Came for brunch on a very busy Sunday & stood outside waiting to dine in for only about 10 mins. Which was a surprise due to how busy they were! Upon entering, we were sat at beautiful bar area & greeted almost immediately. The decor inside is stunning & the entire restaurant was very bright. We ordered the Bloom Burger & Chicken & Waffles & enjoyed some racing on the bar TV while we waited for our meals. When our meals arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with how full my plate was with a massive burger, fries, & salad. Both meals were delicious & hit the spot for us. The bartenders made sure to check in when they could & keep our waters filled. Overall, we had a great experience & will be back to try more items!
My go-to brunch spot. Not open 7 days a week, make sure you check the days and hours! Holy moly--the Benedicts are absolutely delicious! Fresh OJ, killer bacon--it's always a 5/5 for food and service. A little on the small side, so plan ahead! Easy parking. Charming, delicious, and consistent!
I've had this booked for ages and finally got a chance to try this when visiting SJ. I heard the wait times can get crazy but I went when on a weekday so we walked right in and got seated. So many delicious menu options and I got their Blooms breakfast burrito which was absolutely loaded with marinated flank steak, scrambled eggs, grilled red onions, crispy potatoes, roasted chilies, fresh avocado and cheddar-jack cheese blend. The burrito was huge and the leftovers were almost enough for another meal. It was really good and hearty. All the ingredients tasted very fresh, the steak was a bit chewy but other than that it was good. Service was also fast and the waitress checked up on us a lot. Highly recommend for your next brunch spot or outing with the family.
Easy to find parking in a Lucky Supermarket plaza. It gets busy for a Sunday brunch but I arrived around 11am and the wait was 35 minutes which surprised me at first but after dining here I can see why the wait is considerably shorter than other weekend brunch spots. The menu is very straightforward but still lots of options with good descriptions. The service is spectacular and quick. I was surprised to see our food out quick but still hot. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor but the clean up between groups is also very efficient from what I saw. Food portions and taste is also very good! The jumbo crab bene gives such generous portion of crab making it worth it.
Early bird came to this popular place finally. At 805 the restaurant is already half full. We took a glance at their fresh ingredients and debating what to order. Finally all doesn't disappoint us. We especially like the tartine as it's both crispy and soft. The Britto is also a good choice with stakes and veggies. This place feels so alive. You can choose to sit at either the inside or outside. Doesn't matter as you'll always feel a fresh smell of weekend morning.
You can expect a wait here anytime of the day. This is a great spot to come for brunch with your friends, family or colleagues. Everything we ordered was well presented and tasted just as good. The crispy French toast-style dish was perfectly golden and delicious, while the chilaquiles were loaded with fresh toppings, creamy avocado, eggs, and plenty of flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I would definitely come back here to try other dishes.
Second location that we've tried. Same menu, but the food is pretty consistent at this location as well. Love that chicken and churro waffles. Trying to Philly sandwich for the first time and it was OK. Still like their bacon and brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The crab Benedict is always a good one to go to as well. But definitely recommend this location if you're in the area plenty of seating inside and out. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Definitely a brunch place we're gonna keep coming back to. Incredibly tasty food. Fresh, flavorful and primo ingredients. Magnificent food presentation and lively atmosphere with prompt and pleasant service. Put it on your to-go list!
Typical brunch spot. But I think it was overhyped. Scramble with chicken sausage 3/5 - it was decent and portion was good but nothing very special. It needed more flavor. Had to ask for hot sauce. Potatoes were good
I always love Bloom. A few recommendations: Cali Benedict, Avocado Toast, Chicken and Waffles. Churro french toast- basically you can't go wrong. Weekends come with a wait, but weekdays you can get right in. This last time the avocado toast was particularly chilly- would have preferred it to be a little more room temp also recommend the potatoes instead of the extra greens, if you want to change it up a bit. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and she left half the bread bc it was too much. Overall a cute place with great brunch and staff is always on top of their game.
Bloom had a lot of promising sounding options on their menu. Unfortunately, I can't say the experience was everything I had hoped. I was meeting up with folks to have brunch, and they put our names on the list for a table. It was quite the long wait. Once we were seated, service wasn't particularly good. I don't know if it was because we were outside or what, but we had to have someone go inside to ask for more water and to get boxes and the check. The food was pretty decent, but the service issues kind of killed the mood. And if that wasn't enough, they do one of the most irritating things a restaurant can do. They automatically charge gratuity AND they put suggestions for a SECOND tip at the bottom where people are used to seeing helpful calculations for tipping. Feels manipulative. Not cool.
Disclaimer: I ordered takeout Overall, I would say to give this place a try. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with no tomato and it came with a pretty decent portion of garlic fries (which I loved because it's lowkey sort of hard to come by good garlic fries these days) as well as a house salad. I feel like what would really take my take out experience from a 3 star to a 5 star review would be if they would have packaged the salad separate from the sandwich and fries. Everything was so flavorful and portioning was good, however, it was hard to enjoy it fully because the salad made the sandwich bread soggy and the entire bottom layer of fry's were also too soggy to enjoy. This is pretty disappointing considering I spent close to $30 on the food here and didn't even receive any sort of service since I took it away. Also I ate the food around 10 to 15 after it being ready and can't imagine if I would have waited any longer how much the quality would've diminished. With this being said a pro tip would ask to have the salad placed in a separate container until they address this.
Came to Bloom for the second time recently, after coming years ago and trying a bunch of the most popular items from their menu. Food was solid then and is still solid now. The first time I tried the pulled pork bene, chicken and waffles, and croissant french toast, I liked all with the croissant french toast being my favorite because I'm a sucker for french toast. This time we got the California Bene and Steak & Eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, the California bene was pretty messy and hard to share, but it was loaded up with bacon and avocado. Each meal came with duck fat potatoes, which were really good. Portions are very large, we left super full and ended up taking home a lot of the potatoes. It gets really crowded, so come early or prepare to wait. We arrived shortly after they opened and got a seat no problem, but by the time we were done around 9:15am on a Saturday, there was already a wait. The first time I came was a weekday afternoon, and it was even packed then. The one downside other than the wait is that because it's crowded, it is very loud. It's not a very relaxing dining experience, but brunch often isn't.
It was really busy when we went, but I understand the hype! I enjoyed both of the dishes that we got, the French toast croissant was delicious and so was the garden scramble. I like that there is a lot of vegetarian options, and the portions are really good. I definitely want to be back but sit inside because it looks so cute in there. read more

