Caviar and potato chips, Blackberry Mocktail and a Spritz to start
    Christine V.

I can see why RH Rooftop Restaurant has such mixed reviews but after finally visiting for lunch, I'm really glad we gave it a chance. I had been hesitant to come because of what I had read, but one of my girlfriends suggested we make a reservation and try it for ourselves. Even with reservations there was still a bit of a wait to be seated, but honestly we didn't mind at all. Walking through the space and browsing the beautiful furniture displays made the time pass quickly and added to the overall experience. Where things slowed down a bit was with the service. From placing our order to receiving the food, everything took longer than expected. It wasn't terrible, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. That said, the food absolutely delivered. We started with the caviar and potato chips, which felt indulgent and fun to share. For lunch we both ordered the lobster roll, and it was spectacular fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the blackberry mocktail while my friend had the spritz, and both drinks were refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. The real standout, though, was dessert. We ordered the banana split-style brûlée dessert (I wish I remembered the exact name), and it was easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The textures and sweetness were perfectly balanced and it was the ideal way to end our lunch. Overall, I would absolutely come back and would recommend it just make sure you have a little extra time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

I went to RH Rooftop after seeing so many videos about how great it was online, and while I do have to say the restaurant was quite pretty and our server was so sweet, nothing really stood out to me otherwise. I didn't love the starters, which were the prosciutto board and the caviar blinis. I found the meat and cheese board to be pretty lackluster and would definitely recommend people to just skip if they're contemplating it. The caviar blinis were very light but truly didn't stand out to me either. However, my boyfriend loved them so maybe try if you're into a light, airy starter. I did enjoy the branzino because of the nice lemon flavor, but I do think it could have used more lemon and a tiny bit of salt. The salad was tasty, and if you lots of onions in your salad then I would recommend. Steak and fries were fine as well. Overall, the food was decent but nothing really stood out to me, and for the price, I've definitely had better. Probably wouldn't go again but I did want to give a special shoutout to our server (can't remember her name). She was the sweetest and really accommodating. She also gave us some chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream on-the-house after we told her it was our anniversary!

We went there on a Monday late afternoon lunch. We had reservation but on a Monday, the restaurant was pretty empty unlike on a weekend. Their food options are almost all at $$ price. But they do have some good food options. Their chicken dishes are my favorite. There is unfortunately less options for Vegans. Their beer is very good. So is most of their wines. This restaurant is more of a date-night kind of place and not so much of a family friendly place, especially with young kids. The staff is friendly and the ambience is top class. This place definitely checks out for their good vibes but not so much for the food.

This RH Rooftop Restaurant has become one of our favorite places to go for brunch in the Bay Area. It's located on the outskirts of the Stanford Shopping Center. There are free parkings everywhere. Highly recommend you go early and make reservations in advance. The restaurant as well as the shopping center tend to fill up really fast, especially in the weekends. Do not be surprised if you walk in a furniture store. Simply take the elevator to the 3rd floor and you'll reach the rooftop restaurant. The cute glass ceiling and indoor greenery bring the outside in and you'll feel a sense of openness and freedom. The ambience was a win already for us. We were quickly checked in and led to our table. The staff who would be taking our order was busy chatting up the next table. When he got to us, he showed a different attitude. Instead of chatty chitty and chirpy attitude, he was matter-of-fact-ly despite us smiling at him. The staff who brought us food were considerate though. However, the staff who took our order returned at the end to take our plates away. He startled my sister a bit by not asking and just took her plate away. Other than this tiny uneasy experience, our food and drinks were great. We both order Italian Benedict's and believe it was the best item on the menu. It was made to perfection and the portion was so perfect. Otherwise, we totally enjoyed the ambience and the food, minus a tiny interesting experience. We ended leaving a big tip though. Our parents work in the service industry and we understand the importance of leaving nice tips. However, service could have been a bit better :)

First time at RH and it was nothing less than great! The restaurant is beautiful, but a little noisy if you don't mind that. The service was great and our server was very accommodating to us trying different wines and sauces. The steak frittes and the grilled shrimp were our favorites for the night! This restaurant is for sure worth trying and delicious!

