Came for brunch on a very busy Sunday & stood outside waiting to dine in for only about 10 mins. Which was a surprise due to how busy they were! Upon entering, we were sat at beautiful bar area & greeted almost immediately. The decor inside is stunning & the entire restaurant was very bright. We ordered the Bloom Burger & Chicken & Waffles & enjoyed some racing on the bar TV while we waited for our meals. When our meals arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with how full my plate was with a massive burger, fries, & salad. Both meals were delicious & hit the spot for us. The bartenders made sure to check in when they could & keep our waters filled. Overall, we had a great experience & will be back to try more items!

My go-to brunch spot. Not open 7 days a week, make sure you check the days and hours! Holy moly--the Benedicts are absolutely delicious! Fresh OJ, killer bacon--it's always a 5/5 for food and service. A little on the small side, so plan ahead! Easy parking. Charming, delicious, and consistent!

I've had this booked for ages and finally got a chance to try this when visiting SJ. I heard the wait times can get crazy but I went when on a weekday so we walked right in and got seated. So many delicious menu options and I got their Blooms breakfast burrito which was absolutely loaded with marinated flank steak, scrambled eggs, grilled red onions, crispy potatoes, roasted chilies, fresh avocado and cheddar-jack cheese blend. The burrito was huge and the leftovers were almost enough for another meal. It was really good and hearty. All the ingredients tasted very fresh, the steak was a bit chewy but other than that it was good. Service was also fast and the waitress checked up on us a lot. Highly recommend for your next brunch spot or outing with the family.

Easy to find parking in a Lucky Supermarket plaza. It gets busy for a Sunday brunch but I arrived around 11am and the wait was 35 minutes which surprised me at first but after dining here I can see why the wait is considerably shorter than other weekend brunch spots. The menu is very straightforward but still lots of options with good descriptions. The service is spectacular and quick. I was surprised to see our food out quick but still hot. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor but the clean up between groups is also very efficient from what I saw. Food portions and taste is also very good! The jumbo crab bene gives such generous portion of crab making it worth it.

Early bird came to this popular place finally. At 805 the restaurant is already half full. We took a glance at their fresh ingredients and debating what to order. Finally all doesn't disappoint us. We especially like the tartine as it's both crispy and soft. The Britto is also a good choice with stakes and veggies. This place feels so alive. You can choose to sit at either the inside or outside. Doesn't matter as you'll always feel a fresh smell of weekend morning.

You can expect a wait here anytime of the day. This is a great spot to come for brunch with your friends, family or colleagues. Everything we ordered was well presented and tasted just as good. The crispy French toast-style dish was perfectly golden and delicious, while the chilaquiles were loaded with fresh toppings, creamy avocado, eggs, and plenty of flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I would definitely come back here to try other dishes.

Second location that we've tried. Same menu, but the food is pretty consistent at this location as well. Love that chicken and churro waffles. Trying to Philly sandwich for the first time and it was OK. Still like their bacon and brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The crab Benedict is always a good one to go to as well. But definitely recommend this location if you're in the area plenty of seating inside and out. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Definitely a brunch place we're gonna keep coming back to. Incredibly tasty food. Fresh, flavorful and primo ingredients. Magnificent food presentation and lively atmosphere with prompt and pleasant service. Put it on your to-go list!

Typical brunch spot. But I think it was overhyped. Scramble with chicken sausage 3/5 - it was decent and portion was good but nothing very special. It needed more flavor. Had to ask for hot sauce. Potatoes were good

I always love Bloom. A few recommendations: Cali Benedict, Avocado Toast, Chicken and Waffles. Churro french toast- basically you can't go wrong. Weekends come with a wait, but weekdays you can get right in. This last time the avocado toast was particularly chilly- would have preferred it to be a little more room temp also recommend the potatoes instead of the extra greens, if you want to change it up a bit. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and she left half the bread bc it was too much. Overall a cute place with great brunch and staff is always on top of their game.

Bloom had a lot of promising sounding options on their menu. Unfortunately, I can't say the experience was everything I had hoped. I was meeting up with folks to have brunch, and they put our names on the list for a table. It was quite the long wait. Once we were seated, service wasn't particularly good. I don't know if it was because we were outside or what, but we had to have someone go inside to ask for more water and to get boxes and the check. The food was pretty decent, but the service issues kind of killed the mood. And if that wasn't enough, they do one of the most irritating things a restaurant can do. They automatically charge gratuity AND they put suggestions for a SECOND tip at the bottom where people are used to seeing helpful calculations for tipping. Feels manipulative. Not cool.

    Chicken Pesto Sandwich
    Angelica O.

