Very cute bar- serving cocktails (and they change their menu often!) Theres ample parking in and around the area which made it a good place to try after work! The servers were nice and swtiched out the tequila for a mezcal when i told them I like mezcal cocktails. They have olives and a cheese plate for nibbling along side the cocktails. The drinks were pretty delicious but definitely on the pricier side! A nice place to visit for a drink (or two) before heading out for dinner!

Menlo needed a great bar and Loretta delivers!! So happy to have this spot nearby-- came in with some friends for the first time this past weekend and had such a great time!! The drinks are great, service is quick, and the vibe is wonderful-- the perfect late night spot that Menlo desperately needed. Some of the other reviews mention bright lighting, but that was not our experience at all. It was dark and moody-- perfect for a bar, in my opinion. Also, we didn't notice any issues with it being too loud. We were able to hear each other just fine. Anyway, can't wait to come back!:)

The owner - Ali Elsafy - was extremely rude. We went with a friend who didn't drink. We ordered a whiskey, martini and an ice tea. Ali comes over and makes a joke 'who ordered the ice tea'.. we play along and said 'make it a long island...' Ali then comes back, doubles down and tells my friend "if you're ordering a non-alcoholic drink, at least order an expensive one - i paid 1.5M on this place. this is not a coffee shop or a juice bar!! " WTF??? Who talks like that to a paying cusomer? We left - unacceptable!!!

Thank you for opening a bar in MP and brining so live to this town! We love this place. The interior is beautiful & elegant with the wall papers and nice furniture. The staff are nice and make the drinks relatively fast. Some new staff still need some training but overall everyone is working hard. The owner is the best! He comes around, greets his guests and work as hard as his staff. We love the cocktails from the menu and also have ordered items off the menu - all great. The calamari is also fantastic! One of the best we've had.

Highly recommend the dirty martini, and great fries! Stopped for a drink friends, there was good vibes and service.

came two times in two nights. Finally, a cocktail bar in Menlo Park! perfect place to unwind and have craft cocktails made with love. Shoutout to Diego for making bomb drinks and even experimenting with different cocktails! 10/10 recommend, plus the bathrooms are nice

The mochiko chicken was sooo good, just wish the portion was a little bigger. The tables are extremely close together, to the point where it almost feels like you're sitting with the people next to you But honestly, if they spaced them out more, there would barely be any seating and the wait would probably be much longer. We were able to sit without waiting, so I get it. Overall, really enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back!

Using that language sets up an expectation that neither the ambiance nor the vibe is able to live up to. I can only assume that those reviews that commend this place as a speakeasy have never actually been to a real speakeasy and are more accustomed to box restaurants and bars. I sat at the bar and ordered a bourbon neat with a water back. There were three staff members behind the bar, none of them were particularly friendly or outgoing, which as someone who worked in the industry for years is surprising as a new establishment. Even though it was happy hour time, it was a Wednesday the place was less than half full and good servers /bartenders normally add to the experience and help creat a customer base of regulars to sustain business after the "come see" crowd is over. I ordered d' nuts as a snack and they weren't very special, even a bit overcooked / burnt. Maybe this place is exciting for a Palo Alto crowd that doesn't get out much, especially on the stretch of California given the lack of competition. My guess is that after a few months they will be hard-pressed to find a steady crowd.

The cornbread seems to have been baked and kept in the warmer as it was starting to dry out. The dry aged NY steak was requested medium rare and turned out more like a medium well after sitting on the table for a bit... The NY Steak had a robust meaty flavor. The side of potatoes and char were great. The campanelle pasta was tasty although the pasta may have been a touch over-cooked as the pasta was no longer al dente. There were plenty of mushrooms. The mushroom side dish was rich and rather heavy. The highlight of the evening was the milk jam pudding which was a lighter way to finish off a rather heavy and bold-flavored dinner. ~$110/head after tax and gratuity.

If you care about your waistline, do not get the Umami Fries with curried ketchup; that pile of deliciousness will have you addicted like a fiend with its tangy, savory flavoring. Deviled Eggs were standard, if not for the hint of kimchi. I didn't try the Chicken & Waffles or BLT my table ordered. I ate my fair share of Lemon Butter Prawns; a side comes with six pieces & trust me, you won't want to share. I got 2 quesobirria tacos and 2 tacos al pastor, and visually everything looked on point -- the plating was clean, tacos looked well-stuffed, and the birria tortillas had that nice golden crisp. But once we started eating, we all felt the same thing: the salsas were lacking flavor. And with tacos like these, good salsa takes everything to the next level. Here, it kind of held them back. They only gave me two tiny lime pieces, and I couldn't even get enough juice out of them to brighten up the tacos. Something so simple, but it makes a huge difference. We also asked for chips and salsa (they're not free), and they never came. Honest mistake -- they were cool about it and took it off the bill -- but still, it added to the overall experience. Another thing: the nopales weren't well cooked or prepped. They had that slightly tough, raw texture instead of the tender, seasoned bite they should have. Flavor-wise, the pastor and birria were decent, but with weak salsa and barely any lime, it felt incomplete. All four of us agreed on the same thing: This place could be great if they tighten up their salsas and the little details. I'd give them another shot someday because the base is there -- they just need that extra punch of flavor to really elevate their tacos.

The carne asada was our least favorite; the portion of meat was small, the tortillas were tiny for the fillings, and the burnt/melted cheese inside threw off the flavor. We also shared the guacamole + salsa combo, which I enjoyed, but just a heads-up: it leans on the spicier side.

Although we were the only ones outside, I saw that people walking by noticed us, and within 20 minutes, at least 5 more tables were seated--3 also had dogs. I ordered the sausage pizza and cacio e pepe fries. Server was ok. I had asked for the pizza without the Calabrian chili flakes. It arrived with a small dusting of them. Perhaps they forgot then tried to remove most of them? Crust was good and there were some leopard spots. The cacio e pepe fries were greasy and flabby--not at all crisp. Obviously under fried. I stopped the manager and asked if they could be cooked more. She graciously agreed they were not cooked correctly and apologized. A new, crisp order arrived shortly. I had the hot Japanese sencha while my wife got the Thai Iced tea served with a crushed iced ball on top. Roti Mataba, Crispy Egg Rolls, Farmhouse Wings and Crispy Calamari were our starters for this gang of eclectic diners.
