Really solid unlimited thali. The starters set the tone right away fresh, well-spiced, and they keep them coming. But the curries are the real highlight: properly layered flavors, not the one-note oily gravies you get at a lot of thali places. Everything tasted homestyle in the best way. Generous portions, friendly staff, and good value for what you get. Would happily come back.

Had lunch here with my husband for the first time. When we first walked in the place was empty and we almost went to Komala Villas instead. After stopping by Komala my husband said let's just try this spot and I am glad we did. A few minutes after we started eating the restaurant got busy and soon there was even a line at the door. It's a smaller spot compared to Komala but it feels more like a restaurant than a cafeteria. We went for the all you can eat thali which came with an appetizer, a yogurt drink and three desserts. Everything was tasty. The staff was super attentive and kept coming around with more food so you never had to flag anyone down. Our bill was a little over fifty before tip which comes out to about twenty six each. A bit pricey for vegetarian thali but we were happy with the food and will definitely come back to try the Gujarati thali on Friday.

I've been here a few times for lunch and it's good if you like variety in thali. It's always crowded but there's lots of tables inside so I haven't had to wait much. The service is pretty good and the servers check to see what you need very often. The pani puri that was there the recent time I went was a nice addition and tasted great too. The paneer here is consistently good as well.

We have been looking for a place with a good dinner thali since our place closed a few years ago. On our first visit this place is filling the bill pretty well. The night of our visit it was the Gujarati thali. A good variety of dishes as you can see from the pictures. They also bring you a glass of cumin, infused buttermilk, and a selection of bread: Roti, Poori, paratha. Indian vegetarian has become fabulously expensive considering the cost of ingredients, but this place has a bucket brigade to keep your plates full until you are full. And the flavors were pretty good. Eating out is more expensive generally so this place it's no worse than others and the all-you-can-eat aspect means you don't have to leave hungry

Amazing food! For a thali I think the roti matters a lot and this place makes the best! The accompanying curries and all the sides have distinct flavors so it's enjoyable throughout the meal. I like that the portions they serve are moderate so food waste can be limited. They are generous with refills so if you want something more you can get it. I also like that they rotate the menu so any day you come there is most likely something new to try. I can vouch for their rajbhog and marathi thali. Really enjoyable tasty satisfying food.

Had dinner at Rajbhog Thali in Sunnyvale today with friends (group of 7). We were there around 7:30 pm and did not have to wait to get seated. Water and chaas (buttermilk) were served immediately. Our thalis came within 10 minutes. Today's menu was Rajbhog thali. See attached pictures. The food was very delicious. It did not feel very heavy, or oily, or very spicy. The phulkas and pooris very nice and soft. All the curries were very delicious. Desserts ( sooji halwa, gulab jamun with rabdi) were good too. Only thing I felt different was that rabdi did not feel like rabdi, felt more like custard or butter cream. Service was very prompt and courteous. The staff were very polite and nice. The refills were very prompt. The manager, Raj, paid close attention to our group and answered all our questions. Will definitely go back to try their Gujarati and Rajasthani thalis.

    Sunday Punjabi thali

Excellent food! I hope it's not just a flash in the pan as with most of the Indian restaurants these days and they maintain this quality. We went on a Sunday when they had Punjabi thali. The thali variety changes based on the day of the week. It costed us around ~$20 for adults and ~$10 for kids. The restaurant was packed, this is always a good sign! It took more than 10 minutes to get our thali after being seated. They served tiny sampling quantities of each variety on the thali. This is a great move as it avoids food wastage. We can always request more of anything we like as it's unlimited. Appetizers: 5/5- chole tikki and bread pakora. Pakoda was surprisingly delectable and not too heavy or oily, it was still pretty large though and I did not complete mine. Chole tikki was amazing, easily comparable to some of the other popular chaat restaurants in the bayarea. Special- 5/5- Makki di roti and sarson ka saag. This was one of the best dishes on the thali, the sarson ka saag was greasy but very delicious. Almost everyone at our table got a double serving of this. Other veggies- 5/5- kurkure bhindi was essentially okra fritters. A teeny bit salty but very crispy and delicious. Dessert-5/5- carrot halwa and shahi tukda. The shahi tukda was too sweet for my liking but the carrot halwa was another story. I never eat dessert, I sample it when someone tells me it's good. But, I finished this one clean. Rest at my table got a double serving as well. It was the best carrot halwa I had! Not too sweet, perfect balance of all elements. Rest of the stuff- we also got paneer curry, kaddu, dal, kadhi, plain rice, vegetable biryani, raita, salad, puri, roti etc. Biryani was a bit overdosed with spices but the rest were all decent. Place is apparently owned by India Cash and Carry which is right next door. Most of the customers from the Indian store seem to be making a beeline to this place after their shopping.

