[[HIGHLIGHT]]To walk into RH was transformative. The Palo Alto location is already nestled into what can only be described as beautiful land, this restaurant is like a world of its own.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]RH rooftop is located on the 3rd floor of the establishment and honestly it felt like I was dining in another country.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was top tier, menu choices were vast and the food itself was umami in flavor. Not only will I now have to visit the other locations but I'd highly recommend RH for any celebration or personal needs aka just because.

This place lives up to the rave reviews! Came here with a group and we had an absolutely magical evening! Of course, this place gets very crowded, even during weekdays. So be sure and make reservation. I had to actually increase the number of people in our reservation and I was so happy that they were able to accommodate us! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Of course, the decor is stunning and gorgeous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sometimes, the food can be not quite as impressive. That is not the case here! Service was extremely professional and friendly. And the food was delicious! Highlights are the lobster sliders with caviar. Also we loved the steak, salmon, salad, baked potato with caviar. Do not miss the chocolate chip cookies for dessert, absolutely amazing!

After dropping off Chase at UNIVERSAL PET HOSPITAL for his leg surgery the morning of Sunday, March 22, 2026, we decided to go out for breakfast or brunch. Mom recommended RH, THE ROOFTOP RESTAURANT at RH PALO ALTO. She called the restaurant and was able to book a 10 AM reservation for three. Located at the Stanford Shopping Center, we were able to easily and quickly find parking in the spacious lot. We arrived a little early, so walked around the Restoration Hardware showroom for a bit before walking up the stairs to the upscale restaurant perched on the third floor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The mansard space, with its floor to ceiling glass walls and roof, emulates a giant dazzling sunroom with trees growing out of the floor and elegant glass chandeliers hanging above nearly every table. The modern fountain and airy ambiance provide a relaxing setting for a nice meal while soaking in the glam surroundings and sunshine or admiring the beautiful sunsets. Outdoor seating is also available in their wraparound patio with comfy couches[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. RH PALO ALTO offers elevated American eats, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu leans into opulent, fancified takes on classics, serving decadent dishes like CAVIAR CARPACCIOS (ranging from $18 to $28) and other CAVIAR SPECIALTIES such as GRILLED AVOCADO WITH CAVIAR ($38) and IMPOSSIBLY THIN HOUSEMADE CHIPS & DIP (15g $55, 30g $95). Below are what we ordered: LOBSTER ROLL ($36) - Z found this to be very good, I thought it was meh. The lobster could have used a bigger Dash of Mayo. On the small side. SWEDISH PANCAKES ($18) with fresh strawberries (for an extra charge) - I was disappointed that these pancakes were not served with the traditional lingonberry butter. These were not even warm enough to melt the slices of butter that topped them. KING CRAB ROLL ($58) - Also a petite serving, but this sandwich was tastier than the lobster version. Z said that it was very good, just like the lobster. HERITAGE PORK SAUSAGE ($12) - Flavourful; however, served cold. TRUFFLE FRIES ($20) - Fried to a perfectly golden crisp. RH BELLINI ($18) - Kudos to RH for serving an authentic bellini with genuine peach purée. This cocktail was yummy. Supposedly the BELGIAN WAFFLE was so remarkable to draw Mom back multiple times. Unfortunately, we were told that that they were no longer serving waffles. Mom was very disappointed by this. To boot, service was nothing to rave about. It seemed to be a bit challenging to catch the attention of our waitress to inform her that all of our dishes were served cold. When we finally got the chance to tell her, she didn't say much and appeared to leave us hanging. Later, the manager on duty came to speak with us, replaced most of the cold dishes, and comped an item. Still, this did not remedy Mom's dismay. She said that she will not return.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a beautifully bougie spot! It's the perfect destination for a lunch date or a girls get together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's located on the top floor with a luxury hotel feel, and with the patio doors open, the space was wonderfully bright and airy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is sophisticated, and the service is detail oriented and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the RH burger, lobster roll, fries, butterscotch brulee, and a cappuccino. The lobster roll was a bit small for the price, and while the burger was tasty, it was a little salty for my taste. However, the cappuccino was fantastic, and the overall food was good just be prepared for a pricey bill

I had dinner reservations, and we were seated right on time. I ordered the salmon, and it was absolutely delicious. My partner had the steak, and he said it was very tender and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was elegant and beautiful--it honestly felt like dining in the White House. The restaurant had a very upscale, sophisticated atmosphere that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful evening and would definitely return.

