Japan, mocktail, Spain, and a cocktail with banana liqueur

Amandine has incredible drinks. They're extremely creative and delicious! The staff is very friendly as well, other than the experience below. I just want to comment on how they handled things when their Internet shut down. We wanted to close out but were essentially held hostage lol... It was quite strange. After being held hostage for 20 minutes or so, they eventually figured out they could process payments offline. This experience was super strange and I hope they learn from it. Other than that, love the drinks and the cozy ambiance and easy parking!

Drink Quality: N/A (Creative Cocktails) Service: ***** (Fantastic) Ambiance: **** (Romantic, Lively) Value: **** (Fair) Amandine Lounge is a fantastic spot for a romantic drink! Despite being crowded, we managed to snag seating in their cozy back room, which had a lovely atmosphere. It was a bit loud, but in a good, lively way that added to the buzz. The service was absolutely fantastic; my drink was a bit flat, and they proactively removed it from the bill even though I thought it wasn't bad at all. Their cocktails are truly creative and worth venturing into for something new and exciting.

We checked out Amandine Lounge on a Friday night and decided to sit outside -- the patio had the kind of relaxed, laid-back vibe we were looking for. The string lights were a nice touch and made the space feel warm and inviting. It took a few minutes before anyone came by to greet us, but once our server arrived, I asked for some recommendations. I appreciated that he offered some quick recommendations based on my answers. It was a little overwhelming to follow all the names he listed. I asked him about the last drink recommendation and asked him where I could find that in the menu. I just decided to go with that because the list he shared was communicated too fast for me to remember. It took several minutes for our drinks to come out. It didn't seem too busy at the time. When they finally arrived, they were nicely presented and tasted good. I tried the Royal Basil, which had a light citrus flavor -- though I couldn't really taste the basil. Overall, Amandine Lounge has a nice ambiance and a great outdoor setup.

Very cozy laid back vibe, intimate lighting. Staff were nice and good cocktails. We ordered postcard from UK and Moscow Mule, both really good.

The place has craft cocktails, and it's open late. The front room has very swanky speakeasy decor. I tried one drink: 4.5/5: The Swashbuckler is good and boozy: Blended scotch, Laphroaig, Drambuie, Licor 43, Etrog citrus liqueur, Kina $18. On Saturday, they have live music 8-11 in a very intimate separate room. It has great acoustics; you don't get any of the noise from the bar.

Tucked discreetly in the heart of Los Altos is a cocktail haven that completely blew us away. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was pure magic, moody lighting, curated music, and that unmistakable feeling you've stumbled into something special. Erwin, the manager, greeted us like VIPs. His presence is calm, confident, and intentional, clearly someone who takes pride in crafting an unforgettable guest experience. He set the tone for the night, and it only got better from there. Enter Kapono: bartender, mixologist, and lowkey cocktail whisperer. His creations were next-level, but the pisco sours? Hands down the most incredible we've ever had. Perfectly balanced, bright, frothy, silky, with just the right kiss of citrus and that velvety texture that lets you know it was made with serious skill. We were floored. Kapono didn't just serve drinks, he created moments. Every pour felt personal, like he was telling a story with each glass. This speakeasy is the kind of place you hesitate to tell too many people about... because it's just that good. But credit is due--Erwin and Kapono have made something truly special here. Already dreaming about our next round of pisco sours.

Great ambiance and vibes at this little cocktail lounge. Still haven't been able to come by when there is music, but will definitely try again! The cocktails here are great, good mocktail options as well and great bartenders choices. The service here is super friendly and knowledgeable. Loved everyone's energy! Nice place for drinks and to bring friends!

