Yummy donuts! This place has been around for a long time, and it never disappoints. The lady working was very friendly and took our order right away. I used to stop here several times a week when I worked nearby, mainly for their amazing banana muffins and breakfast sandwiches. Years later, I stopped in again and the quality is still just as good. Baskin Donuts has been a part of my life since before I was born--literally. I grew up coming here before school across every grade, and now as an adult, I've watched the next generation step in to carry on the family legacy. The donuts are always fresh, the prices are unbelievably fair, and the quality has never wavered. It's the kind of shop that honors its regulars and stays true to what a real donut shop should be. I'm not one to really review, but the service here is phenomenal! As soon as we walked in, the sweet lady greeted us with a smile and gave our daughter a donut hole. Donuts are pretty solid and good quality. Old school feel and vibes. Brings me back to my childhood with the feel of this shop. I will 10/10 come back read more

Ronnie's Morning Get Together has been getting donuts for the last 16 yrs for our morning get together of cars . Everyone wipes out the donuts each month . We get anywhere from 12 to 16 dozen each month. I show up every month at 5:30am and my donuts are always hot , boxed and ready to hit the road . These donuts are great because they don't leave a weird after taste (like Krispy Kreme) after eating them. The lady gave us so many extras today she didn't have to. The place is old; sign missing letters, you can smell the cleaning products... but it's big in authenticity and sincerity. read more

Pros: - Very friendly staff. They always give my kids a free donut hole and sometimes free donuts when we visit and my kids are ecstatic. I don't think I can go to any other donut shop after that (customer for life!) - The donut, drinks, and bakery selections are great! Not too greasy and no waxy taste - Plenty of seating there if you decide to eat there Cons: - Parking lot could be a bit difficult as it does get full - The interior could use a remodel. The environment feels a bit outdated and a new coat of paint could go a long way - Not sure if they have a restroom there, so have to make sure to check with kids Overall - This is my GO TO donut shop and wish them continuous business + highly recommend it to all! read more

What a wonderful place right in our neighborhood I go in several times a week and get their breakfast croissant sandwich. It's perfect for breakfast. I always run into a few neighbors there. I love supporting this donut shop -- been coming here for years and it's always been the same. Today I came and ordered about 7 things but was given 5 extra items. Yay! I paid $17 for a full box of donuts, croissants, and fritters. Maybe it was because I walked in later in the day on a Tuesday and they still had inventory, or maybe it was because it's family-owned and they take delight in serving the community. Either way, they have all kinds of donuts and I'm never disappointed! The aesthetic makes you feel like you walked into a frozen point of time. I've always passed by this place but never got around to trying it but boy am I glad I did! They have so many selections to choose from including sandwiches and drinks. They have cake donuts and noncake ones. They are not too sweet and the donut itself is super soft fluffy, chewy and fresh. The service is excellent, they even offered me a sample when I couldn't decide on the flavors and threw in a few donut holes. I highly recommend coming here! read more

I popped in to pick up some donuts for a meeting. It was 12:30 pm and I didn't expect there to be much inventory. I was wrong, there were plenty of delicious donuts to choose from. I picked up a dozen and a half and scored my favorite which is the buttermilk donut. So delicious. Parking is easy and they have an area to sit and enjoy your donuts if you want to hang out. read more

I am not a big fan of donuts and honestly don't eat many of them. However, I do have some cravings for them from time to time and my #1 place is Bascom Donuts at 3966 S Bascom Ave, San Jose, CA 95124. I have been coming here for years,. Family run and operated they consistently have fresh donuts throughout the day. It looks like it's always been a donut shop and has a nice seating area. The ambience provides a clean, well maintained store. Parking is limited and sometimes a bit crowded. They have anything you possibly could want and the selection is incredible. They have the best French Crulla I have ever tasted! Soft, flavorful and great icing on them. The Apple Fritters, other items are fabulous. Always fresh coffee and cold milk for us donuteers! The service is always friendly and the people operating the store really care about the customer experience. Always a hello when you arrive and a thank you when you leave. Perfect Mom and Pop style donut shop. Small parking lot but everyone is usually in and out very quickly. Donuts are very good and well made. Good variety of donuts as well as pastries like Croissants, and breakfast sandwiches. Their breakfast sandwiches are filling and delicious, highly recommend. Bascom Donuts is the type of shop that brings back nostalgic memories. If you grew up pre-2000s then I'm sure you'll remember your parents bringing you to donut shops like this. There's no fancy modern design here. It's just a display of old fashion donuts, coffee dripping in a pot and a row of tan tables. Sometimes just the basic and straight forward approach is all you need to satisfy your needs. Don't let the appearance of the shop fool you because this donut shop have a huge spread. It took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted because there were so many choices. I ended up with an old fashion and a glaze donut with nuts on top. Both tasted fresh and delicious. This is the best donut shop in the San Jose area. The croissants are soft. The coffee is good. The donuts are good. And although the donut shop itself needs some work, the service trumps everything. The ladies are so welcoming and actually speak with you and offer assistance and help. They are attentive - "Can I get you note sauce?" "Do you want me to pull up the shades for you?" This spot looks like it's closed most of the time as they have pretty limited hours, but man, I'd you make it when they have their whole spread set out, you're in for a treat! Was driving by on a Tuesday morning and decided to give this place a try. Overall, I would say that the donuts were average at best. The glazed old fashioned was not pretty good. The chocolate and glazed raised were ok - a bit oily. The sprinkle cake donut and the donut holes were forgettable. The lady working the counter was nice and tossed in a coupe of free items. Minimum $5 charge on credit card. I just wanted one donut. I left with 5 donuts and 2 (complimentary) donut holes. MA'AM YOU ARE NOT HELPING THE HOT GIRL SUMMER CAUSE. But the donuts were tasty, my god. Bless her heart and all the hearts of those who make these wondrous traditional pink box donuts. Don't tell anyone but I will pick these donuts over Krispy Kreme any day. I remember at some point in my life I waited hours in a drive thru in SoCal for blueberry donuts. Mid morning on a Saturday at Bascom Donuts: no line, and copious blueberry donuts available. Times have changed. This place isnt much to look at from the outside but my goodness are the donuts the best I've ever had. I used to drive by this place pre covid thinking this store was shut down but my fiance found this place after years of trying out dozens of donuts shops in the area. So far I've had the boston cream. Glazed. chocolate glazed, cake with sprinkles and jelly filled donuts. (I normally don't even like cake donuts !) Every donut is crispy where it needs to, fluffy and light where it needs to, and perfect amount of sweet without going over. I will take accountability for my covid weight but Bascom Donuts is definitely contributing. read more

Literally the worst experience I've ever had with any place ordering ahead. Terrible. About 5 minutes later, I got my food. They made mistakes on it. Another customer who'd been waiting as long as me, stormed out with his food when it finally came. Understandably, he was angry - & the staff here responded by laughing at him for being annoyed that they're the slowest workers on the planet. Pathetic

Service is decent although pick up location is inconsistent between workers, sometimes it is in the marked shelves for pick up but sometimes you have to approach a staff member and ask for your order at the designated pick up time. Outdoor patio is by far the best part of dining in, I would recommend it for a weekend brunch. Indoor decor is very standard, so opt for takeout if the weather is not nice.
