The food came out hot, the portions were perfect, and everything we ordered was honestly so good. Service was quick and everyone was really nice and welcoming. This is my second time trying out the brunch here. It's located on busy Steven's creek blvd. The parking lot is extremely small so my friends and I parked in the neighborhood around the back. The waitlist, check in process, and host stand area was chaotic. I had to ask a few people waiting around the front to make sure I wasn't cutting anyone in line in order to put my name down on the tablet for a table. Wait time suggested 7-17 min, and it's pretty accurate. I received a text message to check in to not lose my spot around 5-8 min. But when I checked in the host looked confused but checked my name and assured me the table will be shortly. And then I got the text to go back around 15 min because the table was ready. And again, there was a long line in front of the host's stand yet most were just waiting for their tables too. Finally sat down and were given menus pretty quickly with water. It was cute the water glasses had their name etched on there. The decor inside was white washed with mirrors along the back wall. We sat at a table where the ground was clearly cracked and chairs rocked if you didn't place it just right. We ordered drinks and those came out fast. I ordered the Espresso Shakerato. Really sweet IMO. My friend ordered the blue mule and that drink was also sweet and looked like the Hawaiian Punch drink. We shared the taster bacon platter and for myself I ordered the cheeseburger, medium. A couple of the bacon pieces were too fatty. The original flavor was the best followed by the citron flavor. I should have ordered my burger medium rare because by the time I got the burger it was done and so tough to eat. I had to cut it down to very small bites to eat. The French fries that came with the dish were really good. They must have been in the middle of breaks and shift change during our time because getting our food took a while and getting the bill took a long time. Sweet Maple is a popular brunch place that fuses Asian-American Breakfast together. There's almost always a wait, but the wait is reasonable ~20-45 minutes. They do not take reservations online. You add your name to the waiting list upon arrival. The dining area was modern in aesthetics as they use marble quartz table tops and chic dining furniture. Service was so-so. While the staff were friendly, they are not very attentive (as I will note below). 1. Fried Chicken Croffle (5/5) This is one of their most popular dish and for good reasons. I never would've thought fried chicken would go well with waffle, but it does. The fried chicken was juicy, tender and crispy. The waffle was lightly sweet, but paired perfectly well with the savory chicken when eaten together. It's served with sides of fruits, candied walnut and spicy honey maple syrup, which we asked for on the side, so we could control the amount of sweetness. Definitely worth trying. 2. Balsamic Grilled Eggplant (4/5) It's served as 2 slabs of eggplant (almost like toast). The eggplant was grilled to the perfect texture - not too mushy and not too firm. It's topped with balsamic dressing, feta cheese, basil and cherry tomatoes all of which came together really well. 3. Brussel sprout (4/5) Crispy Brussel sprouts topped with a generous amount of candied bacon bits. The sprouts were fresh, but the candied bacon bits made the dish a bit too sweet in our opinion. 4. Francis Soufflegg (4/5) The presentation is the point of this dish. It's egg souffle served in cast iron skillet. The eggs were very fluffy and jiggly. It does have a bit of that "Egginess," so if you don't like that, then this dish may not be for you. It's topped with chicken mango sausage and bacon bits. I did not really taste the chicken mango sausage as the bacon bits overpowered it. I chose fries as my side, which was absolutely some of the best fries I've had. Perfectly crispy and seasoned well + aioli dipping sauce. 5. Matcha Moffle (2/5) Essentially, this is their mochi waffle with matcha flavoring served on top of a bed of light, airy matcha whipped cream. We specifically requested this dish be brought out at the end as we want it as our dessert. Instead, it was the 2nd dish they brought out. Upon arrival, it looked amazing and was soft to the touch. Unfortunately, by the time we got to eating this at the end of our meal, the mochi waffle had hardened into a hard, dense block. The matcha flavor was light. The matcha cream was a bit too sweet. I'm sure it would've been better enjoyed when it was fresh - bummer. 6. Bacon Sampler Platter (4.5/5) It comes as a platter of 4 bacon strips of various flavors (original, Citron, Cinnamon and Rosemary). I liked the presentation as they put a stick on cinnamon on top of the cinnamon flavor bacon strip, a sprig of rosemary on the rosemary flavor bacon and a slice of orange on the citron flavor bacon strip. The only issue was the paper labelling of the strips was listed in the reversed order, so it initially made us confused. In terms of flavor, they were amazing each on their own. Original - peppery and spicy Citron - slight citrus flavor notes Cinnamon - sweet cinnamony with a hint of spice from spicy maple syrup? Rosemary - savory, peppery, herbally. The bacon strips were thick and very fatty. It's best to share this platter as you can very quickly feel full after a few bites. We did feel the maple syrup coating was a bit too much and too sweet. 7. Bibimbap (3/5) A sizzling stonepot of rice mixed with asparagus, spinach, mushroom, carrot, bell pepper, red onion, scallion, bean sprouts and fried egg. There are options to add pork-lime sausage, prawns or galbi for additional cost. The fried egg had a nice runny yolk, which added moisture and creaminess to the rice. The brown sauce they put in was too sweet. The rice was over-cooked; too mushy. Overall, not the best bibimbap - can skip. 8. One Percenter Burger (5/5) A very satisfying burger for those who are extremely hungry. The burger contains their Millionaire's candied bacon, fried egg, tomato, arugula, pickled red onion and pepper jack on top of a juicy patty and between 2 soft brioche buns. Can't go wrong with the burgers. 9. Burrata Citrus Salad (4.5/5) A fresh bed of mixed lettuce dressed in a light citrus yuzu dressing. Topped with a good chunk of burrata (more than anyone can eat), nicely grilled red onions, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes, and crunchy candied walnuts. 10. Coco Matcha Bliss (5/5) A heavenly refreshing drink combining fresh coconut water and matcha together. Hydrating, yet caffeinated. Craving brunch after a workout, so we stopped by Sweet Maple and went straight for their Tornado Omurice, which is still one of our all-time favorite dishes from here. We also tried the Holy Cow Salad, which comes with a mix of greens, galbi meat, and Kewpie sauce. To be honest, though, this one was kind of a miss for me. There wasn't really a wow factor, and the whole dish felt pretty mid. The Tornado Omurice, on the other hand, was flavorful as usual! The meat was super tender and definitely braces-approved, which is always a win. Service was decent, especially considering how packed the place was over the weekend. Overall, though, I wasn't particularly wowed by the food this time around. I'd give it a solid 3/5. We paid a little over $50 for two dishes for two people, which felt a bit pricey for what we got. Service was relatively fast for a brunch spot and very organized (we put our name down on the yelp waitlist and indicated our preference and why and we were seated within 15-20 min). Go to the other Sweet Maple locations instead!! This one just isn't it. The food is still good, but the location itself is too stressful. The biggest issue is the parking. This has to be one of the worst parking lots in the South Bay. It's a small narrow lot with angled parking, and I've never been able to find an open spot. You can't park across the street because those 2-3 spaces are reserved for another business, so your only real option is to park on the residential street but that's usually already full of residents' cars. The layout of the restaurant is also lacking. There isn't a designated waiting area, so everyone waiting for a table ends up standing around the entrance, making it feel crowded and chaotic. The outdoor seating area is right next to the host stand, so there's a constant stream of people checking in and adding their names to the waitlist. It's also next to a busy street so you'll hear cars driving by and honking which can be overwhelming. The food is still very good (I really like the omurice and the sizzling stone pot), but everything about the hectic ambiance takes away from the overall experience. I'd rather go to the Palo Alto location instead of dealing with the parking at this location... read more

