Been wanting to try this place because so many of my friends recommended it, and it did not disappoint! We went on a Sunday and it was PACKED, but their table system was super efficient and we got seated sooner than expected. Great ambiance with lots of indoor/outdoor seating. Very family and large-group friendly, plus dogs are welcome outside and they even have a dog menu! Ordering through the QR system made it super easy when dining with a group, and the food came out SO fast. We tried the Besio pizza, roasted chicken & kale salad, garlic Parmesan fries, and six-layer chocolate cake. The pizza was a classic wood fired pizza with a great crust and so much flavor from the spicy fennel sausage. A great size for sharing. The salad was good but a little small for the price. The fries were crispy and garlicky (a little lacking on the Parmesan but still good). The cake was 100/10. Light, airy, and not overly sweet. That's a must order! Can't wait to come back and try more!
Can't go wrong here at Alpine Inn. Sure, it's a little rustic only a few minutes from VCs and The Farm. It's an ol' staple out this way. I always gravitate to the Smoked Kansas Style Pulled Pork Sandwich With Fries, but my buddy always gets the French Dip, adding a side of Chip & Guac. Add shady, outdoor eating in the fresh air, and the beer garden is good place to chill.
I must say, I am impressed! The Michelada was absolutely delicious and honestly I'm very picky with my Micheladas. It tasted like the ones that I make at home for myself! Also, the food was phenomenal! It was my first time here and the outdoor seating is beautiful. Plenty of seating, but this place gets very, very packed. I went on a weekday and it was hard to find parking and hard to find a table. If you ever wanna come here, I suggest you come as soon as they open. This place is family friendly and a great place to socialize. I really enjoyed coming here with some friends and sharing some great food. I'd definitely come back with my family! Also the service is FAST! As soon you order, the food is literally coming out which is insane!
Great outdoor environment to sit down and enjoy some drinks/food with friends. I imagine this would be a great place to watch some football during the CFL/NFL season. I had the patty melt, which wasn't as toasted as most are but the flavor was there. Loaded with sauce, and was excellent on the marbled rye. Recommend this if you're big on patty melts. Wife had the bacon jam sliders, which were also super good, especially for them being app size sliders.
Super good value, good food, clean facilities, and reasonable prices. Their pizza smells so good and looks very colorful and appetizing with fresh ingredients. We tried the ribs this time, tasty w/o the sauce. The ribs are not super fatty or oily; too bad I don't like the pickled veggie. The added fries or slaws are extra charge though. Service is good, food came quickly and although there's self service of getting the utensils, our waiter came to collect dirty dishes at the end of the meal and gave us extra water refill.
My friend took me to Alpine because he wanted to show me a good time and give me a taste of the unique options in California. Atmosphere- 5/5: Alpine Inn has a relaxed but upscale vibe and I'm all about it. The outdoor seating is picturesque under the beautiful trees. It's truly a remarkable space without trying too hard. Food- 5/5 I had a burger with fries. The burger was flavorful and everything tastes fresh and full of quality ingredients. Service- 4/5: It's a unique system where you order on your phone at the table. Service was good but not much interaction with the staff. Value- 4/5: Portions are modest but the food quality is good. I could smell them smoking pork on their outdoor smoker and making wood fired pizzas. I would come again. Overall- 5/5: This is a great spot to take a date, take a friend, or take a coworker. Very unique and all the food was solid.
Fantastic restaurant with amazing ambiance and delicious food. This is now a spot I highly recommend to everyone and is a great place to bring people who are in town. The outdoor woodsy vibe is unmatched, service is speedy, and the food is tasty. Evenings and weekends are very busy, lunch on weekdays less busy. After coming here over 5 times now, my usual go-to dishes for the table are the smash burgers, garlic fries, mac & cheese, Francesco pizza, and the decadent chocolate cake with soft serve. I've also tried the tacos, ribs, brussels sprouts, cornbread, and the The Besio, Amalfi, and Margherita pizza, etc. I think the tacos and ribs are a skip but the pizzas, burgers, and sides are generally solid. Definitely a place I'll be frequenting again and again!

