TLDR : Good food, amazing drinks and nice service Visited Fitoor a couple of times and have had different experiences both times. On a weekend with family - enjoyed the drinks and their Indianized version of traditional cocktails was really amazing. The food was soo good. On a weekday with colleagues - the drinks were not available as they ran out of the mixtures. Food still tasted good.
Great promotion on trying something's fancy -- delicate Indian restaurant at Santana row. Walked in without reservation around 11:30am, about 5 tables occupied. The inside looks contemporary . There are indoor and out door seatings. We got the September prefix menu with one appetizer and one main. Definitely the flavor and the plates hold the dishes are delicate as well. Personally I like the fish, very delicate seasoning with different layers of textures, even deep fried still combined with some taste bud fresher greens. For the chicken lollipop, love the sauce , even it was too spicy to finish, but love it, the main dishes were not outstanding from regular Indian food I had before.... And the nann is delicate with the size, the flavor and texture I personally prefer the original version , less puffy / crunchy. Definitely loved the idea of September prefix special to have a chance to try. Because of the promotion, the price is acceptable. Be aware that tips by default 22% and above , of course you can customize. The spicy level is at adult level and beyond mine, so not recommended for family with little kids . But great place to try delicate Indian food here.

Not sure how I hadn't heard of this place until recently, but I'm really glad I finally did. I'd say this is one of my favorite Indian spots. First off, definitely not for the spice-averse lol. Everything had a solid level of heat, but in a really flavorful way rather than just being spicy for the sake of it. The food was also plated beautifully, which made the whole experience feel a bit more elevated even though it still worked perfectly as a casual lunch spot. Service was great too - our waitress had solid recommendations and helped guide us toward a good mix of dishes (especially when it came to estimating portion sizes vs number of people in our party). No wait, smooth experience, and just a really nice, relaxed lunch vibe. The Water Chestnut and Green Pea Kulcha was my fave! Everything we ordered was delicious, and it's the kind of place I'd happily return to just to work my way through more of the menu.

Visited with my hubby for the Taste of Santano Row lunch special. It was truly a tasting menu as the portions are small and meant for you to try dishes from the menu. It's a small menu also - 3-4 options for appetizer and same for the main entrée. And it came with your choice of naan or rice. I was stuffed and plenty of food for me. But the hubby had to have second lunch. Hahaha, mileage may vary. Also the menu online was slightly different to what they actual offered at the restaurant. So I had my heart set on something after perusing the menu online but had to settle for something else. We ended up with the amrithsari fish and methi mattar malai paneer tikka for the appetizers and the butter chicken and the almond crusted malai kofta for the entrees. And we tried both the regular naan and the garlic naan. I would say my favorite thing of the whole meal was the fried fish. Hot and crispy and flaky white fish. The butter chicken was flavorful but pretty standard and I feel like you could get this at all and any Indian restaurant. The paneer was really pretty on the plate. We were slightly disappointed by the malai kofta. It was literally just one ball on a small plate of sauce. The service was great. Not too busy on a weekday for lunch and we were out of there quickly.
Came here on a weekend, mainly because we accidentally missed our baekjong reservation, and it was pretty empty... a little sad, but wanted to give it a try anyways. They're in santana row, so the usual cute pretty aesthetic. We ate on their outdoor seating. We got the butter chicken, lamb shank and two cocktails. The food tasted pretty good, and we actually weren't able to finish it. Service was good, not too overbearing, which some places can get when there's no one else.
Another visit, visit after visit consistent experience-- Top notch hospitality, food and drinks! I keep coming back to this place and bring friends and family here, chef Vaibhav is amazing, the manager Prashant so warm and welcoming & the head bar tender Siddhant makes amazing gin based drinks.

Great service, we were quickly seated on a Friday evening and were attended to very well. Food was flavorful, though not very spicy. The muntha masala chaat- innovative, delicious, great flavors all round. Beautiful presentation. Great brightness from the chutney combined with the sweet, earthy ,creamy flavors from the pea mash. Cheese naan- great molten cheese with buttery soft interior, wonderfully crispy exterior. Daal Makhani- deep rich flavor, nice hit of smoky flavor with every bite Lamb- fall off the bone lamb, very rich and tasty. But very spiced though, a little lacking compared to other dishes Almond Crusted Malai Kofta-rich tomato flavor in the curry. Wonderful texture, great bite. Perfect level of acidity to pair with the decadent silky smooth curry. Rabdi Cheesecake- decadent and not too sweet. Beautiful presentation. Saffron flavor doesn't really come through. enough though.

