boy do i love me some cowboys coffee! top 3 drinks: mocha latte * charcoal latte * pumpkin spice latte honorable mentions: Cold brew * butterscotch latte Amazing staff that i could name off top of my head, but than i would end up shouting out the whole team lol...so lets say service is forsure 10/10. Owners are amazing people that hired a great team. Drink options are fire, i usually stick to the same thing everywhere i go but after a year of doing that here, ive decided to try something different because their menu is just that good. Small, simple, tasty. Seasonal menu also always changing AND love me a creamtop. plus, cute seating area with some turf and benches to get some work done, read, and connect with the homies.
Had such a great visit to Cowboy Coffee in Sunnyvale! This place is a real gem -- a relaxed, mostly-outdoor setup with artificial turf, string lights, and plenty of cozy seating. The Adirondack chairs around the fire pit are perfect for hanging out. The coffee was excellent -- flavor right on point, and the latte art was beautiful. It feels open and chill, great for catching up with friends or just enjoying a sunny afternoon. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a new favorite -- I'll be back!
Came across Cowboy coffee while visiting the area. It sounded good and had good reviews so we headed to check it out. The location was so odd, in the back of a school/daycare plaza type situation but there was plenty of parking, a large seating area and the whole thing was outdoors, which honestly surprised me. There were only two people working, and they were busy so wait time was a little longer than I'd like but that's ok. Menu was pretty cut and dry. I tried the butterscotch latte, warm. It was good, but I felt like the size for the price was a little high, but also could be location. My daughter got a hot chocolate, and she liked it. Overall, positive review. I probably wouldn't visit again, but was worth the try.
I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally had the opportunity to! They're usually closed on Sundays but we got lucky. They had special hours and were open this past Sunday. There was a block party, so it was lively with people around. I ordered an iced Latte and added Strawberry Creamtop, which is seasonal. The strawberry creamtop was light, subtle, and not super sweet. After mixing it into the coffee, I couldn't really taste it. I wished there was just a little bit more creamtop.
I've heard raving things about cowboy coffee and decided to check them out. They're a small coffee cart behind the echo church and city sports gym but they have a big area to hangout or get some work done. Staff is super friendly and very patient as they do get busy depending on what day and time you show up. However drinks come out quick and they're very tasty. Probably one of the better PSLs I've had outside of Starbucks. Definitely give them a try, I hope they're able to get a store front someday.
The charcoal latte is back! I've been waiting months to have this drink. I like it iced with a vanilla cream top. The service here is great. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I like that they don't call out your drink order until ALL your drinks are ready (if you order multiples, of course).
I love this place - this review is overdue. It's located behind the church - keep driving to the back parking lot and you will see a big grassy/turf area with tables outside. This place is super dog friendly and has good WiFi - a good spot to get some work done. The employees are always super friendly. I love their matcha, it's my go to. However, I tried their charcoal latte today and was blown away. Tastes like an Oreo latte perfection.
I really wanted to try Cowboy Coffee for a while now and was really excited to go today. Unfortunately, it was not worth the drive out. Two stars because this is a very cute location and I think it makes for a cute outdoor cafe/picnic space. The staff was also very nice. It is just very unfortunate that the two drinks we ordered (a matcha latte with blueberry cold foam and the butterscotch latte) were both not to my liking. The matcha was extremely grainy and had a very odd flavor. I don't recommend if you enjoy a strong matcha with smooth flavor and texture. The latte on the other hand was just way too milky for my liking. I can see someone liking it if they like super milky and mellow coffees and if that's you, I recommend that one.