Disclaimer: I ordered takeout Overall, I would say to give this place a try. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with no tomato and it came with a pretty decent portion of garlic fries (which I loved because it's lowkey sort of hard to come by good garlic fries these days) as well as a house salad. I feel like what would really take my take out experience from a 3 star to a 5 star review would be if they would have packaged the salad separate from the sandwich and fries. Everything was so flavorful and portioning was good, however, it was hard to enjoy it fully because the salad made the sandwich bread soggy and the entire bottom layer of fry's were also too soggy to enjoy. This is pretty disappointing considering I spent close to $30 on the food here and didn't even receive any sort of service since I took it away. Also I ate the food around 10 to 15 after it being ready and can't imagine if I would have waited any longer how much the quality would've diminished. With this being said a pro tip would ask to have the salad placed in a separate container until they address this.

Came to Bloom for the second time recently, after coming years ago and trying a bunch of the most popular items from their menu. Food was solid then and is still solid now. The first time I tried the pulled pork bene, chicken and waffles, and croissant french toast, I liked all with the croissant french toast being my favorite because I'm a sucker for french toast. This time we got the California Bene and Steak & Eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, the California bene was pretty messy and hard to share, but it was loaded up with bacon and avocado. Each meal came with duck fat potatoes, which were really good. Portions are very large, we left super full and ended up taking home a lot of the potatoes. It gets really crowded, so come early or prepare to wait. We arrived shortly after they opened and got a seat no problem, but by the time we were done around 9:15am on a Saturday, there was already a wait. The first time I came was a weekday afternoon, and it was even packed then. The one downside other than the wait is that because it's crowded, it is very loud. It's not a very relaxing dining experience, but brunch often isn't.

(However, people watching is so much fun when sitting outside!) Cosme was our fabulous server who shared the daily specials with us. I asked him which I should choose, the Ahi Tuna BLT, $26, or the Nicoise Salad, $31. He recommended the BLT! Two friends decided to share the Wester Ross Scottish Salmon, $36, and our other friend ordered her favorite Nicoise salad, $31. My Ahi Tuna BLT was a sight to behold! This sourdough sandwich was crunchy on the outside and multi-layered with sliced ahi tuna, bacon, avocado, tomato, butter lettuce and a horseradish aioli, on the inside, and served with a side of thin and crispy French fries! The portion size was so big that I could only eat half the sandwich! I really like bang-for-my-buck, and I definitely got it with this entree! The fries were perfection, salty and crispy! My friend who always ordered the Nicoise salad when she dines here, totally cleaned her plate. This salad was another showstopper. It was almost too pretty to eat! The two friends who shared the salmon entree were not as impressed. They both thought the salmon was a tad dry when Cosme explained it should be served medium. One friend thought the cauliflower puree base helped to compensate a little for the dryness of the salmon, but the other friend chose to share her displeasure with Cosme, who apologized, then relayed the message to the chef. Shortly after, Cosme offered to have another salmon cooked, which my friends agreed to. Then Left Bank's general manager, Jessica, came over to ask how we were enjoying our meal. Jessica kindly heard their comments regarding the salmon (and the price for a small serving...no bang-for-your-buck with the salmon...) and offered to have another salmon served up for them. (We told her that Cosme had already arranged for that.) She assured she would inspect the next serving before it was presented. It came out looking even more beautiful and enticing then the first plating, and happily the cook and texture was perfect the second time around! I was surprised with a birthday plate of ice cream decorated with raspberries, a chocolate leaf, and yummy crushed wafers, compliments of Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, Cosme, and your staff for your epic customer service. We will definitely return again soon! I also used my InKind app to pay for my meal. I was able to redeem my InKind reward to pay a portion of my lunch!

The third appetizer never came out at all, and by the time we realized it had been forgotten, we were so over the experience that we decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. It's disappointing because I really wanted to like it this time around. The location is great, the atmosphere is pleasant, and I was hoping my experience would be different after all these years. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

Me and my co worker did the happy hour in the front which is Still OG…read more This place is for those that dig the vinyl era because they play the albums and place the cover in front of the turntable. The drinks are named after actual songs which is which is cool. I really enjoyed the So fresh So clean which was refreshing and not so sweet. Each drink is made with fresh ingredients. Their food menu is small but still has enough to choose from to snack on. The bartenders are knowledgeable about the drinks they serve and willing to help you pick the best drink for your taste. We did not get a chance to try the Alter Ego which is behind the curtain but next time.

