Really delicious food, I struggled with 4 or 5 stars, but quality of food and portion size deserves a 5. It is one of the pricier burger options around, but you can literally customize your burger to your hearts content (or other sandwich type). We have had their burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken tenders and a salad - kale quinoa. Quality of ingredients - really high, really delicious meat. Lettuce and ingredients in salad were fresh, and plentiful. Portion size - a large fry or a large onion ring feeds my whole family - when it says large, it is large.I did not trust the first time and ended up with WAY more fries than we needed. But fun fact - these reheat really well! Some do not, these are great the next day in the air fryer (same as onion rings) The only disappointing item for my son was the chicken tenders, they were very small and mostly breading. Kind of felt like we had the last remnants of a batch. Good flavor overall, just not a lot of chicken and overall this was the smallest portion size, even for a kid size. And we order from them all: Mojo, Habit, The Burger Lounge. I would rank the Stand higher than these others for quality, flavor and menu selection. But definitely at a higher price point. One thing to keep in mind - paying for McDonalds these days is close to paying for one of these higher-quality spots and I will pay more $$ any day of the week to ensure higher quality ingredients and choices. read more

My friend and I had lunch here recently and I really enjoyed it. She had a bad experience the last time we were here and the restaurant gifted her a gift card to use on another visit. I had the Havarti Shroom Burger - beef patty, havarti cheese, double portion mushroom topping, regular mayo instead of the jalapeño scallion aioli, lettuce wrap instead of the gourmet brioche bun. My burger was cooked to my liking and very tasty. The lettuce wrap was large and with the paper wrapper, I was able to eat the burger in my hands and not with a knife and fork. Very nice. For my side, I had the Stand Slaw: house-made slaw with green and red cabbage, green onion, parsley, and our house-made slaw dressing. This was nice and vinegary. Kudos to The Stand's customer service team! After my original review of The Stand, they reached out to me to apologize for the inconsistency with the quality of our meal, and invited us to come back to give them another try. This wasn't a generic reply. Zachary specifically addressed the issues I mentioned, he showed empathy, and sincerely wanted to make it right. After a few months, my friend and I were ready to see if maybe they just had an off night when we first visited. We met up for lunch on Friday, and I made a point to order the same items so I could compare apples to apples. I ordered the ABC burger, onion rings, and a fountain soda. My friend opted for a different route. She had the Havarti Shroom burger with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, cole slaw, and a soda. I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked, and I asked if they could do medium rare. The woman taking our order affirmed that it was possible, so I let her know that's what I wanted. Would it be pink this time? Our food was brought to the table, and even at first glance, it looked much better. My burger wasn't drowning in ranch, and the onion rings looked appealing. I came by for lunch with a girlfriend who is picky about her food. We were greeted warmly by the guy at the cash register, and the servers were very nice as well. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with short ribs, onion rings and a chocolate milkshake with whipped cream (I asked for a maraschino cherry). My girlfriend ordered a plain hamburger and a soft drink. The food, as usual, was very tasty and came out very quickly. The facility is clean, located in a mall that has a Tastetea, Cha Cha Sushi, and other nice places. There is a Wells Fargo Bank in this mall as well. I prefer this location of the stand over the one off Lawrence Expressway. I like the seating area better. During my last visit, I tried the chimichurri steak salad and it was great. The charred corn vinaigrette was so unique, I loved this on the salad and to use as a dip for the chips. I also really enjoy the short rib grilled cheese. IMHO I've been to another Stand in Santa Clara, but this was my first visit to this new location. My friend and I each ordered The Stand burger plus an order of small onion rings to share. I was asked for my choice of dips and asked for two containers of ketchup. We grabbed some free pickles and chips from a tray on the counter. When our burgers arrived, I asked for to-go boxes since I knew I'd be eating only half and bringing the rest home. The kind server, Frankie (?) brought us each a knife to cut our burgers and two take-out boxes! I unwrapped my burger to cut it and was surprised to feel the top bun was cold as if it had just been taken out of the fridge. No burger should sit in a cold bun. However, the burger was tasty but messy to eat. I felt like the bun fell apart too easily as I ate it. Is the bun supposed to be toasted? I don't know... Onion rings were good. Service was friendly. An upscale, american fast food chain forsure. My friend and I came here a week ago after walking comm hills. The Santa Clara location was what I had bookedmarked for a long time, but didn't get a chance to try it yet! We took at least 10 minutes to look at the menu and there were so many options! They also offer free house chips, and pickles at the register as well. I ended up getting a jalapeno burger and my friend got their grilled cheese (forgot the meat name). It was definitely filling. I initially asked for a lettuce wrap but dont think the cashier's knew what I was asking for. I ordered a burger with the patty cooked medium, but it was well-done and extremely salty. I couldn't eat it. More than happy and willing to answer questions and make their recommendations. My husband and I ordered beef burgers on brioche buns with the veggies. Finally opened a Stand near my house and I'm super stoked, the inside is super big with plenty of seating. What I love about this place is that they have such a wide variety of menu options from burgers, hot dogs, salads and more. I wasn't in the mood for a burger which I have had before here. This is a nice clean space. Good site lines and the bar is around the corner from the ordering area. It looks like they might be moving to a touchscreen ordering system, but on my visit, there was still a human, taking orders and able to answer my questions. While this is a hamburger place, what caught my eye is mentioned that they're hotdog is Vienna beef. Coming from Chicago to me that means a David Berg all beef kosher hotdog. I don't know if that's what this is, if it is then they might want to mention that it's kosher. And actually put up some of the marketing material from David Berg. Anyway, I ordered the hotdog and while I had a choice of four condiments, I only went with three. Yellow mustard, pickled onions, and diced tomatoes. If they had fresh chopped jalapeños