What should've been a fun lunch turned into a masterclass in disorganization. Our party of 8 had a 12:00 PM reservation, yet we weren't seated until 12:20. Two friends arrived slightly late and ordered only two minutes after everyone else, but somehow one of their entrées disappeared into another dimension while the rest of us were nearly finished eating. As if that wasn't enough, our table was repeatedly brought dishes we never ordered. It honestly felt like the kitchen was playing roulette with the tickets. The cherry on top was the manager's response. When we asked for the delayed meal to be comped and requested to speak with a manager, we got excuses before we got an apology. This place was an extreme let down from moment of checking in to the end of the meal at payment. We checked in at noon but didn't get seated until 30 minutes later. Once seated we were able to put in our order with two of our members running late but promptly placed their orders about 5-10 minutes later. It's better to look at a lot than banking on street parking. I personally tried the pho poutine, fo sizzle, viet coffee, and banh xeo tacos. The pho poutine is honestly the only thing worth getting here. It is a very heavy dish so I would either share the dish amongst a few people or just get it as an entree. The fo sizzle was pretty good, but all the food here was definitely over priced. If I went here again I'd probably order the fo sizzle again. The banh xeo tacos are definitely impractical to eat. They fall apart so you just end up eating it crumbled up on your plate. The viet coffee was nice and strong but $8 is kind of insane for a coffee especially cause it feels like less than a normal cup of coffee. The entire shrimp is easily eaten (only the tail still has the shell but it's pretty crunchy) - We didn't seem to get half of the described items like lettuce, green apple, possibly papaya, and purple onions. 2. Crispy pork belly fried rice - Pork cubes were halfway between crispy and soft/fatty. Red like Chinese char siu (barbequed) and delicious - Taste of truffle unagi sauce in the rice was pretty faint but overall rice texture and taste were excellent 3. Fo sizzle: Beef cubes were super tender as were the cooked cherry tomatoes! Also came with two poached eggs. There's quite a bit of sauce at the bottom - I think oyster sauce and other marinades so it tastes like shaking beef. 4. That's how breaking dawn felt I knew it wasn't going to be great when we came in for Sunday brunch and the place wasn't even busy. Party of 8 people, all entrees came out at different intervals and they forgot my sister's meal entirely and did not offer to comp it until requested. At that point, she didn't even want the food anymore because everyone already finished eating. At no point did the server check in on us. The manager was completely dismissive of our concerns and extremely rude. My sister made this reservation because it was a special occasion as she was pregnant and was revealing her pregnancy to our friends. She had to speak to the manager outside and the excuses were "we are busy what do you want us to do, if it was a special occasion you should have told us, I already said sorry and you said you didn't want your food anymore." The menu here is pretty large - they serve brunch, apps, and burgers during the first half of the day. This place is certainly pricey, but we really enjoyed it. The soufflé pancakes took about 20-25 minutes (they warn you in advance) and were excellent. The Fo Sizzle plate had two eggs, two large slices of baguette, and a generous serving of beef. They have a full bar and lots of non-alcoholic drink options too (Vietnamese coffee was AH-MAZING). They also have a machine that apparently assembles burgers?!? Very nice and spacious Asian fusion restaurant in fancy area but reasonable price. Banh mi and pho are both famous Vietnamese dish and they successfully combine both in one dish. Next time I'll order burger to see how the robot does it. Service was fast and our server was very friendly. read more

Late post from my visit on April 27, 2025. Wanted to take my sissy out for her birthday and she had heard rave reviews about this spot so of course we had to try it and boy are we glad we did. I have found my new fave brunch spot in Los Gatos. We ordered the following per the server's recommendation: * FO Shizzle with beef - Amazing. I drool just thinking about this dish * Grilled Pork Spring Rolls - This was delicious and the sauce took it to another level. * Souffle pancakes - Light and airy, this was our breakssert and it did not disappoint. ** We ordered the ooey gooey chocolate toffee cookies, but they were out :-) * I also ordered the Me Espresso and was a little skeptical since I don't like bitters, but the bartender assured us that it would not overpower the drink and he was not wrong. So glad I tried it, this was absolutely divine. I think my sis ordered the Free Bird but I'm not 100% sure. In any case, she loved her drink. My final takeaway - 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. My new go to brunch spot when I'm in California. Thanks Breaking Dawn. Hope you open a spot in Vegas so I can stop by more often. read more

Food Rating: 6.7 Price: 8/10 Ambiance/Service: 8/10 Overall Rating: 7.6 Super cute interior but definitely on the louder side. Service was friendly and very fast. Maybe a bit too fast, since all seven of our dishes came out at once, which felt a little overwhelming. Staggering them would've made for a smoother dining experience. Seasoned Potatoes - $6 Rating (5/10) It was good well seasoned but the oil may need a purge. Overall they were too oily Grilled Pork Spring Rolls - $15 Rating (4/10) Pretty basic overall. The crunchy egg roll inside was oily, and there was just too much vermicelli which threw off the balance. Pho Poutine - $15 Rating (8/10) I think this is the must get dish at this place. The short rib meat was super tender and the gravy is super flavorful! The only issue I had was that the gravy was poured on top, so by the end, everything dried out a bit. A side of extra gravy would've made it perfect. Loco moco - $24 Rating (7/10) The rice with the gravy and egg was super delicious. The patty was very bland it needed a bit more seasoning. Noods please + beef - $17 + $8 Rating (6.5/10) The beef was super tender! The noodles were flavored and sauced well but it was just too heavy. It's a hard dish to eat solo. Shake 'em - $25 Rating (9/10) Super well balanced and delicious dish! The beef was super flavorful and tender and the vinaigrette was so tasty. RBF - $25 Rating (7.5/10) Pandan waffle was a good sweetness and texture. Chicken was a bit bland tasting / heavy and found myself wanting to eat just the waffle rather than the combination of both. read more
