When you walk in, you'll need to grab a ticket number before ordering, which helps manage the flow, especially during busy hours. The Chris combo sandwich on dutch crunch bread was good. The Dutch crunch bread added a nice crisp texture on the outside while staying soft inside. However, there was barely any meat and toppings in the sandwich, making it feel like a thin layer of filling between the slices of bread. I was hoping for a generous portion to balance out the thickness of the Dutch crunch. I also got a half pint of beef ravioli, which was also delicious. The pasta was soft, and the filling had a savory beef flavor that went well with the sauce. It was warm and comforting, making it a satisfying choice when you're craving a classic Italian staple! There is parking available, but it's limited and the spaces are tight.

One of the best deli sandwich joints in the South Bay, maybe THE best, can be found on Lincoln avenue, a fact all Willow Glen locals know We visited for lunch on Friday and ordered a Chris Special Italian sandwich plus the chicken piccata, roasted veg, ravioli special, both were excellent and a good value for the price. The peak Friday lunch line stretched out the door, which was as expected, and thankfully moved steadily. Be sure to grab a ticket and listen for your number to be called. We then ate on the sun drenched patio, too sunny actually. It may be early April but time to put back the awning as I came away with a slight sunburned face. Service is crisp, familiar, and moves fast - a welcome briskness if you're waiting in line. Give La Villa a try ... chances are you'll be drawn back for a second visit and chances are you'll meet me in line. I'll be back as well

First things first when you walk in don't get overwhelmed by all of the delicious things that you see. Grab a number. Then the difficult part starts which great tasting things will you pick today. I always have to have the raviolis and a Chris combo. But there are so many wonderful dishes to enjoy. Walking through the cozy deli is like walking back through time. The store is full of ready to eat dishes and authentic Italian ingredients that you can buy and take home to make your own dishes. I love this place and every time I am in San Jose it's the first place I think of to eat.

No place better in town for Italian food. Anything from here is delicious, but my personal favorite is the meat raviolis and any dessert. You can even get the ravioli in a bread bowl. This place is family ran through and through which is the absolute best part. The service is attentive, and the staff is all so supportive of customers and each other. Love this place!

If you like deli sandwiches, definitely come for Chris's Combo -- that's the standout. I personally wouldn't recommend the ravioli, though. It's a cute little deli with plenty of outdoor seating, which I really liked. I gave the ravioli another try since it's so popular (last time I had butter lobster, this time beef & spinach in marinara), but it just wasn't for me either time. The pasta skin was very doughy, and the beef and spinach filling was super finely ground and kind of mushy. I ordered a half pint and it was very filling, just not enjoyable. The sausage had a strange hard texture, but the meatball was my favorite part of the dish. If I'm in the area with a friend who enjoys deli sandwiches in the future, I'd come back. The staff is super nice and it feels great to support local businesses. But personally I wouldn't make the trek over to try their ravioli.

I have been wanting to try Bertucelli for the longest time and I finally got to try it on a Saturday around 4pm! Parked in a lot a few minutes away and there is street parking as well. There was a line, but it moved quickly. The inside of the store looks like a small market/deli and most of the food is already prepared. My friend and I decided to share the arancini, vegetarian lasagna, 1 pint of the ricotta ravioli, tiramisu, and chocolate cheesecake. My friend also ordered the Chris Combo sandwich. Vegetarian Lasagna (3.5/5): Came out nice and hot. The marina sauce tasted good but there was a bit too much of it - to the point where it was overpowering all the other flavors and turned the dish into a soup Ricotta Ravioli (4/5): Favorite dish that we ordered! Simple and tasty. The ravioli was soft and pillowy and the ricotta was good quality. Similar to the lasagna, there was too much marina sauce. Vegetarian Arancini (2.5/5): I expected the same marina sauce that was in the ravioli and lasagna however, this sauce tasted smokier which I didn't really like. The arancini itself could have been more flavorful as well. For $7, it didn't feel worth it Tiramisu (5/5): I really liked the tiramisu! It was on the sweeter side which I appreciated and the flavors were well balanced Chocolate Cheesecake (2/5): We weren't fans of this dessert. The cheesecake tasted pretty sour and wasn't very enjoyable Chris Combo (3.5/5): Friend thought the bread was tasty and liked the overall flavor. For $14, she felt the sandwich was underfilled and a bit small Overall, I thought the savory vegetarian dishes were average - simple and very sauce heavy. If I was in the area, I would consider coming back for a dessert like the tiramisu

Chris Combo. Every. Single. Time. Love this cute little mom and pop that serves only the most delicious Italian bites! My first visit was on a weekend where they had set up an outdoor pop up to manage the crowds. I watched as the crowd come and go with stacks of lobster raviolis, homemade sauces, and carefully wrapped sandwiches! The key is to call ahead with your order if you're pressed for time. Otherwise stroll by neighboring stores and enjoy the people watching! There is a small parking lot outside and street parking up and down the avenue.