We spent a beautiful afternoon at the Alpine Inn. Good food and great company. The views and ambiance were perfect. The cornbread was my favorite part - and will definitely come back just for her. Parking goes by luck and there was a little wait to get a table for our group. But it really was all worth it. There was a 2 hour table limit, so we had to keep the yap to a minimum and moved to the bar area.
We've eaten here a few times now. With groups, with kids and just ourselves. Everyone we absolutely love it. It's just so easy. No need to worry about being too loud or messy. It's just easy. The food is always really good. Simple, filling and a great price. The service is bare minimum, which we don't mind. They seat us and bring out the food, that's kinda it lol. It's QR CODE and self service after that. We don't mind it, it keeps it casual. Overall this place is a gem!
Visited on a Wednesday evening and was so impressed with the dishes I tried. The venue was still incredible - the beer garden is the perfect summer site. It was absolutely bustling, so it was quite difficult to find a parking spot. There was also a short wait before we were seated. It was honestly impressive how quickly we were seated given the crowd. There are a couple dishes that I tried this time that I highly recommend. The bacon jam sliders were insanely delicious. The sliders were served warm, and they melted in my mouth. The sweet bacon tomato onion jam was the ideal sweet contrast to the rich, meaty patty. The brutus was also so tasty: the calabrian chili caesar dressing was rich and a perfect level of spice. A couple friends told me the besio was a must-try, and I completely agree. The pizza was perfect, with plenty of spicy fennel sausage. The mascarpone, hot honey, and basil paired well with the sausage. Every dish I tried this time was memorable and phenomenal. I absolutely need to visit again!

Pro tip is to first get on the waitlist at the desk out front then wait for their text while playing at the adjacent soccer field, which is so well kept and great for running around and working up an appetite. Everything we ordered was delicious. My favorites were the "Hunter" wood-fired pizza. The crust is amazing - I'd describe it as tender. Great balanced combo of mushroom, sausage, mozzarella, and other toppings. I really liked the marinara-pesto sauce on the meatballs. Solid app. The Rudy's jalapeño burger was solid but not amazing. A little smaller than I expected. Steak frites came as fries topped with some medium-well strips of steak and gravy. This was fun but didn't amaze me.
We came to Alpine Inn for a company brunch, and our boss brought us here. Such a great choice! The place is clearly popular -- the restaurant wasn't even open yet and there was already a line forming outside, so that definitely got us excited to try it. I ordered the burger with fries, and it was SO good! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the fries were crispy and addictive. We also shared a few sides, including the roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the casual outdoor atmosphere too. It's a great place to hang out with a group, enjoy good food, and just relax. Now I understand why people were lining up before they even opened! Definitely a place I'd come back to. Great food, great atmosphere, and worth the wait!

4.5/5 Stars -- Awesome group hangout, get pizza, drinks and the chocolate cake and arrive early! We hadn't been back in a while due to the tricky parking (shared with the adjacent soccer field), but an early lunch after visiting Webb Ranch brought us back. The casual outdoor ambiance is unbeatable for groups, ordering via phone is fast, and prices are fair (~$20 for a great, freshly fired pizza). While the burgers and Brussels sprouts were average, the spicy sausage pizza and the amazing chocolate cake are absolute standouts. Highly recommended--just aim for off-times to secure parking! read more

Parking can be challenging. It's definitely a popular local place. Service was fast and staff members were nice. It has a nice big outdoor space. However the food was just okay. Nothing worth mentioning. We had pizza, Brussels sprouts, meatballs, sliders. read more

One of my favorite restaurants for the outside seating and the food! Honestly anything you order here is delicious. The wait is well well worth it. You are able to get some delicious drinks and snacks while you wait. The steak frites were a 9/10. Fries were crispy and steak was tender. Perfect place to take your family or a date. read more