on offer, I would've added those, but they only have pickled jalapeños, and those upset my stomach. It would be even better if they had sport peppers from Chicago, but they don't :-( I also ordered the french fries with ketchup, and I also took some fire sauce to sample I took a seat with a number and my food arrived shortly after. The hot dog looks pretty good and is relatively substantial in size. I liked the flavors, but next time I will tell them to go a little easy on the mustard. The french fries are a thick cut fry with that starch coating for a crispy outside. That was first adopted by a Burger King I believe. Dipped in the ketchup they were OK but I think they should bring two ketchup so that there's enough for dipping. I had to go back and ask for a second one. And perhaps I actually could've used three because I also used the french fries to dip in the fire sauce. The fire sauce at first reminded me of Sriracha, but it's something that's going to sit in your stomach for a little while. Take it easy with that in mind. The staff here is friendly and helpful. I could definitely see coming here with some friends after work for a couple drinks and a hamburger or a hotdog. The modern decor is vibrant and inviting. I enjoyed the American diner ambiance and family friendly vibe. There are plenty of booths, tables, and high tops for dine-in in the restaurant. An abundance of tables are available in the patio as well. A full bar was located in the corner. Plenty of TVs hanging complimented the atmosphere. We ordered a short rib grilled cheese, a Stand burger, a kids Mac & cheese, a glass of Chardonnay, and a regular order of onion rings. Everything was delicious. My short rib grilled cheese had a scrumptious combination of tender rib meat and gooey cheddar cheese. A bit hearty but It was oozing with flavor with every bite. Some the onion rings had huge pieces of onions which was ok. The complimentary dipping sauces went very well with all the food. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Stand. The service was friendly and helpful. It did take a little longer for the food to come out but that's fine. I thought the price point was more than fair. Food: *Onion Stack Burger: beef patty, crispy onion strings, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, bacon tomato jam, hickory sauce, on a brioche bun (3.5/5). It is a thin patty, so it was hard to taste the seasoning in the burger. But, regardless, this burger had a lot of flavor and textures going on from the other ingredients. Like the crunchiness from the onion strings and from the strips of bacon and bacon tomato jam which was the highlight for me. Also anything with crispy onion strings/rings and hickory sauce, and that's my choice of burger first! The freshness of the lettuce and tomato added to the complete burger experience. *Mac n' Cheese (4/5) - it had good flavor and the bread crumb topping. My wife wished it was served hotter (temperature wise) but personally, I think the pasta held it's shape and cheesiness perfectly this way. Service: Friendly, welcoming. After paying, get your number stand, and they will bring your food to your table. Con: The Stand App if downloaded earns you points/rewards, get free french fries as a first reward. Fairly new, this place replaced the Aquis, staff were very energetic and welcoming, and be prepared to bring a jacket because the air conditioning was cranked up. It's currently scorching hot outside so I appreciated the crisp and chill air in here. Food came our fairly quickly. The salad was fresh and the cookie (chocolate chip) was chewy. It's a bit weird that the chili cheese fries came with diced tomatoes but other than that we had no complaints about this place. When I first visited The Stand right after it opened I gave it 5 stars. I thought it was excellent and the service was great. After the grand opening was over though the quality and service decreased steadily. The food is good, and mostly the same flavors, but the service is lacking. The past several times I've gone to The Stand I have found a number of issues. I got the app, but I have to remind the server every time otherwise I don't get the points. It's kind of weird since they pushed it so hard at the beginning and the advertisements often offer double or triple points on certain days. Do they not want me to use it? I often get a cocktail when I'm there. The cocktails have all been good but they take forever to make. The same bartender is usually there and spends most of his time talking to people at the bar. The last time I was there, the bar had two bartenders (I believe they were switching shifts.) It still took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. The food still takes longer. It seems they don't know how to prioritize and get the food done at once. Sometimes we order green beans and they are super hot but the burgers are cold. The last time the burgers were hot but the onion rings were cold and chewy like they had been sitting a while. The food is pretty good. It's not cheap but it's a nice place to go for a meal that isn't fast food, but you can get a cocktail yet it's not super expensive. We've been here twice in the span of a week. Once for a birthday where we sat outside and had a mix of food and beverages. The service was quick and friendly and everyone was happy with their food. Last Friday we went for happy hour and the place was packed. We were lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar. Service and food was also good. People were friendly and patient because they were pretty slammed. Their set up is basically the same as it was when Aqui's was there. I was excited to see a new casual but up-scale burger and Americana joint open near our regular haunts. I'm always down for a good burger with pleasant surroundings and the menu and pics on Yelp looked perfect. Unfortunately, the patty of my "Stand" burger was just OK, about the same thickness and flavor of a good fast food burger with none of the plump juiciness I was expecting. This should be their signature dish but instead it was ... OK. Nothing stood out on the menu although to be fair my companion was more pleased with her "ABC" burger. Loved the shake and the (too) small sauces that came with the fries, we got more sauces after asking. The staff was friendly, helpful, and available but there are better places if you are looking for a "Stand" out burger! As always, try it yourselves-YOMV. (Your opinions may vary). Really happy to have tried the stand - it was definitely on the list of places to try, they have plenty of options not just burgers but they also have a build you own burger option which is always my favorite because I love to be able to customize anything to fit my liking. They have plenty to choose from and also a full bar. It's a spacious environment with great customer service and plenty of parking. Service was great on all levels read more

Normally the food is OK. Not amazing but decent. However, my wife got food poisoning last night from this place and ended up in the hospital so I recommend you avoid eating here. Not worth it! read more