I can see why RH Rooftop Restaurant has such mixed reviews but after finally visiting for lunch, I'm really glad we gave it a chance. I had been hesitant to come because of what I had read, but one of my girlfriends suggested we make a reservation and try it for ourselves. Even with reservations there was still a bit of a wait to be seated, but honestly we didn't mind at all. Walking through the space and browsing the beautiful furniture displays made the time pass quickly and added to the overall experience. Where things slowed down a bit was with the service. From placing our order to receiving the food, everything took longer than expected. It wasn't terrible, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. That said, the food absolutely delivered. We started with the caviar and potato chips, which felt indulgent and fun to share. For lunch we both ordered the lobster roll, and it was spectacular fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the blackberry mocktail while my friend had the spritz, and both drinks were refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. The real standout, though, was dessert. We ordered the banana split-style brûlée dessert (I wish I remembered the exact name), and it was easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The textures and sweetness were perfectly balanced and it was the ideal way to end our lunch. Overall, I would absolutely come back and would recommend it just make sure you have a little extra time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

I went to RH Rooftop after seeing so many videos about how great it was online, and while I do have to say the restaurant was quite pretty and our server was so sweet, nothing really stood out to me otherwise. I didn't love the starters, which were the prosciutto board and the caviar blinis. I found the meat and cheese board to be pretty lackluster and would definitely recommend people to just skip if they're contemplating it. The caviar blinis were very light but truly didn't stand out to me either. However, my boyfriend loved them so maybe try if you're into a light, airy starter. I did enjoy the branzino because of the nice lemon flavor, but I do think it could have used more lemon and a tiny bit of salt. The salad was tasty, and if you lots of onions in your salad then I would recommend. Steak and fries were fine as well. Overall, the food was decent but nothing really stood out to me, and for the price, I've definitely had better. Probably wouldn't go again but I did want to give a special shoutout to our server (can't remember her name). She was the sweetest and really accommodating. She also gave us some chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream on-the-house after we told her it was our anniversary!

This RH Rooftop Restaurant has become one of our favorite places to go for brunch in the Bay Area. It's located on the outskirts of the Stanford Shopping Center. There are free parkings everywhere. Highly recommend you go early and make reservations in advance. The restaurant as well as the shopping center tend to fill up really fast, especially in the weekends. Do not be surprised if you walk in a furniture store. Simply take the elevator to the 3rd floor and you'll reach the rooftop restaurant. The cute glass ceiling and indoor greenery bring the outside in and you'll feel a sense of openness and freedom. The ambience was a win already for us. We were quickly checked in and led to our table. The staff who would be taking our order was busy chatting up the next table. When he got to us, he showed a different attitude. Instead of chatty chitty and chirpy attitude, he was matter-of-fact-ly despite us smiling at him. The staff who brought us food were considerate though. However, the staff who took our order returned at the end to take our plates away. He startled my sister a bit by not asking and just took her plate away. Other than this tiny uneasy experience, our food and drinks were great. We both order Italian Benedict's and believe it was the best item on the menu. It was made to perfection and the portion was so perfect. Otherwise, we totally enjoyed the ambience and the food, minus a tiny interesting experience. We ended leaving a big tip though. Our parents work in the service industry and we understand the importance of leaving nice tips. However, service could have been a bit better :)

We went there on a Monday late afternoon lunch. We had reservation but on a Monday, the restaurant was pretty empty unlike on a weekend. Their food options are almost all at $$ price. But they do have some good food options. Their chicken dishes are my favorite. There is unfortunately less options for Vegans. Their beer is very good. So is most of their wines. This restaurant is more of a date-night kind of place and not so much of a family friendly place, especially with young kids. The staff is friendly and the ambience is top class. This place definitely checks out for their good vibes but not so much for the food.

