Came here on Saturday around noon to celebrate some small milestones. I arrived a bit later than my party so they were waiting about 15 minutes longer than me. I think we only waited 30 minutes total. Bloom has both outdoor and indoor table seating, as well as booths and a bar. Although I didn't get any footage the queue of people waiting was huddled all around the storefront. Even with a full restaurant we were served really quickly and I felt the noise level was vibey, and not disrespectful. The people to bathroom ratio is a bit rough, and we all had to wait for a while. I got the jumbo crab bene. I think Benedict's can sometimes be a hit or miss for me. I really hate it when they use the rubbery type of bread, but their bread was fresh and buttery. Enormous amount of crab too. I felt I needed the fiber and chose it have it with fruit instead of potato's, and was pleasantly surprised all of the fruit weren't tart at all, even with my ube drink. 10/10! read more

Got there around 10:45am on a Saturday and were met with a 45 minute wait. We chose to sit outside with the heater since inside was pretty crowded and loud. It was warm enough, but a little awkward at times with people standing right behind you while you're trying to eat, plus some cigarette smoke drifting through. Food was decent overall. The chicken and waffles were just okay, the chicken was on the thinner side. The churro waffle was pretty good, and the carnitas benedict was solid and something I'd order again. Service was fine. Came to Bloom for the second time recently, after coming years ago and trying a bunch of the most popular items from their menu. Food was solid then and is still solid now. The first time I tried the pulled pork bene, chicken and waffles, and croissant french toast, I liked all with the croissant french toast being my favorite because I'm a sucker for french toast. This time we got the California Bene and Steak & Eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, the California bene was pretty messy and hard to share, but it was loaded up with bacon and avocado. Each meal came with duck fat potatoes, which were really good. Portions are very large, we left super full and ended up taking home a lot of the potatoes. It gets really crowded, so come early or prepare to wait. We arrived shortly after they opened and got a seat no problem, but by the time we were done around 9:15am on a Saturday, there was already a wait. The first time I came was a weekday afternoon, and it was even packed then. The one downside other than the wait is that because it's crowded, it is very loud. It's not a very relaxing dining experience, but brunch often isn't. read more

Finally had a chance to try this spot recently and was pleasantly surprised! This place always had a line so I was curious. I'm not a fan of brunch spots because they feel overly simple or seem like its trying too hard but I was surprised at the variety of flavors they have. We ordered takeout: some savory dishes and a churro waffle to try. Crab cakes benedict was pretty good. Decent balance of flavors but pairs well with ketchup or cholula sauce. The garlic potatoes are so good! Chilaquiles was decent. I've only had it one other time - this one was ok! They had two eggs, chunk of avocado, some cherry tomatoes, cheese, salsa, and chips. Churro Waffles are so good! I don't typically like the sweet stuff but this was pretty good with a cup of coffee. Generous amount of berries! All in all - flavors were good at this place but it does feel a liiiittle pricey for what you get. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a special brunch spot! read more

Adequate brunch spot that I feel is better than a lot of other rival brunch restaurants in the south bay. Lots of greenery on the walls and I liked how there were fresh flowers on every table! The sweet potato shishito hash intrigued me from the get-go and it did not disappoint. I've never seen a place offer this combination; the saltiness from the corned beef hash intermingled with the sweetness from the sweet potatoes was delicious and well-played. The shishito peppers kind of just tasted like slightly undercooked bell peppers though -- I think they would have benefited from some extra blistering. Nonetheless, still a diverse dish that I'd come back for. Service was efficient and our server was patient with us even though there were crowds forming. Additionally, the restaurant is pretty small so expect the tables to be fairly close to one another. read more

