This is a local donut place I actually found through Yelp. I love me a good donut, so that's what I came here to get and I was not disappointed! Their donut lineup is fairly standard, but of a high-quality so if you just want a friendly donut shop with great donuts, Hooz is your shop! BUT! As I continued coming here as time went on, I tried other items on their menu and THOSE turned out to be so good that I barely even get donuts anymore and instead grab the ham & cheese & jalapeno croissant. They're seriously fresh and warm and moist and delicious and possibly most importantly of all, reasonably priced! Ambience is pretty neat too, like a donut shop and a 50s diner had a baby. Dropped by this morning to grab a box of the baker's dozen which equals 13 donuts with holes for &18. Very good value. I was hoping for ube donuts but they didn't have them this morning. Service is great even though the girl who helped me obviously was new bc she didn't know some of the ingredients on top of the donuts. Anyhow, decent location. Was trying out the matcha place next door and saw this huge queue outside this place so naturally couldn't have FOMO so decided to wait in line too. Let me just say, this is one of the very best breakfast bagel sandwiches I've had in maybe ever, I'm not sure. Maybe a place in NYC was better. Funny thing is, I've had so many bad bagel Sammie's that I naturally assume they're all terrible so I don't bother. This changed after Hooz. There are donut places that are open 24 hours then most of them close in the early afternoon. But we were looking for donuts after dinner and saw that Hooz donuts is open until 8 pm! We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It did seem when we stopped by around 7 pm, there wasn't a huge selection. The apple fritter was really good at tasted fresh. This place is 5 stars! There is just something about their donuts that make me slightly obsessed. I have been here a few times picking up donuts before work or just stopping in to get a sweet treat for myself. They never ever disappoint unless its because they have run out of my favorites but there is always still something else to choose. Definitely my local go-to donut shop. read more

Such a great find! The staff here are incredibly sweet and welcoming--they were especially kind to my toddler, even taking her order and giving her donut stickers, which totally made her day. The donuts themselves were high quality and absolutely delicious--fresh, soft, and just the right amount of sweetness. There's also plenty of seating both inside and outside, which makes it a really comfortable spot to hang out. Huge bonus: there are Tesla chargers right in the parking lot, and it's super easy to get to from the freeway. Overall, a really enjoyable experience--we'll definitely be coming back! read more

We only tried the jelly donuts, but they were a good sign of Hooz donuts being better than the norm. The dough was light like cake, not heavy nor greasy. The fruit filling was not cloyingly sweet jelly. Instead it was a fresher fruit. Kudos! read more

I started going there 3 years ago just for the great donuts. Love the bear claws and occasionally they make an apple pie donut...YUM!!! Then they added sandwiches. I tried a couple of the sandwiches and they are fire!! Now I go for the sandwiches, the sandwiches are so filling that I don't want anything else. Yeah right, I always get a donut as well. I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! It was my first time in the plaza and Hooz caught my eye, since I have a soft spot for mom & pop donut places. I popped in and was greeted with a smile, and cases full of donuts! I only got 2 regular glazed donuts but wish I got more!!! These donuts were so FLUFFY, which made it unique to other place's donuts I've had! I was given an extra 2 donut holes too which I thought was sweet. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches too, which I'll have to try next time I come to visit. Hands down, some of the best donuts I've ever had. Extra crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside -- and the fillings actually taste like what they're supposed to. Nothing overly sweet of artificial. You can tell they care about quality here. Coffee's fine -- just your standard cup. Totally drinkable, but with donuts this good, I kind of wish the coffee stood out more. Still, it's a solid stop for a quick breakfast or mid-morning pick-me-up. Hooz Donuts it's a great little spot today I enjoyed a turkey sandwich with some delicious donuts paired with a strawberry smoothie and mongo smoothie. My favorite are the French crullers and old fashioned - he threw in a few donut holes too which is so sweet. I was only gonna get a half dozen but I wanted to try them all so I got a mixed dozen ($16.99 with some upcharges for speciality donuts like apple fritter). No fuss, great donut shop in the Almaden area. There's some seating here but most people were grabbing a box of donuts for the morning. I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here for years but it turns out I never even knew they had a lunch/dinner menu! I had their number 9 (egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich) with added pepperjack, 2 jalapeños, avocado, and hot sauce! omgggg! Rick is the kindest person you might ever meet and the two bros who work the evening shift are a vibe. I was craving for some donuts and was looking around for a local place nearby. Hooz is in the Curtner plaza tucked away behind the thrift store near by. The owner was super friendly. I got a dozen donut holes and 2 glazed donuts. I was half expecting these to be a typical donut but these were much more fluffier than you'd expect. It had the right balance of sweetness to dough. I was anticipating more options, but I came late - after the gym this past winter. Their chocolate bar, chocolate old fashioned, chocolate glaze, and chocolate sprinkles were our favorites.