We celebrated our anniversary at RH to match our initials. It was a wonderful evening, from the host to the server we were treated kindly and with respect. The food was cooked to perfection and delicious. I appreciated that they took notice that we both ordered non-alcoholic mocktails, so when we were gifted anniversary blinis, they were alcohol free blinis. Super cute and the attention to detail stood out to us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere, lighting, food and service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!

We were in the area and wanted to get breakfast. We were close so decided to come here. We came in as a walk in. The place is absolutely gorgeous. We sat at a booth. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The place is very bright and airy. The service here flows smoothly. I ordered a chicken sandwich and we also ordered pancakes, bacon, and sausage. My son absolutely loved the food and it's hard for a 7 year old to eat everything. My children sandwich was delicious it was rotisserie check but very moist. We had a great experience and my son is requesting to go back.

RH Rooftop Restaurant boasts a beautiful view of Stanford Shopping Center. Upon entering, you will find on the first and second floors an upscale furniture store. Under the third floor, you will find the rooftop restaurant with glass ceilings, illuminating natural sunlight. We ordered artichoke chips and truffle fries, which are a must, signature burger which was nothing life-changing unfortunately, and salmon dish, which tasted so fresh. We decided on this restaurant for a birthday, and although the menu was a little pricey for what the food was worth, we definitely enjoyed the friendly service, beautiful views and photo ops.

Is the ribeye served with any sauce? If not, can one ask for some (like A1 steak sauce)?

Dairy allergy here. Does the charred rib eye use dairy like butter?

    What is the dress code?

I don't think they have a specific dress code but it is a pretty fancy restaurant so I would dress accordingly; casual or dressy casual, jeans and nice top. No flip flops or super casual tanks. Hope that helps.

    Any vegan or vegetarian options?

They do not have any vegetarian entrees but they do have veggie starters, salads, and side dishes: crispy artichokes, burrata cheese, gem & arugula salads, truffle fries, grilled veggies, whipped potatoes, etc.

    Is this business dog friendly?

The RH restaurant is an upscale restaurant without an outdoor patio, and it appeared they do not allow dogs inside.

Do they take walk ins? Or just reservation's?

The RH Restaurant does accept walk-ins, but due to its popularity, reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak dining times like weekends and evenings. Walk-in availability may depend on the day and time, so calling ahead to check on… Read more

