The inside is very cute and looks clean. Got seated right away on Friday at 6PM for 3 peoples The seafood pancake was crispy and delicious. The tofu stew also had a lot of flavor and comes with a whole clay pot of rice. Benchan was also very fresh. Would go again, service was also very fast.

Upscale Korean restaurant with a nice ambiance. Came here for the fresh marinated crab. Solid service and started off with some delicious banchans. The menu design is cool but ordered with the iPad on the table. The marinated crab tasted fresh and marinade was delicious. Slight sweetness to it with the gooey raw crab. The Seolleong Tang had a rich and creamy broth with some tender beef. Would prefer to have more and an easier salt and pepper shaker. The kimichi pancake had crispy edges but middle was soggy. Would suggest using a splash of the sauce since it's salty. The Ondam chicken had a nice creamy citrus sauce with it but chicken alone was bit salty. Have high hopes for this place and looking to come back to try the galbi Jim and bossam.

Love the rose tteokbokki here and tried the raw marinated crab here for the first time! Gejang , haven't seen this dish in the bay area yet so was surprised they had it and super excited to try! It did not disappoint and dug in so fast that I had forgotten to take a pic. Love how they provided gloves for the crab but it is quite messy!! Don't be like me and wear white if you're a messy eater as well lol! The rose tteokbokki here is always so yummy too! Love the pork sausage in it and the sauce is soo good! I really love the aesthetics of this restaurant as well, from the exterior traditional door to how the lighting and inside is decorated! Can get really busy quickly so either come earlier or put your name down on waitlist first!

The food is amazing!!! The workers were also very helpful since we had a small space but we big backed and ordered a bunch. Final Thoughts: 4.50/5.0 My sister and I decided to go here for brunch today. I was craving some Korean food and this place has been on the list for a while now. Overall, my experience was very nice. The food was amazing and service was A+, as well. Will be a 5 star from me today and am hoping to come back for their other food items on the menu. Food: Rose Tteokbokki: 4.5/5 Both items that my sister and I chose today were amazing. It's such a comfort food because of the thick hot sauce and then that combined with the remainder of the toppings. This dish comes with the rice cakes, fish cake, egg, and sauce. The sauce is truly the highlight of this dish. It was just spicy enough, cheesy, thick, umami, and sweet. The sauce is typically made from gochujang and then milk or cream is added, so it gives it that rose color. The consistency of this one is just right for me. Other places can make it really thin, but this place made it nice and thick. If we added noodles to this, it would have also been amazing. Very rich and creamy. For the rice cakes, they were also of a good texture. Not too chewy and had a bite to them, as well. Stone Pot Bbibimbap: 4.5/5 Another great dish that we chose here. When the bowl came out, it was sizzling hot and we could hear the sizzling of the rice crisping up at the bottom of the plate. At the bottom, the rice continued to cook and became this nice crispy rice layer. All of the ingredients were nicely plated on top. Combined, the flavor is very savory and umami. This dish is a good balance of all of the macros with the rice, protein, and vegetables. We added the gochujang sauce on top for the additional flavor. This combined with all of the ingredients mixed together was chef's kiss. Along with the bibimbap, it comes with the seaweed soup on the side. Banchans: Delightful The banchans included kelp salad, kimchi, black beans, fish cakes, marinated spinach, and pickled radish and carrots. My personal favorite was probably the fishcakes, kelp salad, and black beans. All were nicely balanced in flavor. I do prefer the kimchi at other restaurants, but this one was also quite good. That is more of a preference for me though. The textures are also nice with the variety of banchans provided to us today. Their policy is that they will refill when the dish is empty. After-Meal Dessert: Yakgwa Upon getting your check and finishing your meal, they do provide you a little packaged yakgwa. This is a Korean Honey cookie. Quite sweet, but it's very small. Just a little sometime to complete the meal or bring with you after finishing. Waiting List/Reservations: Both Available Of note, this place does take reservations beforehand. They only allow this for parties of 5 or more. If you have a party of 9 or more, they recommend calling the restaurant directly for assistance. Parties of 4 or less may simply walk in and are not given the option to make a reservation beforehand. A waitlist on Yelp is also provided, so that you can monitor the crowd at the time. --------- Quality: Made to Order The food items seemed to be made to order. They really didn't take super long to get all items to come out, but they were all piping hot and sizzling, which I appreciate. Their banchans also look really nice, as well. Overall, appears very fresh and to order. Price: Leans more on the expensive side. Their prices do appear to be more on the expensive side. The price range for the main entrees are within $20 to $30 with some outliers being +/-$5. Their larger food items and more expensive food options will also lean more on being around $40+. Service: Very Attentive Our waiter was very attentive since we came through the door. He explained everything well from the menu to ordering items on the tablet at the table. He checked on us multiple times and always made sure we were doing well. This is something he did with every table that came in, as well. Very polite on top of that. There weren't that many groups during the time that we were there, but seems like he would still retain most of this attentiveness even with a larger crowd. Very much appreciated. Ambiance: Modern and Sleek The interior is quite dim lit on the outside, but is lit up well with their lights and lamps on the inside. Fairly big and spacious on the inside. The interior looks quite modern and sleek, which I like. There are screens, windows, Matches the scene quite well. I would come here for a nicer type of meal. Location/Parking: Small Plaza The restaurant is noted to be on San Tomas Expressway and El Camino Real. The plaza itself looks quite small and there are only a few shops next to it. The parking space appears optimal for their scale of a plaza too. My sister and I came earlier in the day, so waiting and parking weren't an issue at all. This is perhaps a bigger concern for the dinner time rush.