Hopefully I can return again and relax with the kids! I liked my drink and I appreciate how they can adjust the sweetness. They did 1/3 the regular sugar and it was just right. One suggestion is to offer reduced fat milk. Otherwise, great spot!
Super happy cowboy coffee opened back up again! I discovered this place through social media because they went viral for their blueberry cold foam, and I will say it's definitely worth the hype! The blueberry is not artificial, and its very light , not super sweet flavor that pairs deliciously with their matcha or lattes. I would recommend adding vanilla syrup to the latte and then adding any of their cold foams since the foam doesn't have much sweetness to it. They have a seasonal cream top which makes me want to come back to try every season! Given that it's an outdoor coffee cart, their drinks are high quality and always consistent. The baristas are super sweet and always helpful when I ask any questions or needed suggestions. There is plenty of outdoor seating, some that have umbrellas. Parking is super easy as there is plenty of spots.
Cute outdoor coffee cart and love their blueberry cream. Got the vanilla latte while some friends got the regular latte and a matcha, all with the blueberry cream, and all huge fans. Overall great espresso flavor and love how complimentary and real the blueberry taste is to all the drinks. Area has super easy parking and lots of seating, but will get toasty on a hot day! Will be coming back because I saw that pistachio cream.... Great staff though and the owners are so sweet, support small businesses!
Their pumpkin spice latte is the best Ive had in the bay so far! Ive tried the hot version and the iced version and I added the vanilla foam top. So good and never too sweet! Theres no extra gritty sauce that stays on the bottom of the cup like other coffee shops.

After the person in front of me placed their order I was patiently waiting for the guy to take mines. He asked me to wait for awhile long enough for a huge line to form behind me. He seemed nice and no small talk until after I placed my order. Not sure if he was new but he seemed uncomfortable taking my order. It also took awhile for me to get my order since there was only 1 person making the drinks. I also had to cap my own drinks because of how busy they were. I got the butterscotch latte and the Matcha latte with blueberry cream top. First off, for the butterscotch latte it is very plain. Barely has any butterscotch flavoring in it. It's not bad but not good either. Nothing about it stands out. Next the other drink I had higher hopes for, the matcha latte with blueberry cream top. Unfortunately the cream top was more like liquid and barely any was on there. The cream top looked more white than it did blue/purple which is strange because of the other photos on here which is very misleading. Tldr: the drinks are ok but nothing unique/outstanding about them in terms of flavor. They should definitely hire more people as well for the amount of customers they have.

Nice little outside coffee stand with a grass area and many picnic table seating. It was a little hidden as it was towards the back of the parking area behind an Echo Church. I was in the area so grabbed a butterscotch latte with their seasonal horchata cream top. Solid 4/5 for the drink. read more

stopped by around 8:40am on wednesday to a decent sized line. this cafe is at at a church, specifically w their drink bar in an outdoor plaza/lot. lots of benches and tables. there were only 2 workers were there but they were quite efficient!! waited around 5-8 mins, but drinks came out in less than 5. was worried i would be late to work bc the line took a while but it was fine. the worker that took our order was super welcoming and friendly! maple spice latte (7/10): this is *exactly* how i like my espresso, good strength but creamy w a full mouth feel with no bitterness (i fear la marzoccos are worth the hype). the maple and spice flavors are quite faint though, but i love that it isn't overly sweet. would come back to try their butterscotch latte (originally wanted this UNTIL i got excited & saw their fall menu..) and the tables seem like a great place to read or chat with friends. read more

I really want to give this place five stars because the drinks are pretty good and the staff is nice, but I have to knock off a star because it's too pricey (an iced matcha latte with cream top is $8.50) for not having a proper storefront and only offering outdoor seating. The customer seating area feels unfinished. There is some outdoor furniture, non-cushioned seats, and some benches. There's not enough shade, and only some of the tables have umbrellas. I wouldn't mind the setting if the drinks were slightly cheaper. I'll grab a drink when I'm in the area, but I would never meet up with a friend here or go out of my way to come here. If you do come here, I recommend the iced matcha latte ($7.50) with cream top (+$1.00). It's silky and smooth (no clumps, yay!) and has a nice, balanced flavor. read more

Truly a favorite spot of mine for coffee or matcha. I typically order the matcha latte with the seasonal cream top. It's currently strawberry! The staff is always friendly and speedy. They've added umbrellas to every seating area now, so you can easily sit out and enjoy your drinks on a hot day. In case it's not clear from the other photos, this is an exclusively outdoor space! Very family and pet friendly. read more