The cocktail was beautifully balanced, with a clean, layered flavor that opened up with every sip. Not too sweet, not too strong--just perfectly crafted. The citrus notes were bright, the finish smooth, and the presentation elegant. Definitely one of the most memorable drinks I've had in a long time

Decent cocktails, blatant fraud: The cocktails here are okay, fine for standard cocktails but nothing special for craft cocktails. The bad part is that they completely lied to me and ripped me off. Particularly Eric Z, apparently. I ordered 3 cocktails, each $18, and asked for the check to close out. The bartender was very weird and didn't present me with the bill beforehand but just took the card that was near me (which was fine, I was at the bar and ready to leave). I didn't see the charges at all. I don't normally worry about this; I often just give my card to close out. But he was clicking a bunch of stuff quickly and his sketchiness made me ask for an emailed receipt which I literally NEVER do. It just felt weird so I thought to do it. The receipt revealed that they charged me for one cocktail that wasn't even on the menu and was $21 instead of $18. I don't care about $3 but this is just weird and obviously wrong. I'm not confrontational (but I'd had 3 cocktails!) so I asked why I was charged for something not on the menu. The bartender said something like it was a special cocktail that's more expensive. I pointed to the menu and said I didn't order a special cocktail I ordered the Gran Negroni (Negroni is my favorite drink) and he said something to the effect of well I also didn't charge you for the soda water (I'd asked for sparkling water and he provided it in little glasses). I said I'm happy to pay for the soda water how much is it (I'm in from out of town so I would have wanted to take the remainder to my Airbnb, like I did last night) and he was like no no it's fine it's just the cocktail was more expensive and we changed the menu recently. Which cannot be true, because he didn't say the menu prices changed but tried to tell me that I'd ordered something special. Whether it's because he thought I was drunk (I wasn't) or stupid (I'm not) I'm not sure. But it obviously wasn't a mistake, since he doubled down on it and gave multiple nonsensical justifications for it. Here's everything I ordered and my receipt, along with pictures of all three cocktails. And my time-stamped venting texts shortly after the time stamp on the receipt. You can see a $21 cocktail doesn't even exist on the menu, and you can see I took a photo of every page of the cocktail menu. There's no such cocktail and no similar cocktail, and if you order the Gran Negroni you'll see it look just like my photo. Since that's what I ordered and what I received... I love negronis and know that's what I got (I also hate grappa, so it's an absurd accusation). So, take from this what you will. At least check your receipt. And avoid Eric Z. I'll never go back, of course.

The ambiance is really nice here. It's dim lit and very romantic. It's also located in a nice area within downtown Los Altos. The drinks were good and the service was really fast and the waitresses were friendly as well. Overall, I'd say this is a great date spot and I'd highly recommend going for generally a good time.

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good. I feel like this was the first time where I understood the price even the the quantity is no where close to be desired. One shrimp is like $6 and I was like whoah. Service is definitely more laid back and it's overall just like a more chill atmosphere. I'm fortunate to work nearby so I'll definitely visit this place a few times after work to blow off some steam... And the drinks! Yes they are good! They are also quite strong! Would come back again but also if you're conscious of budget then I'm not sure if you'll find the same value proposition.

We tried to get here before the end of happy hour which is kinda early, at 5:30pm. Drinks are interesting and different, everything on the menu from the bites to drinks have a little Japanese fusion or influence going on. We pretty much tried every small plate on the menu. Most of it was delicious, a couple were just meh (katsu was not anything special, not was the duck meatball). Other than that, and over all, would highly recommend this spot in general. Btw the bar is from the same proprietor as the restaurant Protégé (across the street). Fun little bar for some music and drinks, they even have a disco ball.

On my most recent trip, our reservation unexpectedly grew by a few people, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We really appreciated how hard they worked to make it happen! The cocktails are next level creative, delicious, and unlike anything you'll find at your average bar. My absolute favorite is the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom shot! And of course, we always order the caviar because... why not? The vibe here is everything. Whether it's girls' night, date night, or a celebration, there's always an amazing crowd. The DJ knows exactly how to read the room and keeps everyone singing along/ dancing with banger after banger. One night there was even a live saxophonist who absolutely stole the show, it made the whole experience feel so special! No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

Outstanding. * Disco Fries: not your average French fries! Loved the pork sausage and pickled red onions, wonderfully tart savory flavor. *Sautéed green beans - next level green beans with a creamy vinaigrette and chopped cashews *Grilled Corn: spiced coconut, cotija and tajin. Unfortunately, we left regretting that decision. From the start, the experience felt unwelcoming when we were seated with our 3-year-old daughter. There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.