Rossotti's Alpine Inn is like a hidden gem (except everyone knows about it) - it's like a tavern in the middle of a dirt road with AMAZING wood-fired pizza and bar food. I was also really pleasantly surprised by their prices - for the size, the prices are quite reasonable. The Besio pizza was the star, with sauce, calabrese peppers, hot honey, and mascarpone. HUGE and so many toppings. Will be back! read more
We came for happy hour and got a few things off their happy hour menu. Chili fries 4/5 - this was probably my favorite even though it was a bit salty. Loaded nachos 3/5 - this was pretty standard and nothing special. Good price during happy hour Cheese bread 3/5 - this looked better than it tasted. Came with a side of marinara Their parking lot is big but it was still overflowing on Thursday during happy hour. read more
We were here for a team lunch on a week day. It was group of 10 and the service was great and quick even though there was a rush. Food was delicious, ordered some pizzas, salads, salmon tacos and burgers. Everything was delicious. The outdoor seating is wonderful. We did reservations because it gets crowded quickly. They have free parking area that's not paved parking lot. The outdoor seating area is a great shade with benches and liked the ambience sitting in the heart of mother nature. While we were eating a stellar Jay visited us and it was not at all afraid of us and we could take a picture of it. Highly recommended. read more

One of me and hubbys favorites for date night! Alpine Inn is a hidden gem, with affordable and tasty drinks, yummy food options with a variety, and great ambiance / vibes. Overall: Food 5/5 - super yummy, good portions, flavorful. favorites are steak frites, brussel sprouts, bacon jam sliders, and the meatballs. We usually just order a bunch of different things and share. Service & atmosphere 4/5 - the parking situation can be difficult. there's only their parking lot, and if it's overflowing, there's no other parking available nearby since it's private property. The ordering system via phone is nice so you don't have to wait for a server if it's busy. Wait times can be a little longer on weekends and busy nights. Definitely one of our go to spots and would highly recommend read more
A gem of a place! I cannot believe I have not been after working nearby all these years! Plenty of parking though I heard it gets very full at prime times. Lots of outdoor seating, but do advise coming at off peak times so you can easily get a table as well. Order off the QR code and you can either pay individually or order as a group. Heard the burgers are the best, so I went with the Patty Melt. It was very delicious and the side of fries were tasty as well. I actually preferred them over the garlic fries as the garlic fries were mid. The chips and salsas were good though wish the portion of chips were bigger. I also like how their cocktails are actually strong! A really great spot and will be back to try their pizza and other apps! read more
Had such a great experience at Alpine Inn! Loved the food and the overall ambience--super chill and perfect for hanging out. The best part? They even have a dog menu, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch The service was pretty quick, and even though the line outside looked long, it moved surprisingly fast so the wait wasn't bad at all. Food-wise, everything we tried was delicious--we had the chicken burger, fries, mac & cheese, and chicken wings, and all of it hit the spot. Definitely a place I'd come back to for good food, relaxed vibes, and a dog-friendly outing! read more

Got to try it recently, after a hike nearby. Even though had it bookmarked for a while . It gets pretty busy on weekends and parking is kind of not enough for the number of people that show up. So plan accordingly. I saw cars parked along alpine road as well, where the shoulder was broad enough. They have an open bar only area, and indoor bar + seating and an outdoor bar + seating area as well. The outdoor seating is obviously more popular and will have a wait time. The indoor seating or the bar only area , didn't seem to have waiting when I went. They have some interesting cocktails . Tried the passion fruit margherita , which was really nice . For food, tried the Brussels sprouts and Francesca pizza . Both tasted great. They also have some interesting side sauces. Tried the cilantro crema , which was really tasty and Zott's special sauce ( which was like a spicy mayo probably buffalo or chipotle mixed with mayo ). Will def visit again to try some of their other cocktails and food and just to enjoy the vibe. read more
Peak American food. If I had to go to a casual but a staple American brunch -. And I'm talking the CLASSICS, no fusion whatsoever, I would come here! With friendly staff, a super laidback vibe, and generous portion sizes for the $$, you'll definitely find what you you're craving for. Def get their garlic and Parmesan fries! We had lunch here recently on a warm weekday afternoon. This place gets really packed, so we arrived at 1:30 to avoid the crowds. It was still plenty busy, but at least we did not have to wait for a table. Their service is very efficient. We had barely placed our first order using the mobile ordering system when a runner showed up at our table with a couple of our items. We shared nachos, brussels sprouts, deviled eggs and chicken fingers. Everything was fresh and hot and tasty. Portions were very fair for the price. It's not hard to see why this place is so popular. read more