Fitoor is the place for modern Indian cuisine with a twist. The Asado Brazino was delicious, I really like the fried potato crisps on top, it gave the dish a nice texture. The Tandoori Green Garlic Prawns was cooked perfectly and the Butter Chicken was very flavorful and goes well with the Saffron Rice and Garlic Naan. I forgot the name of the dessert, but it was good and I like the rose ice cream on the side
Ridiculous bad Indian food at crazy prices. The worst dabeli, dahi kebab you can have. Bland and tasteless. Paid 120 for 2 starters, 1 curry and 2 naan. The atmosphere is crazy dark. They don't even carry saunf. There is no fusion food here. Just below average Indian food. And they charge you auto gratuity even if 1 person dines, but don't tell you about it ahead of time as they are required to do by law.

Fitoor won me over with the food alone. The almond crusted malai kofta was incredible, and the branzino was genuinely one of the best I've ever had. High bar, fully cleared. The cocktails though... I don't know what was going on there. Mine tasted like rasam on ice with vodka -- which sounds like a dare, not a drink. Disgusting combo. Stick to the food and you'll be fine. Service was lovely and they surprised my boyfriend with a little birthday ice cream which was a sweet touch. And it was an overall cute restaurant (which lacked good AC on a hot day) read more

Fitoor is tucked away on Olsen Ave and could easily be missed as it's not in the populated area of Santana Row. It's directly across from Mendocino Farms and a few doors down from Peet's and Zazil Cocina. The decor inside is a vibe. I love the wood slat ceiling design the most. Modern yet warm. Overall, 4.5 stars rounded to 5 stars for food and ambiance. I made reservations for a table for 4 for dinner on New Year's Day. Upon arrival, the hostess was assisting a party ahead of us and quickly tended to us, seating us shortly after. Our waitress was friendly and attentive during our visit. However, a bit more enthusiasm about the restaurant and menu would have made the experience even better. The food and drinks were delicious! We did family style and it was nice to try different plates with my party. - Strawberry Cloud mocktail - Holy Mole cocktail - Lavendar Lush cocktail - Mango Bite mocktail - Mumbai Dabeli Croquette - Malabar Paratha Quesadilla - Malvani Crab Cake & Garlic Prawns - Fitoor Butter Chicken - Chicken Dum Biryani - Four Cheese Naan - Garlic Naan My only feedback about one of the plates concerns the Crab Cake and Garlic Prawns. It featured a medium crab cake topped with tiny prawns. The sauce ratio was unbalanced, with too much. While I understand it could be eaten with side naan or rice, I would have preferred another crab cake or a larger one. parked in the parking lot across the street and walked over honestly had high expectations because of the high prices here. the vibes were giving elevated luxury vibes and the lightning is dimmed. the food was good and spicy but it wasn't anything worth raving about. nothing wowed me tbh the service was very attentive tho and took our dirty plates every time. also appreciate that our waiter asked if we have any allergies !! mumbai dabeli croquette - potato balls with spice inside. They take inKind points, so that was a plus. We got $25 off with an inKind bonus that day. Ambiance is great as its Santana Row, we ate outside. Lovely. The garlic naan was crunchy and also soft, tasty. The lamb was not the greatest and smaller portion, not enough seasoning for what we wanted. I recently tried the butter chicken and kofta here. The ambiance is definitely a highlight, the interior is beautifully done and creates a really nice dining experience. That said, the food didn't quite live up to expectations, especially for the price. The butter chicken leaned heavily on the cashew flavor, which overpowered the dish, and it was also on the saltier side. The kofta was decent. For the price point, I was expecting more balanced flavors and a better overall taste. Great atmosphere, but the food could use some improvement. read more

We had such a wonderful experience celebrating our son's birthday at Fitoor. The service and food were absolutely phenomenal. The team truly went above and beyond to make the evening extra special and memorable for our family. A special thank you to our server, Sahil, who was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect throughout the night. His kindness and attention to detail really stood out. It was so thoughtful of the entire team to help celebrate Gurbaaz--he truly appreciated it, and it meant a lot to us as parents. We had a great happy hour at Fitoor! We enjoyed the paneer, butter chicken, Old Fashioned, and martinis all were delicious. The food was flavorful, the drinks were excellent, and Sumi provided outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even better. Looking forward to coming back! read more

