Our server Trixie was very nice. The food came out quickly, and the buffalo cauliflower was hot and crispy and perfectly cooked. My only complaint was that It took an incredibly long time to get the final bill.

Nestled right in the heart of of the village area of downtown Los Altos on Main Street is "The Post"..drum roll please! This was my second visit, met a friend and we had lunch and it was super fantastic. Great array of food and drinks. I opted for the Mac & Cheese Burger which features...beef patty, mayo, tomato, grilled onion, arugula, bacon, fried mac & cheese ball, cheese sauce, brioche. At first when I heard the mac and cheese with the Burger, I was like.ah no", but guess what? I decided to go out on a whim, did it the rest is history...it was that good, no it was that great!! The service and staff and owners were great. Will I be back, you bet!! With comfort food like this..what are you waiting for!! The following are their hours. Fettuccine Bolognese and spicy mango margarita
    Ryan R.

I really like this place! It's right across the street from my taiko lesson spot. They had plenty of seating and were able to accommodate our group of ten easily. The server was super nice and attentive. I love bolognese, so of course I had to get it -- it was delicious! I just wish they had offered to add some fresh cheese on top like other places do. I also got a spicy mango margarita, which was perfect -- not too sweet and not too strong. Hehe.

I tried The Post and it was pretty good. We got brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese balls for appetizers and both were good and the mac and cheese balls were plated very pretty. I would definitely re order the brussel sprouts. The spicy margarita was really good too. I got the pesto pasta for the main course but I didn't really like it and couldn't taste the pesto either. I like the ambiance inside the restaurant. The service was okay but could've been better. I came here on a Friday night and it says it's open late but the kitchen closes super early so we were very rushed both to order and finish our food and drinks.

    Cobb Salad

Sitting around trying to decide on dinner, knowing I'm heading downtown, I thought I would order a salad on the way. I realize it's been years since I've been to the Post. So I called in a simple Cobb salad--nothing fancy. I show up, the guy hands me the card reader, charges my card, then immediately shoves the tip screen in my face as he grades my generosity real time. (FYI, I'm an over tipper) I asked him, hold on, this salad was $32? He says, "Well, not exactly... there's tax." Wow. Thank you, Einstein. Truly groundbreaking. Now because he's standing there holding the device like a hostage negotiator, I feel obligated to hit the highest tip option. Fine. Whatever. Just give me my overpriced lettuce. I walk out, check the actual menu, and see the Cobb salad is $26.50. So not only do they mark it up for call-in orders (+$3 US DOLLARS), but they basically trap you into a 20% guilt tip on top. And the salad? Mid. Extremely mid. (See picture.) So yes, I just paid $38 for a Cobb salad that tasted like it was assembled by someone who hates both salads and humanity. Meanwhile, literally down the street, every salad is under ten bucks and actually good. This is my first time ever posting something like this, but honestly... this level of robbery deserves a write-up. Not sorry for the rant.

Came here on Valentine's Day for sort of a last minute dinner after we decided to go out to eat. We were able to get a reservation pretty last minute so that was appreciated. The restaurant itself was nice, though it was really drafty so we were both pretty cold. Our food was really good, we shared Brussels sprouts and I had one of the February specials - a chicken pesto panini - and my boyfriend has the crispy chicken sandwich. Both were cooked really well and had a nice mix of flavors. Our service was just okay, and I know it was Valentine's Day, but it took awhile for our server to come over when the section that we were seated in was fairly empty. I'd eat here again though, the food was good and not too expensive.

Best place for our team dinner with players and parents!

What a neighborhood gem. The outside seating is great but if you want to watch the big game there are no shortage of tvs. Nice long bar and bottomless mimosa brunch. We made reservations for our sports team and parents and rolled in with 28 people between games. We called ahead and spoke to the owner Vickie, who was so generous and helpful in accommodating our team. She had some appetizers platters ready for us upon arrival and the staff was really helpful. The menu had everything from avocado toast and salads to pasta and burgers. We had the pulled pork sandwich, pasta and ahi tuna stack. All the plates went back clean! Really fresh and healthy choices but also lots of comfort food like Mac and cheese and wings. There is literally something for everyone. They have plenty of dining space and we had our own room in the back for all our tables so it would be a great venue to host a shower or special occasion birthday party. Whenever we are in the area we will for sure be headed back to The Post. Thank you Vickie!