This place has been on my list for awhile, so was happy to meet up with friends for lunch the other day! Pros- cool spot with a nice outdoor seating area- we were able to enjoy the creek and it's dog friendly to boot! Food, everyone (3 in total) we all enjoyed our entrees very much. There's a huge selection of food and drinks too, so we're planning to come back! There is a huge parking lot, but this place is popular, so I'd suggest getting there early! Cons- long lines, even before they opened! When you order food, the QR code asks if you want forks and knives... those came well after our food was sent to the table (weird timing!) read more
We stopped in here around 10:30 after a hike at the Dish. This feels like a normal pipeline of activities in the area. When we got there, the parking lot was starting to fill up and there were staff directing you where to park which was nice - felt structured. We got into and there are dozens of picnic tables with umbrellas in a beer garden type outdoor space. You order through a QR code so it's easy to go with groups and all have separate orders and payments. I places my order for a breakfast burrito and it was sitting in front of me no more than 5 minutes later. I pounded the entire burrito, but it's enough to have leftovers if you want. Other dishes looked incredible too. As we were leaving (around 12) the parking lot was packed with a line of cars waiting to get in. So plan ahead! I will definitely be back, no doubt about it. This place has such good vibes. Tucked in outskirts of Palo Alto, they have a huge beer garden and a smaller inside bar/restaurant. We went on a Sunday evening and it was super crowded but we got seated right away in the beer garden. You feel like you're dinning in the woods. There's a good list of beer options. Cocktails seemed fun too. But what set this place apart was its service. Food came fast even before our beer and servers check on you regularly. Head chef Donny even made special substitutions for us upon request and unfortunately when they dint go right, he waived off the bill for us. That showed this place takes customer service experience seriously. The food was good too. Besio pizza was good but you gotta love hot honey otherwise don't go for it. The Mac and cheese was the best. The falafel wrap was flavorful and I would get it again. The French onion soup was very sour so we left it as is. The calibrean sausage pasta was decent and lastly the garlic cheese flatbread came fresh and warm, so it hit the spot. read more

Some friends of ours couldn't recommend this place enough and I'm so glad we finally got a chance to try. It's a little off the beaten path but totally worth being in nature. Mostly outdoor seating but plenty warm with the heat lamps. The food was amazing! We ordered so much and it all came out so quickly. So unfortunately I didn't get many pictures bc is our table was loaded and I was too excited to eat. But everything was great. Only thing I wasn't super satisfied with was the Mac n cheese, a little dry and flavorless. The bacon sliders and nachos were my favorite. Also the pizza was phenomenal. Drinks are good too! Such a fun spot to bring friends. But definitely fills up so come early or grab a drink on the side (beer garden) while waiting for a table. read more
Came back after a week away. Still a fun place and great Ambiance. Service is quick and prices are reasonable. The, Steak Nachos, were decent. I recommend sharing the order because it's a larger order. The steak was tender and the chip was crispy, might be made in house. Lots of Pico a Guacamole. The one disappointing thing was the lack of cheese. You hardly taste it. The, Berry Fresh Bramble, has a lot of fresh fruit which made this drink refreshing. I didn't like the limeade, it made the drink tart. I'll be back. read more

Is the patio covered when it rains?
They have a small portion that is covered where the TVs are. The other tables just have sun umbrellas.
The chocolate cake was to die for. Any chance we could order the whole cake for the holidays?
Are there outdoor drinking games such as cornhole?
No. And because they are so popular for food and drink, there is a time limit on tables.
I understand they don't take reservations. About how long is the wait on Sunday evenings for dinner?
On a recent Saturday night, we were told 1.5 hours for a table for four, but our table was ready in about 45 minutes. There's also a bar area where you can get a drink while you wait.
Do you take large parties? Maybe 30-50 people?
Nope. They do not take reservations of any size; first-come, first serve. They only seat groups of eight or less
Do they play music here?
They play tunes over their sound system (no live music) that helps to drown out the noise from people around you. Mostly 80's rock or modern country tunes.
How is it outdoors if it rains? Considering there is no indoor option during Covid, and it being rainy season, would be good to know what to expect...