(1) matcha latte ($7.00): smooth and silky, a mild super lightly grassy matcha flavor profile - overall a solid matcha latte! (2) flash brew peppermint ($6.00): the cold brew was balanced and not too sour, that peppermint was slightly artificial but mixed all together it was a minty brew, not my favorite drink so I'll need to be back to try more read more
3.5 stars Located at a stand on some fake grass behind a building, plenty of parking and not sketchy. Iced Flat White with Blueberry Cold Foam ($5) 3.5/5 Most drinks here come with 2 shots of espresso and it tastes pretty strong but somehow still tasted watered down. The drinks even with the blueberry cold foam is almost not sweet at all at 100% sweetness- I usually ask for 25% sweetness and actually forgot this time. Guava Croissant ($6) 5/5 This was so good. It isn't too sweet, there was plenty of guava filling/jam and there might have been a little cream cheese in it but the pastry is flaky on top and chewy on the bottom which is exactly how I like flaky pastries. Staff (cashier/barista) 5/5 Super nice and accommodating. Flexible to adjust my drink to my liking. read more
It's different. Very outdoorsy! It's outdoors on the back lawn of a church. Lots of parking, green grass, and tables. Great for those not too hot, not too windy days. I had an espresso with blueberry foam. The consistency is less creamy and much lighter than whipped cream. Tastes like a blueberry espresso. I love espresso con panna so this was a great change. One barista and one cashier, both very nice. I'll be back on a day that I want a change. read more
Was in the area and stopped by for a matcha. I chose the matcha latte with a blueberry cream top and oat milk. It was really good, I forgot to ask for less sweet and surprisingly it wasn't overly sweet. Service was berry quick (I was the only one in line) and friendly. I wanted to try the maple cinnamon cream top but the girl working hadn't tried it yet so I couldn't get a rec from her. They have quite a few tables for hanging out and on a clear day there is lots of sun to warm you up. Pet friendly!! read more

Cowboy Coffee is in a mixed use space that houses a church on the weekends but has an open area for coffee making and hanging out. They have a number of tables and chairs for you to relax at. They only have one menu and it's on the front counter at the cashier so you have to either wait to make your decision at the front or go up and take a picture of the menu first. Butterscotch Latte - Since the pistachio foam was out of season, I went with the Butterscotch Latte. I like the coffee bean flavor and I liked the butterscotch too, but felt it could have just been a tad stronger on the butterscotch flavor. I like my creamed coffees a little bit sweeter so I had to ask them for a little more simple syrup on top since they don't have a sugar stand. We went on a Saturday morning and there was a five minute line and the drinks came out within five minutes after ordering. They had parking in back. Everything was easy peasy! read more
Brewery vibes meets matcha lattes! Cute outdoor area, perfect to grab coffees/matchas with friends on a sunny day! There's a little turf area, some shade, and umbrellas that were put up. What a cute concept! Overall, drinks were alright and my friend and I wish our drinks for a little bit colder. They came out a bit lukewarm, and after you mix the cold from into the matcha, the foam flavors did get a bit diluted. -Matcha latte with lavender foam (4/5) - had a nice lavender taste, the default sweetness with brown sugar was perfect for me. -Matcha latte with blueberry foam (3/5) - I felt like the blueberry got more subtle with mixing. Service was quick! The only thing was, it was windy, so the table that we were at had an umbrella that toppled over. I had my baby with me, so I'm just happy he wasn't hit. read more
This was a long overdue visit for me. Matcha Latte, oat milk with Blueberry foam on top - 4.5/5. Was a fan, worth the hype. It wasn't too strong on matcha, I wouldn't have had an issue if it was stronger. The blueberry foam blended quite well with the drink and it makes this place unique. I finished the drink in no time. Will be a repeat drink for me and I'll also be back to try the butterscotch latte. As other reviews have stated, plenty of parking and they were indoors on a rainy day. Super cute hidden spot in Sunnyvale! We went when it was raining out and they had moved indoors, so there was a lot of space to sit and work with some really cute holiday decorations! The menu all sounded great and it was hard to pick which one to get, but the baristas are super friendly and insightful. They even gave us a free eggnog latte! The seasonal Mexican wedding cookie latte was super creamy and tasty, although I wish the actual coffee was stronger. The cold brew has really interesting fruity and citrus notes that paired great with the vanilla cream top. Not sure if I would go out of my way to go back here, but it's a great option if you're in the area. read more
I'm very serious about blueberry matcha. I'm obsessed with the one at Café Dulce in LA, so finding one in the Bay that I actually like felt impossible... until Cowboy Coffee. This spot is tucked behind City Sports Club in Sunnyvale and is such a little gem. The drinks are amazing, and they always have fun seasonal options (ever had a Mexican cookie latte?! they're so creative). There's lots of tables and outdoor seating, and there's plenty of grass for you to lay a picnic blanket and catch up with friends. It's peaceful in the early mornings, but heads up-- it can get pretty busy with longer lines later in the morning on weekends. Still 100% worth it. Will definitely be back! read more
This coffee spot is somewhat like an outdoor stand that it behind some buildings, but don't worry it's not shady! There's a place to hangout there and enjoy your coffee. They do have interesting things to try, especially the choice of cold foams. Butterscotch Latte w/ blueberry foam (5/5); This drinks was caramelized with butterscotch and reminds me of the See's Candy Butterscoth items. The blueberry foam add this nice sweet fruity flavor to the drinks. Interesting combination, but I loved it. read more