We decided to try this place after hearing from friends Service (3.5/5) : pretty much what you'd expect from any Indian place. Nothing above or below expectations. Ambience: also hat you'd expect from the average Indian restaurant Food: they have a different cuisine thali everyday. Saturday was Rajasthani Thali when we went. Taste was ok - a few hits and a few misses. Gatte ki subzi, nargisi kofte and beans ki subzi were great. Churma on the other hand - way too sweet. There are other better thali restaurants like Thali and Rajwadi, but perhaps try the another day..?

Had an amazing meal today! The restaurant opened recently and they serve a different thali each day of the week. Today they gave the "Rajbhog Thali", their house special. We were first offered buttermilk. The thali came with 6 different curries, 2 desserts and couple of appetizers. The pakoda needs a special mention. It was perfectly crispy. One of the desserts was puran, it tasted heavenly. The curries were all tasty and they are on the milder side. Unlimited rotis and methi poori were served fresh, so soft! Coming back to try their other thalis.

    Rajasthani thali on weekend
    Radha T.

Went there on a weekend, wait time wasn't as bad considering weekend , approximately 20mins. Ambience was typical Indian restaurant in Sunnyvale, nothing special about that . They were serving Rajasthani thali that day . Sabjis were okay, service was good . Best thing was garam garam fulkas and bhakri. It's a decent thali to try but nothing extraordinary about it . Definitely had a food coma after it ! Food : 3.5/5

The sindhi thali was very good. Very homely and simple. They do have ala carte as well.

We visited on a Friday and had the Gujarati thali. The food was amazing and all the dishes were well balanced as expected in a thali. The service was great as well, they did multiple rounds for all the dishes including desserts as well. No reservations are needed and they are quick in their service as well. Looking forward to try different thalis on other days.

    Daily changing menu

Hot new UNLIMITED thali spot in Sunnyvale! They just opened up in December and the menu changes daily so take a look from the list below and go on the day that you wanna go! Monday: Marathi thali Wednesday: Sindhi thali Thursday: Rajbhog thali Friday: Gujarati thali Saturday: Rajasthani thali Sunday: Punjabi thali Be warned that it's a bit spicy if you go on Friday, especially if you're a kid like mine... they're quite tasty though so just make sure you have a lot of water or chaas with it The kids always love the mango dessert and the paneer. I especially loved the paneer and eggplant. I am admittedly weak on spice, but I sniffled and ate because it was flavorful and delicious! The staff was so nice and friendly, can't wait to go on a Sunday!

While the presentation of the biryani was nice - the flavor was rather flat and blah. The Goan curry was harsh - you could taste the spices were raw and had a bitter after taste. The waiter said that this was a spicy dish - not at all ! It was so mild. The fish portion was rather small. The aloo gobi was slightly overcooked and a little too salty. I am not the kind of mom who eats kids leftovers all the time. So I wanted my own dosa. For drinks, I did a medium strong filter coffee ( they make it to your customization and I was surprised to see they even had jaggery). My 9 year old took a mango lassi. Food was incredibly satisfying. Servers are very attentive and they came three times to our table offering more chutney and sambhar. We already had enough but if you like more sambhar and chutney with your food, this is heaven. One server even came with ghee for my little ones for idlis. I was so grateful. I was confused the first time I went in to eat because seating and ordering is not typical. When you first walk in, you go to the host and they'll give you a number then you walk to the room to your left to order and pay. You're given a chip if you order a coffee or tea and move over to the right. You give your chip to the person preparing the drinks for you. They ask your preference and hand over the very HOT drink. The dosa comes filled with turmeric spiced potato and on the side chutney (not my fave) and sambar which is so so good. You break a little dosa and dip and or scoop some of the sambar/ chutney.