Went to Bloom with Des and BB for brunch before an afternoon of shopping at Valley Fair, and it was the perfect start to the day. Located in a shopping center next to Starbucks, Bloom offers a menu with a little something for everyone -- from indulgent brunch options to lighter choices. Des and I shared the churro waffle, which was a standout. It had a crispy texture and was coated in cinnamon and sugar, topped with melted cookie butter, fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries. It also came with maple syrup, but honestly, it didn't even need it. Portions are definitely large enough to share. We also ordered the "Bacon & Eggs", which came with scrambled eggs and duck fat fried potatoes. The eggs were fluffy and well done, while the bacon had a great balance of savory, sweet, and a slight kick from red pepper flakes. The potatoes had great flavor with garlic and parsley, though they could have been cooked a bit longer for a softer texture. BB ordered the jumbo crab Benedict, which was impressive. The English muffin seemed house-made, with a soft, flaky interior, and the amount of lump crab on the plate was very generous -- definitely a standout dish. For drinks, I had the butterfly lychee martini, which came with a vial of butterfly pea simple syrup that changes the color from blue to purple -- fun to watch and great in flavor. BB had the lavender matcha, which was beautifully presented and also well enjoyed. One small note -- the water served was lukewarm, which made it less refreshing. Service was great overall. There was a bit of a wait since they don't take reservations, but it moved quickly. Pricing is very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. I got some food for takeout at around 10:30a on a Saturday, and I must say, even for take out it was 5/5! The chilaquiles had the right mix of chips, eggs, cheese, and great tasting salsa. The crab benedict was good and I enjoyed the garlic potatoes. The only gripe here would be the little bits of shell I could feel. The churro waffle was pretty much perfect, not too soggy and not too hard. Not super sweet but you're not left wanting more of anything in either bite. First time here and even on a rainy day, it is quite busy. We waited for about an hour and got serve quickly. The food was amazing and portion was huge! You can honestly share a plate with another person. I got the lavender lychee martini and I was told the Bloody Mary is delicious. Defiantly have to try that next. Ambiance is cute and cozy. We came here around 9am on a Saturday Morning and got sat immediately before the morning rush! I got the special lavender matcha and it was nice and refreshing and not too sweet! For food, I got the special BLT sandwich which was good and had a cheese crust. It came with salad and garlic fries which were both so delicious! My boyfriend got the Chicken Pesto Sandwich which came with the same sides and was great as well! Our server brought out a croissant french toast which they had an extra of which they gave us for free. It was delicious and a very nice surprise. Bloom completely lived up to the hype. My friends and I chose it based on the great reviews, and we were honestly so impressed. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. And I have to say--I was not expecting such a cute, elevated spot tucked into a strip mall next to a grocery store. I really hope they continue to get the recognition they deserve. We decided to try a new place out foe brunch and decided on this place. I never knew it was next to Luckys. Always thought it was a floral store. Anyways. Plenty of parking here at this complex. We did not have any reservations but was seated right away inside. The hostess was nice and friendly. We were able to order our food and receive it quickly. I opted for the corned beef but the waitress said that it is shredded. I was fine with trying something new. I would say the dish was fine but my veggies were slightly undercooked. I thought the potatoes in duck fat was flavorful. My wife got a Bene dish. She enjoyed it and the portion was large!! Every time I pass by this place always has a line out the door( literally) and today was no difference. Came on a Saturday morning and the line was all the way out the door. I found this place on yelp after going to Kaiser Santa Clara. It was PACKED and I needed a table for myself and my toddler. I was a bit annoyed that they ran out of high chairs; they asked if I wanted to be seated without one. I was starving, so I agreed. I plopped my daughter next to me on the cushioned seating against the wall... my fellow parents reading this, you know how much of a gamble this was. Thankfully, my daughter stayed seated. I was disappointed that the menu had no kids offerings. It appears for several years, people have pointed this out. My suggestion to the business owner would be to create some kid friendly options--at least two to choose from would be nice. I ended up ordering her avocado toast ($15). It came with a salad, which of course, is unappetizing to kids. They offered to remove the toppings of pickled red onion, radishes, alfalfa sprouts, which was a nice gesture. She barely touched the avocado toast (didn't like the creamy consistency, used to more chunky at home), so I ended up eating it all. Ate some of my chicken apple sausage scramble ($23). It will be busy you will have to wait, but let me tell you the turnover of the tables by the staff is its own ballet. And once you are shown to your table the wait will be worth it. Came here on a Saturday morning and was luckily seated in a few minutes. The interior was very nice with floral decor around and a hanging plant on top of us. We browsed the menu and they had a separate all-day breakfast and lunch menu that started at 11am. Smoked Chicken Apple Sausage Scramble (3/5) - They definitely didn't skimp out on the sausage as there was a load of it. It was delicious with a nice smokey taste to it. I think it was a bit too watery with the cherry tomato in it. The dish was very watery at the end, which killed my appetite a bit. The seasonal fruits had fruits that wasn't really in season. The melon wasn't that sweet and the strawberry was sour. Overall, the atmosphere was great. I may come back and try a different dish if so. read more