    Bacon & Ham Quiche

Cute place for a birthday lunch! I met a friend and loved the decor inside and had outdoor dining. Comfort food with tons of options of Chicken and Waffles, Burgers, Fries, etc. I ordered the Bacon and Ham Quiche with a side salad. It was so good with buttery crust with tons of veggies and ham on a pomodoro sauce. My friend got the Croque Monsieur with a fried egg on top with melted cheese and savory ham. I loved the presentation of the food. Our waiter did a great job of answering our questions and bringing out our food quickly. We enjoyed a piece of flan and fruit for my birthday! Prices were average and tons of parking behind the restaurant. I want to go back and try out a cocktail!

sooo yummy! great spot for events too! great staff, very friendly, and nice space! i've eaten here so many times & surprised i hadn't left a review yet. our server was super sweet & accommodating! all servers have always been friendly, but our waitress today was so friendly and reassuring regarding allergies!! Lucy was incredible!! thank you for your friendly & positive attitude! to the owner, thank you for having a great restaurant for the community & visitors to love!!

I was here for a company holiday lunch! My second year of enjoying eating out with the whole office staff. It was all of our first time eating here. I will say I wish I took better pictures of the food and the restaurant. I didn't have good lighting and rushed to take pics before we demolished the food LOL. So I only have pictures of the menu. Location is convenient because it was only a few minutes away from the workplace and at the start of Main Street. Parking can be a hit or miss, the parking lots and street parking can get filled pretty quickly. The restaurant alone is beautiful, and you can tell they put in a lot of work to decorate for Christmas and the month of December. There is a centered bar top and flat screen tvs throughout, so I can imagine it gets lively here for sports game days. Our group was seated towards the back, looked like a community table which worked out fine. They offer a seasonal lunch menu, drinks/cocktails menu, and a happy hour menu. Note: The (v) on the menu is for vegetarian not vegan. I wish I knew beforehand, because the appetizers made my stomach bubbly later on due to my lactose intolerance. If we didn't have work right after, I would definitely have tried a cocktail or a nice wine. I enjoyed the appetizers the most! **Appetizers** - Black Bean Empanadas (vegetarian) 5/5 - Buffalo Cauliflower (vegetarian) 5/5 - Crispy Brussel Sprouts 5/5 **Main** - Salmon BLT w/out Bacon (I don't eat red meat or pork) 4/5 -- the sweet potato fries could've been a little more crispy. Also, there was one bad fry in the batch, it had an unpleasant taste. The salmon could've had a bit more seasoning. **Dessert/Drink** - Mexican Chocolate Coconut Cream Gelato 4/5 --it was partially melted and partially icy. The taste was good though! - BlackBerry Lemonade 5/5 I would like to come back for brunch and dine-in on my own. I'd love to try their Creme brûlée French toast or waffles.

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good. I feel like this was the first time where I understood the price even the the quantity is no where close to be desired. One shrimp is like $6 and I was like whoah. I'm fortunate to work nearby so I'll definitely visit this place a few times after work to blow off some steam... And the drinks! Yes they are good! They are also quite strong! Most of it was delicious, a couple were just meh (katsu was not anything special, not was the duck meatball). Other than that, and over all, would highly recommend this spot in general. Btw the bar is from the same proprietor as the restaurant Protégé (across the street). Fun little bar for some music and drinks, they even have a disco ball.

No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. To fully experience what Valley Goat has to offer, lunch or dinner is the way to go. Despite the name, the only goat dish on the menu at the time of this review is the Goat Empanadas. My friend was initially hesitant to order them, but David, our wonderful server, and I encouraged her to give them a try. She was glad she did. There was no gamey flavor whatsoever; the meat tasted more like beef, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. Over several visits, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered and are delighted to have a restaurant of this caliber in our Bay Area backyard. Chef and co-owner Stephanie Izard, winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and an Iron Chef title, owns a total of nine restaurants, primarily in the Chicago area, along with locations in Los Angeles and one at Orlando International Airport. Since we enjoy traveling for great food, we'll definitely be adding some of her other restaurants to our list.

The interior had many live walls (walls filled with viney plants), and ceiling decor of plants as well. Along the restaurant was a long line of monsteras, scattered with fiddle leaf plants throughout. Love how "fresh" it made the restaurant feel. Given their different menus I different times, would definitely try to come back and try their dinner menu. Price: food arrives in small plates (for sharing). Unfortunately, we left regretting that decision. From the start, the experience felt unwelcoming when we were seated with our 3-year-old daughter. There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.
