    Nutella Donut
    Melissa C.

My friends who are frequent gym goers recommended this place AND it did not disappoint! The place is located in the second story, not too far from San Jose State University. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store itself is small but very welcoming and cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the caramel latte($9) and Nutella donut($5) and my sister tried their almond cookie butter latte($9)! We both really enjoyed the lattes, they were just the right amount of sweetness. The donut had to do it for me tho! It wasn't artificial tasting, it was not too sweet and so cutely presented. I will definitely be heading back!

Drinks are amazing! The service is wonderful, and the mother/daughter duo is the cutest thing ever! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was perfect for studying or enjoying a cute coffee date![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First of all, I was confused in where the business was located haha but the are in suite 505 directly across from Cali spartan. Their business name isn't posted outside the suite so just go up the stairs. Anywhooo, I ordered the mango and green protein juice. One with a shot of fiber (which I thought was a unique add on) and other with collagen. The drinks were very refreshing and light. Both were bomb.com. I'll be back for the protein snacks

    Oreo and churro/cinnamon waffle

[[HIGHLIGHT]]So yummy and so many pretty decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Owner is so nice! I had the cheese waffle, love spell refresher, and then I came back and got churro and oreo waffles with my friend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good amount of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The place is a little hard to find, I used the video on their instagram to find it.

I should have written this review a long time ago but I wanted to share that this place has some of the best tasting high protein low calorie donuts and waffles and even açaí bowls! You can get a "Jenny special" donut- it's a strawberry cheesecake donut with extra strawberries and nutella drizzle It's such a great option when you're craving something sweet but don't want to feel icky after!! I love love this place and have been coming for over a year now The iced white mocha latter or pumpkin pie iced latte are my go to's but she also has recovery smoothies and refreshers. support Latina owned & small businesses! The service is amazing and the cafe is perfect for coffee/donuts with a friend and there is also a tv in there playing music sometimes (:

The donuts are amazing ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As a first time customer, the environment was welcoming and truly a place you could spend time with friends and family while also getting a healthy sweet treat ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be a returning customer ! Overall definitely worth checking out whether or not you're into macro friendly options ! I will say though when you arrive , just be aware you'll walk up the stairs and they'll have their hours on the front door ! In case you have trouble finding it like I did ! :)

The place was definitely a little difficult to find but the service was absolutely spectacular! They were incredibly nice and very patient with us as we looked at the menu. The drinks were DELICIOUS and the donuts were the perfect texture, especially for being protein donuts. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! I'm about to become a regular!

    Caramel protein coffee (120cal)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]An absolutely adorable place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I spoke to the girl who works there and having learnt that this is a family business that has been here since 15+ years is so heartwarming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a sweet and homely place, and the concept is also so unique.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely recommend to support this local spot! The drink is definitely very yummy and knowing it's healthy is even better.

    Churro and Oreo donuts!

Took a little exploring to find this coffee shop because it's on the 2nd floor. So glad we found it! Loved the Marshmallow Cloud Latte. We visited several times so we tried the Oreo, Churro, Nutella, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Reese's donuts. They were all delicious! The high protein low carb coffee and donuts kept us satisfied and energized until dinner. Highly, highly recommend!

Got the white mocha and chunky monkey smoothie they were both delicious. The waffle is a must get! This place is family owned and the service was great! Definitely coming back here!

It was a bit hard to find, but this little shop is adorable! Just head up some stairs and you'll find it. It feels so homey inside and the staff are incredibly nice & welcoming. Delicious, super interesting drinks, and great after a workout! I will definitely be coming back!

    Marshmallow protein coffee

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was such a cute spot!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was looking for a good place for drinks with protein near school and I stumbled upon this place. The girl working was so nice and she even offered us free samples of their donuts which were a hit. I got the marshmallow coffee with protein and It was great and made me feel good bc of the 20 grams of protein in it. Will definitely be coming back thank you!

However, the taste was a little disappointing. I do like a fluffly, textured donut, however, these are served cold and very sweet. We got half a dozen of nearly all the flavors and they did not disappoint. Ube, black sesame, cookies n cream, matcha, glazed, and dark chocolate (tasted more like milk chocolate though). Soft, chewy, warm, and the glaze was the perfect amount of sweetness for the Asian palate, which is to say: NOT TOO SWEET; the highest compliment, of course. They also have poke here, which I may try next time. And while you're waiting for the glaze dipper to do their magic, there is a fun 10-second buzzer game to try your luck for a freebie mochi!!! While there wasn't an option to customize the poke bowl with additional toppings like some other poke places offer, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of salmon. There was a good amount of premade custard filled donut holes on display. Despite them being prefilled and on display, the donut holes were still crispy and not soggy! I was delighted from the first bite. The prefilled donut holes are different from the regular ones. They are glazed and more similar to a cream puff which makes them super tasty. I love the irregular shapes of each of them and how big they were. The cream puff texture is what makes this custard filled donut holes not feel heavy when you eat them. Very yummy and addicting. The service was okay. I was greeted by both ladies at the counter and the worker who had assisted me seemed very attentive. I got a dozen cream filled donut holes which were 8.99. I would say thats pretty expensive but for about .75 cents per donut hole, i'd say it's worth it. The ambiance was okay but for a donut shop I wouldn't really say that matters. The inside is a bit outdated but most people come and go anyways. The display looked clean too. I went to the location on Berryessa.

They're best known for their famous Burnt Almond Cake, though they also offer a variety of other pastries. Personally, I come here just for the cake. They sell it by the slice or cupcakes, and they also have whole cakes ready to go. If you're looking for a custom cake, though, be sure to place your order in advance. Whenever I'm in the area, I always stop by to pick up a few cakes to bring home for my family, but I can probably eat a whole cake to myself lol. As a first-time customer, I had no idea they donate your paid order if you miss the pickup date. I was told I received a reminder email and that the policy was disclosed, but neither happened. I spoke directly with the owner, Cassey, explained the situation, and asked why no one contacted me before giving away something I had already paid for. At some point, she basically just stopped responding to me on the phone. All of this over a $30 order that probably could've been resolved with the tiniest bit of customer service. Instead, I'm now annoyed enough to be writing a catty Yelp review and hoping for Peter Bakery's demise lol -- Edit: just to reiterate here, cause I hate being called a liar. I came the following day and I was told the cake was already donated. My call today was to escalate the item I paid for but was given away. Lastly, no information about donations in the email, nor was a reminder email sent. Rather than checking their systems to verify, they continue to double down. $30 bucks lost on my end, but I hope my review sheds light on their shady customer service. Customers usually come in, grab what they need, pay, and head out, which keeps things moving smoothly. One of the best things about this bakery is the incredible variety of pastries and breads. Whether you're craving something sweet or savory, there's plenty to choose from: melon pan, loaf bread, dinner rolls, chow mein bread, spaghetti bread, sweet potato bread, crab and roe bread, tomato bread, apple pie, and so much more. Don't skip the refrigerated section either! They carry fruit sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, fried bread, donuts, somen noodles in a cup, and other delicious grab-and-go items. They also offer rice balls and drinks that can be ordered at the register. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and give them a try. Small businesses like this deserve our support!

Clover Bakery & Cafe is a small Japanese-style bakery and café that feels like the kind of…read moreneighborhood spot you randomly discover and keep coming back to. We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.