I tried my Uncle's French toast and it was outstanding, it was thick cut slice and crisp as well. A delicious brunch spot with such unique dishes. I visited on a Saturday morning and waited around 30 minutes. If you're visiting on a weekend for brunch, be prepared for a bit of a wait. The interior of the store is decorated beautifully, and there's also a lot of outdoor seating. The menu looked fantastic. With that said, unless you come off meal times , its really hard to find parking and you will probably have to find street parking and walk from the neighborhood. The servers are quick to take your order and are constantly walking around. The indoor seating is pretty loud from everyone else talking so personally, I prefer sitting outdoors where its quieter and I can hear my conversations better. Final Thoughts: 4.00/5 This place technically should have been on my to-go list a while ago, but my friends had a really poor experience with this place, so I just never wanted to go. My friends did want to go here for brunch and so this opportunity for me to try it just came up. There was a little wait when we got there on a Saturday afternoon. I typically find that these places do get somewhat more crowded during these times because of the hype and optimal brunch times. Will vary depending on the day and time and perhaps by luck. Overall, I seemed to have a better experience than my other friends did. The food and drinks we got today were quite good. Our service was great and overall experience will be a 4 star today. Food: Tornado Galbi Omurice: 4.0/5 This was my choice today. It came with a galbi and vegetable fried rice base, scrambled eggs tornadoed on top, cherry peppers, galbi for protein, and the demi-glaze all around. The bulgogi is very tender and has a lot of flavor to it. While the vegetable rice does add another component to it, I personally would have preferred white rice with the vegetables on the side or something similar. This is just a personal preference. I just like the simplicity of an omurice dish with white rice though. The egg was nicely done. It's a very thin layer of egg, which I personally really like. It incorporates well into each bite. Demi-glaze was also quite umami, there's a nice balance of sweetness to it, which I enjoyed. Loco Moco: 4.0/5 This was my friend's dish and I was able try it today. The dish has a wagyu beef cutlet, sauted kimchi, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, egg, and rice with gravy. The beef was juicy and the flavor was overall good. This was also something I contemplated to get. Very umami, some sweetness and a bit of a kick and acidity from the kimchi. Side of Fries: 4.2/5 We ordered a side of fries and these are really good. Their fried potatoes in general are really good because it's a nice crunch on the outside with some potato and body on the inside. This paired so well with their dipping sauce. Appears to be an aioli of sorts, but no one quote me on that. Matcha Moffle: 4.2/5 This is their matcha mochi waffle. The plate comes with two waffles and strawberries on top for some freshness. The texture of a mochi waffle is always my favorite because it's slightly chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The matcha flavor does come through and the matcha cream on the side gives it that additional kick of matcha. It doesn't need syrup or anything, but you can ask for it if you have a sweet tooth. My one minute note is the garnish. We could take this off, but the mint leaf just looked wilted on the hot waffle and was unappealing to have on that pretty plate of waffles. Drink: Matcha Paradise: 4.0/5 This drink is essentially a coconut water base with matcha cream on top. The sweetness was nice and it was really refreshing. The cream is thick, but incorporates well into the drink. My one note is that the matcha isn't too strong and I would have loved a deeper flavor for it. Otherwise, this drink is really refreshing. Sweetness was actually also quite good. --------- Quality: Their food seems alright. The dishes came out hot and crispy, so they appear to be made to order. The sweet potatoes were especially crispy and very delightful to bite into. The color of the matcha appears lighter and somewhat more oxidized to me, so I'm not sure what kind of matcha is used for this drink. My preference is a rich ceremonial grade matcha, which has a different color that is more bright and vibrant than this. Price: $$ -- $$$ The prices are definitely on the higher end. Price ranges will be between $15 to $25 with some outliers. Their portion sizes do appear of optimal size. I wasn't able to finish my food (as I never do), but it was a large enough portion. Given the food item though, some of these items can be considered more expensive than your average brunch spot. Service: Delightful Our servers were actually quite nice. There is one main person that helps you, but another waiter did come to serve us while we were trying to flag them down. This seems to be the expectation, but it's not usually the case sometimes. Food comes out within ample time and they do check on you. Ambiance: Cozy Brunch Vibes They have an indoors and outdoors seating area with tents for shade. The interior does look quite packed with tables. Very simple and modern interior though. Nothing fancy, but it does give café and brunch vibes. Location/Parking: Could be better. This place is located right at the corner of S. Blaney Avenue and Stevens Creek Blvd. It is located in it's own corner, which is nice. The parking is interesting though. You could literally just drive right in from the street to one of it's parking spots though, which is not ideal because getting out can be a little harder. They have spots all around, but very limited. Will say that this comes down to luck. read more