Wow, I don't think I've written a review of a bar/lounge in like 10 years lol. Aging + having a kid…read morewill do that to you. Anyway, I met up with some friends here last weekend and we had a reservation at Alter Ego. I guess it's technically 2 places with Still OG. I have to say, I have really fond memories of Original Gravity from back in the day (ah, the days of my youth...) so it's nice that it's still sort of around though.. technically completely different since there's no more craft beer or duck fat fries lol. We hung out at our table for the whole night, like 4 hours. We all ordered cocktails off the menu and later on ordered some stuff off the menu based on the bartender's suggestion. I first ordered a Calabrian Spritz from the menu which hit the spot for me. Personally, I am not a hard alcohol fan but I enjoy wine and fun lil cocktails that are slightly sweet/not super strong lol. So this drink was nice because it wasn't too sweet and had a lot of volume (I like just sipping on stuff in general and it sucks when you order a cocktail that's like 3 sips of liquid and the rest is ice). The next cocktail I ordered was off the menu and called Like This or That (I think). I think it was some sort of passionfruit + vodka mix and very delicious! We also ordered the cold soba noodles and fries. Fries were crinkle cut and nicely crispy, no complaints. Soba noodles were also good, though some component of it was really spicy, I think the cucumbers. Overall I had a good time here and look forward to coming back, though given how little I go out, who knows when that will be haha.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in San Jose. The food is always excellent, and their cocktails…read moreare delightful. I have never once been disappointed with a dish, and I love trying new dishes on their menu. The staff is awesome, and the place has a cool astehtic vibe. I highly recommend, just know that it is a bit pricey but the experience is totally worth it. P.S. they give you palate cleaners snack in between courses for free. I had hibiscus herbal tea and and an adorable mini waffle cone, filled with crème fraîche, and topped with caviar (honestly never thought I'd like caviar before trying out this place for the first time).

A solid 4 star, approaching 4.5 star…read more We had a birthday dinner celebration this Saturday night. The fact that the restaurant is in the heart of San Jose downtown poses pros and cons. It is a great place for bar crawlers and party goers, but in the day where we ran into a Sharks game, a $25 parking fee is an unavoidable loss. Eos & Nyx is big and pretty, it's hard to miss. The huge glass walls, green plants inside that reminds you of RH Roof are pleasant. The bars are beautiful, the tables are set elegantly. We were seated upstairs, the only thing I wish was a restroom upstairs, but the bar there was beautiful and we had less traffic, which was nice. I also like that each of the restroom stall has its own sink and paper towels. All they missed is a mirror, which was covered in the public areas of the restroom. Service was good. Upon checking in, we were warmly greeted by the hosts and the farewell was also proper. Brian took good care of us; introducing the menu, refilling water, small talks, clearing dirty dishes and replacing them before the next entree, everything is a check mark done right. I also got a card signed by the team to wish a happy birthday. Through and through, they presented the birthday wish warm and well. As for food, I like the options on the menu. Plenty of sharable choices, big plates for pasta, meat, pizza and also lots of drink choices. Even 0 proof has some fancy options. We ordered Hamachi Crudo, Leafy Things (Spinach / endive / strawberry / halloumi / pecans), and Scallops (Hokkaido scallops / legumes / wasabi / turnip / gremolata) from Sharable. Then we followed Brian's recommendation and picked Rigatoni (Short rib ragu / pecorino romano / peas / carrot) and N.Y. Strip 12 Oz (Celeriac espuma / black garlic / bone marrow reduction) for entrees. We wrapped it up with a Tahini & Caramel ice cream for dessert. The Hamachi Crudo tasted fresh and it has avocado mesh but a tad too much lemon juice for me. The Leafy Things was huge, but I think they replaced the spinach with cabbage and it was a tad too bitter. The chunky grilled halloumi cheese was a hit for the kid. The Scallops were pan-fried well, I didn't like the tangerine wedges in the dish and the wasabi was a bit too subtle. Our favorite was the Rigatoni, good balance of short ribs, el dente pasta and the right portion to share. We were disappointed at the NY Strip. It was sliced out for us, which was convenient, but I tasted some soft bones on the outskirt and the kid complained it was burned; maybe the charcoal flavor was too strong. What I didn't like the most was the unevenness of the sauce. Some bites we had a strong spicy kick while some bites were mild. This made the sweet potato puree tasted excellent. The ice cream was ok, nothing to write home about, in comparison, I prefer vanilla more as the tahini and caramel were too grounded and lacking that distinct piercing hard to forget aroma. In between dishes they brought in refreshments to cleanse our palates. I like the cucumber water, but both were pretty good. We also ordered a glass of Syrah which was good, blended well with the food and a glass of Mount Vesuvius (Santa teresa 1796 rum / passionfruit / pineapple / coconut / strawberry). The Mount Vesuvius tasted very sweet, just like pina colada. All and all, we enjoyed the night and left with an overstuffed stomach. I would do a girls night here as well, which is what the ambiance calls for.