We love the ambiance, food, seabass is little bit too small, banana pudding is yummy.

RH Rooftop Restaurant boasts a beautiful view of Stanford Shopping Center. Upon entering, you will find on the first and second floors an upscale furniture store. Under the third floor, you will find the rooftop restaurant with glass ceilings, illuminating natural sunlight. We ordered artichoke chips and truffle fries, which are a must, signature burger which was nothing life-changing unfortunately, and salmon dish, which tasted so fresh. We decided on this restaurant for a birthday, and although the menu was a little pricey for what the food was worth, we definitely enjoyed the friendly service, beautiful views and photo ops.

I'm sorry but the food was terrible! Everything was salty, the amount of salt on the carpaccio toro caviar. Like the caviar is already salty by itself. Then the lobster roll was also salty with the salted butter and caviar, it needed more crème fresh. Then I couldn't stop laughing at the "salad" which was worth $40 for a head of lettuce (not cut up) green beans on top and then the salmon on the side. It took an hour for the lazy salad to come out too lmfaooo Come here for the ambiance but the food was not good.

Classic Caesar Salad, Mini Lobster Rolls

We came to RH Rooftop Palo Alto to celebrate my birthday, and while most of the evening was wonderful, the experience unfortunately ended on a sour note. This was our first time here, and the ambiance was the main reason we chose this spot--and it absolutely delivered. The space is stunning, with beautiful decor, and we arrived just in time to watch the sunset through the glass, which made the celebration feel really special. The food overall was very good. We ordered the rosé spritz, cappelletti spritz, classic Caesar salad, mini lobster rolls, truffle fries, petit filet mignon, and branzino. The Caesar salad was amazing and honestly renewed my love for this salad--so fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. The truffle fries were a standout and easily the best truffle fries I've had (and I try them everywhere). The truffle flavor really came through, and the dip was incredible--we just wished there was more of it. The petit filet mignon with béarnaise was a showstopper: perfectly cooked medium rare, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and my boyfriend said it easily beat some actual steakhouses. The branzino was good but not particularly memorable; we've had better elsewhere, and there were a few bones we had to be careful of. Service was excellent throughout most of the evening. Our server and host were gracious and professional, plates were cleared promptly, drinks were refilled, and overall the staff was attentive and efficient. However, the end of the night left a sour note. As we were walking down the stairs to leave, a woman was walking up to the third floor with a drink in her hand. As she spotted us, she made a comment along the lines of "keep going downstairs" to us. It felt unnecessary and rude, especially since we were already leaving and not planning to browse furniture. If she was enforcing policy, the comment itself--and having a drink in hand while seemingly on the clock--came off as unprofessional and left a bad taste after an otherwise lovely experience. Still not sure who she was or her role there, but if she does indeed work there-- please work on your customer service skills! Overall, the ambiance and standout dishes made this a memorable birthday dinner, and I'd still recommend it--just hoping for a smoother, more gracious finish next time.

Came here today for weekday lunch with my wife and the place was quite full for a weekday but I can definitely see why! The setting and ambiance are fantastic especially on a nice sunny clear skies day like today. I have been to the RH Restaurant in the North Bay before and they have a similar setting. It looks like they have expanded their lunch menu now because it used to be sandwiches, rolls and salads but now they more starters and true entree options. The prices are on the higher side but you get rewarded with good food, great atmosphere and excellent service! A shout out to our wonderful server Raquel who was absolutely fantastic! So friendly, nice and informative! We got the following for lunch: Avocado carpaccio (10/10) - such a flavorful, unique but yet simple dish Prosciutto deluxe board (10/10) - the bread was warm, the cheese was soft and I could not stop eating it all Seabass (9/10) - big chunk of meaty and tasty fish flavored to perfection Grilled whole branzino (9/10) - grilled nicely and simple but delicious. I expected to have to debone the fish while eating but I was surprised that they had deboned it already. Nice! American style baked potato (8/10) - this was smaller than I expected but still very flavorful Chocolate chip cookies (10/10) - These were big and well balanced by the sea salt. Yummy soft baked and full of chocolate Go for the atmosphere and service for sure for a very nice fine meal! Well done RH!