I had heard many wonderful experiences from people who had tried La Villa, and I finally gave it a try. I ordered the Chris Combo, which included a 1/2 pin of mac and cheese, 1 pin of ravioli, a 1/2 pin of meat marinara sauce, and the Friday special--a tuna melt that came with Caesar pasta salad, fruit cheesecake, a cannoli, and a small bottle of prosecco. Out of all the items I ordered, the Chris Combo was absolutely unique and full of flavor. The tuna melt was fresh and did not taste like it came from a can. The Caesar pasta salad was delicious--the dressing tasted homemade. The ravioli did not disappoint at all. Please keep in mind that during the holiday season this place gets very busy. I recommend placing your order ahead of time, as pickup can take up to an hour. Parking can be hectic, but you can't blame people--this place is authentic and truly satisfies your Italian food cravings. I can't wait to come back again. Customer service: 5/5 The place is well taken care of--very clean and well organized.

I finally came here and tried the raviolis! They have been on my list for years as a place that I needed to try and I am so glad I finally stopped in. The raviolis are 5 stars. I think they are better than the ones at Antipasto's in Alum Rock. I need to come back and try their sandwiches but I will definitely be back for raviolis.

Heard rave reviews so we had to stop by when in San Jose! Came on a weekday afternoon and boy there was a line but we were determined. It moved quickly so it was about 5 mins to order and another 20 mins for our order. There was a lot of people waiting out front (pickup is by the pickup window), which can be confusing and crowded. It was all worth it! We all got the banh mi dac biet (cold cut) and I split a large with my sister, which was super filling and nicely priced! Firstly I was a big fan of the baguette bread, I like the texture and how it's crunchy. The cold cuts were thickly cut and they were generous with the amount. It was so thick I couldn't open my mouth wide enough to bite it all at once lol. There was also a good amount of veggies (do chua, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeños) and I thought the amount of pate was perfect as well! All in all, super delicious, would recommend and I would definitely go out of my way to come back here if I get the chance!

However, as a sourdough lover going back to my youth, when I searched Yelp for a lunch spot last weekend when we were in the area, I was excited to see West Coast Sourdough as an option. Not only did we go there on Sunday afternoon; we also returned on Monday mid-day and brought Adored Grandson, too. The first time DH and I split the 8-inch hot pastrami sandwich with au jus on the side. Major yum! The cashier suggested adding their house sauce, which was a great addition to the flavors of the pastrami and sourdough. The au jus added another layer of meaty, salty flavor. I was very happy with that choice. DH also had a cup of clam chowder, and I ordered a chocolate chip cookie. We were happy campers. As I was looking around the interior space, I noticed several seasonal items. One was a lobster roll with bacon sandwich. How did I miss that at the outset? Lobster roll as a fast casual sandwich shop? Hmm! That was the reason that we went back the next day, actually. I raved about the place to AG, who wasn't raised steeped in sourdough flavor goodness, so wasn't as stoked as I was. Still, he really enjoyed his buffalo chicken sandwich. DH and I each ordered our own 6-inch lobster roll sandwich on our return visit. That is the only size that they offer for that special sando. Their take included lots of lobster, plus some crunchy celery and light mayo over tomato and lettuce, so it was served cold. That was fine, but the bacon could have benefited from a warm up. Otherwise, it was delicious. Because it was rich, probably DH and I could have split one sandwich and just ordered something else on the side. I was definitely full on the drive home. The interior of this location is cheerful, with oversized collages of images of California destinations and fresh food items on the feature wall. The team of sandwich artists kept busy with their orders not only for in-house guests, but also take-out orders. We didn't feel rushed to give up our table. We almost bought a take-and-bake large sourdough bread to bring home, but they got busy and we had to head out. Nice to know they offer that option for a reasonable price. Wish we had this expanding chain in Ventura County!