Very good sharing dishes, bossan and galbi jjim, for a party of 5 Pricey but reasonable split between a larger group. High quality dishes. Some might have been slightly overseasoned but still really tasty overall. Would come back to try other items. Ordering is through a tablet per table. Water refills were frequent but service otherwise is only provided when requested by tablet or eye contact.

We came on a Monday night and there was a short wait for a table but it wasn't too long. Service was quick and the banchan was never empty too long! We ordered a variety to share and the portion sizes were generous! Everything was delicious, great flavor and well cooked. But the real stand out was the bossam. Some of the best I've actually had in a really long time!

Ondam is located in an inconspicuous plaza off El Camino Real with plenty of parking and a lovely, renovated interior. The seating is pretty comfortable for families / older folks and even on a Sunday at 12:15-ish, there wasn't a wait for a 4 top. Every table comes with an iPad to view the menu and order, but you can always flag down a waiter as well. I really enjoyed the banchan here; great variety and flavor, but I'd say the main dishes themselves were average. Bossam (4/5): The pork was nice and tender with a good level of sodium. Accouterments was fresh and while this won't blow your socks off, will scratch the itch. Seafood Pancake (3.75/5): There was a decent crisp on the outside, but I prefer a higher ratio of seafood and green onions rather than mostly batter. Seolleongtang (3.5/5): Broth was nice and milky, but didn't quite have that deep almost funky flavor I want in a bone broth.

Bit of a wait on a weekend but the line moves fast took about 20 minutes to be seated. I love their exterior and how they decorated the inside as well. The menus are so adorable and pay homage to traditional Korean architecture My table ordered 3 dishes: Tteokbokki 7/10 -- decent and the rice cakes tastes very fresh but nothing too amazing Kimchi pancake 8/10 -- crispy and the sauce for dipping was really delicious The seafood jongeol was the star here 10/10 -- super hearty and warming soup with lots of seafood (crab, mussels, squid/octopus, shrimp) glass noodles, vegetables, and 2 bowls of rice. This is a must try if you're eating with a big group!! And of course the banchan (side dishes) were just as amazing, they has really unique vegetables that I hadn't seen at other restaurants before!!

The umami in the Doenjang jjigae was absolutely delicious. The bossam was tender and flavorful. The kimchi pancake hit the spot. It was my first time here and I will definitely be back again and again and again. Dreaming about that Doenjang jjigae!