Definitely worth getting the umami fries as they were seasoned to perfection. A perfect starting side! Horsefeather is a perfect brunch spot to stop by and try in this Old Town and Country Palo Alto plaza. I have never heard of this chain nor in their other locations before and was definitely satisfied afterwards with their great dishes and their aesthetically modern decorated interior. The dishes here are American so you'd get what you typically get for breakfast from scrambles to French Toast, and we ordered the French Toast, the Chicken and Waffles, and a Salad during our visit here. All of what was ordered was perfect and beautifully plated upon arrival and out of all that was ordered, I have to say the chicken and waffles with their matcha butter & syrup was their standout dish. I have never seen matcha infused with butter but it was perfect and complimented the waffle just right. The chicken was fried and juicy inside and the waffle in general was toasted with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and soft interior. French Toast was a definite close contender too, where the toast was still gooey soft as expected and served with syrup & cream on the side. Salad was good but nothing too extraordinary about it. The staff here were all very nice and on a busy lunch day, I was surprised & pretty sure just lucky was able to get a table in less than 10 min on a Sunday. For weekend brunch, Horsefeather is a perfect spot to visit & enjoy the pre-afternoon before enjoying Palo Alto. RIBEYE (5/5) Had no expectations that this ribeye would be anything special, but it was surprisingly excellent quality. We absolutely loved it and the side of broccolini that came with it (super flavorful). 3. EYLAN CRISPY CHICKEN (5/5) Crispy exterior without excessive batter, super tender + juicy chicken, and great aioli to pair. The chicken comes out piping hot (be careful) with seasoning that adds the slightest kick. 4. CHILLED GREEN GRAPE CHAAS (4.75/5) Such a refreshing start to the meal. The flavors and textures were all perfect. The only reason this isn't a 5/5 is because, surprisingly, the semolina balls are slightly different sizes, so some were too big to have in one bite. 5. WOODFIRE CHICKEN SEEKH (4.5/5) Another chicken dish that comes out piping hot. Again, extremely tender chicken (texturally, maybe they marinaded the chicken in yogurt?). They kept emphasizing that a skewer only comes with 3 pieces, but each piece was actually quite large so we're glad we didn't over-order. Both the chicken and the chutney it comes with are very spicy though, so be prepared. 6. KOHLRABI & PINEAPPLE (4.5/5) The surprises kept coming. Honestly, had no idea what this was when I tried it, but the best way to describe it for others who have never had something like this before is an unbelievably flavorful Indian version of kimchi (without the fermentation). Thin slices of kohlrabi and pineapple with smokiness, sweetness, and crunch, smothered in a delicious glaze. WOW. 7. FROZEN SHRIKHAND (4.5/5) Another surprise win! The epitome of not-too-sweet. A very refreshing and easy-to-share dessert that is both light and rich at the same time. 8. KING TRUMPET MUSHROOM (4.25/5) A simple dish that reminded me of Mongolian skewered mushrooms. Nice smokey flavor paired with a flavorful seasoning sprinkled on top. 9. HISPI CABBAGE (4.25/5) Another nice vegetable dish where the cabbage is not only cooked nicely, but it's swimming in a thick curry that you can eat with your breads. 10. WOODFIRED NANTE CARROT (4.25/5) Like a sweet and savory crepe. Small but mighty, and another unexpectedly tasty item where the looks deceived you into think it was a simple item. 11. GULF SHRIMP (4/5) This was a nice dish but I found the shrimp to be slightly overcooked and slightly fishy. Not bad at all, but probably not something I'd order again. 12. EYLAN CHICKEN YAKHNI PULAO (4/5) Super interesting flavor I've never had before in a rice dish, and extremely generous with the amount of chicken used in this. Loved the crispy shallots as a garnish on top. Rice was a little dry. 13. CHARRED BLACK COD (4/5) Crispy skin and piping hot. The fish itself was not tough but it wasn't melt-in-your-mouth tender -- definitely firm. Had the slightest fishiness to it in my opinion but it's still not bad. I think the move here is Eylan's meats though. 14. FLAXSEED POEE (3.75/5) Loved that it came out freshly-baked, easy to share, and super fluffy. Very high quality but the flaxseed flavor wasn't my favorite and there was something about the avocado saag that made it taste more like a condiment than something to eat with the poee. 15. BERRY MAKHANA KHEER (2/5) This is just a personal preference. These kinds of desserts are not for me flavor-wise. Also difficult to eat since we were given flat plates and this is a liquid dessert. ------ ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: * This is a truly beautiful restaurant. It's clear that they put a lot of attention into each detail and decoration, reminiscent of Copra in SF or Ettan nearby (sister restaurants). * They play music semi-loudly in the restaurant which creators a very lively atmosphere that I actually quite liked, but you can also ask them to turn down the music if it ever gets bothersome. * The restaurant is located alongside a main road in Menlo Park, but it's a bit more tucked away from the road such that it doesn't feel too exposed. ------ SERVICE: * Maybe because we were a large group, but they gifted us a plate of delicious Naankhatai (Indian Ghee Cardamom Shortbread) after dessert and those cookies were divine. We asked for the last couple to be packed up, and to our surprise, they gave us a whole new batch of cookies! That's excellent service. * They were diligent about filling our waters, wiping down our tables, and providing enough serving spoons for all our dishes.

