Stumbled on this place while waiting for my partner to do their dental work. The employees here are kind and telling all their good food and drink choices. I got the bacon egg cheese croissant, and a Shaken Brown Sugar Expresso (iced). The drink was great. The sand was good, but was hard to eat in the middle. The place reminds me of eating in Mexico. The photo I have attached is the ambiance of the place. Has soccer things all around as the World Cup is here in San Jose.
Horchata latte: 3/5 it was sooooooooooo sweet. I couldn't tell it was a latte because it was saturated with syrup or simple sugar Spanish latte: 5/5 condensed milk latte. Really enjoyed it on ice. Would get again. Service: 3/5 cashier guy was really nice and helpful. Our biggest issue was everything took such a long time, when it wasn't crowded. waiting in line even longer than necessary so that people could have extensive conversations about random things with the cashier. The weirdest part was when we got our orders and the young girl working on a Saturday afternoon handed us a Matcha Horchata. We didn't order a Matcha Horchata. We asked for a Horchata latte, but she kept telling us that was what we ordered and the receipt says Horchata latte... and she refused to look at the receipt and kept telling us to take the Matcha Horchata. It was just plain weird and awkward. Like what were we doing lol finally the kind cashier guy gave us a Horchata latte that was already made. if you're trying to grab something quick before work or simply just want a quick coffee stop, this is not the place. The music and ambience were nice though!
Cute cute cute cafe with Mexican artwork throughout and delicious drinks and pastries. I've visited this location numerous times over the past couple of years as it is in the silver creek evergreen area and my go to drink is their iced matcha horchata. It's delicious and makes me crave more. Its unique is taste and I love how they offer fusion drinks and desserts. They also have pan dulce and other authentic Mexican pastries. When they first opened, they would do cute art on the drinks and the designs change every so often. I feel like this shop is authentic in everything that they do with offering an authentic twist for fusion offerings.
I recently discovered this cafe because it's on the way to my current place of work, and the experiences both times have been nothing short of amazing. The baristas/people working were so kind and always greeted customers with a smile on their face. They were very patient with me while I was trying to figure out my order and were also very helpful in aiding me to pick out my order. The drinks are so delightful, the coffee is not too sweet which is the way I like it but it is also strong in the sense that it holds its own flavor profile. I think the drinks I've tried have been super refreshing and tasty! I also got to try a few of the pastries such as the avocado toast and one of the turtle pastries, my boyfriend also got a 3-cheese grilled cheese and I have to say, everything was extremely good. I'm usually quite scared when I get avocado toast at places because I fear it will literally just be avocado, on toasted bread. But the avocado toast was perfectly seasoned, it was riddled with lemon flavor which I love when avocado is mixed with lemon juice. That to me, is like the perfect flavor combo. So I thought it was really refreshing and it was super good! The toast was nicely buttered for both the avocado toast and the grilled cheese. I also really love the vibe/aesthetic of this cafe. It's very homely and whimsical, I love that they had pastries in the shape of little turtles and the bathroom door was shaped like a refrigerator. Everyone there, including the customers, were all super duper nice and friendly and it just felt so nice and calming to be here. I would like to find a time where I can go back and genuinely soak up the environment and hang out in the lobby for a bit. 10/10 would recommend! :D
Such a cute coffee shop with an amazing selection of drinks and food. I love their iced horchata latte and for hot coffee lovers, the cafe de olla is amazing with some steamed milk or cream on top. Their torta de jamon was delicious and everything came out super fast. The owners and workers are so sweet and welcoming.
This cafe is so cute! We walk by it often, and this morning, we ordered food for the first time! The lady behind the counter said the wait would be ten minutes, but we didn't wait long. We had an avocado toast that was delish, as well as a croissant-looking pastry and a pig pastry. The bike dish for the little croissant was adorable!! My daughter had a matcha, I had a chai tea latte, and my man had his coffee. We had a wonderful time sitting outside the patio, enjoying our food and drinks. I'll come back again!
The person who took my order was friendly. Ordered the dulce de leche latte and it was pretty good. A little more on the sweeter side but I got it as is bc I wanted to try it how it' is without any adjustments. Would order it maybe a little less sweet next time. Will definitely come back.
Been coming here since the grand opening ceremony. I usually get the horchata matcha which is great cold or hot. Im excited to try their holiday drinks. I already tried the marshmallow latte. Delicious!

