I have been here long time back, they are still maintaining the authenticity of the cusine. Interior are nothing notable, but the food and service takes carries this the restaurant. We started with kothimbir vadi, which are cilantro and gram flour fritters, which is maharasrian appetizer. Though fried with oil, the dish itself did not reain much oil, it was accompanied with chutney which was mild and sweet note, I would preferred a spicy chutney to go with. Misal pav we ordered with butter, which next time I will order without butter as it was too much and made the Pav heavy. Misal was good with moth peas, black eyed peas etc. Not spicy though. We had extra Misal , so we ordered bhakri which was made of rice flour, very soft and melts in mouth. Bhakri is called as Pathri in kerala and arisi rotti tamilnadu. Desert we ordered the puranpoli which was mildly sweet , indeed an indulgent.

Such a great spot! The samosas, vada pav, pav bhaji, and thali were all super flavorful, and the drinks were really refreshing. Definitely coming back

If you're craving Maharastrian food then look no further than Puranpoli. They have everything you'd crave from a traditional Maharastrian place. The misal pav was delicious but a bit spicy to my liking and the sabudana vada somehow felt a little undercooked but apart from that, everything was delicious. The service was quick, and they have ample seating too and ambience is decent. However I've heard that the place gets pretty busy. So plan accordingly.

Ambience is average for an Indian fast joint Chai Tea: (2/5) somehow the flavor of tea just didn't come through and the tea was barely lukewarm. If you're aware of the two key elements of Indian tea, they are a) flavor and b) needs to be piping hot. This fell short on both counts. Kokum sarbat (4/5): I've had kokum sarbat at Annapurna but Pooranpoli's beat it. The sarbat has a slightly more tangier/salty taste which was a tad bit more better. Misal Pav: (4.5/5) This was a hit with all of us. There's a thin line between too spicy and having a kick and Puranpoli tread that line very well. It was perfect for all three people with very different spice levels. For my wife to say "I almost wish I didn't order my other dish" is high praise! Zunka :(2.5/5) for me, Annapurna is the gold standard when it comes to Zunka bhakar. Puranpoli fell short on a number of fronts. First, the dish doesn't come with Bhakri standard, you have to order the bhkari separately. Second, I'm used to having bhakri made from bajri. At this place they make it from rice floor which makes it a bit heavy. Third, at Annapurna the Zunka Bhakri is served with a generous side of ghee. You will need to order that separately here. While the staff was kind enough to not charge me for it, it does all add up to the experience. And lastly the Zunka was a bit dry and it places, hardened enough that we couldn't break it. Puranpoli (2/5): low on salt, and comes with no condiments. Understand that one can order things on he side, but if you're serving it as a main course it needs to include at least some condiments.

Stopped by for a quick bite and walked out very happy. Ordered vada pav and sol kadhi and shoutout to the team because the service was lightning fast--food hit the table within 5 minutes of ordering. Perfect if you're hungry and short on time. The vada pav came deconstructed, with green chutney and dry garlic chutney on the side so you can assemble it your way, which I actually enjoyed. Small bummer - no sweet tamarind chutney. That said, once put together, the vada pav was flavorful and very satisfying. Now let's talk about the real star - Sol Kadhi. Absolutely mind-boggling. Cooling, balanced, and straight-up soul satisfaction. I could sip this all day. Only downside? The price for a cup felt a bit steep, but the taste almost makes you forget about it. The place itself has ample seating both indoors and outdoors, parking available on-site, and an ambience that's busy yet calm.

Just loved the food. It was amazing . Service was quick and it's a small restaurant having outdoor seating so perfect place for outdoor seating. It just gave me all flavors of my college times. Would definaltey visit again to try other food options .

We'd been meaning to try this place for a while, especially after hearing glowing reviews from friends and fellow food lovers. It's a semi self-service setup--orders are placed at the counter, and you help yourself to plates and cutlery. The food, however, is brought to your table. We sampled a variety of dishes: misal pav, sabudana khichadi, bhakari with vangi curry, modak, the signature puranpoli, and solkadhi. The standouts for us were definitely the puranpoli and the modak--both were absolutely delightful. The bhakari paired with vangi curry was flavorful and satisfying as well. On the other hand, the misal and sabudana khichadi didn't quite hit the mark for us, and the solkadhi was just average. Overall, it's a great spot for vegetarians looking to explore traditional flavors. Worth a visit for the puranpoli and modak alone!

If you're craving authentic Maharashtrian food, Puran Poli Restaurant is a must-visit! The puran poli was soft, perfectly sweet, and tasted just like homemade. You can really feel the traditional flavors in every bite. We also tried a few other dishes, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The food wasn't overly oily, and the spices were well balanced. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and family-friendly. Overall, a great place for delicious, comforting Indian food. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends!

Visited Puranpoli with my family on a Saturday around 2pm and it was fairly busy but was able to get a table immediately. You order at the counter - we got chapati with kadai paneer, chapati with bharli vangi, misal pav, vada misal, and vada pav. Then we got the kokam sharbat drink and puranpoli for dessert. All the meals were pretty tasty. My personal favorite was the kadai paneer! Good spice level and the chapatis were nice and soft. The eggplant in the bharli vangi could have been cooked for longer but my dad still enjoyed it. All the streetside snacks were small but had good flavors. The puranpoli dessert came out hot and it satisfied our sweet craving. The kokam sharbat drink was sweet and spicy so if you like that flavor combo, you would probably like this drink. That said, we all thought the quantity of food could have been bigger. The chapatis were a separate add on and they only gave two thin chapatis which was not enough for the amount of curry. Overall, Puranpoli had good, clean flavors but a little pricey considering the smaller portion sizes. Would consider coming back if nearby!

