Omelet was ok. Pretty pricey, and there are probably better options for brunch down a block in Castro! Might be better for dinner!

Great place to come for a work meal! My salmon dish felt really healthy. There's a huge table in the back for larger parties. Street parking in the neighborhood.

God comfort food. Clean and welcoming place, friendly staff, and good food. We had the fried chicken, calamari, Cesar salad, and more and we were all happy with our dishes.

Saturday night dinner this place is half empty. Classic decor, big bar area, with split rooms for dining. It's not our first time here but this time we felt both the service and food quality have improved. The menu is generally not cheap, but we managed to find something for everyone of under $25 per item. Truffle mushroom flatbread, Ciopinno entree is only $22, Sctarch burger was $25 and hubby was very impressed with the juicy patty and the overall quality of the burger. I saw juices dripping out while he was biting onto it. My Cioppino was loaded with ingredients and the bread was buttery and toasty, every bite was so perfect. Water service was good that we were never out of water during the meal. Although we got different servers during the meal, we were taken care of and left to enjoy dinner peacefully.

Apple Slab - A dessert plate featuring a slice of pie, a swirl of whipped cream, and caramel sauce, set on a wooden table in a restaurant setting.

Not sure why this restaurant isn't rated higher. I had a good experience eating here. I'm wondering if the prices may be a little steeper than what most expected, but the atmosphere and service do match. The restaurant is very nice. Classy ambiance indoors as well as a nicely decorated outdoor patio, which is dog friendly. Wait staff were attentive and the food was delicious. I would love to return for special occasions and try other items on their menu.

Ambiance is fantastic , service is also fantastic but I was slightly disappointed with the food. To start my glass of house Chardonnay was very good. The beet salad was very good but the grapefruit and blue cheese with pickled beats was a bit strange. I had the scall and although the scallops were cooked properly they were a bit salty and the mashed peas were slightly too sweet. My daughter had the five spice duck breast which was delicious but very rich. A touch of acidity or a few more berries on the plate would have balanced it out a bit better. For dessert I had the cream brûlée and my daughter had the apple fritter bites and both were very nice. Would I recommend this place, maybe, I would definitely give it another try .

Brussel sprouts - A cast iron skillet contains cooked oysters garnished with chopped herbs, placed on a white plate on a wooden table.

I can say my wife and I both enjoyed our time here. The staff was friendly, our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere was good for being able to have a conversation. We came to this restaurant after walking by so many times and not ever looking at reviews. We can both say that we would come back for a special occasion like family visiting town. For what this restaurant does it does well. My wife enjoyed her drink thoroughly and all the food we had to eat. The brussel sprouts came out crispy and with a new flavor note we haven't had before at other restaurants. My fish and chips were some of the best I've personally had, and the flatbread was crispy but light. I would recommend this restaurant for a fancier night out!

Came here on a Saturday night and it's basically empty. Ordered the pork chop and filet mignon and they were cooked to perfection. The pork chop was so tender and flavorful and I really liked the oyster mushrooms on the side. The spicy greens tasted interesting (not my fave) but it was fresh. Truffle fries didn't disappoint either. Overall 4.5 stars. Will come back again!

Salmon Filet - A large white plate contains a glazed piece of meat, rice, and mixed vegetables, garnished with cilantro, on a wooden table.

We went for a family dinner. The ambiance is very nice. The service provided by Sofia was great. We ordered lobster roll , salmon, filet mignon, goat cheese salad and truffle fries. Except for goat cheese salad which was ok, all other entrees were great.

Blueberry Pancakes - A plate of stacked pancakes with blueberry topping, powdered sugar, and a side of syrup, served in a restaurant with a napkin and utensils nearby.

More of an homage to bars of yesterday. I participated in a fundraiser at Amandine recently, handpicked by a board member because of the ambiance & overall relationship to the local community. I don't have the details of the cost for an event, but it was money well spent to share our work with a new audience. The bar provided hosted champagne, Old Fashions, & filtered water for our guests. Decor is already amazing & bartender is gifted. He's like a scientist with an aperitif laboratory!! It was fun to watch him create & design & coax & mix & pour. Small bar with nice seating at bar or booths with chairs. Everything is well-maintained and clean. Lighting is perfect with fun accents on walls & tables. Lots of nearby street & lot parking. In fact, many of the customers are locals. Bathroom - just one. Darn. Otherwise, it's clean & spacious.

The staff was super kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. They were quick with drinks and genuinely friendly without being over the top. No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

And it works! I would have most of these again! We started with drinks of course. Her cocktails are expensive ($20-23 per) so we veered into wine which was a hair bit more palatable ($17-20). I had a Syrah and boyfriend had the Cab. It was cool to hear that Stephanie personally picks what is featured and we have to say, her picks were right up our alley. Disco fries - awesome. Fries topped with pork, cotija cheese, jalapeños, and pickled onions. Savory, spicy, with that pop of acid. What's missing? A sweet element you say? She got you covered with a drizzle of coconut that can't be seen but can be tasted. Goat Empanadas: the Izard namesake. Super flaky pastry and the goat was treated exceptionally well. If you didn't tell me it was goat, I would have just assumed pork. The hucatay sauce was herby and delicious. We also used it for the fries. Hamachi Crudo: really liked her play on textures and flavors here. The puffed rice and the hamachi were really nice foils, but the true star were those peels of kumquat which are totally in season now - bright, citrusy, tart. Salmon - this was a tad on the salt bomb side for me. The miso base was salty because duh, miso. But then then salmon was also aggressively seasoned before having a sichuan spice oil generously covering it. The salmon was cooked perfectly otherwise. Pandan flan: toasted rice, macerated strawberries, and creamy pandan flavor. No complaints lol. I would definitely welcome a repeat experience. We didn't try any of the big plates because we really wanted to variety.