Went here for Valentine's Day breakfast! They had a special menu with loads of different items to try. Absolutely loved the drinks and food, per usual. The ube matcha was brilliant, really loved it. Husband's gin cocktail had a cute ice cube which said "bloom". So adorable! For food we had the eggs bene and the croque Monsieur. It's always a favorite and really hits the spot! Also tried the apple dessert - so light and delicious. Loved it. The staff is really friendly and the ambiance is so cozy with gorgeous plants hanging all around the main dining area. The bar is also very pretty! Couple points to remember: 1) If you come after 9:30 am it gets super busy and has long wait times. 2) There are only 2 restrooms for the entire restaurant so expect a wait to use the restroom as well. 3) no reservations, walk in only. This place look small from the outside but inside was quite spacious, it's bright and have a nice aesthetic touch. Service was fast and attentive. One of popular innovative brunch places we decided to try. Arrived around 10:30am, Saturday, and found a long line. Checked in and told the wait is 40 minutes. They paged us in about 30 and we were seated soon after. It was so loud that we cannot really carry a conversation. They should put some sound absorption material on the walls. Ordering was quite quick and pleasant, even it was a packed place. We noticed the orange juicing machine and all oranges were pre-washed. That's quite appreciated. The "butterfly lemonade" was Lychee flavor and came with a vial of purple sweetener to make a dramatic pour. Then it was delicious. Coffee was slightly weak and also burnt, guess it was over-roasted for latte drinkers. Chicken and Waffle was absolutely delicious. Chicken was battered and boneless. Waffles did not need syrup, although it did not hurt either. Crab meat Benedict was well made. The Hollandaise sauce was brightly acid, muffin thick and soft. Potato was fried soft, not crisp, and tossed with garlic which I like. I can see the ingredients are of good quality and cooking done well. But it was impossible to get a table casually, unless planned strategically on timing. Good things come to those who waited? read more

Since I can't eat pork, most of the times I have to avoid breakfast burritos but was pleasantly surprised theirs was steak. By far one of the BEST breakfast burritos I have ever had. The eggs were fluffy and the steak was perfectly tender. The salsas they give on the side also really complement it well. I also ordered a side of the potatoes and that duck fat really makes a difference cause I had no idea why they tasted so dang good and then on the receipt noticed why lol. My husband and I decided to check this place out because of its high rating. So, when we drove up to the plaza and saw the crowd, we were excited because if it was that busy it had to be really good. We waited about 45 minutes (which we were told when we put our name in) and sat in the car until we received a text. We were seated at a table on the left side of the restaurant for two people. The tables are pretty close together which I get is to maximize space. But our tables were so close together that it was hard for us to get into our table without bumping into the one next to us. Our server came to our table and provided us our menus quickly. We looked it over and put our orders in shortly after that. While waiting, the host who led us to our seat told us we had to move to accommodate a bigger party. I was a little disappointed but I understood since it was so busy and it was only a table over. No big deal. But, once we moved, she combined the two tables next to us and then moved a chair to the side facing our table. Essentially, the back of that new chair was a few inches away from our table and we were already feeling cramped to begin with. We put our orders in and my husband had the chicken and waffles and fries. I had the carnitas bene and brussel sprouts. It took a bit of time for the food to come out. The first time a person dropped off our food, they gave 1/2 of our dishes correctly. They had accidentally given us someone else's order and I had to wait longer for my correct order to be given. That was disappointing. When my dish finally got to our table, I had asked for some Tabasco sauce. Our server forgot it and I eventually had to ask a different person to deliver us the hot sauce. Lastly, my dish was a bit disappointing. The carnitas weren't dry but they lacked a lot of flavor and seasoning. It was very bland. My husband's waffles were great and the chicken was also moist, but again lacked seasoning. The Brussels sprouts fine. Garlic fries were very good. I think it's in a good location (not too far from Santana Row and in a plaza with ample parking). The inside is really cute as well. Maybe it was just part of the morning rush and thats why our service or food wasn't as great. Might try again but won't be rushing to go back. read more