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. It's so pretty inside with all open windows like a greenhouse. Loved the ambiance. The food and service was as expected for the price point(: this is definitely a nice place for a get together or celebration. Here's what I got: Mini lobster crab rolls: 10/10 so buttery and tasty Chinese chicken salad: 8/10 the flavor was great but I feel it was mostly fried wonton Whole grilled branzino: 9/10 grilled super well Steak frites: 10/10 fries were fried perfectly and the steak had a great char (forgot to take a picture)

    Shaved ribeye.

RH is a fun elegant date spot for special people in your life. The 270 degree view of Marin, the mountains and Oakland from the top of the building are excellent. Today we had grilled avocado with caviar, prosciutto and Delice board. We first had the grilled avocado and caviar at the San Francisco location. Today we sat near the water fountain in the middle of the restaurant giving us some excellent views. Tables are adorned with white linens and the service is always friendly and attentive. Give them a try. Hope all pictures posted make it to the review. Sometimes they disappear and then reappear from the review page.

My family and I stopped by Marvel Cake during Mother's Day for a sweet treat on Sunday. This location is in the strip of Downtown Palo Alto and has limited parking (similar to the rest of the stores there, there is a lot of parking, and you will need to get lucky). My mom does like the Marvel Cake in their first location, so we swung by here to try this one out! Location-wise, this is a smaller shop than the original one in West San Jose with limited seating inside. I would say it's not work from home friendly however, I did see a college student next to me on her laptop so maybe I am incorrect here! The interior is nice and light, matching the elegance of the desserts. We ordered three items on the menu: the pillow cake, the bisou, and the blueberry lavender roll. Here are some thoughts: * Pillowcase cake: It may seem like this would be a fluffy cake due to the nature of its shape, but it is a gelatinous Jell-O cake with fruit jam. It was not bad, and tasted refreshing and light. I didn't know if I liked it at first, but ultimately I did come back for seconds and thirds, so this is approved. * Blueberry lavender roll cake: This was not at all what we were expecting. I did not taste any lavender, nor did it have a strong blueberry flavor. I think what threw our party off was the layer of gelatin that surrounded the cake. Texturally, we were not a big fan. * Bisou: This one was our favorite one. I appreciated the nutty crust in the bottom layer of the cake, while the filling was soft and bouncy. It is very sweet, however, but overall, I really enjoyed this one and feel like it would go great with a cup of coffee. What made the experience here a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 was the service we got. We weren't greeted when we came in, which, to be fair, is totally fine, maybe they were busy. However, the person helping us stared at us the whole time and did not really communicate well with us. When I tried to order the cakes for my family, they looked bothered that we were there, and I was not sure if they understood what pastries I was ordering because they did not repeat it back to us at all or confirm anything. When I did place the order, they slowly grabbed the plates and looked visually confused, which again, if they wanted to, I could have repeated it back to them. After they gathered everything, they put it in front of us and rang me up. The whole time, they did not say a word to me at all. Did not reconfirm anything, did not acknowledge we were there, did not say thank you. It was a bit strange, and I had to check with my family if it was me or if that was a really weird experience (it wasn't me).