It's inside a plaza , there's plenty of parking fur sure. The inside is so pretty, so eye catching. The cashier she was sweet . I didn't order food this time I ordered a seasonal latte and sweet bread . The latte I order was con fresa and I got the cute small breads that's in a bag. Definitely coming back to this location. We both decided on the same drink order, with the difference that one drink was hot and the other was iced. It was so delicious! Of course we got Pan Dulce to go with our drinks. Let me tell you, this place is a very Instagram worthy spot, with great service, food and drinks.
Seasonal marshmallow latte has real marshmallows that melt and is delicious. Their club sandwich has a generous amount of ingredients and made very well.
Torta and club was delicious, the drinks even better! Loved the tiny pan Dulce too. Friendly and quick service despite being busy. They also have a super cute add on to get pics on your latte foam. Super cute photo ops in the restaurant.
Wanted to try out a new cafe and this place popped up. Ordered some drinks from their Protein x Cafecito line up and food like their Torta and Avocado toast. Their protein drinks are alright. The strawberry one is my favorite just because it's a blended drink. Their Banana and other drinks are strong but if you like coffee you might like them. Their food on the other hand are great. The Torta has all the ingredients in a sandwich you can ask for a it comes later with a lot of mayo. A little too much mayo though. read more
Con Azucar is a whimsical escape with an amazing staff (shout out to Ricardo for being so helpful!) You can enjoy delicious drinks and foods with plenty of seating inside (and even more seating in the shared patio space in front). The parking lot is large, so we found parking with ease. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff. I immediately noticed the "instagram-able" hanging seat with a flower backdrop. The cafe had an abundance of colorful decor and wall art. The comfortable tufted velvet seating matches the playfully vibe of the place. Drink orders Refreshers: -Horchata Made in house, creamy with a very sweet cinnamon flavor. -Pepino Con Limon Made in house, a wonderfully refreshing drink that is on the sweeter side Specialty Lattes: -Dulce De Leche (+ extra caramel, no ice) The staff was very accommodating. Ordered "iced" w/out ice. Flavor is coffee forward, but the drink is also very sweet. (Reminds me of the strength of sweet Vietnamese coffee). -Spanish latte (iced +vanilla foam) Great coffee flavor with a nice balance of creamy sweetness (creamier and a more balanced when compared to a Dulce De Leche). A wonderful drink if you want a coffee dessert drink. -Matcha Cloud - seasonal drink Coconut water with Matcha Foam is a wonderful pairing. The sweet coconut water really is refreshing without being too "sugary", while the matcha foam adds subtle matcha flavor that elevates the drink. This drink is perfect if you don't want something overly sugary/sweet. Snack: Next to the register, they sell a small variety bag of their pastries. The pastries are small bite sized pieces of the Larger pastries they offer. A great way to taste the various flavors and types of pastries, at a very reasonable price. Restroom: The restroom is a single stall restroom "disguised" as a refrigerator door on the back wall of the cafe. The restroom is spacious and clean. It contains a single toilet and sink with a mirror. The restroom door is very thick, and has two sliding door latch locks. A wonderful spot to take a break, to relax and enjoy a drink, as well as an atmosphere that lends itself to catching up with friends and family. read more

First time at this cafe and I'm not sure if I would return to this location in all honesty. My friend and I were excited to try this place and upon ordering I noticed that the service was quite unfriendly. I greeted her good morning and she gave me an annoyed look then just asked if I was ready to order. The cashier also seemed hesitant to give coffee recommendations when my friend asked which was also odd to me. That interaction left me feeling like a bunch of question marks and we waited about 20 mins for our coffee and drinks. Don't get me wrong, this cafe does appear to look cute, but the tables inside were filled with crumbs everywhere. Aside from the cleanliness, I'd rate my horchata latte a 4/5. I do like sweeter drinks which is something to keep in mind for those who like a strong coffee. We shared a BLT and avocado toast which were flavorfully seasoned and portioned generously 4.5/5! read more

Con Azúcar is a cozy Mexican-style coffee shop with lots of charm. I ordered the hot chocolate and Mexican sweet bread, and both were comforting and flavorful. The hot chocolate was rich without being overly sweet, and the pan dulce tasted fresh. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed coffee break. Service was friendly, and while there's a little room to be wowed even more, it's definitely a spot I'd come back to. read more
Really pretty Hispanic coffee shop. Love the decor. BF and I needed a pick me up and decided to try this place as it was on our way home. She got a regular Mexican black coffee already sweeten which she said was good. I got a mocha latte special Willis was still too sweet even though I cut some of the syrup down. We both agreed need to be stronger but over all good flavor. Barista was very knowledgeable and gave us option on lessening the sweetness. Since it was after lunch there was not much Mexican pastry left. They also make sandwiches so will have to try that with coffee next time. read more

