Its a new Indian restaurant. I terrors are small with about 6 tables and wait times are long. But the food all looks freshly made and tasty. I did an online pickup order and it took a really long time to get. The kitchen is very small and I think 3-4 people working. They seemed a bit confused with online orders and were just concentrating on in house food. Nevertheless, got my Kashmir biryani with nuts ultimately (45 mins after we reached there). It was very mild and different. There weren't any veggies in it. Just paneer, saffron rice and few nuts. Not what I expected or would order again but definitely want to check out their other items soon.

Cute little new Indian place in Santa Clara. If like to give it 3.5 stars. My wife and I ordered the paneer kashmir biryani with nuts via uber. They have good deals on it maybe coz the place is relatively new. Reason for my low rating is because what we primarily got was rice and paneer. Didnt taste like any biryani or pulav I've had. Pretty bland and no veggies. The other food looked good and would give it a shot again.

It's a small family owned restaurant, small and well decorated one. Parking is not that straightforward. During workdays, not that much people dine in, so you don't need to wait for table that long. This one seems more focused on take out and online delivery, instead of dine in. Food is okay and my experience there is alright.

I completely agree with Kartik's review. This was, without question, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The food was bland, disappointing, and nowhere near the quality I expected. It certainly wasn't worth the money. What made the experience even worse was discovering that the prices on the menu did not match what I was charged. The menu listed lower prices, yet my receipt shows I was charged more before tax. That feels misleading and is completely unacceptable. Customers should be able to trust that they'll pay the prices advertised. Between the poor-quality food, the inaccurate pricing, and the overall disappointing experience, I left feeling ripped off. I will never return, and I would strongly encourage others to spend their money elsewhere. There are far better Indian restaurants in the Bay Area that serve authentic, flavorful food and charge exactly what they advertise. This place deserves serious improvement before I would ever consider giving it another chance.

**USP: North Indian food, with a setup similar to a home kitchen rather than a full blown restaurant. **AMBIANCE: Restaurant is clean, new and tiny. The serve ware is homely style, the tables and chairs are full sized and comfortable. But the space they have is tiny, I m surprised they were able to squeeze around 8 tables into that space. The place looks like an office room or storage room converted to a restaurant. Not sure if it's the recent renovation or some chemical use for cleaning but the smell as soon as one enters is very strong. It took some getting used to. **FOOD: the restaurant looks like a venture of a passionate home cook. Someone who likes to put his own twist on things. The menu is huge covering a wide range of North Indian dishes both vegetarian and non vegetarian along with a handful of indo Chinese dishes. We got an array of dishes and the common theme across the board was the use of coarse ground coriander seeds. *samosa chaat-4/5- this was literal fire, very spicy though we requested for medium. I think it was the green chutney they used. Anyway, the samosas seemed freshly fried and were steaming when split open. The chole was spicy. *chole kulche-4/5- same chole from the earlier dish. The kulche looked elaborate and had the erstwhile mentioned coarse ground coriander. *vegetable fried rice-4/5- this was under their indo Chinese menu. To my surprise it came with cumin seeds and cauliflower florets. Never in my life have I had these two ingredients in an indo Chinese fried rice but whatever it was, it was delicious. I enjoyed the dish. *kadai chicken-4/5- you know how it is with home cooks who try to put their own little unique twist across dishes even though the dish originally doesn't have it? Every dish we ordered was like that. This chicken dish was not oily but had a good thick gravy. It was not restaurant style rather it was like something one would whip up at home in the quest to make something delicious and falling short in places.

My favorite spot for Indian food. Their tikka masala is the best! A lovely family owned restaurant who makes the best food with reassurance!

    Malai Kofta

Food is solid good. Indian Punjabi style soul food. We ate malai kofta, sarson ka saag, with garlic naan. Everything was delicious. Note: They have small seating area, so it can get packed.

On our most recent visit we ordered 6 food items: * the chaat was good, creatively executed * the corn seekh kebab was raw and inedible and had to be sent back. To their credit they did not charge us for that item, or the chaat * the Andhra style chili chicken came out as a glob of unrecognizable stuff, and we couldn't even tell what the white strips on top were because they were so mushy * based on the texture and smell the fish they used in the red snapper curry had been frozen at some point--one would expect them to source fresh seafood * the okra was tough and stringy, a sign that they used poor quality okra * the reshmi paratha was dripping in oil/butter, and not hot when it was served To top it all off, they let someone bring a dog into the indoor eating area. Which I'm sure is a health code violation. It seems they've started cutting corners in the kitchen, and it shows up in the product. The problem is mostly back-of-house Jashn had so much potential when they first opened, and it's disappointing that things have gone downhill. We will not be going there again.

You go to the counter, they present you with menus and tell you where to sit, then you come back up to the counter when you're ready to order. Service was welcoming and helpful. We got the lunch special, which has pre-selected items for the day. One of the items was an item i was going to order separately, but decided to switch it out when I heard it was going to be in the special. The employee helpfully offered some popular alternatives. The food was absolutely delicious! A good amount of spice and not like some of the places more local to me. (I'm from Sac.) We ordered the following: Special Lunch Thali, Pav Bhaji, and Puranpoli. The only time I could've done without was the Puranpoli. I didn't care for the flavor of the spice/sweetness, but that's just me personally. I've never had that dessert before from anywhere and knew I'd regret not having the menu item that is the same as the restaurant's name. Definitely going to be craving the food from here! Misal Pav & Vada Misal - Absolutely loved the Misal! Authentic flavor, perfect spice level, and so hearty. I especially appreciated that it wasn't just sprouted moong--there was moong, matki, yellow peas, black-eyed peas, and green peas. A true protein-packed bowl. Two thumbs up Vada Pav - Another hit! We devoured it Sabudana Vada - Crispy outside, soft inside, and just the right size. Didn't care much for the chutney though. Sabudana Khichdi - This one didn't work for me; it leaned a bit too sweet. Ukadiche Modak & Puranpoli - The stars of the meal! Highly recommend both. The modak was soft, pillowy, and melt-in-your-mouth with a great dough-to-filling balance. The Puranpoli was super soft, ultra-thin dough, and perfectly flavored stuffing--excellent in both taste and quantity Sol Kadhi - Just okay for me; not something I'd return specifically for. Kokam Sharbat - Loved it! Overall, a wonderful spot for authentic Maharashtrian flavors with warm, welcoming staff. I'd definitely come back!

I ordered the egg biryani, butter chicken, and their friday curry flight that came with the choice of 3 curries, a salad, raita, and naan. The biryani was super flavorful and not dry, and the egg paired with it well. All the curries were spicy and delicious, honestly not much more to say about it. I will say their raita is not my favorite, its just thick plain yogurt. I ordered online and I had to wait a little when I got there but that was okay. Local Pakistani artwork adorning the walls. Delicious grilled meat smells wafting around as well. ***FOOD: we got chicken 65, naan and samosa chaat sans yogurt. *chicken 65-3/5- this was almost beetroot red in color. In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor. It wasn't charred at the bottom. It was light and large. It was clear that it was made by someone who knew their craft. I will come back here just for the naan. *samosa chaat-3/5- this made me sick, I had an upset tummy for a few days after. It was hot day so I m assuming they had problems with their chutney or maybe it was the samosa with the potato filling. Upset tummy aside, the chaat flavors were decent, not the best of the lot but decent nonetheless.

First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!
