As usual, you can guarantee quality, flavorful, and delicious donuts but don't sleep on the sandwich offerings. My girlfriend and I recently started coming here for an early morning snack on our way to work and this is our 2nd time here. We both got the Apple Fritter and BLT sandwich twice in a row now and every time it comes out tasting really good. Don't get me wrong here, I've had other BLT sandwiches before, but this one is on a whole new level and the thing is packed. It does come on a toasted croissant too which is nice! I'll try one of their maple bars another day (which is probably gonna be tomorrow) heh. The shop is a little small though so if there's a lot of people standing inside waiting just stand outside a bit. My girlfriend and I just sat in my car and waited because it was warm. The employees have been extremely nice and they get your food out to you asap. Every time we get our Apple fritters, they were so kind to throw in a couple of donut holes too. I like donuts, but I don't generally eat them. Gavin loves donuts but I limit that since it's not something I want him eating regularly. It's not the donut that's "bad" but it's a combination of things you do or don't do in your daily life that can turn that donut into a bad thing. Anyway. I ran 4 miles and was happy as a clam. Football ended so I feel like I have a lot of my life back which means I don't have to constantly race against the clock daily. I knew Gavin loves donuts but I wanted to confirm which ones he liked best. Ronnie and I decided to get a dozen since we have a total of 4 in the house. Great service! Great selections! Found this little gem through Yelp, and woke up early bc I couldn't sleep so I set out to grab donuts for the Little's. The shop is small and simple. Not much standing space but enough for a line of 5-6 people. When I arrived, there was a small line, clearly a good sign of yummy eats. 3 people working behind the counter, making breakfast sandwiches and such. Staff was friendly and efficient. Getting everyone's orders sorted- between in person and online. I waited about 10 minutes in total from ordering to receiving all my items. I ordered a handful of donuts, dozen donut holes and a jalapeño bagel toasted with cream cheese and a number 6, which is a ham, cheese and egg on croissant. My husband said the breakfast sandwich was delicious, he'd order again. The bagel was perfectly toasted and topped with cheddar and jalapeños. Nice little spice bite! The good: I came by after my trip to the dentist next door. I definitely felt guilty getting donuts just after seeing the dental hygienist who told me I had plaque buildup. I got toasted jalapeno bagels with cream cheese and they were amazing! They were so delicious and not too chewy or dense. The bagel was easy to bite with the toasty outer edge and the cream cheese was melty and delicious. My husband and mom also enjoyed this bagel though they aren't normally into eating bagels. I'd highly recommend trying these! I also tried a cinnamon donut that was fluffy and had delicious cinnamon crumbs on the outside. I got my husband a chocolate and peanut donut and my mom a maple bar. Service was prompt. They also sold sandwiches and drinks. Their donuts come in fun pink boxes that are shinier and cuter than your average pink donut box. They had a valentines themed donut as well. They also threw in 2 free donut holes. The bad: There's no outdoor dining and I don't think there are any spots to sit inside either (if I remember correctly). This is definitely just a grab & go type of place. The gentleman who helped us had incredible customer service and also made our smoothies. Ive gotten the mocha smoothie countless times but today was different. The jelly filled one was a hit with my mom she said "mmm" about 10 times. Sandwich: I got a BLT. I saw the BLT had cheese and a third piece of bread. They followed the directions perfectly when I said "no cheese, no middle bread" on the DoorDash app notes. The only bummer was the BLT had mustard on it! Super strange and wasn't included in the photo online or description. Sadly we didn't eat it because we hate mustard and it was all soaked into the bacon (couldn't scrap it off). Big fan of the jalapeño cheddar bagel sandwich and the egg in their sandwiches are ridiculously good (never thought I'd say that). My selective 2 year old loves them as well, so that's always a win! This is definitely a place to get food to go. I think on average their bagel sandwiches tend to be about 6 dollars each or so, so a good weekend treat. The good: Friendly staff, really fresh and doughy donuts, the maple bar had good flavor. The bad/needs improvement: The jelly was pretty bad. Again, a lot of these mom and pop donut shops use very generic, dollar store filling in their jelly donuts and it's terrible. The icing on the maple bars could have been thicker as well. Overall a better than average experience, but I think San Jose is ripe for someone to come into the donut market and really shake things up. Different flavors, higher quality, etc. You're seeing this in Pismo Beach, CA with surfside donuts and BAD Donuts in Elk Grove, CA. This shop has a great foundation, they just need to up their game a bit. read more
