast but found the portion to be on the smaller side. My friend really liked the overnight oats. I tried one bite and thought it was tasty! A fun spot to meet friends. They have a nice outdoor (but covered) patio too.

If you're looking for a chic brunch place that's serving up modern American/California brunch and high quality coffee and teas, then this might just be the place for you. Nestled in a rather busy shopping center, you'll find Morning Lobby in one of the corners facing the expressway. You walk in and go straight to the counter to order, then you'll be given a number, which you take to any table, our couch, you'd like to sit at. I ended up getting a lemon poppy cake matcha and a birria bowl, which were both pretty good. The matcha definitely was good quality but the flavor and sweetness balance was just a little off for my liking. Yet, it was still a good quality drink. The birria bowl was also good, but the rice was a little over powering at moments and the beef could have used a little more spice. Still, it was a strong contender for one of the best brunch spots in San Jose. So if you're looking for photo worthy drinks and appetite pleasing brunch, in a chic and cutesie cafe, this just might be your place!

Wholewheat chocolate chip cookie
Joanna M.

Food was okay, burrito was served lukewarm. It was nearly noon, and most of the pastries were gone. I ordered a wholewheat chocolate chip cookie. It was interesting. Service was acceptable. You order at the counter and they give you a number. Food and drinks came out okay. The chai, hot and iced, were very disappointing. No flavor, no spice. Despite the cute vibe, this will be my first and only time visiting Morning Lobby.

The team here was nice and we ordered a flat white and an iced Chai. The drinks didn't take too long to come out and we ended up sitting outside for a bit so we could sip on our drinks. My husband's Chai was a bit too milky, reading other reviews it seems like we should have ordered it extra strong so we'd have a bit more spice. He finished it quickly and ended up asking me if I could look up a new spot that might have a better Chai. My flat white was good, and I sipped it slower before we ventured off to our second coffee shop of the morning. Definitely a cute little cafe, but it's worth asking extra questions about their items to make sure you're ordering right for your tastes. For lovers of spicy Chai, ask for extra spice here.

It's a small place but has indoor & outdoor eating. Lively (Latin?) music & an extensive menu. If you have a large party or are with picky eaters, this place has it all. I ordered their egg scramble with chorizo. 5/5 The rice & beans were seasoned so good. Even as sides, as individual items they were DELICIOUS. The chorizo & eggs weren't overly greasy & the tortillas were good. My partner ordered the steak sandwich. 4.5/5 Flavor was amazing. The steak was a little chewy. The sauce on the side complimented it very well but not necessary as the flavor of the steak was great by itself. I ordered a strawberry mimosa, as well. It was really lacking for me. Didn't taste any strawberry. Just looked like pink champagne. 2/5 Overall, the food & customer service was great. Clean bathrooms. Good vibes. Will definitely come back & try the rest of the menu.