We stopped in for brunch after a wonderful night at the Chris Brown & Usher concert. We were told it would a 35 minute wait, however it was more like 50 minutes (without a reservation). Once we were seated, the service was great. The food came in a timely manner. Despite the tight fit of tables and busy servers, the staff maneuvered through the crowd with ease and plenty of communication. I ordered the Steak & eggs medium & soft scrambled. My steak was overcooked but the flavor was good. The duck fat garlic potatoes with spicy aeoli was delicious! My friends enjoyed their dishes as well (especially the fresh lemonade of the day -not pictured). read more
The plants were the first thing that drew me in! We stopped by early on a Tuesday morning, and it wasn't crowded at all. so different from the weekends when it gets packed. The menu is full of tempting options, and I honestly had a hard time choosing (almost walked away with three plates). I ended up with a side of bacon (four strips,) brown sugar cured with just the right amount of chili flake kick. My husband and I both ordered the steak and eggs with a side of buttermilk pancakes. Totally worth coming during the week. the pancakes were fluffy, the steak perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the potatoes... I could eat them every single day. My only downside was the seating for two. it felt a bit too close. I didn't feel comfortable talking with my husband because the couple next to us was within arm's reach. The tables are so tight that I could have easily brushed the person's shoulder beside me. I understand the space is limited given the small location, but it did make the dining experience feel a little cramped. read more

With the amount of people waiting and the hype I've seen online, I wanted there to be so much more! My stepdaughter got the chicken and waffles, and while I love a crispy waffle with fried chicken, this missed the mark. The waffle needed to be cooked a little less and maybe a little more batter into the iron because it was like eating vanilla flavored sawdust. My scramble can best be described as mid. I could have made it better at home. The positives? The potatoes were delicious and the pancake was fluffy and flavorful. Would I come back? I can't say I'm dying to try it again. I enjoyed other places more. Service and ambiance were okay, we waited a lot to get service because let's face it? The place was packed for a Saturday. So I would give them a pass for that. Our server was okay, there was no smile or friendly warmth. Other servers were walking around with a smile and warmth to them. Not that she was mean, we just didn't feel welcomed. Overall, price and service don't match up to the hype. read more
Since I can't eat pork, most of the times I have to avoid breakfast burritos but was pleasantly surprised theirs was steak. By far one of the BEST breakfast burritos I have ever had. The eggs were fluffy and the steak was perfectly tender. The salsas they give on the side also really complement it well. I also ordered a side of the potatoes and that duck fat really makes a difference cause I had no idea why they tasted so dang good and then on the receipt noticed why lol. It's a great place to grab brunch at and a fun environment to be in. Made the start to Super Bowl weekend really nice! read more

