I was craving for some cronuts the night before; was going. Some research & this place was one of a few that was nearby. Came in around 10 on a Tuesday morning, no line & service was fast & friendly. I ordered a dozen & as soon as I got home & opened the box I realized she added in some donut holes (win) . Donuts were so good & still fresh

=== Cronuts that actually TASTE like croissants === Whoa. Set apart from the rest. Stopped by here because we have a Manley's nearer my house and I was curious. This place's donuts were outlier good. + Cronut actually TASTES like a croissant. So many times, donut stores' cronuts look different but taste basically like a slightly denser raised donut. Not here. The thing breaks apart easily into layers like a real croissant and it tastes like a croissant. It's not only that the dough is less sweet, the layers really impart a different taste and feel. Impressed. + Lovely yeasty taste to their raised donuts. + Kids ordered that big chunky loaf shaped donut with maple topping. I usually don't get that because with so much dough, it ends up being cloying and heavy. But this was surprisingly light and crispy and heavenly. If you can do that with this large block-shaped donut, you're a magician in my book. + Friendly when ordering. + Gave us a 13th donut with our dozen order. Wish this place was closer to my house. Oh wait, no I don't... :-D

I go to Manley's Donut Shop almost every week. They have really good and tasty donuts. Every time I'm there, there's always a line of people getting sandwiches too, so they must be good as well. I keep kosher, so I can't eat or try the sandwiches, but everything else there is great.

The available reading material was old and the area looked unkempt.

Manley's serves one of the very best raised glazed doughnuts around. It's every bit as good as Krispy Kreme , not nearly as greasy as Stan's and not as sweet as Happy. It's just perfect. For the doughnuts I would readily give 6 stars. So why 3? Because the place is a bit of a disgrace for this wonderful neighborhood. It's totally unpleasant to sit and have a cup of coffee and a doughnut there. I recommend take-out only. The seating area is stashed with "stuff." There are three lonely booths along the wall and an empty space in the middle of the room where tables should be. The windows are covered with a film to keep the sun out; but the effect is extremely cheap-looking unattractive from the outside. There must be a better solution to the sun problem. The Venetian blinds inside are in sad shape. The newspaper stand looks like it is stacked with discards. There is simply no excuse for this unkempt and unappetizing atmosphere which severely detracts from the doughnut-eating experience.

I have been looking for cronuts for quite some time. So when I saw pictures I just HAD to come and try some. I got two regular donuts, 2 cronuts, and a Vietnamese coffee. The regular donuts were tasty and soft. But the cronut was disappointing. The ones that I have had are flaky like a croissant where there is layers you can peel. But it was too much sugar, I took one bite and didn't eat the rest. The coffee needed milk and sugar big time. So had to wait until I got home. I will stick to Lee's Vietnamese coffee.

If you're craving a donut with a hearty lacquer of goey chocolate Manleys is your place

Donuts taste good but price is too expensive compared to other donut stores. They charge 65 cents if you use a credit card!

Immediately upon entry, you can see the huge display of neatly arranged donuts, malasadas, and pastries and they all look amazing! So many flavors to choose from that it was a little overwhelming. As others have said, the price point is around $5.50 per piece so have that in mind going in. Ordering was simple enough and servers were kind and patient. Parking is maximum 3 hours and there are some tables and chairs outside to sit and enjoy your goodies. Overall, I think I'm still going to stay loyal to Doughweime in Union City, but these malasadas do live up to the hype. Everything bagel malasada: Surprisingly really good, a light cream cheese filling with everything bagel seasoning on the outside. And the texture of the savory donut was crispy and airy. 9/10 Strawberry cream malasada: Kind of plain, would've been good with strawberry bits inside. 7/10 Biscoff cream malasada: You can taste the real Biscoff crackers in the filling. 7.5/10

I've never had a stale one, and for years all I knew them for was their donuts, but what prompted this review is their chorizo and egg croissant. Let me tell you if you didn't know, now you know - the bomb.com. From the first bite I thought my Mother was in their kitchen. Their chorizo and egg taste just like my Mom's, texture and all, not too wet, and not overcooked and dry. It's double the size of Starbucks or any other place one might cop a breakfast sandwich, but not at double the cost. That's also what I love about this shop, they've been around a while, so their prices remain reasonable, and they don't gouge the community. I enjoy all the staff I interact with. Even the gentleman that doesn't talk much is pleasant. I'm a sucker for great customer service, and at Daily Donuts it's given. The shop consist of your basic table and bench set-up one might see at most old school donut shops, nothing fancy- simple and basic. Ty, Daily Donuts for serving your community what I'd be willing to bet is one, if not thee best donut shop in the city.

There was a good amount of premade custard filled donut holes on display. Despite them being prefilled and on display, the donut holes were still crispy and not soggy! I was delighted from the first bite. The prefilled donut holes are different from the regular ones. They are glazed and more similar to a cream puff which makes them super tasty. I love the irregular shapes of each of them and how big they were. The cream puff texture is what makes this custard filled donut holes not feel heavy when you eat them. Very yummy and addicting. The service was okay. I was greeted by both ladies at the counter and the worker who had assisted me seemed very attentive. I got a dozen cream filled donut holes which were 8.99. I would say thats pretty expensive but for about .75 cents per donut hole, i'd say it's worth it. The ambiance was okay but for a donut shop I wouldn't really say that matters. The inside is a bit outdated but most people come and go anyways. The display looked clean too. I went to the location on Berryessa.
