As a Korean, I'd say this is a pretty decent Korean restaurant. I got the bibim naengmyeon and yukgaejang. The banchan were solid, and I liked that they checked in to see if we needed refills. They also gave us a salad on the house, which I appreciated. The yukgaejang was good, and the bibim naengmyeon was also satisfying. Overall a solid spot if you're craving Korean food.

I ordered the bulgogi gimbap, spicy beef soup, and beef belly sot bap, and everything was absolutely delicious. This was my second time visiting, and both experiences have been consistently great. I genuinely enjoyed every dish we tried and would happily order them all again. There are still so many items on the menu I want to explore, so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back. The space itself is super cute and aesthetic, which makes the overall experience even better. Service has been great each time I've visited, and I also appreciate that they stay open late, it's perfect for a late-night dinner.

Flavor and quality didnt stand out in comparison to other dishes Service - came on a friday night, it was busy and there was a long wait time - took a long time to flag workers for check

We came here around 5:30 pm on a Friday and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, we were given menus but tbh they weren't needed because you're ordering on a iPad (with pictures) anyway. For 2 people, we ordered 3 dishes and had enough left over for a whole other meal. All the dishes were delicious. The tteokbokki sauce was spicy and flavorful and the rice cakes were very chewy and bouncy. The kalguksu was very seafood forward and feels very homey. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. Overall a very good dinner and will def come back to try some other dishes as well.

I have been here twice now and the food is one of our favorite places here! I called prior to see if I can make a reservation for a party of 6, but they actually don't take reservations especially for dinner time. Came around 6 pm on a Friday and the wait time was 25 minutes for our party. Not too bad at all. We got quite a bit of items to share like galbi jim and bossam (our favorite). Definitely think any menu item is worth a try. Service is attentive and nice! They checked in and refilled water often. Also I didn't mention it was my husband's birthday but we sang him happy birthday and the staff came out with decorated choco pies with a candle. So so sweet! Thank you for the great experience, we'll be back soon!

Service can be a bit faster and better. Might be one of the better tasting galbi jims I've had compared to to Socal! Personal preference but didn't care so much for the banchans, more fresh then pickled. Bossam was very moist and tasteful as well and came with all the condiments. Clean and nice ambiance.

Came here with a party of 5 on a Sunday night around 6pm. It was about a 15 minute wait. They took orders on tablets and food actually came out really fast. We ordered the cheesy corn, the Galbi Jjim and the Seafood Jeongol. In our opinion, the cheesy corn was too cheesy (oh, the irony). The other two dishes were both flavorful and delicious. The banchans however were just meh. Not especially good but also not bad.

Ondam is a special Korean dining experience in Santa Clara- the interior is nice and has a modern, upscale aesthetic that feels elevated. The food is overall, pretty good- and the quality of ingredients shows, especially in the banchan. I'd come back for the spicy marinated crab and bring friends and family here to enjoy the interior. - Kimbap: Bland and forgettable. The one dish I'd skip. - Kalguksu: Comforting and well-executed, nothing to complain about. - Spicy Marinated Crab: The star of the meal. Absolutely incredible and reason alone to come back. MUST ORDER! - Banchan -- Noticeably higher quality than most avg Korean spots.

Their Bossam got me going like (On)DAMMM... No, but for real that rose pickled radish and the presentation was just beautiful. Ondam is definitely a place you'd go to for a nice dinner with coworkers, friends, or on a date. From the entrance with the heavy wooden doors, lamps, and clean wooden tables, the modern interior really makes up for that upscale vibe. You even order from the tablet and banchan with waters are served upon seating. We got really lucky on a Saturday mid afternoon to be seated with no wait, so I'd recommend coming before that dinner rush. We came to share the Bossam at around $40, which is a decent price. Great amount of Napa cabbage and sides (garlic cloves, pickled radish, jalapeños) for 2 people to make us full. I will say the slice of pork was a little more on the thicker side, so it was a tiny bit tough and not as tender as I expected it to be. Love the fact that it comes with purple rice though. I also enjoyed how fresh their banchan was, especially their fish tofu like it was perfectly marinated! Their kimchi is also more on the mild side with that classic sour & spicy taste at the end. There was a looot of radish, which I had no trouble eating. Really nice and solid Korean spot. I'd definitely come back again and it's a great area to be in with all the boba / dessert spots nearby!

Came as a party of 10 on a Friday night at 7pm. The wait was for an hour so not too bad considering we had a larger party. Once we were seated they gave us the whole left section right at the entrance. Ordering was easy as they have iPads and the servers were super nice and accommodating. We ordered a lot of food and some of it isn't pictured. But the meal with seasonal bonchon was so good! It was such a yummy balanced meal. I really much enjoyed it since I guess we had so many dishes to pass around and try in a big group: - Spicy Pork - Seafood Kalguksu - Spicy Squid - La Kalbi - Seafood Pancake - Fried Chicken Platter - Kimbap - Bossam They even accommodated and put our friend's birthday cake on a cute platter :) such a great place!

Came here for a late Wednesday dinner. The space is clean and has a classy, upscale feel. It's quiet. Food-wise, we got three dishes. The tteokbokki was average, the rice cakes and quail eggs were good, but the fish cakes were way too fishy for my taste. The kimchi pancake was solid. Good flavor, and it really shined dipped in the sauce from the side dishes. The yubu gimbap was nice, it tasted exactly like it should, great flavor all around. The side dishes across the board were excellent. One thing that bugged me: the self-serve tablet ordering. It kills the dining experience, especially somewhere that feels this nice. Even basic things like water and utensils took multiple requests and a long wait. The staff themselves were kind and professional, just hard to flag down when everything runs through a screen.

Honestly for how insanely busy this place gets, the service is quite good and efficient! I was surprised we got seated with our group of 6 on a weekday night in the exact quoted time by the hostess - 25 minutes. Seafood pancake was our favorite, bossam was ok, also enjoyed the banchan dishes and would be back to try more! The interior is nice and bright, although it gets a bit loud so definitely more of a social lively atmosphere; and is great for a family/friends gathering.

Finally checked off this spot in my bookmarks after living in it for a while and it was worth trying once! Would I come back? Possibly. 3.5 stars. The place itself was cute and modern and the line for the lunch rush went fast. My cousin and I were craving raw marinated crab and came here since the original place we planned for wasn't open. Banchan was delicious, I thought it was off to a yummy start! Rose tteobokki was also heavy with the cream and bacon flavor - it tasted a bit hmmm Americanized? Still really enjoyed this though! There was so much buzz on social media about their chicken platter and not sure if it's bc I have a high standard for chicken or for my wallet... I'll say it was okay. $28 for boneless chicken that was a bit dry, I think I'll pass despite how nice it looks on screen. Their spicy raw marinated crab was on the smaller side and although it had a tasty flavor profile, there wasn't any noticeable spice. If anything, it was actually sweet and maybe I'm just used to the savoriness from other spots I've tried and liked. Service fell flat as well, our server didn't check in with us and eating raw marinated crab was messy with only one napkin til the bill came... Could've been an off day in general since there's many raving reviews.

They adjust heat, angle, and timing with an instinct that can't be engineered - it's earned through years of repetition. Fatty cuts get brief exposure to maximize aroma.