We came here around 5:30 pm on a Friday and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, we were given menus but tbh they weren't needed because you're ordering on a iPad (with pictures) anyway. For 2 people, we ordered 3 dishes and had enough left over for a whole other meal. All the dishes were delicious. The tteokbokki sauce was spicy and flavorful and the rice cakes were very chewy and bouncy. The kalguksu was very seafood forward and feels very homey. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. Overall a very good dinner and will def come back to try some other dishes as well.

As a Korean, I'd say this is a pretty decent Korean restaurant. I got the bibim naengmyeon and yukgaejang. The banchan were solid, and I liked that they checked in to see if we needed refills. They also gave us a salad on the house, which I appreciated. The yukgaejang was good, and the bibim naengmyeon was also satisfying. Overall a solid spot if you're craving Korean food.

I ordered the bulgogi gimbap, spicy beef soup, and beef belly sot bap, and everything was absolutely delicious. This was my second time visiting, and both experiences have been consistently great. I genuinely enjoyed every dish we tried and would happily order them all again. There are still so many items on the menu I want to explore, so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back. The space itself is super cute and aesthetic, which makes the overall experience even better. Service has been great each time I've visited, and I also appreciate that they stay open late, it's perfect for a late-night dinner.

I love how hearty this meal is and how it never fails to warm me up from the inside out. This is the perfect comfort meal. The meat is also so tender and the noodles really soak up that broth. The broth is the best part, you can season it to your own taste but the base itself is already pretty great! Very savory. And the plus is that they give free yakult at the end when you pay so it's a cute lil free sweet treat to enjoy!

The meat was juicy, fatty, and flavorful with a little hint of smokiness that completed the experience that I desire from beef. The 해물 파전 isn't made conventionally. It has this beautiful crispy top that adds a new dimension to the experience. The 잡채 wasn't as plentiful as I would've liked but it doesn't matter since it functions as an appetizer to the rest of the meal. The 된장찌개 was yummy for someone who hasn't tried it before. I should also mention that the complimentary side dishes includes raw marinated crab which was absolute heaven. Squeeze it like a toothpaste bottle and the juicy crab comes right out. One of my friends is a big eater (just a beefier human in general), so we decided to get an extra order of 눈꽃살. If I were to order again for the same group of friends (4 people total), I would order 해물 파전, 돌솥 비빔밥, 청담 갈비, 양념갈비, and 눈꽃살. I think its close to the amount of food that we ordered, but a little more affordable and some (superior) substitutions. The staff was friendly and efficient which was fantastic. I got to meet the owner/manager, he seems like a kind and friendly gentleman. I want to come back more often for the 해물 파전 and 양념갈비. It was actually the perfect group to test it. One of us had marinated crab in Boston and loved it, another tried it in Busan and wasn't a fan, and I was a complete first timer. We ordered the Soy Sauce Marinated Raw Crab, Beef Short Rib Soup, and the summer special Hwe Naengmyeon (Spicy Cold Raw Fish Mixed Noodle). The restaurant is spacious, and seeing that most of the customers were Korean definitely gave us high expectations. Service was friendly and our food came out in about 10-15 minutes. The raw crab came with a bowl of rice, quail egg, fish roe, roasted seaweed, seaweed salad, and pickled daikon. My friend mixed everything together for us like a pro. Soy marinade was well balanced, the crab had a soft, jelly-like texture and tasted really fresh, not gimmicky at all. My friend who didn't enjoy this dish in Korea actually ended up liking this version, and my other friend even said it was better than the one she had in Boston. As for me, I really enjoyed trying it for the first time. That said, it's definitely an acquired taste and probably not for everyone. If you're not ready to eat raw crab, I'd actually recommend trying the soy marinade with soft tofu or boiled eggs first because the sauce itself is delicious. The Beef Short Rib Soup came with tender meat, but the broth was just okay. Not bad, just not something I'd order again. The Hwe Naengmyeon, on the other hand, was really refreshing. It definitely had a spicy kick, the noodles were soft yet chewy, and the raw fish had such a unique texture that I honestly don't know how to describe it. Served cold with fresh veggies and half a boiled egg, it was perfect for a hot day. Also, banchan were delicious and free refill, our favorite was the Konjac noodle mayo salad and Gyeran Mari (Korean Egg Roll). Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try soy marinated raw crab, and I can definitely see myself ordering it again. Such a fun first experience, and I'll be back to explore more of the menu.

