The umami in the Doenjang jjigae was absolutely delicious. The bossam was tender and flavorful. The kimchi pancake hit the spot. It was my first time here and I will definitely be back again and again and again. Dreaming about that Doenjang jjigae!

Ondam is located in an inconspicuous plaza off El Camino Real with plenty of parking and a lovely, renovated interior. The seating is pretty comfortable for families / older folks and even on a Sunday at 12:15-ish, there wasn't a wait for a 4 top. Every table comes with an iPad to view the menu and order, but you can always flag down a waiter as well. I really enjoyed the banchan here; great variety and flavor, but I'd say the main dishes themselves were average. Bossam (4/5): The pork was nice and tender with a good level of sodium. Accouterments was fresh and while this won't blow your socks off, will scratch the itch. Seafood Pancake (3.75/5): There was a decent crisp on the outside, but I prefer a higher ratio of seafood and green onions rather than mostly batter. Seolleongtang (3.5/5): Broth was nice and milky, but didn't quite have that deep almost funky flavor I want in a bone broth.

Bit of a wait on a weekend but the line moves fast took about 20 minutes to be seated. I love their exterior and how they decorated the inside as well. The menus are so adorable and pay homage to traditional Korean architecture My table ordered 3 dishes: Tteokbokki 7/10 -- decent and the rice cakes tastes very fresh but nothing too amazing Kimchi pancake 8/10 -- crispy and the sauce for dipping was really delicious The seafood jongeol was the star here 10/10 -- super hearty and warming soup with lots of seafood (crab, mussels, squid/octopus, shrimp) glass noodles, vegetables, and 2 bowls of rice. This is a must try if you're eating with a big group!! And of course the banchan (side dishes) were just as amazing, they has really unique vegetables that I hadn't seen at other restaurants before!!

Very good sharing dishes, bossan and galbi jjim, for a party of 5 Pricey but reasonable split between a larger group. High quality dishes. Some might have been slightly overseasoned but still really tasty overall. Would come back to try other items. Ordering is through a tablet per table. Water refills were frequent but service otherwise is only provided when requested by tablet or eye contact.

We came here around 5:30 pm on a Friday and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, we were given menus but tbh they weren't needed because you're ordering on a iPad (with pictures) anyway. For 2 people, we ordered 3 dishes and had enough left over for a whole other meal. All the dishes were delicious. The tteokbokki sauce was spicy and flavorful and the rice cakes were very chewy and bouncy. The kalguksu was very seafood forward and feels very homey. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. Overall a very good dinner and will def come back to try some other dishes as well.

As a Korean, I'd say this is a pretty decent Korean restaurant. I got the bibim naengmyeon and yukgaejang. The banchan were solid, and I liked that they checked in to see if we needed refills. They also gave us a salad on the house, which I appreciated. The yukgaejang was good, and the bibim naengmyeon was also satisfying. Overall a solid spot if you're craving Korean food.

I ordered the bulgogi gimbap, spicy beef soup, and beef belly sot bap, and everything was absolutely delicious. This was my second time visiting, and both experiences have been consistently great. I genuinely enjoyed every dish we tried and would happily order them all again. There are still so many items on the menu I want to explore, so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back. The space itself is super cute and aesthetic, which makes the overall experience even better. Service has been great each time I've visited, and I also appreciate that they stay open late, it's perfect for a late-night dinner.

Flew into the Bay Area late and wanted bossam and raw marinated crab. This place did not disappoint. It was open late, the food was delicious and the customer service was great.

I have been here twice now and the food is one of our favorite places here! I called prior to see if I can make a reservation for a party of 6, but they actually don't take reservations especially for dinner time. Came around 6 pm on a Friday and the wait time was 25 minutes for our party. Not too bad at all. We got quite a bit of items to share like galbi jim and bossam (our favorite). Definitely think any menu item is worth a try. Service is attentive and nice! They checked in and refilled water often. Also I didn't mention it was my husband's birthday but we sang him happy birthday and the staff came out with decorated choco pies with a candle. So so sweet! Thank you for the great experience, we'll be back soon!

    Banchans. More fresh than pickled.

Service can be a bit faster and better. Might be one of the better tasting galbi jims I've had compared to to Socal! Personal preference but didn't care so much for the banchans, more fresh then pickled. Bossam was very moist and tasteful as well and came with all the condiments. Clean and nice ambiance.

Came here with a party of 5 on a Sunday night around 6pm. It was about a 15 minute wait. They took orders on tablets and food actually came out really fast. We ordered the cheesy corn, the Galbi Jjim and the Seafood Jeongol. In our opinion, the cheesy corn was too cheesy (oh, the irony). The other two dishes were both flavorful and delicious. The banchans however were just meh. Not especially good but also not bad.

Ondam is a special Korean dining experience in Santa Clara- the interior is nice and has a modern, upscale aesthetic that feels elevated. The food is overall, pretty good- and the quality of ingredients shows, especially in the banchan. I'd come back for the spicy marinated crab and bring friends and family here to enjoy the interior. - Kimbap: Bland and forgettable. The one dish I'd skip. - Kalguksu: Comforting and well-executed, nothing to complain about. - Spicy Marinated Crab: The star of the meal. Absolutely incredible and reason alone to come back. MUST ORDER! - Banchan -- Noticeably higher quality than most avg Korean spots.

Their Bossam got me going like (On)DAMMM... No, but for real that rose pickled radish and the presentation was just beautiful. Ondam is definitely a place you'd go to for a nice dinner with coworkers, friends, or on a date. From the entrance with the heavy wooden doors, lamps, and clean wooden tables, the modern interior really makes up for that upscale vibe. You even order from the tablet and banchan with waters are served upon seating. We got really lucky on a Saturday mid afternoon to be seated with no wait, so I'd recommend coming before that dinner rush. We came to share the Bossam at around $40, which is a decent price. Great amount of Napa cabbage and sides (garlic cloves, pickled radish, jalapeños) for 2 people to make us full. I will say the slice of pork was a little more on the thicker side, so it was a tiny bit tough and not as tender as I expected it to be. Love the fact that it comes with purple rice though. I also enjoyed how fresh their banchan was, especially their fish tofu like it was perfectly marinated! Their kimchi is also more on the mild side with that classic sour & spicy taste at the end. There was a looot of radish, which I had no trouble eating. Really nice and solid Korean spot. I'd definitely come back again and it's a great area to be in with all the boba / dessert spots nearby!

This is not "trendy K-BBQ." This is craft. Premium Beef Sets The two beef platters show exactly why this restaurant has earned its reputation. Cuts are uniform, balanced, and beautifully marbled - not over-trimmed, not sloppy. You can tell each cut was selected with intent. And then comes the part that separates Jang Su Jang from the rest: The Ajeumma Grill Masters The ajumma who handle the grill are true specialists. They adjust heat, angle, and timing with an instinct that can't be engineered - it's earned through years of repetition. Fatty cuts get brief exposure to maximize aroma. Leaner cuts are rested, turned, and finished with restraint. Everything lands at the table tender, glossy, and perfectly rendered. This is the kind of skill you don't fake.
