We came by on a Wednesday night and enjoyed some delicious cocktails along with amazing service. Not only did the bartenders help guests sitting at the bar, but they walked around checking on everyone in the lounge seating, and showed that they cared about the customer experience. They messed up on the first pair of drinks we ordered, but comped our second set of cocktails which they made ten times better. We really appreciated this. Adding to our lovely evening, the live music created just the right vibe. Mike Annuzzi, who plays here weekly, showcased some incredible talent on the guitar and vocals, performing great tunes including a jazzy rendition of Michael Jackson's Human Nature, Fly Me to the Moon, as well as some Richard Marx, Now and Forever. Sometimes we take good music for granted, but I don't want to forget the simple moments that create smiles. W XYZ in Sunnyvale features not just an awesome musician, but an excellent sound system too, with suitable volume and clarity, to go along with soothing melodies that ease your mind. Everything about my recent visit makes me wanna return to this spot. And you don't need to be staying at the hotel to take advantage of all this place has to offer.

I and others on my team were regulars here. Food: TBH, it's all about the deviled eggs. The menu is tiny, and traditional pub fair. They aren't trying to be fancy and they aren't trying to earn any Michelin stars. They're delivering exactly what you should come to expect here and places like it. I respect any place that pours a proper pint. They also have a fine selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. This is not the place for mixologists and craft cocktails. This is the place for people who know what they want to drink and actually enjoy the alcohol. Service: I was there around 4:30 - 5 o'clock and there were only a couple people at the bar. It looked like it could have been a shift change. Clearly the bartenders knew regulars. However, they didn't seem to be very interested in chatting up any new customers. My guess is they did not build this regular clientele, but rather inherited it. I grew up in the industry and was behind the bar for about 12 years. Let's just say that the whole place is super cute. The natural/jungle vibe is palpable from the moment you step on the campus and carries through throughout each of the indoor and outdoor spaces. We grabbed a couple beers and sat under one of the umbrellas and the patio area outside Valley goat. As the sun settled down, we took our second round at the picnic tables in the beer garden. So much to see and so much to do. We weren't here for food this time but the food it would be served in the beer garden and at the valley goat looked incredible. All in all a great vibe, friendly staff, and a hotel that deserves to be recognized by the locals as much as by the tourist. The last time I went there, I brought some friends and had the unfortunate lesson that DJs are rotated in. So we would not have the Vietnamese DJ. Instead, we had a DJ named Jose Melendez. At the beginning of the night, I requested 90's Hip Hop. He said, "This is 90's Hip Hop." I said, "I've never heard this song before." He said rudely, "That's not my problem." We were the only people on the dance floor for most of the night. The music was terrible and eventually, it became a chore to dance. We were dancing to excercise but spent the night making fun of the music by dancing as terribly as possible. What is the point of DJing if you're only going to play music that empties your dance floor? Hope we never see this DJ again. He was rude his music stunk.