This place is a gem of a breakfast/brunch place! We ended up having Irish coffees, and ordered the breakfast burrito (I added sausage to it and it was fire!) and the garden scramble. The service was beyond incredible and the gentleman waiting for us was very attentive and constantly checking in on us in the perfect time intervals. The ambiance was amazing with great modern decor with a nice vibe with everyone around chatting and having a good time. We will definitely be coming back for another round for sure here sooner over later! read more

Came back and it was still as good as I remembered! Steak and eggs is a must try! Also had the palomina drink which was very refreshing but I wish they had chamoy. Would absolutely recommend but be prepared to wait since the line is long. Once you're in though service is quick and friendly and everyone is very kind. Always a good vibe! read more
Randomly found this brunch place on Yelp. This place was easy to find and there's a parking lot. We were greeted immediately and given a few options for seating. The decor is really cute- lush plants hanging from the ceiling, a rose on each table and beautifully tiled walls. My little one and I got a hot chocolate and freshly squeezed OJ. Both were delicious. For our entree, we got the churro waffles and Sweet Potato Shishito Hash. They both looked amazing and portions are huge. The waffles were dressed with powdered sugar, a caramel drizzle and fresh berries. The waffles were a bit firm, but flavor was great. We only ate 25% of it. Surprisingly the Sweet Potato Shishito Hash was REALLY GOOD. The corned beef hash was mixed with sweet potatoes, sweet shishito peppers and caramelized onions with a side of their yummy potatoes (or fresh fruit), 2 eggs and toast! Will definitely come back to try other dishes. Service was wonderful. read more
Busy Sunday morning, we came over and placed our name on the list. The table was ready in the quoted time. The staff here is very friendly. The host was great, getting everyone on the list efficiently, helping staff clear tables and getting the guests seated. He wasn't Spanish speaking but was even helping a Spanish speaking customer to his best ability. And good job!! We sat down and were greeted by our server. Asked for some recommendations as this was my first time here. And, I should have listened!!! She recommended the chilaquiles and French toast. Well, we got the Chilaquiles - GET THEM. They are simple, but fresh and full of flavor. Get some bacon or carne if you want it with meat. We also ordered chicken and waffles - everyone was getting it and was looking delicious. But chicken n waffles is sooo hit or miss. This was a miss for me. The waffles tasted artificial or like a mix (I think too much vanilla extract can cause this). The chicken had no flavor and was overcooked. The honey they drizzle over was delicious but didn't make it better. Overall great time and we will be back again. Still thinking about the Chilaquiles....... read more
The Breakfast Burrito was very tasteful, the marinated flank steak was fairly juicy in the burrito! The staff were very quick to help our party get seated and was able to get our orders in asap. The ambiance was very lively, which is a great place to socialize with friends and family while eating some scrumptious food! The Chicken & Waffles although was a little too sweet for my liking, but the waffles were quite fluffy. read more

First timers. Had 3 delicious entrees - Green chilaquiles, Jumbo Crab Bene and the a chicken and Waffles. Personally, I needed a little extra sauce for the chilaquiles, HOWEVER taste was great! Chicken and waffles were perfectly cooked. Waffles were sweet on their own. Would have preferred a little less maple syrup. Can't comment too much on the crab Benedict but was told it was also worth getting. Crab didn't taste like imitation so that's an extra plus. Coffee was like a diner style so kind of mid. Orange juice was freshly squeeze, wish it were chilled. Regardless, our servers was excellent. On top of it, not once did we have to waive her down. She anticipated. It was packed so we waited a bit but honestly considering how packed it was we got a table in moderate time. The ambiance was probably my favorite considering whoever had the playlist that day was playing my music! So overall great place. I will be coming back! read more

This is now the third time I've been to Bloom and I'm still very happy with the food and service here. My friend and I took a half day to do a book store tour around the area. To begin our adventure, I took her to Bloom for brunch before we headed out. She had never been before so she was excited to try out the food. She loved the interior of the restaurant with the lighting fixtures and the plants. She couldn't stop looking around. She is vegan and there are some vegan options available. I think if you couldn't find something, if you talk to our server, they'd be more than happy to help. We ordered brussels sprouts (SO CRISPY AND TASTY), she got a beet salad, and I had the chicken and waffles again. We also ordered a round of mimosas. We had a great time and since it was a weekday, we didn't have to wait for a table. read more
Bloom is an easy win for brunch. The food's fresh, flavorful, and actually looks as good as it tastes. The space feels warm and modern without trying too hard, and the service is genuinely nice. Great spot for a relaxed hang or a low-key celebration. read more