And also located in a very adorable shopping/restaurant grid, so the surrounding shops and streets are also so nice to walk around in! I was overwhelmed with the delicious options in flavors for the coconut pudding desserts! From persimmon (my favorite), to durian, to mango sticky rice, to black sesame...oh my god asian flavor galore. My friend and I got several flavors because we couldn't just pick one! We tried: Persimmon Mochi - This was my absolute favorite. The mochi at the top wasn't chewy by any means, but it had such a nice goopy mouth feel that was very different from the tofu-like pudding. The persimmon itself was so fresh and sweet, just simply addicting. I loved it so much I ordered another one to bring home. Durian - If you like durian, you'll like this. While the flavor was delicious and fresh, I wasn't particularly wowed because all the other flavors seemed to have some extra huzzah going for it. The durian one was mainly some mashed durian on top of the coconut pudding, without any pomp and circumstance. Don't get me wrong, still delicious, just a bit more straightforward than I expected. Mango Sticky Rice - LOVED this one!! This was a 3 layer dessert, with mango at the top, coconut pudding in the middle, and purple sticky rice at the bottom. The rice was an excellent chew texture, and the layered spoonfuls were divine! I would definitely get this flavor again!!! Black Sesame - I loved how the black sesame portion on the top was its own texture/consistency! I liked how thick it was, and fragrant. We also ordered the corn latte and the matcha cloud! The corn one was bit too grainy for me, especially towards the latter half, but the matcha cloud was SO good. The matcha was a deep earthy flavor, definitely quality! And the cream at the top was to die for. The interior is so adorable, and very comfortable to sit and catch up with a friend in! The staff is so nice, and I love that with every order, they hand you a cute little paper bag with utensils and napkins already set in it. Everything was just packaged in such a careful and whimsical way. Just such a treasure of a desert spot! There is a 3hr free parking garage only a block away. Various street parking spaces available too, but it gets pretty hard to find a spot since this area is so busy.

Very disappointed with the food. Ordered 2 soft serve and…read more3 drinks ~$40 with tax & tip. The vanilla soft serve has the creamy texture but graining and tastes like watery milk with no flavor at all. The drinks are sweet even with 25% sweet level. I got the egg pudding with jasmine tea, drink is fine but the egg pudding is grainy/choppy and was not made well. Another drink was with boba and it's actually agar agar or crystal boba. Service is quick for our order but would not come again.

The monthly special flavors are always exciting and give you a good reason to come back regularly. Personal favorites include the Coffee and Love Nuts flavor and the Nuts and Chocolate Gooey Brownie, both rich and very satisfying. Another highlight is the freshly baked waffle cones and waffle cups, which add great texture and aroma to the overall experience. The staff are consistently courteous and welcoming, and they are happy to offer samples, so do not hesitate to try a few flavors before deciding. Portion sizes can be quite generous, and at times the regular scoop feels too big, so opting for a kids scoop can be a good choice.

I've never anything like this and it was so delicious! It wasn't heavy or overly sweet. You can definitely taste the rose and they didn't go cheap with the pistachios either! There were pistachios in each bite. The cake was moist and light/fluffy. Baklavas are to die for here!! I love all the different pastries they had. They had everything from cookies, baklavas, and cakes! It makes such a nice gift! I had them make me a box for my doctor's office which they handpicked all dozen treats. It all looks sooooo good! The staff were so nice and helpful! The guy took the time to explain the pastries and even recommended the popular pastries. They know their menu so well! You can also get a whole cakes here if you wanted! My husband like the latte here as well! Very smooth! Ambiance is nice! Pretty spacious and very nicely maintained especially being its location in middle of their downtown area! Thanks for having such awesome staff and providing amazing customer service! Wish we had this in Vegas!

I tried one of their cream rose cake slice topped with pistachios and rose petals it looked lovely and was clearly made with care. That said, the dessert was very sweet for my personal taste. The sweetness overpowered the other flavors, and I wasn't able to finish it. If you enjoy rich, syrupy desserts, this may be right up your alley, but it was a bit much for me. I also tried the kanefeh cheese cake, it was fairly good. Overall, it's a nice spot with authentic offerings, and I'd be open to coming back to try other items Their customer service is excellent