The ambience is beautiful and I fell in love with the art and aesthetics. The food is uniquely…read morepresented with delicious flavor combinations. They have the option of doing a tasting menu or à la carte. Service was great. I think they ask for reservations but walk ins are also welcome and accepted. Parking is in the attached garage conveniently located.

We recently celebrated my mom's 74th birthday there, and the team made the occasion feel incredibly special. They welcomed her back like family, making it feel less like a birthday celebration and more like a heartfelt "welcome back." They even surprised her with a candle on our favorite carrot cake--a simple but thoughtful gesture that meant so much to all of us. Our family favorites are the Vegetarian Minestrone and the house garlic bread--both are always absolutely scrumptious and consistently delicious. It's comforting to know that every visit brings the same fresh, flavorful food we've come to love. A special thank you to Estanphy, Ishmael (the amazing barista), and Owen, who always greet us with genuine kindness and professionalism. Their warmth makes every visit feel personal and memorable. And to the talented prep cooks and chefs working behind the scenes--thank you for the care, consistency, and passion you put into every meal. You're the reason everything is so fresh, delicious, and dependable every single time. It's rare to find a place that delivers both incredible food and such heartfelt hospitality, visit after visit. Cafe Barrone isn't just a café--it's a place where people are remembered, celebrated, and genuinely cared for. Thank you to the entire team for making our family's moments, both big and small, so meaningful. We can't wait to come back!

The food did take quite a while to come out though. $80+ after tip. My husband and I agreed that we are happy we tried it however we think we can get better brunch for the price point. I understand it's a little more expensive because of this area. our favorite thing was the French toast. If we do come back, I think we will get just the French toast and drinks.

Lots of light, flavorful seafood options with creative and fun twists to look forward to (grilled shiso? Yes please). There are also richer items (milk bread, sesame pancake as an example) Recommend: - any of the fish: coconut fritter with salmon, kampachi, halibut - steak was fantastic - salads: loved the little gems with dashi Overall, phenomenal spot with friendly and fast service. Would come back!

It's so soft and with the butter melting on it it's just the perfect texture and a little sweet. I could eat a whole loaf of this. Must get. The sesame pancakes reminded me of a chinese dish. The avocado and salmon dip was interesting! I didn't expect that. It took some getting used to. The yellowfin rice was good, though raw fish being warm is a little weird to me. I don't think this is a must get. I liked the flavors otherwise. The octopus was one of my favorites. I loved the sauce for it and the jalapeños were a nice touch! The pork chop was one of my favorites as well!! I love how it was experimented with peaches; I'd never think to try those together but it works. The short rib steak was amazing! It's suuuper tender and I'm still thinking about it. Though I probably wouldn't eat it with the green beans; it didn't seem to go well together but it did with the mushrooms. The service is great here; they even took a napkin that was hung on my chair and folded it neatly onto the table again. I wish the portion sizes were bigger here overall, when you share with four people you're only getting like a bite each and for the prices even though it's a fancier place I'd expect to get a litttleee more (i've seen other fancy places have bigger sizes)

Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant's atmosphere is bright and comfy. It's definitely on the pricier side but when I've been the food has been consistently tasty and fresh. What we tried: - Millionare's bacon sampler patter - comes with the original, citron, cinnamon, and rosemary flavors. This was my first time actually trying their millionare's bacon, which is a thick cut bacon coated in a sweet and mildly spicy glaze. Definitely a fun dish to share and sample - Tornado galbi omurice - soft scrambled egg over veggie fried rice, galbi, and demi-glace. Overall a solid dish, the egg is cooked to such a soft and silky texture and the galbi was so good - wish they were a bit more generous with the galbi portion size - Big hip - deep fried French toast topped with butter and fruits. My first time trying this dish as well and I really enjoyed the texture of the French toast - hearty but not overly heavy. It's quite a large portion size so great for sharing Parking: street parking or in the nearby public lots