This was the second Con Azúcar Café location we went to today. The first one downtown was honestly a waste of money. Not great service and kind of felt like false advertising After that experience, we drove here and decided to give it one more chance... and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was completely different, super welcoming and friendly. We asked if they could put the Bad Bunny photo on our coffees since the first location didn't do it (even though that's literally what we ordered). The girl helping us was so nice and explained they can add the photo to any drink with light colored foam. I ordered the cinnamon dulce latte with vanilla cold foam and OMG...So good! This location is truly night and day compared to the first one. Great service, amazing drinks, and they actually deliver what they advertise. Plus, our Benito photos came out perfect and the avocado toast was Save yourself the hassle with downtown parking and the disappointment and just come to this location instead. I would say this is my go to place. I love coming here for my coffee and matcha. The ambiance is amazing and very relaxing. I honestly prefer coming to this cafe more than the one by the Tropicana . The customer service is better and they give you great recommendation if you don't know what to order. The banana matcha was my favorite and I would recommend the horchata latte or duvalin latte. read more
Beautiful Latin murals inside with A1 service. I only came for a gift-card but left with the feeling of earnest kindness (they didn't have sleeves but gave the card to me in one of their beautiful coffee cups instead!). I've been wanting to try Con Azucar and I'm so glad that they opened a 2nd location in the Evergreen area. It's located in the same plaza as the New Season market. I came here during the heatwave in the afternoon. I really wanted something refreshing, so decided to check out the piña fresca. This was super tasty and refreshing. It definitely hit the spot. I'd definitely go back to try the other items. This place is a bit pricey, but I'll still go here whenever I want to treat myself. The cafe is really nice and spacious. There are plenty of seats to sit around and hang out. There's also a swing that you can take a picture with too! read more

What a beautiful cafe! Super vibrant when you walk in and they have a large selection of drinks to choose from. This place gets pretty busy on the weekends, so be sure to stop by early if you're looking to secure a table. I've had their horchata and dulce de leche latte and I enjoyed both. The dulce de leche is definitely on the sweeter side, a great coffee if you're looking for some caffeine and sugar to get you going on a tired morning. I'm excited to go back and try more of their drinks! read more

I had been seeing this cafe on my Instagram feed! I was most intrigued by their giant concha's! Concha's are some of my favorite Mexican sweetbread! I convinced one of my work besties to come and try it out. She brought her two girls and we turned it into a girls day trip! We drove 3 and half hours to come and see what all the hype was about! Aesthetically this place is so cute and fun! There are a few photo ops inside. Bakery wise, there were not a lot of items to choose from, but there are other items on the menu to choose from. I had a Mangonada, which I thought would be a juice. It was like a smoothie. It was way too sweet for me, I couldn't finish it all, but it was delicious and refreshing! The girls loved all their drinks. The sweet bread was so good and moist! They have little bags of mini sweet breads you can purchase! The customer service here was not very friendly. I was excited to hear we are getting one closer to where I live! I will give that one a try and can't wait to taste their giant concha's! read more

Awesome little independent coffee shop with so much character! I ordered an ice mocha. It came fast and enjoyed it. Even more enjoyable was the atmosphere of the shop. The place is well decorated and lively. There are a lot of selfie opportunities if you're into that kind of thing, which my better half is. The AC was bumping inside, which was very much appreciated on a hot summer day. read more

This is my first time coming here . The food was amazing I really enjoyed the BLT it was the most delicious sandwich I ever had . The restaurant is very clean . I'd never gotten a chance to visit the Downtown location but this spot is in my hood so I had to come support. I came in this past weekend and while it was busy inside, there was no line. I had no idea what to order and I noticed they had a "Mazapan" latte which I immediately said was for me. I love anything almond flavored hence why I chose it. I also requested for Oat Milk which they had. First off, I have to say how happy I am to have a coffee shop in the area. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood ever since Starbucks left which feels like a lifetime ago. This spot brings some ethnic flavor I always appreciate from living here in SJ. From the moment you walk in, you immediately notice how colorful it is. It reminded me of watching the performances of girls wearing the Mexican traditional dancing dresses with skirts twirling as they spin around. Back to the latte: It was expensive. Right under $10 but given that they have prime location, I could understand. Everything is expensive these days. When they brought the drink out, the cute latte art featuring a cat holding a candy cane was a nice touch. The Mazapan latte was extra hot and perfect for a really cold morning (around 50 degrees). What I didn't anticipate was that the drink was pretty much the exact same drink as my "Honey Almond" latte that I order at the Nordstrom's cafe every time I go. So if any of you out there love the "Honey Almond" latte at Nordstrom's, then you'll love this because it's the same thing. I didn't get to try any of the Pan Dulce but will try the next time I get in there and have room for some carbs. read more
Absolutely love this place. I've visited the location in DTSJ and this one is smaller but the same vibe. They have a menu full of iced and hot coffees as well as refreshers. While the iced lattes are delicious I am obsessed with the cafe de olla. Its drip coffee with a cinnamon sweetener. The torta is also a hit. I order mine with turkey instead of ham and it's no issue. It's filling and made with fresh ingredients. I visited on a Saturday morning and this place gets busy! At times there is a line to the door, however, service is rather quick. But tables do fill up fast. read more

This was my first time at this location, it is pretty much identical to their first location. I tried their horchata and torta. Both were pretty good. I loved the rim alejen the horchata, I believe it was cinnamon? It is definitely instagram worthy with a lot of photo ops around the restaurant. My only complaint is that there is limited seating. I went on a Sunday and luckily got a table, but it was the last one available for some time. I love the music that they play, and really enjoyed this place. Definitely recommend. read more