Stopped by yesterday with my kid, and we had a really nice experience. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the Morning Thai Cioppino and the Pimped Up Ramyun, and both were excellent. The Morning Thai Cioppino had a bold, authentic tom yum flavor with just the right balance of spice and tanginess. The Pimped Up Ramyun was a pleasant surprise. It definitely gave me instant ramen vibes, but in the best way possible. It was comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with much better ingredients than your average cup of ramen. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted fresh. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

I love the atmosphere here. Very chill and calm place for a slow morning. Love their little table decor also. Service can feel a bit rushed since they try to take your plate away as soon as you finish. My friend plate was touched before she even finish her. Now about the food. I think the food are great but can be a bit more flavorful. I ended up adding a bunch of chalula onto my dish to get some flavor. However I still thing they are worth a try, everyone taste are different. read more

Food is yummy. I like to come here when I have the time since the line is usually long. My favorite is their egg souffle and loco moco. This time I wanted to try something new and got the sizzling stonepot. It was also delicious and i love the amount of vegetables. It makes me feel like I'm eating healthy and I always end up full afterwards. I also really like their mochi waffle after the meal. Indoors is a bit crowded and quite loud, could be hard to hear if you are or with someone soft spoken. read more

Definitely worth the hype to try at least once! I visted on Valentine's Day and I only had to wait about 30 minutes. Food came out quickly, and server was attentative. Staff did an amzing job with the table turnover rate, despite it being a holiday! It was a bit expensive though. Millionare Bacon Side Order: $15 for 2 slices. Definitely on the more expensive side, but very popular due to it being on TV!. They are thick pieces of bacon, with sweetness and a bit of heat. Loco Moco ($26)- Yummy and savory. The gravy was really good! Tornado Galbi Omurice ($26)- Demi-glace was savory and yummy! Egg was made to perfection. This was probably my fav main dish. Plenty of seating inside and outside.