*3.5 STARS* This restaurant was so 50/50 on dishes I am actually averaging the rating to the middle since it's on both extremes. Food The Potato Papdi - 5/5 stars. This was the first time my girlfriend and I tried such an appetizer and really enjoyed the flavors and textures. The slices of mangos gave a sweet flavoring while the crackers lended a good crunch to the dish. The Prawn and Fish Curry - 1/5 stars but also 5/5 If this dish only had the fish, I would rate it a 5/5. The fish was very nicely cooked, tender, and had a great flavor with the curry that had a very good spice kick. For those who don't like spice, I would avoid. However the dish also had shrimp and it was some of the most fishy/ocean-y tasting shrimp I've ever had. Texture wise, the shrimp was well cooked but I just could not quite explain why the shrimp did not taste well to me, it was like taking a bite out of the ocean and not in a good way. Mango bite 12 mocktail.... 3/5?? Again, my mind was just torn because on initial taste the mango flavor was nice and pleasant but there was some type of acidic aftertaste. Not sure exactly what ingredient was causing it but maybe they were trying to replicate the slight burn of alcohol? The venue - 5/5. High end and nicely decorated. I was very excited to try this restaurant; the food looked amazing, the restaurant looked beautiful, and it even came with entertainment. So there were some high expectations. Made reservations; we were greeted and seated. The staff was kind and pleasant. We asked about the fan favorites, ordered a few appetizers and small bites, and then moved on to ordering our main. I'm a fan of Indian food, and I've tried a few places in the past. Fitoor was good, but unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. That doesn't mean the food wasn't beautifully plated or that we didn't finish it, because God knows we will eat it before we leave it, haha. I'm glad we tried it. The restaurant was beautiful. The entertainment was fun. The bathrooms were probably the cleanest and most beautiful I've seen. Overall, it's worth checking out for the experience. read more

Service is great. Ambience is calm Food is the best. Dahi kabab was so soft, so delicious, too good. The gulati, was the bestest I ever had, it melts like butter. Came to Fitoor for a team dinner and we were excited to try this modern take on Indian food! We had a reservation for a group of 10 on a Thursday night at 6pm and came a little early for the 4-6pm happy hour. When we arrived, the host was talking to a customer on the phone so we were waiting in the lobby for 5-10 minutes before being seated. We ordered a few items off the happy hour menu and then placed more orders from the main menu. I appreciated how the main menu listed the vegetarian options on one half and the non-vegetarian options on the other. Potato Papdi Chaat, Puffed Jhalmoorie (2/5): Looked tasty. The papdi added a nice crunch to the dish. However, the dish was cold and bland. Could have been spicier Avocado and Paneer Galouti (3/5): Interesting presentation! The apple salsa was tasty and I've never had something like this before. It was a good contrast to the black garlic puree. The galouti itself was very mushy. It would have been better if it was crispier or at least if there was something that added texture. The galouti could have been more flavorful as well. Figs Paneer Tikka (2/5): The paneer itself was not very flavorful but the figs were tasty. I liked the idea of figs on top of the paneer. Mumbai Dabeli Croquette (3.5/5): Similar to the potato papdi chaat in terms of ingredients but this one was better seasoned. Almond Crusted Malai Kofta (2/5): The kofta balls could have had more seasoning but these were decent. However, the gravy was too sweet. Tasted almost like a dessert Double Butter Daal Makhani (3/5): We enjoyed this a little more than the malai kofta. It was savory but it could have more spices and it was almost too buttery. Butter Naan (3/5): Good portion size but not much butter on the naan. It was somewhat dry. Shahi Tukda Tres Leches (1/5): Looked pretty but it tasted very artificial and the carrot halwa had a strange aftertaste. The bread is supposed to be toasted but it did not seem like it was. Very small portion size Malai Choux Bun (2.5/5): Similar to the tres leches, this was presented very nicely. The ice cream had a good flavor but the choux bun tasted too eggy for us. The candy and milk cubes on the side did not add to the dish either. Small portion size Boondi raita (1/5): This tasted very sour yet sweet? Did not land for any of us Embers of the Monk (1/5): Very bitter. Thought the drink would be at least a little sweet because of the passion fruit but the bitters were overpowering Mother Nature (3/5): I was very intrigued to try essentially a rasam vodka cocktail as I have never heard of this combo. The rasam itself had a nice kick to it. However, there was barely any vodka so it just felt like I was drinking iced rasam Kokum Spritz (4/5): Better drink of the night. I am not a fan of sweet and spicy mixed together, but if you like that flavor combo, you would probably like this drink. Chicken Dum Biryani (2/5): My coworkers got this and they said it was not very flavorful and that this dish was missing the layers that a traditional biryani typically has Also thought there should be some South Asian music playing in the background instead of generic American pop to match the theme and cuisine of the restaurant. Would have elevated the dining experience. Overall, the service was quick and drinks and food were aesthetic and creative. However, for the flavor, Fitoor is very expensive. 4.5 stars.. We came here for family dinner. Ambience is great and ample parking. Service was quick and food was nice too. We ordered Dahi ke kebab, Ava ado and paneer galoutti, malai kofta and daal makhani. We loved dahi kebab, galoutti and daal makhani. There was a dance performer who showed up too and added to the dinner fun! read more