I was really excited to eat here after reading all the rave reviews, but my experience was really bad. We ordered misal pav and it turned out a very diluted dal with a heavy load of oil just basking on top of it. Just seeing it was so underwhelming but we tried to give it a chance and taste but it was only average in taste. The only good item was the poli their namesake dish. The service was also very slow, maybe we visited on the wrong day as it was Christmas. Will need to try again to be able to experience what others have posted here!!

Liked the food here, very simple and focused on food rather than ambiance. Everything tasted very flavorful and authentic! We got the pav bhaji, bharli vangi, and palak paneer with chapathis. Liked all of the dishes and tasted great as leftovers as well!! Will definitely come back when we crave Maharashtrian food.

Got take-out on a Friday evening and it was ready before the 40 min estimated wait time. Parking is in a private lot for Puranpoli only. It was pretty crowded inside. I got the puranpoli, vada pav, and pav bhaji. My favorite was the vada pav! The potato ball was so flavorful with great texture. Pav bhaji was very flavorful too. It went well with the sweet bread. Quite heavy after a while though. Puranpoli was a nice sweet treat, although I do wish I had this dining in so it'd be fresh and warm. It was still good though! Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come back, but would be open to it if it were an option nearby in the future.

We got pav bhaji, vada pav, samosa pav, palak paneer and garlic naans on our recent visit. Happy to report that they have steel utensils now. Pav bhaji was amazing. The bhaji was not too spicy, the combination with the buttered pav was heavenly. Loved it! I think it's easily one of the better if not best pav bhaji in town. Rest of the items were super disappointing though. The potato in the vada pav felt heavy and underflavored, the green chutney fell flat. The paneer in palak paneer was hard, the butter naans were brittle. The samosa was delicious but the combination with the pav felt odd and forced.

WHAT AYCE Indian food from northern and southern India: chicken, fish, lamb, vegan, appetizers, desserts (plural!). Delicious! We tried stuff that we might never order in a regular Indian restaurant. COST $25 weekdays $28 weekends is VERY REASONABLE to me for a place that has no limit on what you can consume. We went on a Friday night, no time limit for us, but if they are super crowded I can see how they might put a time limit. FOOD 10/10 I wish I took a picture of the buffet line but I didn't want to be weird. There were so many choices, and several dessert items too, including soft serve ice cream, this place is a gem. Everything was awesome! They now have a breakfast buffet too, next time I'm back in the area I'd love to try that!

Alot of display's of happy hour promotions, catering, pricing which none reflected on aspect of the business or the other (website). Friday afternoon is apparently considered a weekend buffet even though there are many business's around for a quick biz lunch. So we were charged the 'weekend buffet' pricing per person. Around $28. The buffet is on the massive side. Northern, Southern and probably a couple other regions of Indian food. It's rare I get a Indian buffet with so many options. Was happy sambar was available, medu vada, idli's. But also tried out some dishes never heard of. Upon seating we were brought both naan and dosa. Coconut and tamarind chutney was a nice surprise also. Chicken option and fish were done well. I can't remember exactly what recipe as tried a lil taste of many, but the point is they cook their meat and fish well with great flavor balance. There were a handful of goat options also. Never had a chickpea salad like they offered nor bitter gourd pickle! Loved that chickpea salad. As for the bitter gourd pickle, it was a good pickle recipe but if familiar with bitter gourd, it was 'unique'. Too full for dessert but it does exist. It's on the keeper list.

Strangely, although I had given my phone number, I never got a text message that my order was ready for pick up. However, they had estimated the time and so I left and arrived and they were just packing my order. They took the time to ask if I wanted the veggie dishes packed in a separate bag from the non-veg which I found to be very thoughtful. If you do choose to dine in, the space is simple and unprepossessing. There are some booths along the wall and tables in the room and a nice stencil of peacocks. If you care to do so, you can walk over to the counter and look into the kitchen I came home and found that all our food was hot to piping hot, still which is good. Oh! The karela was delicious. I have seen some people complain in their reviews that the non-veg thali did not have enough meat, particularly lamb. I was happy with the quantity of chicken and mutton in my order. We even had enough for leftovers for the following day. If you are a member of one of these frequent flyer dining programs, then you may find you also receive some additional points for your custom. A Solid Spot for Your Street Food Cravings :…read more This is a decent place that definitely lives up to its name, if you are craving Pav Bhaji, this is exactly where you want to be. The Food: I have to give the Pav Bhaji a solid 5 stars. They have all the options you could want to try out (like the Amul Pav Bhaji), and it hits the spot perfectly. The bhaji comes out generously topped with shredded cheese, accompanied by perfectly toasted, buttery pav, fresh diced onions, and a lime wedge. They also offer the "more" part of their namesake, which includes street food staples like Vada Pav, loaded Paneer and Veg Sandwiches (served with a great green chutney and a side of chips), and chaat. The Dahi Puri (listed as S.P.D.P.) looks great and comes beautifully topped with yogurt, sev, and fresh pomegranate seeds. You can also wash everything down with some authentic Amruttulya chai or a refreshing glass of chaas. The interior is casual, clean, and has plenty of seating, making it a great spot for a quick bite. However, true to its name, the menu doesn't stretch much further beyond these specific street food staples. If you are looking for an expansive, full-course menu, you won't find it here. Overall: 5 stars for the Pav Bhaji, but giving it a solid 4 stars overall for the rest of the items and the limited menu scope. Definitely worth a stop when that specific craving hits!
