Happy Donuts is one of my go-to spots! The quality of the donuts is always solid and I love the variety they offer. I've ordered dozens for work events multiple times and they've consistently done a great job every time. There is some seating and chairs. The staff is really friendly, which makes a big difference. It can get pretty busy, but the lines move fast and they always seem well staffed, so you're not waiting long. I also love their specialty donuts like ube and red velvet--such a fun touch. We came here on a weekday and ordered a dozen donuts of mixed donuts. We got a wide array of donuts and it seemed like everyone was happy with them as the donuts were gone pretty quickly. However, the blueberry glazed cake donut that we had had a texture more like a muffin than a crunchy one we would have expected. Overall, the donuts were good. My friend and I stopped by Happy Donuts around 9am on a Saturday morning. It looked like your cute mom's and pop's that you'd typically find of a small business donut shop. The staff members were very nice and helpful. Their yeast donuts were nothing like I've ever seen before. The donut holes, for example, were perfectly cylindrical and lighter in color - maybe not deep fried for a long time. The texture was lighter and airier. French cruller is my favorite donut. I got one from Happy Donuts, and they nailed it. I also got an egg and cheese on a bagel for good measure. Happy Donuts only bagel left, which was onion flavored. These donuts are sadly not very good. Rarely do I not like donuts but these had a weird aftertaste. It's like a tangy, oily after taste?? Just very odd. This is the second time I've had a similar experience. I walked in and no one was in the shop. There was one lady in there and she kindly greeted me. She was turned around doing something so I waited and in the meantime two men walked in. Despite me arriving first, she immediately went to helping one of the men who had just entered so I walked out. My first experience was very similar to this as well. I beat the morning rush with no wait. For about $5 I got two twists that are GIANT and a chocolate donut. Really nice customer service as well. I was asked if I'd like any of the donuts to be separated, and the lady was thoughtful in separating them anyways so the chocolate won't settle on to the glazed donut.