Food was averaged compared to the wait time we had to ho through to be seated. We were told 30 minutes to be seated but ended up waiting for an hour! Ambiance is nice but still not worth the waiting time if say. read more

Went with a group of 12 for Sunday brunch. The wait was over an hour, and we had to sit at separate tables since they couldn't accommodate a large group, which was understandable. The ambiance was quite noisy and crowded, likely due to the Sunday brunch rush--weekdays might be a better experience. The food was average overall. We ordered the chilaquiles, which didn't stand out, and the croissant French toast, which we enjoyed. The garlic fries were the highlight and were really good. read more

Cute brunch spot! Very crowded on a Sunday morning so plan accordingly. The food was delicious and very filling. I tried the croissant French toast which was accompanied by whipped cream and fresh fruit. My partner had the chorizo bene which was very hearty and had great flavor. Food is a little on the pricy end with coffee $6 a pop. They did give us to go coffee when asked. A very pleasant experience and would recommend! read more
This place is absolutely delicious! The first time I came here, I got the crab Benedict and it was so good! However, I think they put horseradish in it and that was good for me but I know it's not for everyone. This second time, I shared the bacon croissant sandwich and we demolished that! It was so flavorful and so flakey. We also shared the chicken apple sausage scramble and that was good. Their house potatoes are so crispy with garlic! I've never had better house potatoes. The service is fast and the servers are nice. I've gone on a Wednesday and Friday and both times, the place was packed! read more
This restaurant is located in a strip mall with ample parking. I arrived on a Wednesday at 11:30 am and the place was packed. I sat at the counter and was greeted immediately. I ordered the crab cake Benedict with potatoes. The Benedict had a lot of crab and the egg was cooked perfectly. The amount of Dijon mustard was too much for my liking but the potatoes were delicious. Since the restaurant was busy, it was pretty loud. There is some outdoor seating so if noise isn't your jam, there's an alternative read more
I swung by Bloom for the first time today around brunch time. We were inclined to go due to the great reviews. My husband is gluten free so we thought since it's a modern, popular spot they would have good gf options. The only thing the server said he could eat was salad. He ended up ordering just eggs and bacon as those are generally safe items. I ordered the sweet potato shishito hash. It was pretty oily/greasy. The flavors were just okay. The house potatoes were doused in oil and LOTS of garlic. My favorite part of my meal were my scrambled eggs and the toast with jam. The inside is really modern, clean and cute; however, the food doesn't hit the mark for us. I can only imagine how busy it gets during the weekend and in my opinion, it's not worth it. Not sure I'll be giving this place a try again... read more

Had been wanting to try Bloom for quite some time, however the initial experience did not meet the high expectations. While it wasn't bad, it wasn't mind blowing. We all got different breakfast items and the theme was "too much salt"/ sadly I couldn't even finish my meal. The presentation was beautiful, decor awing but the food left much to be desired. Out server attentive however the price point was pretty high for the quality. Side note: large party tax applies at this establishment (we were a party of 5). I would give them another try for a lunch/dinner or cocktail hour as this might be their strong point. read more

Ambiance was very cute!! Bloom, I will definitely be back!! If you're in the area, Bloom is 10/10 read more

Great brunch spot! Like most good brunch places, it can get very busy on the weekends. We showed up around 11:30 and waited around 45 minutes for a table of 2. It's a cute and casual spot and I'd definitely add it to my regular brunch rotation so I can try some more things! For the food, we ordered the california bene and the beet salad. Both were super tasty and exactly as expected. The duck fat potatoes were a little disappointing. Some of the pieces were good, but a lot of them felt a little hard/undercooked. I also ordered the butterfly lemonade and loved it! The presentation is so nice and it comes with a little vial of butterfly tea syrup that you add in yourself! As you pour in the syrup and mix, you watch the color change from blue to pink! Very fun experience and ended up being a great drink. read more
Great food! We had the egg croissant sandwich with spinach (maybe a special -- hard to tell if that was not the same as the regular menu item), and the pancakes, as well as a side of the house potatoes (vegetarian version with olive oil instead of duck fat). All excellent. I especially liked the house potatoes. Lots of garlic. The hot chocolate was quite chocolatey. My wife liked the cocktail (see photo). Definitely going back. read more

Yes there are options on the menu and you can always ask your server for subs.
Is there an online waitlist that you can join before you get there?
No , Only once you are There "
Do you have reservations or is it first come first serve using a waitlist?

Online says they're open Saturdays, just got here and it's closed. Is this place still in business?
Yes we had to close for the weekend due to a family emergency
