My family and I have been enjoying Daily Donuts since My husband discovered them back in 2020. Their donuts are always fresh. I've never had a stale one, and for years all I knew them for was their donuts, but what prompted this review is their chorizo and egg croissant. Let me tell you if you didn't know, now you know - the bomb.com. From the first bite I thought my Mother was in their kitchen. Their chorizo and egg taste just like my Mom's, texture and all, not too wet, and not overcooked and dry. It's double the size of Starbucks or any other place one might cop a breakfast sandwich, but not at double the cost. That's also what I love about this shop, they've been around a while, so their prices remain reasonable, and they don't gouge the community. I enjoy all the staff I interact with. Even the gentleman that doesn't talk much is pleasant. I'm a sucker for great customer service, and at Daily Donuts it's given. This small business is tucked in a tiny, somewhat dilapidated lot shared with a liquor store and other small businesses serving the community. The parking lot is right off the main road and is tight but you'll find some 30-minute spots dedicated to Daily Donuts customers. Once you enter the store, you'll see a full display case of colorfully glazed sugary fluffs and as the welcome bell rings, the staff member will be out to greet and serve you. The staff is friendly and quick to fulfill your orders. You won't find many seats here as it seems people tend to pick up and go. Donuts by the dozen is definitely the most cost effective and exciting as you'll be able to try more flavors. All of their raised donuts are fluffy and have a good chew with each bite. Their chocolate is rich and not too sweet. The sprinkles are abundant and give a nice crunch. The old fashioned cake donuts are also fresh and balanced in flavor. I also got to try their iced coffee and although it's a bit pricey, the flavor is good and strong. It definitely would be better if the price wasn't as gouging. While we are on price, if you choose to get a half dozen as opposed to the full, there will be a separate box fee. Furthermore, if you choose to pay by card (for purchases over five dollars), expect a fifty cent charge for that transaction. Cash payments are probably preferred here. Overall, the food and drinks here are tasty and great to satisfy your indulgences. The price for donuts is relatively fair but the price of drinks is definitely high compared to other donut shops. The quality is pretty consistent across all donut varieties and the service is quick so you'll be in and out of this lot with a box of goodies in no time! read more

I came here for breakfast this morning. I ordered two glazed donuts, one sugar donut, one cinnamon donut, and one sausage, egg, cheese bagel sandwich. Everything tasted delicious, but somewhat pricey though. The donuts are so fluffy and airy, it's insane. The price for one donut is $2.25. The bagel sandwich was $7.50. It was fire too. The scrambled egg was cooked just right, the sausage had a great peppery taste to it, and the bagel had a good bounce to it. I also have to mention it was very hot inside the donut shop compared to outside. It made me want to just take my food to go. There's also a 50 cent surcharge for any credit or debit card use so I recommend you use cash to save yourself two quarters. read more

Was passing by and saw this donut shop right off the corner of Tully & McLaughlin & decided to give it a try. I was greeted right away by a very kind and sweet lady, which I'm assuming is the owner. She was really nice and allowed me to take my time on what donuts I wanted to order. I ended up spending a little over $8 for 4 donuts. I'm not sure if it has always been that price for donuts, but it seems like everything is going up in prices now because of the inflation. Where do I start, AMAZING FREAKING DONUTS. I've been to quite a few donut spots and this one is one of my top ones. The donuts are so light and airy inside. They always taste fresh too. They don't taste like oil at all and don't leave that weird oil taste behind. They taste exactly what a donut should taste like. Soft, light, airy amazing tasting dough. Very affordable as well! Stopped by here on Sunday at noon, while waiting for our food at the Hawaiian drive inn we decided to stop here for an appetizer. There was no line and they have covid measures only allowing 3 customers at a time. Shop is small and clean and donuts were all behind a glass. Prices were reasonable, got 3 donuts for $3.45! 8/20/20 So clearly I was overzealous with my previous review--I guess I lucked out and picked the good stuff. This time I got... 1. Ham and Cheese Croissant: Okay, yes, honestly I've gotten this many times and have overlooked their deficiencies cause I was normally happy enough with the other offerings. As for the croissant itself, yeah, they're low-grade like most mom and pop doughnut shops--and I don't expect no Tartine quality croissant k? Maybe Costco-level, maybe slightly worse. That's my expectation anyway. So, that's that. But I get these cause I miss the epic cheesiness of a version I ate all the time in SoCal. I mean, these are never even half as cheesy, but I guess it's just nostalgia for me... but this time, MAN.... the ham was pretty dry and all the cheese was pooled at the bottom. Soooo dry. But the worst part was that the underside was just a disintegrating pile of soggy mush. I even took care to toast this upside down so the bottom gets crisper, but that didn't help at all. So disgusting I threw half of it away. 1/10 2. Bear Claw: The underside where the apple stuffing is was also like the croissant being mushy and soggy, but even worse I think it was raw? It was totally disgusting. That portion was inedible, and I through it away. I could only eat the "fingers." FAIL. 1/10 3. Sugar Yeast Doughnut: Okay, this is where they shine--the basic doughnuts. Nicely moist. Good. Has a tiny bit of that raw feeling, but it might just be psychological for me after eating the other 2 disgusting pieces of... ....7/10 I think if you stick to the standards, you'll be okay. Most donut places close pretty early, so if you have a craving at around 8pm, and you live in SJ, this is your place! It is not in the greatest area, and the parking situation is usually pretty bad, but tonight I pulled right in front of the shop! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. The shop was a little cluttered behind the counter, but within the glass counter where the donuts were displayed, everything looked fresh and appetizing! I ordered 2 dozen Donut Holes, and 1 Glazed Twist. With each and every bite, I was able to experience fresh, fluffy, and tasty goodness! It may not be comparable to Stan's, but it was definitely a close second! Conclusion: Would I come back? As long as there are parking spots available, I would have to say YES!