This place has gone down hill! Ordered a latte with double shot espresso and blueberry cream top for $9, and it tastes so watery and I'm certain we didn't get the right cream top. The lady at the counter had an attitude and said it was blueberry, it's just not "colored." Newsflash, I'm not asking for food dye, I'm asking if the cream was made with blueberries. (Which would've def added color to the cream naturally, and clearly my drink didn't have it!) anyway, waste of time and money. read more

Love the vibe of this little outdoor spot for coffee. Located in the back of Echo Church on astroturf and neighboring Omescape, don't let that stop you from enjoying cups here at Cowboy Coffee. Primarily came here because I heard great things about their matcha and stumbled upon their "will it matcha?" series on instagram which is very entertaining. Their coffee setup is pretty sweet. They serve pastries along with coffee and tea. I got two matcha lattes, one with blueberry cream top. Non-dairy milk options are almond or oat. The matcha is strong tasting, a beautiful green color and the cream top was delicious, it was creamy and had a vibrant blueberry flavor! Love the blueberry and matcha pairing. Service and vibes were pretty cool, the staff made drinks quickly and easy to talk to. Music playing was chill and there are plenty of places to sit around on the turf. Definitely will be back to try more of their drinks, their menu is fun and inventive! read more
Came here because my girlfriend always wanted to try the matcha latte with blueberry foam and let me tell, it did not disappoint! This isn't a typical store, but a stand that is actually right behind the city sports gym I go to so quick and easy to get to for me. Apparently they had an accident and their espresso machine tipped over and broke which is sad. I hope they get a new one. It's outside in Sunnyvale with the morning sun in your face so the atmosphere def feels relaxing. It was $8 for the drink which is the pricing now for matcha sadly, but I'd def come back. read more

Definitely one of the better matchas around and well portioned for the price these days. I gave in and tried the viral blueberry matcha. Such an interesting combination that just happens to go together so well! The blueberry foam almost seemed to bring out floral notes in the matcha. A subtle yet delicious addition to their already great matcha latte. Although not vibrantly green, the matcha here is smooth, umami, vegetal and coats your mouth. I'm all for it! Had no clue this spot was an outdoor stand. Honestly great vibes when I came on a nice sunny day. Country music blasting and people enjoying their drinks on their lawn. Plenty of parking too! Took a little while to order due to the line and only one register, but drinks come out fast. Will be back! read more