Fast and Delicious!!…read more We had the following and they were all very yummy!! Great flavors and cooked to perfection - Seafood Pancake - Dumpling Tofu Soup (spicy) - this was not spicy enough for me ... but still yummy - Daeji Bulgogi spicy marinated sliced pork) - also was not as spicy as we'd like ... but still yummy - La Galbi (B.B.Q. beef short ribs) ... these were really flavorful!! - Galbitang (beef rib soup) ... amazing broth and the beef just fell off the bone (perfect for a hangover...lol) Pretty big place... and they have private rooms. Parking is plentiful, but there are lots of signs about car theft.. so be careful. Staff were very attentive in replenishing the banchan. Overall great time! Would I go back? Absolutely!!

It's quite large with many tables and chairs inside, and it's nice and brightly lit. Service was quick and efficient, and they moved us to a larger table after hearing how much we were ordering We definitely overordered and got a seafood pancake to start, the smaller size of bossam, a kimchi tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. The bossam took a while to come out, and by then we were already pretty full off of the pancake, soup and bibimbap. Service sizes are generous, and this definitely would've been enough for 4+ people to share. There was a great assortment of different banchan - my favorite is the jelly! The pancake was nice and crispy, with a good amount of seafood, the bibimbap had a great amount of crispy rice at the bottom and the tofu soup was comforting and exactly what we were looking for. The bossam had a lot of meat - I kind of wished there was more radish and napa to go with the meat, but it was tender, not too fatty, and satisfying. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Jang su jang is still a classic staple, and has a delicious offering for almost any korean craving you could want. It's a little pricey, but comparable to other options in the area with consistent quality that makes it worth it in my opinion.

Came with a few friends on a Saturday night and it was absolutely packed! The drinks here are…read morerelatively cheaper compared to other pochas, bars, or pubs, but the high food prices pretty much make up for that. We shared a soy garlic fried chicken and some fries with a beer and a few sojus. We were still hungry so we then ordered combo #4 and asked to replace the fish cake soup for more fries; our server originally denied the request but came back and said he'd do it this one time. I highly recommend ordering the combos here over ala carte! All the food came out piping hot and fresh. It was the perfect bar food; just really expensive for the quality of what you're eating. The place had ambient purple lighting inside, kpop & korean street food videos displaying on the TVs, tons of korean idol posters, and music absolutely blasting overhead. I enjoyed the lively vibe, but will say the music got a bit too loud and my friends and I really had to raise our voice to speak to each other. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely come back!

Not only was this the worst Korean food I've had to date, but the service was a mess. I try my best…read moreto be understanding and I usually never leave negative reviews, but this one I had to share. We ordered a combo (contains three dishes) and not only did they forget two of the three items, but when we asked for the two items they only brought out the second one over an hour later. By the time we were done with our second item, we asked them to just not bring out the third item in our combo because it was clear they hadn't even begun to prepare it because they forgot again. Despite only receiving two of the three items in our combo over the span of our two hours, they still charged us the full $73 for the combo. Additionally, they kept bringing out the wrong items and also brought out things twice when we had already received it. Food overall was undeniably bad for how it was priced. The quality of the pork in the katsu was extremely tough and stringy, not to mention how it was absolutely drowned in sauce. Kimchi fried rice was wet, as it was drowned in sauce and oil, barely fried. Chicken wings were also drenched in oil and sauce, and it was soggy, rubbery, and overall terrible. In conclusion, don't waste your time or money here. This was my second time at this establishment, and both times were atrocious.
